A good rom-com!
A great rom-com after AGES! This is what a rom-com drama should look like. I loved this drama throughout its length!It was a whole package. Comedy, romance, exaggeration, seriousness all wrapped into one. Man! After the recent short length trend of Kdramas has taken over, sitting through 16 episodes of just romance and comedy of a modern drama has become a bit hard. So I wouldn't say it's because the drama dragged, but I had to pull myself through a few episodes in the middle. But the Thailand trip in episode 10 had the drama going again. That was the best arc among any drama I have recently watched. It was fun and as a Thai drama fan myself, it really felt like two of my favorite worlds have collided. I saw Thailand through the eyes of a tourist for the first time 😂 Also liked the Arab prince arc too. The story also ended on a positive note and as many rom-coms, had a wedding. Ya, it was a good plot.
I would say there were plot problems in the second half though. One was when Ms. Gu asks Sangsik to steal Gu Won's professional and private info. They show the scene and then go off on a lot of other things without telling what happened. For quite sometime, he is not even in the story. The moments he does show up, the effect of making us feel doubtful wasn't good enough. And when the truth is revealed that he hasn't, the question remained as to who actually did leak and how. Another thing is, they left the Dream Team thing as it was. Yes, the pay is high. But the concept of the best employees becoming servants of the rich is just ridiculous. I thought they'd at least show that once Gu Won took over, he got rid of it, but no. The change of Ms. Gu also felt a bit rushed.
Lee Junho as Gu Won and Im Yoona as Cheon Sarang were did a good job. They played their roles really well and I loved how their story unfolded. I loved the pair. There is just something about Kdrama male leads in general - their consistency in relationships that just makes you, as a viewer, feel secure. No drama, no misunderstandings, no trust or loyalty issues. Just an anchoring belief that he is always on her side. Gu Won is yet another perfectly written man! Sarang is also not your damsel in distress. She's capable and resourceful. I loved how she quit her job and didn't settle for the so called dream position everyone loved. I love when female leads can stand on their on feet and lead their life the way they want, no matter how rich and loving the male lead is.
A big highlight of this drama is the friendship. Sarang, Daeul(Kim Gaeun) and Pyeonghwa(Go Wonhee) - wonderful example that trios work. Gu Won and Sangsik's(Ahn Seha) friendship was hilarious too. Together with Rowoon(Kim Jaewon), the entire 6 sibling thing was both heartwarming and comical! I really loved Kim Yeongok as Grandma too. God! That was soo heartwarming too. I loved her character soo much 🥹🥹 She did a wonderful job!
So ya, it was a good drama of its kind and worth the watch. I dropped it once becuase life got busy but I'm grateful I came back. Wouldn't rewatch it; too long and nothing too special that makes you want to come back. Just the typical genre and story done well. In a nutshell, this is a drama with a good story, few plot holes and memorable, loveable characters!

Excellent beginning, horrible ending!
The show started strong, interesting, visually thrilling and attractive ... but the writer failed to keep up with the speed and the logic of the story somewhere in the middle of the show.As the characters moved to YJ and settled down, everything got lost, even FL's hairstyle!
I loved Duan Woo, but Su Mu Je lost my interest and love untill a few ending episodes when KJ brought a badly injured YZJ to The Clear Mind.
We saw very little of the male leads in the second half of the show as the focus moved towards a businesswoman's world.
I liked both male leads very much all thought the show.
I wished for that nasty Chui girl who cared nothing about drowning all the little boats in front of her big ship to be punished severely and lose everything at the end. Seeing her safe and sound and rich and a friend to SMJ at the end made me hate her even more.
And that horrible ambiguous ending ... why do writers think that if they leave characters in an abyss they become professionals?
An open ambiguous ending only shows an indecisive weak frightened writer who doesn't dare write a proper ending and fears giving their characters a full life.
I watched this to find a new version of Hao Do/Leyan couple whom i adored in The Long Ballad but the ending killed all my joy.
Still I'd rewatch this for YZJ and DW.

Epitome of youth
The cinematography and colour grading in this series is really beautiful. The story is really wholesome and covers the struggles of growing up and of course the experience of first love. I’m always smiling so much when I watch this series and it’s so wholesome. The friendships and relationship feel so natural and I love the chemistry between ko neung and ko song. I found myself really invested in this series and I really adore all the characters. I really could rewatch this multiple times whenever I need something to lift my mood. The perfect fairytale till it wasn't
Rating: A decent passive watch, but deeply flawed.The Pros:
It’s a cool, casual watch to pass the time. Great for a long road trip or to watch with teenage siblings.
The core concept has a nice Love Game in Eastern Fantasy vibe (Tree of Life connection / Defender dynamic).
The Rushed Climax & Missing Scenes:
This two-year-old drama felt heavily cut short near the climax. We completely missed out on the wedding, the reunion with their master, and lore and updates on the acquaintances of their master who saved them. Why did FL lose her spirit power? Why did they live in seclusion for 10 YEARS? Any kids? lol what's tea
The villains' wrap-up was completely glossed over after the corrupt leader died.
We missed emotional depth, like the return to the Central Plains island, the exploration of the male lead's clan, and the remnants of the female lead's clan with her flying spirits.
Production & Plot Critiques:
The Music & Sets: The random rock music was incredibly jarring and ruined the immersion. Compared to the rich world-building of xianxia/wuxia dramas from 2018–2021, the sets and editing fell flat.
Abandoned Plots: The male lead's initial assassin/brother storyline became totally obsolete; which initially kept me watching btw.. The show got lost in the "past lives" lore, even though the script insisted the characters had changed. Yes we know you're not Yecha, yes we know you said you're not the past "evil" Tree of Life even though we later found out that FL +ML weren't the aggressors in the past life.
Romance & Casting: There was only one kiss! The tone was so teenager-friendly that the young lead from Keys to the Phoenix Heart would have been a better fit for this drama, put her with Lanya crazy ass!!!

a masterpiece.
just finished watching this series and I am speechless. I don't know how to actually describe it but it was a masterpiece. the storyline,the plot ,the theme,the atmosphere and the cast, everything was perfect.I hope they make a season two because it only left me hungry.

More than a sports drama: A journey of healing, hope and found family
This is an easy 10 for me because it checks almost every box I'm looking for in a drama:✅ A story that isn't romance-centric
✅ Subplots that are just as engaging as the main story and never feel like filler
✅ Mature leads who communicate and don't let unnecessary misunderstandings get in the way
✅ A found family that made me want to adopt all of them.
✅ Characters with meaningful growth and touching backstories (made me cry with every episode)
✅ The perfect blend of humor, healing, friendship, sports and romance.
✅ A slow-burn romance that complements the story
✅ Great performances from both the main and supporting cast.
✅ A drama that stays with you long after you've finished watching it and leaves you with so much to reflect on.
It actually reminds me of sports anime. You know how right before a game-winning shot, the scene pauses to show an emotional flashback? This drama does something similar but it never feels overdramatic or cringy. Instead, it blends seamlessly to the story.
Like I've mentioned before in the discussions, this drama is such a gem and has easily earned a place among my favorites. All the characters have become so dear to me. I've lost count of how many times their stories made me cry. This drama hurts, heals and is so wonderfully written.
This drama healed something in me that I never even knew was broken. It's the kind of story that leaves a space in your heart, not a hollow one, but one filled with warmth and comfort 🤍

Don't waste your time, don't be misled by overrated ratings driven by a handsome male lead.
The first four episodes are almost entirely unnecessary. They could have easily been condensed into a single episode without losing anything important. If you're planning to watch this drama, you can safely skip Episodes 1–4 and miss almost nothing of value.More broadly, the first 10 episodes feel bloated with filler and repetitive conflicts that go in circles instead of moving the plot forward. The pacing is painfully slow, and much of the runtime feels like a complete waste of time. Even in the middle of the series, the drama throws in several completely unnecessary episodes that add nothing to the story. They exist solely to pad the runtime and artificially extend the drama, making the overall experience feel even more dragged out.
For a drama starring such well-known actors, the CGI is surprisingly poor and often distracting rather than immersive. It's well below the level you'd expect from a production with this kind of cast.
The biggest issue, is the overwhelming amount of filler. Many scenes contribute little to either the plot or character development, making the viewing experience feel far longer than it needs to be. I ended up watching at 2× speed and frequently skipping scenes because so much of the runtime felt unnecessary. Rather than building suspense or emotional investment, the sluggish pacing made the drama genuinely boring, I even found myself struggling to stay awake.
Another aspect that frustrated me was the romance. The female lead doesn't seem to deserve the male lead's unwavering devotion because she never truly moves on from her previous crush (It goes up to 30 episodes—that's absolutely insane.). Even when the story expects viewers to root for their relationship, she's still emotionally tied to the past. After the male lead finally confesses his feelings, she continues to hesitate and leaves him hanging instead of giving him a clear answer. She seems content to let him keep chasing her without committing to a relationship, all while still being unable to move on from her old crush. To make matters worse, whenever the male lead makes even a small mistake, the female lead immediately gets upset and gives him the cold shoulder. Yet she never seems to reflect on how hurtful her own actions are. She expects understanding from him while she herself is still emotionally attached to her former crush, even looking visibly heartbroken whenever she sees him. The double standard is hard to ignore and makes her behavior incredibly frustrating.
At the same time, the male lead's refusal to be straightforward only drags the conflict out even further. Instead of clearly telling her what happened in the past, he remains vague, allowing the misunderstanding to continue for far longer than 24 episode's.

I was actually shocked to know that it's a Chinese bl based on omegaverse.Damn i was screaming at my tv trying to tell Mr Sheng the truth that he's not seeing🤣🤣
Eliot did such a good job in portraying different type of demeanor, sometimes changing his demeanor instantly.

Interesting
I’d say the storyline was a really interesting blend of mystery and horror. I genuinely couldn’t predict many of the plot twists that unfold, which is rare for me since a lot of shows tend to follow familiar patterns. The acting was strong, and the two main leads had great chemistry—they delivered their characters’ emotions convincingly.Overall, I think this was a very solid show and definitely worth watching. In fact, I’m really hoping Netflix decides to make a second season.

Eu tava super animada com essa serie por causa dos tutoryim e o primeiro ep foi mt interessante, mas tudo foi caminhando pra um roteiro que nao tem ponto, qual é o plot dessa serie? tudo parece ser só jogado lá sem nenhum intuito.Os personagens me irritaram pq eles nao conseguem ter UMA conversa, eu sei q é de comedia mas pqp voces nao conseguem falar uma vez sequer sem fazer uma birrinha chata de ciúmes ou algo do tipo.
Eu sei q ah eles tao montando o bar juntos e se apaixonam dps do eng ter aquela decepção amorosa e tals mas tipo ??? e ai ??? apesar de nao ter cenas mt explícitas eles focam muito no sexo e nao é muito meu estilo de bl mas ok, so nao entendo oq a serie é sobre de verdade.
Falando sobre o ep do incendio, parece mais uma historia jogada onde o atual do ex do erng vem pra causa algum conflito pq eles nao tem conflitos reais ja que tudo parece uma brincadeira e todos os mal entendidos sao birras chatas.
Enfim decepcionou tava louca pra acabar e pulei muitas cenas.
obs: outra coisa que me irritou muito eles ficarem se chamando de marido e esposa, vsf é historia de 2 homens odeio quando eles fazem isso.

The right person won’t ask you to hide what makes you happy 📸It’s so refreshing to watch a K-drama from the late 2010s. It’s so vibrant and colorful. Even the night scenes are bright and saturated. It’s complete eye candy, and it vaguely reminds me of the color grading in Fight for My Way.
My friend and I decided to watch another series starring Kim Jae-wook because she really likes him. His role here is still that of a corporate guy, just like in Filing for Love, but this time he’s the main lead alongside Park Min-young.
Anyway, this K-drama as a whole revolves around acceptance, whether in friendships, relationships, or family. There were so many heartfelt moments, especially those involving both leads’ families.
At first, I was a bit uncomfortable with the female lead’s relationship with her friend-turned-brother since they lived in the same house. Thankfully, everything was eventually explained and resolved because it was starting to feel a little weird.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable K-drama. There were so many classic K-drama tropes. It felt like the director wanted to include every single one. 😂 I also loved the dream and imagination sequences. They were absolutely hilarious!

Does it pick up at all?
I finally got around to starting this one and I feel like I've been watching it for days, but come to find out I'm only on episode 4. I got really confused so many times in the first few episodes with the time line jumping back and forth the way it did. I really love FortPete, but this one is hard for me to watch. Not that their acting isn't good, because it's truly everything I've come to expect from them. I really think it's just the screenwriting that keeps the pace so slow I feel like I need a nap to get through each episode. I want to love this, and I'm really trying to. I'll keep watching it, but I'll probably take a little break first and watch something else.Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing overall —but confusing politics
Finally caved in and started watching this to understand what's the hype is all about. These are what stood out to me the most overall.In the beginning of the drama, it was a good introduction to Changyu's background and her personality as a 19 year old girl, surviving based off butchering pigs for herself and her sister Changning.
The first half of the drama has my heart. It was so wholesome and intriguing which made me curious to see more of the FL and ML. As Yan Zheng and Changyu became closer, emotions and love began to blossom without them realising.
Then the angst era came. When Yan Zheng has to leave, still hiding his identity, he could not deny his feelings for her. And honestly, props to Changyu for slapping him after that uninvited kiss. At this point, while I understand Yan Zheng's reasons, Changyu's feelings and reactions are valid too. He was leaving yet he kissed her. One thing I liked about this drama was that Yan Zheng later apologised for the kiss later on in the story.
Changyu's decision to enter the army to find him showed how strong her feelings was for Yan Zheng, even if she had not explicitly said it. The angst hit again when Changyu found out his identity.
I have to admit, the angst was really well written and executed in the drama. It did not felt draggy to the point as an audience you feel frustrated. In this drama, the angst was necessary for character and relationship development between each other.
This brings me to the pacing of the story. I had never once felt that it was too rushed or draggy. It was paced perfectly. As the romance and story unfolds, the romance part was perfect. The actions, OST and the acting of both ML and FL was amazing.
The only thing that I wished could've been better was when the drama began to introduce the political issues. It was confusing as I could not identify the main problem or what and why are the different villains acting in such manner. I could not differentiate which characters are from which clan in the beginning.
As the story continues to unfold, I could only then started to have an 'Aha!' moment, finally figuring out piece by piece.
Cinematography wise, everything was so beautifully filmed. The fight scenes was executed perfectly, and it was really cool to see Changyu in action as someon who loves a strong FL.
The ending was good, but has some loopholes. It highlights the possibility of Qian Qian being a time traveller, and was she the reason that everyone who had died in Lin'an to be alive again? Did she went back in time to prevent the massacre from happening?
The end credits was a nice touch. It was wholesome to see how things would've turned out in another life.
Overall, I enjoyed this drama. The plot, action and romance was well done. However, the political side and the explanation of the ending could've been better. I'd recommend watching this drama!

Interesting mystery cases with a subtle but sizzling romance
Subjective Gut Rating: 8.25“You Have My Heart” is an under the radar mini drama. Well, it has no big stars and the budget isn’t big. In a sea of period/xianxia/wuxia dramas out there, rarely anyone pays attention to it. Thanks to a fellow MDLer, this is on my radar.
To me, this drama’s strength is the individual mystery and crime investigation cases. I find these cases creative and engaging. They are not episodic nor do they drag on forever. A few short episodes and everything is resolved. I enjoy seeing ML and FL using their own unique ways to crack these mysteries, both independently and collaboratively.
The acting is also pretty good. Not only are the leads delivering a good performance, the no-name supporting cast and guest roles did a pretty good job, especially for a low budget mini drama. I’ve always liked Zhu Zheng Ting (and he’s the main reason I am checking out this drama) and find his eyes very expressive and mesmerizing. His dual roles are distinguishable and memorable. Hankiz Oman is so gorgeous that I can’t stop looking at her. Her character is a little ‘cool’ so she’s not as expressive. She might not be the best out there to play this kind of role, but she did a fine job. She keeps that air of cool and elegance very well.
The romance is subtle but sizzling. Romance is not the main plot, but Zhu Zheng Ting and Hankis Omar have great chemistry. They are visually stunning, even when not layered with expensive high-budget costumes. I am totally fine with the slow burn romance, and love the few sexy flirtatious words here and there. I could use a little more kisses. The kisses are fine but staged, and definitely could be better. I also wish I could see more loving and coupley scenes in the end though.
My main criticism of the drama is how the small mystery cases intersect with each other and integrate into the bigger villain story. I feel that the conclusion of the villain’s arc could have been better. His defeat seems too easy, even if the moral of the story is not all about his evil acts but why and how he’s fed such power. The last few episodes, though not horrible, are also the weakest.
I would definitely recommend this drama for those who are looking for a fantasy mystery drama that’s not too long. With only 22 episodes and 20 minutes each, this is a great quick binge and an introduction to this genre for new viewers. The low budget production does NOT look cheap at all. In fact, it looks better than some other big name productions.
