So in love with this drama...i have already watched it twice and read the translated novel after that..but i'm still not satisfied. The gaming world, both the leads, their cute chemistry and undying love for each other, their amazing set of friends, everything is just so great..Have never loved a chinese drama so much..and Yang Yang ..oh yang yang you stole my heart with your cute smiles and subtle acting. He is Xiao Nai personified..so charismatic!! I'm so looking forward to all his other projects in the future.

The only thing negative i have to say about the drama is the female lead's kissing skills, which was kind of a turn-off.. But Yang Yang is definitely swoonworthy!

Overall, a must watch drama..because you just can't get enough.

Horrible movie!!

Really corny and cheesy. I do not find this funny at all.

I understand that this is Pia's first movie but she needs to work harder on her acting skills. Gerald has always been a good actor.

I do not see the romantic connection between the two. However, this is good to start pairing actors that are not connected at all.

It is refreshing to see actors being paired not because of a loveteam.

I don't want to spoil the ending but they should've cut it. It could have been a surprising ending.

Overall, horrible acting, storyline and ending.

It was so cute series!♡

This series was rly cute and funny but I did't hype so much for this. I think it's more people who are lil bit new in bl drama fans! But I would rewatch it still heh♡! THE STORY IN MY BRAINS: Professional writer named Gene tried writing different and new genre wich was BL. His writingwas so successful, so it gets adapted into BL drama. Gene was invited to see the actors so he could say wich was the best actor for the main role. All of them were bad until Nubsib came (Called "Sib" too). Sib get the main role but he doesn't have place to stay, so he is going to stay with Gene in Gene's house.

Contain violence, be smart for watching,, only suitable for some people, not too bad

be smart in watching,, containing scenes of violence, or partial justice,,
glorifies violence,, remember!! this all just a drama

violence reciprocate with violence

#story

honestly, I think this drama is quite boring and feels very slow until episode 11 also feels very slow to me,,its better ep 12-13, but slow again until ep 18 its getting better again, although there is a little comedy that is quite entertaining, but at first I felt too pushy comedy

the development of the story feels very absurd ,, Geumga tenant members who from nothing become good fighter or having a secret talent
,,,national intelligence assisting crime and escape,,,,the sudden relationship between the cast,,,

#plot

they explain how some of the events happened using flashback,, and of course it is better than there is not explained at all, which makes the incident unclear

the drawback is that they doesn't explain the entire flashback that is displayed and the timing is not clear when the flashback occurs (for reason read ep 17 below(contain spoiler) )

#cast

about the past of the cast is not too clear ,, Vincenzo ,, Jang Han Seok? how can he be so psychopath

1. and it seems that Vincenzo dentity is not completely explained,, they said that he is adopted and vincenzo say that he took revenge on the robber who killed his adoptive parents by torturing him for 2 years,, so mafia boss fabio not her adoptive father? And how could he join the mafia members?,,, and flashback about him shooting someone and there is a kid in the car ,who is it?

2. At first I felt the FL acting was a little too much, and then I persuaded myself that the cast characters should be like that, and if you look at that side, the acting not bad

3. Jang han seok,, At first I did feel something strange with him, but when found out that he was the real boss of Babel,, I find it so absurd to make such a twist,,, but his acting proves that she fits the role perfectly

###Question###

1. when they make a traps to destroying janghanseok? when lawyer hong picked up the phone from Vincenzo who told him the identity of BABO (BABELBOS)? before meeting jangjoongwoo or after meeting?

2. Ep 17,,when did AN agents know about the whereas of the guillotine file?from the flashback does not match with what is said by Vincenzo,,, because when the director of the intelligence agency joined the babel tower meeting, vincenzo was still in the secret chamber,,

and lawyer hong, you shouldn't know that the secret chamber belongs to wangshaolin(ep12) or it is where the guillotine file is located, because she still concludes "means the file is back to korea",,,, and mr nam and lawyer hong just found out that the file was in vincenzo's hands when they were betrayed by prosecutor jung

3. Why is there a blue rope on Inazagi's leg?

I think that this drama is unique in the sense that it shows the lives of all the characters, and to me, its more of showing people coming together to form a community, with extra focus on the leads, rather than everyone being there for the sole purpose o telling the stories of the main characters. So it is important to note before watching that there are quite a few scenes showing the lives of the people, which some may find boring, but I found it quite beautiful in the grand scheme of things. I liked the plot, and most of the loose ends were tied up, though I do wish they answered a few more questions, as the ending was quite open ended, but I suppose the open-ended ending suited the concept of the drama.

I really do want to give props to Lee Jae Wook for being an amazing scene stealer, as his character, Jang Woo, was definitely my favourite, and I found him very adorable as times, when he would start babbling if he were anxious or nervous.

After investing my time in this series this is how it end. So pit and babe and uncle and the next one get a happily ever after and you killed Way in the ending really. What kind of BS is that. I am sorry but that was unacceptable . I am sooooooo fireball speechless right now with that ending. I am happy that daddy was killed but why was everyone get redemption and build up the viewers like pete and way would get a happily ever after just to killed him in the fucking end????? madnes yes

Ummmm.....

This drama, in the first few episodes, was like a crazy good book you couldn't put down. Unlike everyone else in these reviews, I loved the light-heartedness and the slapstick comedy. Parts WERE overdone, but mostly it was funny to me. It kept me on my toes, with the injustices, and never knowing what he's going to do next.
The infamous moment in episode 17 where he made THAT choice was also shocking and appalling to me, but my love for the ML was too strong to be mad for too long. I LOVED to hate the villains. The twists and turns might be unappealing to some but not to me.
My biggest qualm with this show is the ending and how inconclusive it was. I was stuck googling if there was a season two because I still had so many questions. and that's why I rated it so low. otherwise the other things, for me, can be overlooked,

Ode to Shin Hye-sun

Mr. Queen is a historical, gender-bender comedy that is extremely fun and definitely binge-watchable.
I don't know the original works inspiring this one (both the webtoon and Chinese web series are known as "Go princess go") but I can tell that it functions well both as a parody (especially in the first episodes) and as a proper Korean historical drama.

The plot has the right amount of palace intrigue and power plays all experienced throughout the eyes of a 21st century man that effectively becomes the audience avatar.
His internal commentary is our commentary and, most of the time, it is hilarious.

Queen So-yong is the absolute protagonist of this drama and Shin Hye-sun rises to the challenge gloriously.
I've met her in Stranger and loved her character back then too.
She is versatile and talented with both perfect comedic timing and dramatic skills.
The romantic chemistry with Kim Jung-hyun (funny and sexy man whom I've absolutely loved in Eulachacha Waikiki and Crash Landing on You) is through the roof and they have steamy scenes that are going to make you laugh and blush at the same time. The supporting cast is solid (shoutout for Cha Chung-hwa and Jeon Bae-soo) although their characters are mostly just cartoonish comic relief.

The pacing is well sustained and it makes you forget eventual plot holes, however the gender-swap theme is the true weakness of this drama (and the main reason why my rating was lowered one full point).
Clearly Korean television deems the exploration of unconventional romance (namely a possibly gay relationship) as too controversial. Jang Bong-hwan's return to his reality was rushed, perhaps to avoid any consideration on said romance. Pity, because I was very curious to see how his emotional growth, resulting from experiencing the world in a woman's shoes, translated to a male, modern environment.

Female Empowerment Score 2/5: the only kickass girl in the series is possessed by a man. The evil queens are either petty or blinded by the fear of aging. The king's first love is an insecure liar who at least is able to redeem herself towards the end (and secure the second point on this score).

I understand why people might like it so much

It took me some time to finally give the show a chance. First, I didn’t like the original trailer when I watched it a while back (but it did do some things better than the actual show). Besides, I’d heard from people that don’t completely adore the series, that the last few episodes are not that great, and I agree.

What 2gether does right, in my opinion, is developing the relationship early on. We don’t have a enemies to lovers story nor someone trying to take advantage of the other person. And thankfully we don’t have a crazy ex doing insane stuff to break the main couple up. A positive aspect of the series is that the main couple doesn’t follow the basic recipe of opposite roles, usually with a dash of stereotype. We don’t have a delicate/strong or shy/popular typical main couple. The actors could be flipped and the show would run exactly the same. I like Bright and Win together on screen. I don’t particularly feel romantic chemistry, but I think it works well enough for the show. The slow burn romance also contributed to the feeling that they got more comfortable with each other as scene parters, while the characters get closer.

But after the slow burn and quite unproblematic first 2/3 is the show. I feel like the last 3/4 episodes belong to a diferente show. I don’t know if the writers didn’t know how to write happy moments or if they got rushed into completing the show. The “challenges” Tine and Wat face towards the end of the show come out of left field and kinda make the show be more unoriginal. The last batch of episodes is based on a few very common plot devices that don’t fit with the earlier moments. We get a love rival, an older brother that doesn’t approve the couple and a girl from the past that has feelings for one of the main guys. It’s a miracle we didn’t get the “someone is traveling to another country” cliche too.

Type is also part of my other big problem with the show, the side characters. None of the supporting characters have motivations or plots. Even the two side couples don’t get much development. We get introduced to the possibility of Type and Man early on, but nothing happens for quite some time. Then it’s all rushed in a couple of episodes. It’s just as forced as Mil and Phukong. The show obviously knows that people like Drake and Frank together. So, I feel like, they thought that people wouldn’t mind that they barely talk to each other and are together in the end. The story around their couple is the only thing I think the trailer we did better. In the original trailer we got a fight between them and Phukong confessing his feelings. That kind of turning point is missing in the actual show. Mil is trying to get together with Tine for 99% of the show and then suddenly he realizes he’s got feelings for Phukong because we needed them together in the ends, for the fans.

For a show so based on music, I feel like the songs are not all that incredible. But I like how it looks and sound like the actors are actually singing and playing on screen, and it’s not studio like perfect.

It could be better with more episodes

Alright, the journey of Step by Step comes to an end and honestly I'm left with mixed feelings, especially after watching the last episode.

At first, I was so into the story and unlike some people, I really loved the work aspect so it didn't bother me. I liked the slow paced but some scenes could be more developped, it's a pity. I think it seems quite common for the production of DeeHup House even though they bring a nice quality in term of filming, cinematography and colors.

I think, it was quite risky to adapted a very long novel (3 books!) into a serie with 12 eps and as I said, it could be better with a few more episodes so they might not rush things.
There is also, sometimes, problem with editing, I'm sorry, I'm not maybe the good person to talk about it but as a viewer, it makes me unsatisfied and it's sad because I really love the idea, the storytelling. I wish I could rate it higher but then.. Maybe I'm also a bit too generous.

For the acting side, it was alright but then Man Trisanu stood up the most as Boss Jeng. I really like his character but also how he portrayed him with his expressions and how he delivered the lines. I could rate thanks to him 10/10 for the acting but then, I have to think about others and Ben Bunyapol as Pat, since it's his first work, it was alright, not bad but I think it's also because of the writing of his character who is quite childish and has some insecurities due to several reasons.

I wasn't so much fond of the side couple Jaab and Jane/Jen but I felt bad for them. They deserved a better ending.

Nonetheless, despite some flaws, I kind of miss them and miss every Tuesday because it was my comfort serie, I shared, even though I was just a viewer, the feelings, moments and the part of these characters slice of life.

The soundtracks are catchy, easy to listen, I really love it.

And wish the best for all of them and looking forward to their respective works.

the story

i really liked this show and i always find myself rewatching it. i love it so much and i know some people might not like it, but it’s def one of my comfort shows. i feel like i always come running back to watch it. i like when i forget what happens and watch it again like it’s the first time.

The only problem is that i felt like when they would be in a good place in their relationship, it wouldn’t last 5 seconds, because someone would come out of no where and say that he did something rude and evil to them and that he did this for her by hurting others and i absolutely hated that. there was on time for them to for real show pure love to each other. they were always in some kind of fighting uncomfortable faze. don’t get me wrong i think they are a great couple, but i didn’t like how they always had something to fight about and Also the ending killed me. they didn’t even let us see them happy one more time?

I don’t think I’ll ever see a better kdrama so well done this year. I know that’s a lot to say but if you’ve seen any episode you’ll understand. I tend to be very picky and don’t tend to stray out of my comfort zone of romcom. However, I do not hesitate dropping a show when the writing starts to go downhill.
I’m so glad I took a chance on Suits and really made myself stick with it while it was airing. No, I have not seen the original nor will I probably plan to. Yes, I’ve seen the original first episode but the atmosphere in the Korean version got me hooked.
Everything about this is stylish. There’s nothing I hate heck even the sandwich truck. Nothing ever felt out of place for me. While I’ve never had an experience with attorneys or law firms everything seemed right. At the beginning I did feel lost very few times but got into the loop figuring out the system.
Moving on from that fact why I think I still understood it so well even without prior knowledge. Well the show does a really well job of saying its end goal and actually satisfyingly achieving it. Every episode starts off with a quote and that quote is always never shoehorned. Also, in general that’s why Suits worked so well to me the writing was a premium stuffed rabbit(ha ha ha I kid). Every single interaction had something to link towards where Suits would end. The whole writing was like a puzzel that knows it’s intent (probably due to the already existing original). But that doesn’t matter what matters is how well it did it. One example of this is with Go Yeon Woo’s grandmother. Typically a show would just have her for sympathy but nor Suits. She played a important part in how the last episode goes and where the protagonist see’s himself.
Thus leading to the topic of the acting from these characters. All I can say is well done they made the attorneys at Kang & Ham feel like an advengers team. They were just that amazing. Some characters did change throughout rightly so in the best ways. Overall really no complaints the actors/actresses felt real.
Lastly, the soundtrack and yes sir it was great. Even the short tracks I don’t know the names of. The main osts fit the moods at certain parts nicely. My favorite overall would have to be Now by Vromance. I can’t explain it but you know when something just feels like that’s what this show is. The beat just felt like it belonged with the roller coaster of troubles characters ran into.
Some of you might feel my passion for Suits through the screen but I think it’s well deserved. I haven’t written a lot of reviews in the past few years but I gladly finshed Suits at 4am. And I hope many of you will/did enjoy it as well. (I didn’t proof read this sorry)
