For me it started slow. At the start of this drama, I wasn't really attached to it. I just watch the episodes for the sake of Yoo Ah In ( because oh god, in all dramas of him I watched, he's hottest in Chicago Typewriter). But as the story progressed (around episode 5) I got attached to it and I found myself glued the whole time. While I was watching it, I was reminded of my country's National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, like at first I thought "wait is this based on Jose Rizal's story?".  Like Hwi Young he is a doctor and a writer. Although he is not a leader of any movement (but was accused as a leader, leading to his death), he wrote novels which changed and influenced the revolutionist at that time, also like Hwi Young, he is a great and brilliant man. I think if this drama will be aired in my local channels, many will also find similarities with Hwi Young and Dr. Jose Rizal. ( Hands up fellow Filipinos! Did you feel that too ?) Anyway, the reason why I mentioned that is because of that fact that I liked this drama. It feels good, surprising, exciting to find a drama from another country that also reflects my country's history.  Although I did not have first-hand experience  with the Japanese occupation of my country, I really emphatize with the it. I read of real stories of what happened during that time and I am sure that it is similar to what Korea have been through. Although those weren't explicitly seen in the drama, I know the cruelties of the Japanese during that time.

I hope my review will not scare those drama fans who doesn't like history type of dramas. This drama is not about history at all (which is boring), it is not about what we've read on books (which are politically corrected). It is a story that focuses on the point of view of the youths stuck in that era. An era were in falling in love is a luxury, and they got no time for that. Also it showed how privilege we are now, that we are living in a liberated country (yes I hope the one reading this also lives in a liberated country). So thank our freedom fighters for that. Kudos to this drama, I hope I will see such dramas in the future too.

I finished the whole drama. I was very interested in the story line but was dissapointed. The main couple's relationship felt icky to me due to the maturity difference. The actress was super cute but there seemed to be a disparity in how the goblin and her interacted. It wasn't like moving deep emotions,  you almost just feel like they're just "cute". The pacing was just about right. I actually liked the side storyline better. I enjoyed the acting but for some reason not the casting. I wouldn't recommend.

I really enjoyed this drama. I did go into this blind, like I had no idea it was a manga and there was a Japanese version. I found it on Netflix and decided to watch and thought it was good to pass the time. Nothing too dramatic, just fluffy drama. I really enjoyed it and, I mean the acting wasn't the worst but it also wasn't the best. I took it all with a grain of salt and just enjoyed the drama for what it was: beautiful music, romantic story, friendship and hard work! I say go in without any bias if possible so that it can be enjoyed and watched for what it is. I'm glad there wasn't any like major love triangles and no major villains. I do wish some parts were explained more thoroughly cuz it felt like things just happened but I enjoyed it overall.

I am always up for watching a fresh, jumpy, light-hearted high school drama. If you've ever wanted to come back to those old High School Musical/Step Up movie days, please watch this!

Just like any typical K-drama about school, this one deals about the same problems, characters, teachers. Nothing new in that field. That's why I found the story kind of lacking since you can always tell what's going to happen next. The fluffy factor is definitely out there, especially with the main couple. Their chemistry was great, I loved it right of the bat during episode 1 (they had enough screen time too so that's very fortunate.) Villains, like always, made me frustrated, second lead characters gave me a common fever known as "The Second Lead Syndrome". The music was very fitting as well, some songs are stuck in my head already!

Overall, if you like these dramas that are about teen-romance, high school problems, friendships this one is a great pick! I think 12 episodes are just enough for you to have a great watch!

My daughter was watching this drama at first and I wondered what is so great about this drama. After watching a few episodes, I fell in love with this drama. It brings me back to my school days. The storyline is so sweet and so romantic. So many funny moments of Xiao Xi with Jiang Chen that you can't stop laughing it out loud. I must say, all the cast was perfectly chosen. I also love Wu Bo Song. He always take care of Xiao Xi. Love his character in the drama.
I finished all in just 3 days. Felt this drama is a bit too short, wish there were more episode. I watched it over and over again. I even went into their wikipedia to know more about the cast.

I love the song so so much. Never skip the song in the beginning of the show. The song kept running in my head and I always love to sing along.

Overall, I highly recommend this drama to all at all age as it will make you feel happy and young.. watch it if you don't believe me Hahaha... really looking for forward for Part 2.

As a member of the LGBT, I would like to say THANK YOU to the director for having the courage to make this kind of movie and to show that it is not bad to make genres like this because of discrimination. It really warms my heart and I hope for more movies or dramas like this. <3

Let's move on to the review.

I like the plot, the guy being sexually confused and all of that, but I agreed to most of the comments that it is a bit rushed for the character's development to bloom. I want to know more about their roles and more about the story line. It could've been more of a drama series than a movie to make it smooth. The ending, I just can't. Another deduction of the point for the story line because of the ending, it left me hanging, I'm like "That's it?", Again, I wanted to know more and more about the characters, the story and the aftermath,  but rather than that, I think that it is really a good plot & the mixture of suspense and romance, it just needed to be longer.

The characters. A BIG SALUTE to OH SEUNG HOON (Yeong Woo) and PARK SON WOONG (Jae Ha) for also having the courage to take those roles. Oh Seung Hoon is just a rookie to acting but he is doing so well and I wish him for more leads because I will watch his dramas/movies for sure. <3

The background music really fits the scenes so I have no problem with it.

Rewatch? I would rewatch for that short romance of Yeong Woo and Jae Ha (LOL). But plot-wise, I would watch it again also.

Overall, amazing cast and acting, good story line, and great movie! :)

PS. I'm having a crush on Seung Hoon after watching this because of taking the role, omg Nam Joo Hyuk I'm sorry, I will always love you and support you :')

The thing about web dramas is that it's a lot easier to forgive their failings because they're so short. I thoroughly enjoyed my watch of Noble, My Love despite the many things wrong with it.

What I liked:
The story
It was cliched and trope-y but still utterly engrossing. I'm not sure I'll ever tire of contract relationships. I also thoroughly love the whole person a took care of person b in time of need and now person b is utterly in love and doesn't know what to do with themselves.

The characters
Cha Yeon Soo actually kept her spunk. These days I'm so used to spunky female leads becoming doormats the instant they start falling for the male lead but that thankfully never happened to Yeon Soo! I've also never seen a character that was a vet before it was super interesting and I really believed that Yeon Soo loved her job and loved animals.

I also liked the plethora of side characters. Both the little brothers were great. The actors playing them had better acting than the leads in my opinion so they were a delight every time they were on screen.

The shortness
Like I mentioned, web dramas are great because they're short. I never felt like the story was weighted down with filler. We got exactly what we needed from each 0 minute episode.

What I didn't like:
Lee Kang Hoon
He embodies everything wrong with kdramas when writing male leads. He's controlling and demanding. He always has to have things his way and there's never any character development. There were several times where this character alone almost made me drop the drama. I'm so sick of alpha male bullshit in kdramas and I hope this is a dying trend.

The acting
So far, I've loved Sung Hoon in everything I've seen him in (especially Oh My Venus) but here he was just....not good. Kim Jae Kyung is also my favorite member of Rainbow so I was hoping she would do well. However, both of them weren't that great. They had moments and they definitely had chemistry. But their acting ranged from over the top to stiff to mediocre. I found a lot of the side characters had better acting than these too which is a down right shame.

Overall
I think this was a cute little watch and I'd recommend it if you're in the mood for a cliche feel good drama. You know exactly what you're getting when you watch it.

Spark was a cute little watch. You know exactly what you're getting going into. A short, cliche feel good drama. It's not great but it's not bad. The acting isn't great but it isn't bad. Overall, it's just a short watch to put you in a good mood and deliver some fluff. I couldn't really ask more of a show that's 12 15-minute episodes.

The biggest failing for me honestly was the whole bit in the first episode about Ha Neul pooping in the bushes. I get that digestive humor is a big part of Korean humor but dear god am I sick of it. I mostly just find it annoying and I'm hoping this weird bit of humor starts to fade out.

I also think the ending and character motives could have been a little more clear. Especially with two specific characters though I won't go into more detail to avoid spoilers. I know it's hard with a drama that's so short but some actions by character's were definitely completely out of left field. There was absolutely no set up for things they did.

Like I said, I can't complain too much. I knew exactly what I was getting into and it was exactly what I wanted from it. A cute little rom com that I could finish in a couple hours.

I wanted to start this New Year with a good drama that would pump me up and kick-start 2018. I picked Kahogo No Kahoko because, once again, my Insta friend strongly recommended it. When she strongly recommends a drama I am sure that it will be something really good. And as expected, this drama was amazing. Kahogo No Kahoko is about a young girl who is overprotected by her parents and hardly has any experience interacting with the outside world. This drama is well-written with some beautifully sketched characters. I enjoyed this drama a lot and here is what I liked and disliked about it.

Good Weights
I enjoyed watching Kahogo No Kahoko because…
…Kahoko is a very adorable lead. She (like most drama heroines) is naïve beyond imagination. She has been living in a bubble all her life and has no idea of how the outside world functions. She has no friends and relies on the internet to solve her queries like ‘how to console someone’, ‘how to impress a guy’ and even ‘how to get over heartbreak’. She loves her family and will do anything to see them happy. She makes faces that amuse and confuse people. She sleeps like a baby, anywhere and anytime after she has had her fill.
…actress Takahata Mitsuki portrayal of Kahoko was mind-blowing. I was amazed at how well she got into the skin of the character and adopted a body language of a slightly nervous, mostly clueless and a totally naïve young girl. Her hands flailed like a little child each time sprinted. Her shoulder slouched each time she felt cornered or intimidated. Her face had a new expression each time she experienced an emotion for the first time. Bow down to this amazing actress.

…Japanese doramas do not need a kiss to create romance between its characters. Most Asian dramas have to have a kiss scene to show love between the main leads, but Kahogo No Kahoko proves that love can be shown without getting intimate. I am not against kissing scenes. I, like most drama fans, wait for my favourite couple to kiss and seal the deal. But some dramas are written with such depth that you are convinced of the love without any ‘loving’ scene. Kahoko and Hajime share such a deep connection that I did not need to see them kiss or even hug to convince me of how much they feel for each other.

…this drama, like a lot other Japanese dramas, promotes family love. I am very close to my family and I know the importance of inculcating family values in children. Kahoko too is close to her parents and her extended family. Like every other family, hers too is not perfect and she sees her uncles and aunts quarreling amongst themselves. But she accepts them as they are and struggles to keep them together. This is also a beauty of Japanese dramas. JDramas often promote family values. They do not shove it down your throat forcing you to accept their idea of family love but they very subtly explain the importance of being loving towards the people who matter to you.

…it is a good break from fluffy romances. I always say in that Japanese dramas try to be close to reality. Character predicaments and the solutions to them may not always be practical but are often believable. If you have watched a lot of dramas you will expect to see the hero standing right behind the heroine just when she needs him. But that does not happen in JDramas. Here the heroine, no matter how helpless she is, has to somehow find her own solution and if not then has to make her way to the hero on her own to have his help. Kahoko has been dependent on her mother all her life. When she decides to break free from it, she does not fall dependent on Hajime but finds her way on her own, with some guidance from him. This is why I love Kahoko so much.

Bad Weights
I did NOT LIKE Kahogo No Kahoko because…
…I did not like the fact that Kahoko never looked for a job herself. The drama starts with her getting rejected for jobs but she is determined to find one for herself. A few tries later she completely forgets about finding a job and gets busy helping to solve her family problems. Things do fall into place for her eventually but her determination dimmed too quickly for my liking. I understand she was not meant to be a regular office goer but still, it would have been better had she at least tried working somewhere.

…I did not like the end to Kahoko and Hajime’s love story. [[Spoiler Alert: Kahoko and Hajime eventually get married to each other by the end of the drama. Hajime is a struggling artist and Kahoko has no means to support herself. Such young kids decide to get married just because Kahoko’s grandma wanted to see them together. I appreciate the fact that the writers did not make Hajime rich overnight to have them married, the way most dramas show. Hajime remains a poor artist but how can they just get married? It may seem fancy in a drama but in real life it sucks. I did not like how they concluded Kahoko’s love story but I enjoyed the drama overall.]]

I give Kahogo No Kahoko 4 out of 5 rating. A gladsome girl, an earnest love affair, a loving close-knit family make this drama a good watch. Do give it a try. You may find Kahoko annoying at first but do not give up on her, trust me you will gradually warm up to her.

You can see the other reviews so I'll just say it briefly.

The plot made me sleepy and it is all over the place that I don't know what's the goal.

Nam Joo Hyuk I will always love you (and Lee Sung Kyung) and your acting career but this one is a big NO for your role. :( Doesn't fit. Shin Se Kyung, your acting here is a bit meh. Sorry. Krystal and Gong Myung are much better acting in this drama.

The music though is good to listen and there is one song that I like.

I dropped this already after episode 12 because it didn't excite me and is really boring D:

This is the only "School" series that I watched. Never watched School 2013/2015, but I think this is a great drama to watch.

I must say, the plot is great. The investigation to find X, the relationship of the parents and the main roles, the corruption of the administration, the rich students and parents who dodges the bullet every time, the romances of the roles, the friendship, bullying, etc., there are a lot of things going on in the drama which makes me have mixed emotions like anger, happiness, anxiety and romantic excitement. The last 2 episodes are a bit rushed for me because I wanted it to be longer to keep the flow of the story smooth that's why the points are deducted. Other than that, I think the story is amazing and it leaves life lessons.

The cast, they executed their roles amazingly and it makes me amazed too. Kim Se Jung (Eun Ho) & Kim Jung Hyun (Tae Woo) fit through their roles and make up a cute and lovable couple which is great to watch, and their acting is so good for rookies and I didn't know that their just new to the acting business. Jang Dong Yoon (Dae Hwi) and Seol In Ah (Nam Joo) also make up a great couple. Can't believe they're new to acting too, they executed their roles so well. Other than that, other casts (villains, staff, other students) did executed their roles very well so I gave it a 10.

The music, I don't mind the music at all. I just deducted .5 because there are some music that didn't hit my emotions.

Overall, a great drama to watch and if you can handle your emotions well, you can watch this drama. :)

This movie was amazing!! Every expectation I had was fulfilled. This movie is exactly what the description in-piles and it does not disappoint. For me, I have very high expectations when it comes to BL movies, but this movie unlike most I've seen isn't cringy and over exaggerated.

PLOT: I thought the plot was a creative idea and very well planned out and put together. This film has a bit of a twist that I wasn't expecting but I enjoyed it. I won't give anything away though. I'm just thankful that it didn't follow the cringy plot line where the a girl will do anything to split them up.

ACTING: The acting was done brilliantly, they did a good job showing emotions with just one look. The main actors were also really cute/hot.

MUSIC: I didn't even pay any attention to it, too engrossed with the story line.

REWATCH: I will definitely rewatch this soon.

OVERALL: Overall, I love this movie so much and it was worth staying up till 1-2 am to watch it. I highly recommend it.

This drama was honestly amazing. The story was interesting, albeit a bit unrealistic. I found the male lead and female lead very cute together, and the way they faced trials together was heartwarming. I felt that the male lead's mother and the commanding officer were underdeveloped as characters, but they could have added much more to the lakorn. I actually watched this drama before all the others, but this one is the final in the series. Even if the drama ends up being unappealing to you, the last 40 minutes of the final episode are honestly the best. The camaraderie between the four friends are explored further as we get an idea of how close they really are.

A lot of reviews compare "Meteor Garden" to the other "Hana Yori Dango" adaptations, which I don't think is really fair... Not only was MG the first drama version, it was made on a pretty low budget. Producer Angie Chai bought most of the F4's clothes from local thrift shops and had a hard time getting funding for some of the scenes. Nevertheless, Chai had a vision and it paid off. "Meteor Garden" is considered the first of the popular "idol drama" trend and launched her career as a prolific producer. The drama made household names out of Barbie Hsu, Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu. All went on to have good careers, though to varying degrees of success. It also introduced the sweet and popular Rainie Yang.As an adaptation of "Hana Yori Dango" (or "Boys Over Flowers"), MG is probably the most faithful to the manga. MG combined a few characters (notably Makiko and Sakurako [Li Zhen] and Seinosuke and Junpei [Xiao Shun]), but I was pleasantly surprised to see Matsutaro (Ah Song, played by Wallace Chung) and Amon (Ya Men, played by Blue Lan). Neither of the latter characters have been featured in any other drama, not even the Japanese version. Additionally, MG follows the manga almost scene by scene, only skipping over about one arc. It's unfortunate that the manga was not finished yet, so the writers had to make up an ending. I was not really a fan of the last episode, besides the very last scene. For fans of the manga, I would say this is a must-watch, despite the low production values. Barbie Hsu's (Shan Cai) and Jerry Yan's (Dao Ming Si) chemistry was also on point. It's no wonder this version was so popular at the time that it aired. A popularity that endures to this day. I'm very excited for the upcoming remake since Chai has promised to make another faithful (but updated and flashy) rendition.
