7 Episodes of chase

This show makes me so angry... I enjoyed watching it to an extent, because I like Yim & Tutor, have since Cutie Pie and I liked Yim's character in Bed Friends but their chemistry in this one felt a little off to me, I'm not sure If the characters are supposed to be a little awkward (i haven't read the novel) but Jade didn't seem like this in Bed Friends.

-The spicy scene between Jade and Mai was so good, they were holding out on us, and Mai doing everything with his tongue made me feel things I shouldn't, personally its right under King and Uea's scenes, Mai's tongue, and lips and the rose was a paid actor.. Also Jade knew exactly what he was doing, he wasn't shy during the bed scenes

Jade & Mai - These two made me mad, for 7 episodes They were playing chase with each other, and then of course on the last episode we saw them being cute and cuddly and it just made me upset because I like these two together and would've like to see them in love more than one episode - I hope they get another series together soon- also the beginning of Ep 8 when they kiss, Toturs big lips devor Yim and i needed more of that.

Uea & King - I will forever love these two, I know that this show isn't about them and they were just the side helping BUT I needed more of them, just like a little more. Their spicy chemistry is next level and I wish we could've seen just a smidge more of them.

Tong & Gus - Same for these two, I have loved them together since Friends Forever but we didn't get to see much of them, I hope they can have another show together. I think what we got of them was so good and they have great chemistry

IU

I know it won’t resonate with everyone, but for me it is a very rare 10/10.

An emotional rollercoaster that'll leave you feeling a whole range of things. It's one of those shows that slowly creeps up on you, quietly tugging at your heartstrings until you're a sobbing mess.

IU's performance as Ji-an is simply breathtaking. She completely embodies the character, bringing a raw, unfiltered emotion to the screen. You can feel her pain, her loneliness, and her resilience in every scene. Her transformation from a lost, troubled soul to a stronger, more hopeful person is both inspiring and heartbreaking. Every glance, every gesture, every tear – it's all so raw and real.

Lee Sun-Kyun, as always, delivers a stellar performance. His portrayal of Park Dong-hoon, a weary, middle-aged man, is both poignant and relatable. He captures the character's quiet desperation, his loneliness, and his gradual growth with such subtlety and nuance. You can see the weight of the world on his shoulders, and his slow, steady journey towards healing is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

The supporting cast is equally impressive. Each character, no matter how small, is a fully-realized individual with their own unique story. The show delves deep into their backstories, adding layers of complexity and depth to the narrative. From the quirky and lovable office workers to the troubled family members, each character brings something unique to the table.
My Mister is a slow-burn drama that rewards patience. It's a show that's not afraid to tackle tough issues like loneliness, grief, and the meaning of life. But it's also a show about the power of human connection, the importance of empathy, and the beauty of finding solace in unexpected places.

One of the things I love most about My Mister is the way it explores the complexities of human relationships. The bond between Ji-an and Park Dong-hoon is a unique and beautiful one. It's a testament to the power of human connection and the transformative nature of empathy. Watching their relationship develop, from initial distrust to deep friendship, is a truly heartwarming experience.

The cinematography is perfect. The soundtrack is perfect.

• The power of connecting with someone
• Amazing performances by IU and Lee Sun-Kyun.
• Loneliness, healing, and friendship.
• GOATed OST
• Great supporting cast

This drama was unnecessarily long. I couldn't wait for it to end and endured thirty something episodes. The last few episodes were good. Just watch the first few episodes to get the gist of the story and the watch the remaining 4 eps to finish off this show.
There were no chemistry between Hawick and Yan Song. It was like pulling teeth out of her to get some kind of an emotion. She's like a robot. There were only a few scenes that you can see some potential from her. Hawick seemed to have carried the weight of this drama. I like the supporting cast members. The boy was too cute. Loved his awesome curly hair. The designer couple was great. They made the scenes with Yan Song bearable. Not sure what Yan Song's frenemy's role was in here. Was she an nemesis or a friend. I liked how they killed off Hawick's rivalry.
I would not recommend this to anyone. Bad bad bad....unless you wanna see Hawick's handsome face.

Short and sweet!

It's was good and I liked the fact that they also used pandemic in story so it was interesting. It's just 6 ep and 10-12 minutes ep so it's like a short movie and I enjoyed it. I liked the chemistry between leads and I would have liked it more if there were more episodes but still it's good and worth watching.. give it a try you're not investing too much time. Actually I'm little bit confused about ending I really didn't get whole thing what happened but it's okay.

It was cute, sweet and light made my mind at ease..

Where is the wedding??..Typical MAME

At first I thought 7 eps are a bit short. But, after watching this drama I felt 7 episodes are more than enough. There is nothing new in this drama nor any message is delivered.

Coming to the acting, leads are good actors(not great). Sometimes I felt nuea's acting a lil cringey. The most cringiest part I felt was the entire yiwa and marine's story. The sotry is really well organized. It delivered what it was supposed to, but not entertaining enough. End of the day the leads have great chemistry.

Things I liked about the entire drama is - It is fast paced, cameos of prapai x sky and payu x rain. Also, mame has a different style telling that the story is MAME's LOL. But I just want to ask sailom and nuea is that, "You have reached the point where everyone accepted both of you, but where is the wedding that you have planned" haha :)

So, if you have nothing new to watch or want something that is not toxic, something that is fast paced, and are a fan of Love in the Air drama, then this is it..Go Watch it!!

P.S. - I watched it for the cameos of LITA couples LOL !!!

The ending was ambiguous

I enjoyed this drama. The story was good and there were some plot twists that literally blow your mind. However, I don't like the ending because I felt at the ending the couple were still hesitating and cautious about each other. I mean it is so obvious that they need each other and that might be their happy ending. Overall, what I really need to say is the ending was ambiguous. I personally think the audience needed a definitive ending because they waited for a better and happy ending for Sang Su and Su Young.

Fabulous Acting, Great CGI, Great Story

This is one of the very few dramas that I find so relaxing and enjoyable. It is very funny and yet not comical. The humors come mostly from the marvelous acting, the dialogues and the dynamics between the characters. As this is a drama revolving around supernatural phenomena, the CGI here is simply top-notched. This drama is the third season of the Wu Xin series. Despite this, the timeline is a lot earlier than the previous two series, setting in the Tang dynasty period. One doesn't need to watch the previous two seasons to understand this one; everything is explained clearly and flows nicely. This drama stands alone as a complete series.

Elvis Han (plays Wu Xin) is a marvelous actor. He has an air of maturity and provides stability in every situation he's in, and yet he doesn't lack that humorous and playful demeanor. I really enjoy all his scenes. As a man with no heart, (his name Wu Xin literally means no heart in Chinese), he's an immortal. The use of homophone and puns with his name is hilarious as the phrase wu xin can also mean "unintentional". But Wu Xin is so fed up with living forever that he contracts killers to kill himself as he has not been successful in doing so himself. His journey in seeking his own death is simply so outrageous and funny. I really enjoy the parts when Wu Xin is possessed by Liu Xuan Hu making him taking opposite actions and bickering within himself. The scenes are so funny and Elvis Han is fabulous in acting out both characters at the same time.

Comes the girl that falls for him, and eventually he for her. Chen Yao (aka Sabrina Chen) plays both roles as a twin girl in Liu Qing Luan and her twin brother in Liu Xuan Hu. With a slender physique, Chen Yao's portrayal of Liu Xuan Hu is amazing as she looks like a weak, sickly, feminine boy who excels academically. No one knows the talented scholar has an identical twin sister who helps settle scores for him. One really cannot tell if Liu Xuan Hu is a boy or a girl, even Wu Xin is confused; he has treated Liu Xuan Hu as a boy when in actual fact it's Liu Qing Luan's disguise. The discovery process is so funny, and Elvis Han's expression of surprise is an outstanding acting. Switching in and out of her role as a male and female character, Chen Yao has done a fantastic job. Bravo to her amazing acting.

In their quest to seek death for Wu Xin and cure for Liu Xuan Hu sickly body (what an irony), they encounter mysteries and crimes. Every event is related to another and unfolds nicely over time, usually through medium and "fa shu" delivered by the Taoist master. The initial unseen dark force that seems to mastermind everything turns out to be a previous acquaintant of Wu Xin. Their relationship, dynamics and dialogues are just a joy to watch. The seemingly unseen fearsome and mysterious character suddenly becomes a person with a cartoonish looking mask. Many of the characters that seem to be sinister in the beginning turn out to be harmless. One of my most enjoyable moments is watching Elvis Han handling a baby; he's such a pro and the scenes where both powerful fa shi, Wu Xin and Bai Liu Li, rendered helpless by a crying baby is just hilarious.

As expected, when an immortal falls in love with a mortal, how the ending would be. As Liu Qing Luan ages and finally dies in Wu Xin's arms, Wu Xin is still as youthful but the pain he is suffering is immeasurable, though this is the umpteenth time he is going through it. Each time, the pain of loss of a loved one is new and unforgettable for him. The only way to relieve himself from all these pains is not through death (which he can't die) but through letting go. Finally, Wu Xin realizes that he needs to forget after every life that leaves him, and to start afresh. That's the only way to continue living to eternity.

Oh, have I mentioned the sound tracks (OSTs)? They are very good. Love them!

Don't be misled by the low rating. This drama should have received a much higher rating had it not because English subs are not available at the moment of its airing. Many non-Chinese speaking viewers are unfortunately not able to enjoy this fine drama.

For me, this drama is unexpectedly good. If you can understand Chinese, or able to find English subs, do watch it. It's a drama that would make you laugh because of the funny dialogues and human to human dynamics. The mystical supernatural phenomenon is intriguing, and most importantly, great acting and great story telling make this a must-watch drama.

Two thumbs up!

Changed EVERYTHING in the og novel.

Trash. Don't even bother watching this adapted version, and instead just read the original novel or webtoon. Its leagues better than what this movie is. It's insulting to the og readers seeing all the weird and uneeded changes the director made in this movie and it completely feels like a plagiarized version of ORV instead of an actual adaptation. They could've listened to the complaints and criticism online and make changes that were desperately needed but noooo, they insisted on making Sangah a healer, KDJ hating twsa (the novel that LITERALLY saved his life), YJH being a side character (which is so STUPID??), heewon being the mc instead which, again, she wasnt even an important character in the og, AND kdj is a bully in the movie??? That's honestly crazy disrespectful to his character and backstory.

Final review: Trash. They could've made this a standalone movie and it would've done well, but the fact is based off of ORV? It deserves the hate. And the only people that would watch and enjoy this are the fans of the actors... Don't watch.

Antihero and lying "rabbit" are wonderfully matched!

A vertically filmed micro drama (I rate these on their own sliding scale). General spoilers only. The actors are great, the plot is interesting, the script is good (even despite the mediocre translation where I watched it), and it's a tense yet fun watch. The dynamic between the lead characters is fascinating and well executed. It has a cat and mouse feel, except the FL actually holds a lot of power in the dynamic because of how the ML feels about her, and she purposefully lightly seduces him a few times. So, while the ML definitely has the air of a predator and the FL an air of prey, the role of the "cat" is sometimes a toss-up and can change multiple times in a scene. The two characters are very well matched in intellect, neither are all pure or evil, and they are obviously attracted to each other.

The lead actress (and editing) does a wonderful job showing the audience her true feelings while at the same time adjusting her outward appearance to best navigate or influence/manipulate the people around her depending on necessity and the situation. She seems meek and demure but is quietly smart and brave while pursuing her goals of saving her brother and getting revenge on the people who ordered their family to be murdered 3 years ago. She lies out of necessity (from her view, to protect herself and her brother), not because she's morally deficient.

The lead actor is perfect as the ruthless second son of a family that has always treated him abysmally. The way he can turn on a dime from a devil-may-care attitude to intense intimidation when interacting with everyone is fun to watch too. He can't help falling for the FL who is kind and brave with him, even though she keeps lying to him. It's easy to see in his micro facial expressions fairly early on that he wants to mean more to her. Later, he wants to be more than just a tool for revenge, but he's willing to be that tool if it keeps her by his side.

There are a few moments with high sexual tension and some kisses. Though the lips aren't shown during kisses, it was one of the rare productions where I didn't mind because those scenes and the chemistry still felt satisfying.

There are some of the typical tropes with vertical dramas but most are done well. The SFL was the only one I found annoying. She had no subtlety or nuance, either with the way the character was written, or the way it was acted. Her face kept making me think of an angry, crazily posessed goldfish, lol.

There's quite a bit of violence in this story, so you are forewarned. It includes whippings and beatings, a finger torture device, punches, stabbings, chokings, etc. Fake blood is used.

The ML does get physically aggressive with the FL (manhandling and choking), but to me it didn't have a sadistic drive to it as most of it usually happened after the ML uncovered one of her lies. It felt more born out of hurt, frustration, and a desire to possess. There are also some more tender moments between them, and the ML helps the FL quite a bit, which helped balance things out. The ML does have softer moments, but never becomes a total "puppy" in his expression of love, which I appreciated as that would have felt out of character.

General spoiler on the ending:
... ... ...
It is a tender happy ending. Though it's relatively short, it was still a satisfying scene to end on.
... ... ...

I will definitely rewatch at some point.

When it boils down to how much you can sacrifice for your people

Wow, wow personally having not found a cdrama that I have thoroughly enjoyed without skipping some parts this year... This has just been a surprise.
I really don't like stories with sad endings but there are usually expectations, and this...this was one of them

Love Ren Jialun in historical dramas, like under the power , one and only and now this!!! Aaah what a topping on the ice-cream 🤗.

The story was really well written, of course the slow burn romance was great but the mind games and twists and turns were well done... Of course there were some wth moments like the master ( one of the Yan sisters, not trying to see the picture even after Wei Zhao asked some really interesting stories.. but oh well, some people could be that stubborn.

The characters... Every one of them did their best! From main to supporting actors like the new young city lord, the personal guards of the two main characters Wei Zhao and shaojun, the eunuchs the maids the mother, the sister etc every one who got a chance at being shown did well love it... For someone to act and give rise to emotions even though it's just but a fictional story and to boot it's the whole cast... It's not easy so kudos... Cui ziming has really grown as an actor and I do believe he can grow more ...

Overall after being disappointed with most cdramas this year, this has actually saved it for me !!! Love it... Watch it guys .

Honestly i think the title doesn't somewhat match the drama.

The story line: I really liked the storyline they didn't focus too much on the side characters story and they stuck to the main plot of the drama. It did not drag what so ever. I know in some mystery dramas the story ends up being craggy and people start to lose interest but in this drama it doesn't. The directed and the writer does not go overboard with it. It was fast paced too, I didn't feel like the drama was fast towards the end I felt it went at the right place which was good because most dramas finishes the drama with a fast pace.
The storyline itself it nice and I also liked the side stories they were fun. As the main plot of the drama is kind of heavy the side stories makes you appeal more to it which is weird that I don't know how to even explain.
I would date the storyline: 9.0

Acting: Needless to say the acting was on point. Everyone did well the main cast, supporting cast etc. I really loved Song YoonAh. She's really amazing and I love her works. It was my first time seeing Kim So Yeon and she did an excellent job made her character live. Those two were the highlights but of course song Jae Rim and Kim Tae Woo did well to. Song Jae Rim is just so cute, really loved him in here and Kim Tae Woo did a good job as the villain in the story. I really hated him which means he did a good job. Wish to see them all in newer projects in the future. Acting was;10/10

I don't think there was anything I disliked apart from the title because once you watch it you will start to think about the title like "who is the secret mother" "what does the title mean by secret mother" it could have been titled with something better that suits the show more such as "mothers secrets" in which if you had watched the drama then you would understand what that would have meant.
This drama is underrated and it shouldn't have been. You would definitely enjoy this drama if you give your full attention/concentration. One of the 4/5th drama I have liked and enjoyed so far for 2018

Needs Work

I'm late to the party, though in this case isnt a bad thing.

Let me start by saying hazing is a fucking attrocious act and it should not ne treated as anything less.
The homophobia is something ill comment on later.

You can definitely tell this is an earlier BL drama due to how subject matter presented and how topics are poorly handled. Like how this show ia trying to make hazing seem like a trivial thing...i shit you not.

Three or more odd moments stick out were characters are like 'oh i met my wife' or 'it heloe appreciate...', 'and i made friends...'. that is just glossing over an act that is very problematic. Its not an after school event were people ocassionally get abused by others, its a problem and it is poorly handled, i cant helo but think the head writer was very disillusioned.

Now onto the homophobia...i dont know what its like im Thailand so i have to right to throw american homophobia into their culture, but the "i don't like men just Arhit..." ruined that moment when they openly admited they are dating. Yhis isnt the first bl to do this, but as high as it is rated youd think they set a golden standard and they go below what is stated.

It has no rewatch value. Its not even good fluff, the story is more "serious" with the hazing, but the lack of using the material to have a better story was completely wasted

Queen of Ambition is no joke. I really wanted to give it top scores, but there are some things that are missing. BTW...this has a lot of adult content, so I wouldn't recommend this for just anyone. Joo Da Hae is the epitome of evil. I understand that she goes through some major horrific moments when she is young, but wow... I really can't explain this story without spoilers. It has murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, twin switching, etc. Ha Ryu is so pitiful and sweet that it is hard not to fall in love with him. I enjoyed the ending. They took the time needed for the main characters before spending time on the side stories. I really appreciate writers that do that.

Ok. Now for the acting. I will tell you the bad first and why I couldn't give this drama higher scores. Soo Ae to me is just not the femme fatale that I thought was needed for that role. I get that she is supposed to be cold-hearted, and I did see her expressions change, but there just seemed like she was missing something. Honestly, I just don't think that she was pretty enough to ensnare all of the men that she did...especially since she was never sincere. Is that too superficial? I would think that Kim Tae Hee or Chae Jung Ahn would have been a better casting choice. They are prettier and their acting abilities are better.

On to the much better...Kwon Sang Woo was daebak as Ha Ryu. I felt so deeply for his character even when I was mad at him. There were times when I blamed him for what he was going through even as he blamed himself, then I would realize that he is just too kind-hearted. I also thought Yunho did well in his role as Do Hoon. I kept yelling at him to wake up and realize who Da Hae really was.

I also liked the other actors. I'm not much for extra characters, but all of these were needed to add to the story. I really liked Kim Sung Ryung as Do Kyung.

The music was good.

I probably won't rewatch this just because I already know what will happen.

It is full of angst and at times I was just yelling at the characters. If you like melodrama, then you will love this.

Edit: After watching Soo Ae on 1N2D Korean variety show, I realized that she seems to be a soft person and that may be why her role isn't really that believable. I give her props for trying something that seems to be completely out of her element and doing a passable job.
