Tearjerking is an understatement.

I postponed watching this for a while, everyone was talking so highly of it that I was scared it was not gonna reach my expectations, but oh boy. It was totally the opposite.
This might be probably one of my favorites genres, but the fated trope didn't disappoint me.
I loved the speed it was going, the way emotions were portrayed, honestly a masterpiece.
I must say I'm sad we didn't get more of some side characters, but the two romances the story gives out are so well put, they made me cry more than once.
And honestly I didn't expect the happy ending, but I was so relieved.
This will probably end up taking a sweet spot in my heart cause it just got me so emotional.
The cast is amazing, they made me fall for each one of them. Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook and Yoo In-na made such a spectacular performance, their tears were my tears.

The ost was great, also there's not once I skipped the opening or the credit song cause they were SO good.

I'll probably rewatch it often cause it was just way too good to be forgotten.

Watch It for the Supporting Couple

I don't know why Xanxia dramas always need a second couple to take the attention away from main leads, but I guess it's necessary to make a longer drama. I was really disappointed with this drama, first off, because there is just no chemistry between the main leads. Dylan is such a bad actor in this. He just does not look like he was enjoying himself. The one scene where he actually looked alive was with young Liuyang in the Kunlun mountain arc. Zhu XuDan is a wonderful actress and I have loved her since TMOPB, which was a great part for her as she is capable of quite a range of characters. Although, I am glad that she gets a lead here, it just wasn't as well written a part for her. I don't particularly care for Mary Sue's or grown women acting like 4 year olds and, with the exception of the lady general arc, I was mostly disappointed.

This brings us to the secondary/supporting couple who are different as night and day to our main leads. Once again we have the serious guy opposite the flighty female. But, in contrast, they were better actors. Xue Qian Xun, brilliantly played by newcomer Deng Wei, may have been a cold fish, but he was ALIVE. The lights were definitely on in that pretty head of his and when QingQing was angry at him or sad about something, he was genuinely mortified. I loved watching their banter, the stolen glances, the loving looks. This was missing between our main leads, and that was the biggest shame. Because of this, they single-handedly stole the show from Dylan and XuDan. I looked forward to the episode that would finally reveal their story.

Some of the plot lines were annoyingly predictable. I felt like I was watching rehashes from previously better-written dramas. That kind of laziness is inexcusable.

The OST was the best part of this whole production. I could listen to it all day. It was perfect for the situations and gave scenes their appropriate weight. Background music was gorgeous, as was cinematography and costumes.

The ending was sad and disappointing. After all the reincarnations and tribulations I hoped for better for the main couple. If anyone can recommend better Xianxia dramas, please leave a post in the comments.

Before I even write this review, I'll just say one thing; if you're looking for a happy drama that's all sunshine and rainbows, this is not for you. Shiroi Haru is a painfully beautiful, bitter sweet story of a rough, misunderstood man entering the world after he is released from prison.

The twist in the story isn't too hard to figure out, but the story is more than enjoyable regardless. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but you'll be sure to enjoy every second of it.

I was immediately drawn into the story and characters, already rooting for Haruo within the first few minutes of the story. I actually cried pretty hard at the end, too, which makes this the first drama I have ever cried over. (though in my case, that's only because it really hit home with me)

I really wish I had a better way to word just how beautiful this drama is, but I hope you'll take my word for it and give it a try. It will forever leave a bittersweet impression in your mind and is without a doubt one of the best dramas out there.

No one ever said drama shows were reality and this is no exception. The plot is highly contrived. It is a rom com at its best. It is not the typical Cinderella story where a poor woman finds an arrogant rich guy and turns him sweet. Rather, the theme is that money doesn't buy you love and happiness.

Lynn Hung pretty much steals the show. She plays a gorgeous model who is out to net a wealthy tycoon. She is the discerning buyer who is out for the best deal. For sale is her beauty and charm and she can sweet talk her way into any man's heart. She is friendless: women hate her because of her beauty and success, men hate her because they can't keep her. She's off to a better conquest. The best parts are her manipulation of men. Her rejects are out for revenge. I never laughed so hard at her scheming.

Enter Vaness Wu as the poor, babbling, lovelorn guy whom she falls for. I would have liked him better without the punk rock hair, but he is romantic. Some of his rescue scenes are a bit slapstick with silly suspense music accompaniment. At times it seems the drama is a romance spoof with some of the silly melodrmatic scenes, especially at the end.

But even if you don't like the story, you will feel like you are watching a runway fashion show. In every scene Lynn Hung has a gorgeous wardrobe and unique hairdo. She is possibly the most beautiful actress out there. In real life she is a Chinese supermodel. I wish there were more shows with her devouring men. This watch was delicious!

Orange Juice Meet Cute

This has to be one of the sweetest fucking things I've ever seen.

This showed from start to finish the embarassing and exciting experience of finally talking to that person you're interested in and actually having them reciprocate. And all the missteps and moments of barely-mustered courage in between. From initiating a conversation and agonizing over what to say so much that you say very little, exchanging numbers, typing, deleting, and retyping the first text, to going on a date for the first time and making things official.

What a treasure these shy and real moments in a developing romance are.

Bless these two sweet, terribly awkward men.

That's it. That's all I had to say. NOW GO WATCH THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT'S GOOD, I PROMISE!

I would not have found this drama if it were not for Viki, and thank God for that! How is there no reviews on this yet!?

This drama was a treat, I went in knowing nothing about it and I ended up loving it. Short and sweet, this is worth the watch for any cutesy romantic fans out there such as myself. It is definitely a unique story, and has a very fairy tail type of theme to it, so it almost feels as if you're watching a Disney movie in some ways.

The reason for an 8.5 for acting is because it seemed to take a little bit for the actors to warm up, but towards they end they did a fantastic job. Minami-kun was a bit too stiff for me in the beginning, and although I'm sure that was because of his character roll, I feel like it could have been pulled off differently to where it didn't seem just like bad acting if you know what I mean.
Chiyomi did wonderful acting the whole way through, as well as the rest of the cast, I really got attached to all of the characters of the story. I would love to see her in more dramas in the future!

I dont normally rewatch dramas, but I would most certainly give this one another go, just because of it's short length, charm, and easy going story.

I most certainly recommend this drama!

1) The reason I watched this:

I have no idea, I just found this film in one of my collections while I had nothing better to do so I just watched it.

2) Storyline/Plot:

This was a multiple stories film, oe of the genres that I like to watch.

Positive points:

*A romatic comedy that had more interesting events than other films from the same genre.
*The three love stories were combined together in a way that would allow the final twist to happen.

Negative points:

*The film's story isn't unique or special. Actually, it was full of cliche and cheesy moments.
*The stories took a boring level at some point.

Story: 6/10

3) Acting/Cast:

*Lee Sun Gyun and Lee Min Ki were probably the main reason I continued watching this film until the end not only because of shallow feelings but their characters seemed more appealing than other characters in this film.
*The acting was a strength point that counts for this drama but I can't say the same about charachter because most of them felt annoying most of the time.

Cast: 6.5/10
Acting: 8/10

4)The ending:

An intresting twist accured near the end which made this film a little special than other romantic comedy films.

The ending: 8.5/10

5) My impression (How did affect me):

*There were a lot of boring moments but I didn't fell asleep so that's a good point.
*I only enjoyed the twist near the end but I will probably forget this film very soon.

My impression: 4.5/10

6) Overall:

*If you like romantic comedies then you may like this if you don't expect much from it.

Overall: 6/10.

A reason to fear death, a reason to live.

Before meeting each other, both leads have this thing in common: they couldn't dream about the future, getting ready to die was something they couldn't stop thinking about. Matsuri knew she wouldn't live more than 10 years, Kazu had 0 reasons to be alive.

After getting closer, their lives changed, Kazu realized life could be beautiful, his life that until this time was monochrome , finally became colorful, falling in love changed his mindset, and even after getting rejected by the girl he loved so much he couldnt step back, now even if she couldnt accept his feelings, Kazu found another reason to live, he wanted to stay by Matsuri side and help her pass through those hard times, he thought someday she would be cured.

But for Matsuri, it was painful, when she first heard about her ilness she couldn't cry, seeing her family crying made her feel like she needed to be stronger than everyone, so with the thoughts of "there's nothing i can do about it" she denied her feels, denied her pain. But everything changed when she experienced the feeling of falling in love, spending her last
years with the one she loved made her finally realize how much she would be missing when her death time comes.

Had lot of expectations from this project.

Watched all episodes . Not 5 episodes I really wouldn't watch it I don't know what they were thinking when writing it nor their was chemistry between couples . Just kissing passionately doesn't count Chemistry and mostly has open ending or sad.. like what is point of it? Santa acting was actually good .
I was like when will this episode get over till I reached epiaode 6 . EPISODE 6 & 7 made me wish they had long episodes so we can see more of both couples💕
If I re-watch I will go with project no 6 & 7.
VS LOVE : had good story also I love tandem between siblings more than love drama since it was added last minute. Acting wise I really wish peak and boom train more for roles they pretty much feel same from time I watched MIR pretty much same expression . They are good looking together but I don't feel chemistry at all. More like two friends doing bromance is what I always feel with them.
50%PUPPY LOVE : is actually enjoyable even though they don't go in details which is understood since it's only limited episode. But reminds me of my highschool life how when it feels to be different than others almost invisible but still have close friends. That first crush and doing silly things like peaking in classrooms , trying to get close to them , first time for everything feels you are not sure what to do and those awkward confessions it was on point . I loved beam friends . they were so funny doing silly things and beam being oddball in it . I LOVED how much importance they gave to FRIENDSHIP. How even after they fought they knew how much they miss and love each other.

As always PERTH acting is top notch he definitely shined his way in acting shy , introvert boy who is not brave enough to confess very different from characters he has played till now surprisingly I am impressed with FAIRY she acted actually well for new actress. PERTH and FAIRY was damn good you could feel tension between them . There was no SKINSHIP In entire episode yes no SKINSHIP yet you feel all fluff and cuteness and chemistry between them. LOVED mix and tor acting too these TWO were perfect side characters.

I will not be surprised if ppl don't watch it since it's straight love instead of bl since most of fans of studiowabisabi are bl fans and most perth being popular bl actor too . But I gave it chance since perth is expressive actor and he doesn't disappoint .GIVE IT CHANCE GUYS YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Goblin S2 anyone ^^?

Goblin is my all time favorite! Everything about this show is just pure unadulterated entertainment! Lets not forget the beautiful visuals that is Kim Go Eun and Gong Yoo! Amazing chemistry from beginning till end. Stellar cast, amazing storyline, melodious music that makes this one of a kind show. The concept is so outstanding you cant help but cheer for everyone. Character growth especially for main cast comes in at the right pace and stays with you. Not to include any spoliers but KGE can make you laugh and giggle but also make you cry like a baby. Im so glad Kim Eun-sook picked KGE and Gong Yoo for main leads.

Highly recommended

This drama is my introduction to the genre, which was probably a bad idea.
The first couple of drama's I watched after this one felt like I watched them to fill up the void that was left after Goblin ended.
The acting is great, I love how the romance is done, the story is interesting and unique and the OST is amazing. I am now a fan of all the main actors and when I see them in a different drama I keep thinking back to how great they where in Goblin.
I can definitely recommend this drama to anyone that is even slightly into fantasy.

Excellent Mesmerizing

Goblin was my first kdrama and I regret not a second I gave to this drama . Everything is so perfect and it's amazing ..this drama.made me fall hard for kdramas but nothing can beat my goblin n grim.

This drama is a must must must watch . If you haven't watched it , you are missing a big deal !

The acting and chemistry is par excellence. Everyone is a delight to our eyes ...

I have left not a single drama of Gong yoo after this drama ...and I have watched Goblin , God knows how many times ...I started this drama after my friend emotionally blackmailed me in watching a kdrama. I started this one for 5 minutes and man ..there was no going back since . I watched it in one day and night and then three times more lol 🤣 ...
It was 3 years ago but today I am.again watching it.

IS IT A MESS YES BUT IT'S MY MESS

Alot of people call out this drama beacuse of the toxic male lead but i for one think this drama was REFRESHING i had been in an endless slump watching the same type of man plastered across every single k drama the perfect understanding charismatic rich sensitive basically perfect boyfriend who is basically a god compared to u i think for me it was refreshing to see a k drama with a different type of male lead not just a photocopy put in a different body type format although i agreee he was extremely toxic and any girl should run away if they meet someone like him irl nobody can deny it was amazing to see a change a pace in the k drama world another honourable mention are the twins because they carried the backbone of which this drama was built on they completely devoured their roles i would say anyone should at least try and watch this drama with an unpredejuiced mindset

Going into this drama, I was alarmed by the plot summary but proceeded anyway and wow...It was so so insightful yet painful to watch the events happening to the protagonist. The relationship between the leads is unique and everyone can have their own say about the ethics of it but it's just...everything in this drama leaves the leads in such a unique position that what may be wrong can be right. That's all I can say, it definitely takes a toll on you emotionally and the psychological factor is big for the viewer here. Yet, I still would encourage everyone to try it out, see what you make of it....

A good Republican-Era drama focused more on investigative style.

Deep Lurk is yet another Republican-Era drama about Japanese, Communist, and the National Republic parties in the troubled times of the Japanese invasion of China in the late 30s and early 40s.

I typically don't like this genre, but this drama was well-made. Its plot focuses on investigation rather than the Japanese invasion, which Cdramas overly make.

There was little to no romance between the main CPs, but Cheng Yi and Ying Er acted well in this drama. They acted better in this drama, especially the emotional parts than in all the other dramas they were in.

It kept you guessing who the real Japanese spy was, but it was also predictable. The ending was not great. I was hoping that the main CP would get together and she would join the communist party with him, but it didn't show. It only shows him.

Synopsis: Set before the Battle of Changsha, this story is about unsung heroes during warfare and follows a man who learns to fight for a greater cause in his journey to find his father's killer. To occupy Changsha, the Japanese resort to using the 'black butler,' a strategic agent lurking in China for 15 years to carry out a long-planned deception. Yun Mu Zhi, a member of the underground party of the Communist Party of China, is killed while investigating the "black butler." Without knowing his father's true identity, his son Yun Hong Shen returns to their hometown of Changsha to track down his father's murderer. His father's friend and comrade reaches out to help him. Yun Hong Shen joins hands with Wen Ye Ming, a young woman impassioned by her sense of patriotism as they fight against innumerable odds. Setting aside his vendetta, Yun Hong Shen engages in a deadly game with Japanese agents to earn his countrymen a chance to win the war.

My Reviews:
1. Good acting from Cheng Yi and Ying Er.
2. The plot is good and keeps you guessing as Yun Hong Shen tries to discover who the real Japanese spy is and who killed his dad.
3. The main CP has little to no romance. It barely shows their romantic connection.
4. Overall, I enjoyed it and gave it a 7.5 rating.
