Season 2 of Weapon & Soul finally moved pass the juvenile theme of engaging in battles to improve one's ranking (fighting ability?) and delved more into the mythology of how human lives were sacrificed (mostly innocent virgin girls) to create weapons in the ancient time and how it has bearing in the present time. The show expanded the mythos to not only allow Qi Ling (weapons with souls) to choose their spirit agent/owner and materialize into human form to engage in battles, their destructive power now has the potential to increase exponentially if they and their agent can become one  (it is one of the most enduring theme in every wuxia novel: to become one with your weapon...) The path to 100% compatibility is fraught with many obstacles, such as  personality, temperament, family history... Number one on the list is:  "To never make a lover out of your Qi Ling." When an agent and his Qi  Ling truly understand and able to relate to one another, they become  battle soulmates.  That deep, intense bond between them can,  sometimes, cross the line into romantic love, which is a big no-no  because their love actually makes them incompatible fighting partners. That delicate balance between soulmates and lovers makes Mo Ming and Yan Qiang Chong Li's relationship whole lot more interesting to watch than in Season 1. We can see the growing attraction between them and we want them to be together. But at the same time, we are aware of the stakes involved and that they shouldn't be together because they need to improve their compatibility to fight the evil big boss.

This season also introduced a government agency with the sole  mission of protecting the public against Qi Ling. We know from Season 1 that Qi Ling can accidentally hurt its owner, to say nothing of bystanders who stand too close to the action. As the spirit agent of one of the most dangerous Qi Ling in history, as well as, a victim of her backlash, Mo Ming has first hand  experience on the catastrophe Qi Ling can unwittingly cause. While he agrees that they should be contained, he balks at the idea of destroying them. To him, Qi Ling are innocent human souls trapped in weapons by powerful men who greedily wanted more power, and destroying Qi Ling is akin to killing them again. He will never do that to Chong Li. Then he faces a moral dilemma. To repair Chong Li's injury, he must find the lost scroll of Qi Ling, which gives instruction on creating, repairing and destroying Qi Ling. But finding it would mean that the government will have the necessary tool to destroy them.  And Jiu Qing, the "evil" spirit agent group would have the means to create new ones (more human sacrifice). While he hasn't struggle too much with this decision, it does pose an interesting question, is he selfish for wanting to repair Chong Li at the expense of everyone else? Would we make the same choice if we were in his shoes?

The special effect is great. I can watch Qi Ling turning back to weapons on loop. The coolest transformation is Ming Chui Ling Xi to an awe-inspiring hammer. Yan Qiang Chong Li's is alright too. Her transformation is most impressive when she materializes right into Mo Ming's hand as a spear.

No awkward acting in this drama, at least not by the main characters.  The scene where Feng Mu Ning Yu looked back for the last time and imagined Mo Ming coming to her was absolutely heartbreaking. I see in her smile the sadness and the resolve of what she was about to do.  And my heart just goes out to her.

OMG. this series is currently on DramaFever, and it's is good.

First Impression (judging from cast/drama cover): I thought the cast would be too old to make this drama interesting. BOY, was I wrong!

Final Impression: I love this drama. I like the acting from our leads. I love the smaller plot lines. I watch a lot of historical dramas, and this one was pretty accurate from my research. I love the themes they introduce into this drama, some we've never seen before especially that dives into the lives of maids and eunuchs. Usually, I like to steer away from those dramas because eunuchs are always depicted as the old, creepy, scary, and manipulative guy (there's one of those in here though). But this one introduces brotherhood, love, loyalty, and friendship between our eunuch friends.

Story: This is based around the lives of famous Eunuch Li Ling Ying (Wayne Lai), and his friends and his relationship w/ Empress Dowager Cixi. They go through many "arcs" in here (I won't spoil it) but it's very accurate to history. As mentioned, I love that they introduce that eunuchs can take wives in here. There are three storylines involving our Eunuch friends that you can't help but to watch and "ship" the eunuchs with their respective lovers.

Acting/Cast: Was superb for all our leads and guests. Although I do not speak Cantonese, I can't judge if their speaking is great, but I really felt the emotion. Michelle Yim is a great Cixi and has such a stern, resting bitch face. I legit HATED her throughout the drama, but at the end I realized she wasn't THAT evil. Lol. I love Power Chan in here, he was a hateful character, but turned good and I just loved him from beginning to end. He and Wayne Lai are perfect buddies in this drama. I also loved Raymond Choi as An De Hai, Li Ying's bestie/bro. His character had a lot of development, and at times you're unsure of what side of the fence he is on. But that's what made this series so great, the character development and the outcome.

Overall, I'd watch this again and I'd suggest this for anyone looking for a historically accurate drama, with HK drama written into it.

This is a wonderful web drama! The cast is great and the storyline was also. I would love to see a season 2 and more on the past of the lead actress's character's  past to see how and why  she come to be immortal and the second lead actor's character's past, although he kinda bugged me with his way of flirting. I also would like to know how long she had her pet turtle. The music and songs were fantastic! I will watch it again for sure!!  Watch it and I promise you won't regret it!

I didn't know I would love this drama so much that I end up watching all night just to finish this in one sitting.
I fell for Yoo Seung Ho. He's such an amazing actor. I've only seen him in Missing You and I hated him a lot on that drama.  I wish to see him more and I am excited about his new project with Kim So Hyun.
There's nothing unlikable about this drama. I cried a lot and laugh a lot. I just soooo love this. I want to have more. I just don't want it to end. It's been a long time since I've felt like this after finishing a drama. I want part 2 T.T!!!!!!!

Kim Bum.
If every man were like he was in this drama.
The world would have overpopulated with babies a million years ago.

SRSLY the THINGS he does for his WOMAN. Its glorious. Its original. Its heart warming and laughter filling.
You read that right. I said things plural. There are lots of them. Also notice I said ORIGINAL. I have never seen/heard/read ANYTHING like this before. 100% originality, ESPeCIALlY in the romance department.
(I have several listed in my head without even thinking about it [DM me if you wanna know/talk about it], but ever since watching this drama, I have had the most unrealistic expectations when it comes to guys, you have been warned)

Take my advice, and go into this without knowing anything else.
Maybe lower your expectations a bit for the overall plot, but you'll probably get along really well with the hilarious antics of the side characters and their romances and friendships.  However, if you're looking for a really cute romance between leads, PICK THIS ONEEEEEEEEEEE PLeSSSSSSSSS

This is one of the cutest, fluffiest teen dramas there are! I was introduced to the world of drama through this one and I don't regret it one bit. The story isn't anything original and the love triangle could be detected from miles away but it was very good in its own way. A simple high school drama and at that point, it was what I needed to get started.

STORY
I really loved the fantasy elements of this one and they gave a fresh, interesting twist to an otherwise boring plot. There was a great story to be told and I think they did very well with the execution, even though some parts of it were totally obvious. There were 20 episodes and I was hooked until episode 14, it went sort of boring and predictable after that, and the drama was getting too much.

CHARACTERS
Lee Seul Bi was so adorable for a girl her age and I loved the way she spoke. She was so affectionate and kind and when she first came into the human world, she was so clueless and found everything so fascinating. Plus, her love for dramas makes us all relate. She didn't seem childish at all and handled the role quite maturely for her tender age (she was 13 when the drama wrapped up). The two male leads were also well done as well. One was moody, one was chirpy and sort of "dominant". The typical love triangle you would expect, pretty much.

MUSIC
I love the soundtrack so much. When I started this drama, I'd never heard any Korean songs and it made me seriously consider starting!

REWATCH VALUE
I never re-watch things, but I sort of miss watching this one so I might begin it again in the future.. Who knows?

I truly recommend this drama and hope to discuss it with any of you that wish to!

The Story/Theme
I loved it, it's really realistic and at the beginning its a fresh youth romance without big problems, but its getting deeper with daily problems after a few episodes, when they are grown up.
I have heard from many people that its confusing to them, because of the time switches, but i don´t think so, because I think you can clearly see the difference in the past/when they were younger it´s more bright colors and a very fresh/happy theme and on the other hand in present/when they are grown up it´s much darker/more mature, so there shouldn't be a big problem. To the overall story: In my opinion its a really beautiful story, if you are getting into it. It has funny scenes, some really sad scenes(I think I cried two times), but also some scenes that gets you kind of angry BUT only when you are really feeling the drama (and I was).

Characters
The male lead is at the beginning a character you are most likely tho love, but when they got older you are going slowly liking him less.
The clothes the female lead is wearing is sooo pretty, she is also very kind to everyone and tries not to bother the other characters with her problems.
I liked the second female lead the most, because she was in my opinion the funniest funny.
The second male lead/boyfriend of the second lead was SOOO nice, he always does some kind things without the other one knowing it and he doesn't mention it.
And the third couple is the most easygoing relationship because the male character is a very easy and kind of childish character and the female character is someone who doesn't talk about her problems (but that is going to be a little problem later).

Music
The music was beautiful, I really liked the song "where the love is". It fits with the drama perfectly!

Acting
They aren't the biggest actors but I think every actor/actress fits their character like it's made for them.

So overall I really liked it and I think its worth  and I also really recommend to watch it.

Sooo much better than BOF. Events happened quicker, Jae Kyung's equivalent was less irritating, less prominent, and ended up giving Makino to Domyoji sooner. I liked the T.O.J contest more than the spontaneous island trip, and Okami-son better than the owner of the porridge restaurant. Okami amuses me with the man men she's loved.
Akira and Okami are cute, and I like that Akira has a larger part than Song Woo Bin.
Domyoji is much better than Gu Jun Pyo, for me. He is more respectful of Makino and her bounderies, and doesn't force her to be with him like Jun Pyo does. Even when he calls her his girlfriend, he later told her that he only said that to get Rui off his back, and that he was aware she hadn't given him a reply yet. He is also more mature  than Jun Pyo. Jun Pyo always seemed a little ridiculous adn over the top to me, and I never loved him as a character; I was more interested in his dynamic with Jan Di. But I like Domyoji as a character, as well as his dynamic with Makino. As for Rui,  I like him more than Ji Hoo.  He is more supportive of Makino and Domyoji's relationship and Makino's crush on him didn't last long so there isn't too much of a love triangle. Also, the Saturn necklace is better than the moon and star because the moon and star always seemed a bit rude to me like, yeah you can't leave me. Like, um, a little intimidating there. But the saturn necklace is gorgeous and more meaningful, they're both from Saturn. Also, I like Makino's declaration of love much more.
So Hana Yori Dango?
I'm loving it.
(Boys Over Flowers fans: This is my personal opinion! Feel free to prefer BOF! Everyone has their own taste and both shows are good and valid! :) )

Mad Dog is one of the dramas which doesn‘t focus on romance but friendship and revenge. And I like it even though I love romance dramas. But sometimes there are other things which are more important. And honestly, this drama wouldn‘t have suit a big romance, so I was very satified with what we got.

Story: Mad Dog is about a small group made of people who want to take down people who commit insurance fraud. The theme is different from most of the crime and investigation dramas I have seen so far and this gave me one big reason to watch. The other reason was the Cast but I want to talk about the story first. Some people said the story was slow, but in my opnion it was the right rate. Many Korean dramas are very fast forward these days and I don‘t like it. The more the story developed the more the viewer got to know about the characters and their past especially the main characters.

Cast: Seriously I need only one word to describe the Cast: Amazing! Yes all of the main characters were amazing in their roles. The Acting, the feelings...There isn‘t anything I want to complain. But I want to write about the main Characters who got my attention.
First of All, Yoo Jitae. I watched him in Healer and I liked his Acting very much back then. His role was the Leader of the group „Mad Dog“ and an Ex-Cop. He has a personal reason for the work as the leader of „Mad Dog“ and if you know which reason you will love him even more. He seems nice to his friends, but if he doesn‘t like someone the person knows it...or he/she will. Yoo Jitae acted very well. His emotions were heartbreaking and I understand him and his reasons very much.
The next Actor I was amazed by was Woo Doohwan. Like Yang Sejong he is a rookie Actor but if you don‘t know that fact you wouldn‘t think a litttle bit about it. Mad Dog was my first drama, because I didn‘t want to watch Save me when I only have time in the evening. In Mad Dog he plays Kim Minjoon. He is mysterious and seems to be very cold but he has a warm heart. He is very lonely and has a reason for his actions. Woo Doohwan plays excellent. I cried with him and I laughed with him and this means very much.
Now I want to write about the only Female „Mad Dog“ Member. Ryu Hwayoung plays a young woman who worked with Yoo Jitaes character before. She seems a little bit arrogant, but she is hurt and she understands people who are hurt very good. Maybe Hwayoungs personality isn‘t very likable but she is an excellent actress, no doubt.
The Love-Hate relationship between Ryu Hwayoung and Woo Dohwan is another Reason why I loved the Drama. The two of the should do a romantic melodrama together (but Doohwan acts opposite Rvs Joy-.-). Another Reason to watch this drama is the Bromance between Yoo Jitae and Woo Doohwan. The two of them have a very good chemistrya together.
The other two Mad Dog Members, played byJo Jaeyoon and Kim Hyesung, were very good, too. Also Hong Soohyun as Yoo Jitaes Hoobae from the university.

Music: The Song „Waht I want“ by Niihwa is a very nice song. When Mad Dog was on Air I listened to it every Day...Now I don‘t have time for that…

Rewatch Value: I will watch the drama again, definitly...After my Exams...

Just Between Lovers is such an incredible Korean drama. I was always looking forward to the next episode and wishing it wasn't coming to an end. This is now my favourite drama and one that would never forget. I would say that the story line really hit home to me, it made me feel all kind of emotions but it never got confusing.  This also was a realistic drama sharing the story of a tragic event that affected not only the two main characters but the support roles and this was also why i love this drama  so much and it is worth rewatching as it shows how they dealt with their own hardships and how each one is connected one way or another. I really don't see the characters being played by other actors, I truly believe that the cast was chosen perfectly and a lot of hard effort was put in by the staff and cast. I would say that the songs that were played through out the series gave that finally touch and really made an huge impact as it gave out all the feels to me as the viewer.

Overall, this drama gives you that realisation about life, if what you are doing is making you happy and creating a better you. I cant really write a long review but I would definitely recommend this drama to everyone. It is a MUST WATCH. I really don't think this one is the type to drop or not be interested in.I wouldn't be surprise if Just Between Lovers win awards this year, I am totally rooting for them.

I can’t believe that this show is already over. Just Between Lovers will be forever one of those dramas I would kill for. I’ve mostly cried my eyes but I'm so grateful for all the emotions I could feel when watching the episodes.

STORY
The story of this drama feels very realistic and unique. The cinematography was beautiful and I enjoyed the aesthetically pleasing scenes more than it's even possible. You could see that every character was actually very deeply developed and the creators really made an excellent work concentrating on small details. It was amazing how you could feel all the emotions coming from the characters and you could easily empathise with them. There weren't really any "good or bad" characters. They were only people struggling with life and their fears and it made an incredible impression on me. The connection was also definitely very strong between the main leads and not to mention the chemistry between them! Oh boy, my heart is thanks to this drama really heart-broken and overwhelmed at the same time.

ACTING/CAST
I have legitimately no words. The acting was incredible. I’m so proud of the whole cast for doing such a great job. The main leads really killed it. Lee Kang Doo portrayed by Lee Jun Ho is a character who I would protect at all costs. He suffered so much and I still can't believe that Lee Jun Ho was able to portray him so realistically. He didn't have to say anything and you could already feel the character's emotions through his eyes. The same goes for Won Jin Ah. She also did an incredible job and the fact that she's a starting actress, wow.  Lastly, I have to mention the chemistry again. Their relationship was obviously very important in the storyline and I loved the story behind their connection. I couldn't be more satisfied with their passionate performances.

MUSIC
I always forget to notice music in dramas but this was so painful to watch that I heard the music in my ears louder than ever. The songs definitely made a big impact on the scenes and also on my weak heart.

OVERALL
Honestly, I don’t have all the proper words to fully describe my thoughts about this drama. It was so tragically sad and realistic and I’m so amazed by this. I’m amazed about the plot, about the cast, about everything. How I said before, the acting was in my point of view incredible and the characters made the plot even more unique. Even though I emotionally suffered so much, I'd love to rewatch this when I get the chance to.

JUST BETWEEN LOVERS .......this is not just a drama but a roller coaster  ride of emotions, feels and healing  our hearts. This is by far one of the most beautifully shot dramas after Goblin with a melancholic tone.Every scene looked like a beautiful picture crafted in a canvas.
The synopsis given here is quite simple but the drama is just the opposite. It portrays human emotions so realistically. The story is about Lee kang do and Ha moon soo who have a tragic past and are now  suffering from that traumatic phase where their lives are devastated.
The story itself was so soothing that you gonna love it even though you are not a melodrama lover because its so real and heartwarming that you cannot wait for the next week.Every episode gave you some awesome explanations o f our convoluted life. The story had an essence of originality.
Director KIM JI WON has excelled this time with his superlative direction. You can expect this from the director of Nice Guy and I remember you.He has outdone himself in this department.Screen writer Yoo bo ra has also done a nice job in transition of stories from one track to other. You wil cry your heart out surely.
Now comes the biggest factor that made me write my second review is the acting of the of the leads.Lee jun ho was the heart of the show.Being a kpop star I never thought he would do good but he was outstanding and if he doesn't get an award for this then i would be really upset because he was freaking awesome in every frame. His every expression was priceless and when he was crying i couldn't stop my heart that was hurt. The rustic guy  lee kang doo  having a heart is my charcter now.Ha moon soo is a character with ehich everyone can relate  though her sufferings were same as Kang doo but she had a strong capabilty of handling problems better than kang doo.Won jin Ha is amazing in her first drama ,Being a newcomer she is so alive on screen and her chemistry with lee jun ho is amazing.along  with the leads if someone who captured my heart was sang man and offcourse my halmae.Kang do scenes with both of them were gold. All others were good i loved the relationship between ma ri and yoo taek.Even the second leads were good especially kang ha na.Every other actor have done justice to their roles.Music was one of the most important factor of their success.Every song was good beautifully fitted to the story. Finally a drama you will never forget. My fav drama 2017.It deserve awards and even if they don't get it i know they have already won our hearts.

I just want to say, I loved how this drama started out. I loved Jojo's quirky and crazy antics. Yes, it can be a bit much at times. Yes, she yells A LOT and it is not for everyone, but I personally loved her at the beginning.  I laughed so hard at times because she was an absolute goof.  I loved the main lead, despised everything about the second lead.

That being said, midway through, this drama became so stressful to watch.  I don't think I would have made it through if it wasn't the Viki commenters.  I feel like every character's personality drastically changed and continued to change so fast that it might give a person whiplash.  I am not sure what the writers were doing, things got complicated, drawn out, and very very frustrating.

There are still some parts that make zero sense, but whatever, it's a show.

If anything, watch it for the beginning because Jojo is a hoot.  If you have Viki, turn on the comments while you watch, you won't regret it.

I wanted to be one of the first ones to write this review. Why? I didn’t even finish the last episode properly yet. Because this drama completely played with my emotions and made the beginning of 2018 so amazing!

Seldom can dramas make me feel this frustrated, excited, bubbly all in one episode. That’s what an incredible drama should do with you - completely play with your feelings, make you question certain things. The genre is definitely melodramatic so prepare to feel heart-broken and to weep a whole lot. However, this is also a realistic drama showing the unfortunate lives of two humans and their natural approach to romantic love. Seeing the two characters develop feelings for each other and being connected in the past made my heart oh so weak. I’m a sucker for the main characters to have a bomb chemistry. And oh boy, the lead actors killed it! First, Won Jin Ah is currently one of the most memorable young and starting actresses out there for me. She was so professional with how she transferred her character’s feelings. I have to say, this was my first time seeing Lee Jun Ho’s performance as well and not only is he an amazing actor, but a singer as well. Speaking about music, the OST was so sincere, the songs made such an impact on all of the scenes, and me included. To add, I appreciate that the viewers got to see the different lives and struggles of the supporting characters. Each of them have their own unique story which makes this drama worth rewatching all over again!

(Also, I felt the need to address something as well. Never drop a drama if you’re not sure on how the ending is going to turn out like. The natural progression of the drama, the characters, their developing stories are what make this series worth watching.)

Overall, this drama makes you appreciate life even more and live your life to the fullest every day somehow. I bow down to the creators of this drama for giving me a thrilling rollercoaster ride full of incredible emotions!
