The Legend of Kitchen Soldier Episode 7

Lost some points because I’m not a fan of the bullying at the start of the episode, but it’s also where you learn why this bully character carries so much hate. The writer clearly wanted you to sympathize with them. It gets better in the second half as a food memory and taste help heal the bully's hateful heart.

Whoa, what a monster the Emperor has become! I cannot even imagine what is happening in that mind of his. That scene where he puts a knife in Yinlou’s hand and then stabs her cousin about twenty times while holding it… Even Eunuch Sun flinched with each stab and wanted to turn away. Anyone would be terrified of that. And even so, the Emperor sat in front of Xiao Duo, praising how beautiful the blood-red colour looked on Yinlou’s face. He’s a maniac! The actor must be doing a phenomenal job portraying such a terrifying character. The Emperor's transition from that gentle and shy lantern-maker into this possessive, controlling and terrifying man has been so smooth, step by step, episode by episode. At this point, I am not sure if it will get even worse or not.Princess Hede’s realization and confrontation with Xiao Duo about his and Yinlou’s relationship was actually a low-key relief to me. I know she is kind of against it because the Emperor is her brother, but she is not reporting them either and even helped out when Yinlou went to meet Xiao Duo, so I believe she’s a possible ally there... If not now, then maybe when she realizes what a monster her brother has become. The end part was so heartwarming. Yinlou needed to feel that safety in Xiao Duo’s embrace. She’s been through so much and she probably will be put through even more terrifying moments. She even looked like an emotionless shell at that Buddha ceremony for a moment. I feel for her… oh, my poor girl. At least the cousin survived and is now safe and far away thanks to Xiao Duo.

i actually reALLy enjoyed these final episode progressions ,I’ve hjad this problem with rinne feeling mis±directed & spanner feeling stagnant & it’s not all gone but their final focus episodes felt pretty serendipitous. i still think rinne struggles as her own character but her relationship with atropos was always really interesting. this again doesn’t negate the former but like it was cool. I’m styill really bothered we’re committing to this inexplainable henshin fatigue she has. spanner i did have some complaintd about how pigeon_holed he is to be the anti±chemy bad boy of the group but when you just hear them out it does start to makle sense. they did make something out of it. i did really like how valvard kurogane is more robotic in sound it feels like somepony who values human life over any other life is finally meeting lachesis & houtaro’s beliefs & walking their shoes. he honestly might be the best character of the three 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ houtarou had the more solid growth obviously but his was kind’ve the most disappointing finale. it’s mainly because he really does not have a good « why ?» in the sense that when his opponents mock his thinking whenever he wants to explain himself he doesn’t. we just have to take his values for wood & put up with that. & then him breaking through the perfect chemistry has no reason for it. like not even a second to hear his heart+beat or anything he just has to come out on top because he’s the kamen rider. it’s annoying & it trails into my major problem with the show & that’s that i think this could’ve been good if they just paced themselves better. it’s not a matter of them not having enough time it’s the fact that they wasted their time. they didn’t set their dominoes up correctly & that’s why they fell this way. i genuinely do think this could’ve been a great show they just didn’t know what was great or what was wrong & ended up picking . . . the wrong choices. a LOT. greyon is an example of this because we finally get to hear what he was thinking & truly him tricking atropos like he always intended to with this father act was perfect. he despises fuga’s optimism so fucking bad he goes this far but then he finishes this show just , ,, so. horribly & trite.

i am glad the bully aint a bully no more but that doesn't mean i like him as i don't like bullies. but other then that there was some hilarious moment that i literally laughed out loud. by the end i was worried Captin Lee who's got it in for Cho Ye Rin would make an appearance. but it was a storm & given the preview of course Kang Seong Jae wasn't hurt, but shockingly Hwang Seok Ho saved the day - or so i am guessing.

One of the strongest aspects of The Air is how it balances heart and tension. The emotional scenes genuinely hit, making it easy to connect with the characters and their struggles. At the same time, the suspense and action keep the story moving forward. And then there’s the chemistry between Freen and Becky, which continues to be magnetic. Every scene they share feels important, whether it’s filled with tenderness, tension, or unspoken emotions. Their connection is a huge part of what makes this series so compelling. Can’t wait to see Ep4. 👏🏻❤️

The biggest strength of Episode 1 is the instant connection between Lom (Freen) and Princess Blue (Becky). Their first meeting relies more on eye contact, subtle expressions and unspoken tension than dialogue, yet it immediately establishes emotional stakes. Critics and viewers consistently highlighted that even brief glances between them carry weight and create anticipation for the romance ahead. Their chemistry is the primary reason the episode feels compelling, noting that Freen & Becky can shift the energy of a scene simply through their interactions. This series so far has far exceeded my expectations.

The feeling so deep, eyes on barth and tanrak tells how empty their life. Ep 1 tells us how they life, how they grow

I love how The Air isn’t rushing things. It’s letting the emotions build naturally while keeping the story intense at the same time. Freen and Becky have such an engaging dynamic because even the smallest interactions feel important. Fans like me are definitely paying attention to every little detail 👀❤️

Oh, boy… if only Xiao Duo hadn't cared quite so much about Yinlou! She had such a perfect plan to trap Empress Rong'an, but instead, it got continuously interrupted by Xiao Duo’s men, bringing us a lot of comedy. To be fair, after all the heartbreak and tears we got in previous episodes, we really needed a more easy-going and comforting one, so I am very grateful for that! And even more so, in the end, she still managed to do what she wanted, treating us to even more laughs. However, I don’t think the answers she got helped that much, even if they did help in general. I know Xiao Duo now suspects Empress Rong'an of being his brother’s killer, but I don’t think she’s the one. Otherwise, how could her obsession with Xiao Duo be explained? Or… nah, I don’t think it is her.But what I do wonder about is—why didn't Xiao Duo check that entry journal at any point during those six years? Was it because he was just very focused on the Prince of Nianyang and checking this didn't cross his mind? But knowing how Xiao Duo's mind works, I think he would have checked EVERYTHING.Regardless, what worries me now is—was the blood from Yinlou’s mouth faked, or did she drink poison for real to distract the Emperor away from Xiao Duo?

My feelings after the finale of this wonderful journey are mixed. On one hand, I am very satisfied that Cheoljong could fulfil his lifelong dream and become a King of the people—a loved and respected leader. He also introduced a new system for how rulers are chosen, marking the first steps towards democracy and entirely changing how the history books described him. However, on the other hand, even though it's kind of a happy ending, it still leaves a very bittersweet feeling. Throughout the show, I loved following how Cheoljong fell in love with the chaotic, unpredictable version of So-yong—not her looks, but her personality! We also saw how this relationship with the King changed Bonghwan. I wouldn’t be lying if I said I think he actually loved him… maybe he wouldn’t have if he were in his own male body, who knows, but he was genuinely ready to accept staying in So-yong's body for the rest of his life. And that’s what makes me feel bitter. We followed the growth of their bond, only for it to be cut just like that. Now, they both must live their lives missing something—Cheoljong misses something he cannot really explain or put a name to, yet he feels the void, while Bonghwan misses an actual person he will remember for the rest of his life. And he might not even have a place to go and mourn him… When I think about it that way, it actually makes me extremely sad, not just bitter. But anyway, despite the bittersweet ending, I can still easily place this drama among my all-time favourites.

this just feels like a cut above the rest, among the BL's i am watching & i hope this doesn't go down hill as this progresses. the acting is good (for relative newbies) it's really good. Sun is really good looking & even though there was a lot of info thrown at us, i get the broad picture, but would love to see every plot developed. ************************************************************also took me a sec to recognize Fuaiz & then remembered how impressed i was with his acting in 4Minutes, he was the MVP in that BL & personally the only one i cared or was interested in - so i know he is gonna bring his A-game. **************************got so many questions & can't wait for more ep's to air so i can get the answers. this was good!

Cinematography, chemistry, make-up, and acting are perfect. Both Gemini and Fourth have proven once again that they can act. This time their characters are very different from their usual roles. I liked the build up of the story at the very beginning.

Nothing deep YET in this episode but the intro hooked me up to watch more. All the characters are introduced in the first episode so the progress in the next episode will be smooth. The main characters acting are top notch if you know them you will see how well they carry their respective characters in this drama. Looking forward to next episode.
