Story: I think the writers took it for granted and just assumed viewers of the movie would already know the story. The story has a lot of potential, a twist on the common flower boy and inexperienced girl shoujo plot. However, this was not executed very well. I have seen shorter manga adaptations that tell a better story than this 2 hour film did. I never thought I would say a movie of that length was rushed but this one was. There was a lack of writing for their relationship and so it did not progress in a believable way and the character development was lacking. The friendship between Erika and Ayumi was fairly good, written with enough detail but Takeru, Kyoya's sister and even Kyoya were very underwritten and flat. Yes, I said Kyoya. THE MALE LEAD. The movie was a meh romance that just wasn't as funny, compelling or satirical as it was meant to be. I think it could have been wonderful as a drama, even a limited episode drama, because there could have been more character development to convey the story much better.
Cast: The cast is not bad at all. My low score has nothing to do with the casting, I enjoyed everyone but they were not given much to work with. If the cast had better scripting and even more screen time for some of them, this could have been much better.
Music: The music was okay? There were some songs I liked such as the ending theme and the song where Kyoya is running through the city. However, I disliked most of the other music choices. They intruded on the scenes and were not very good choices in my opinion, especially the song choice during the cake scene. I found myself focusing more on the music at times than hat was actually happening on screen.
Rewatch: If you like it you can rewatch it. I will most likely never watch this again unless I am desperate.. I really, really just didn't care for this one. I would rather watch the whole anime again.
This is just my personal opinion and I hope it helps. Don't let this deter you from trying it out if you think you might enjoy it! ...I'm just saying t don't expect a masterpiece. Overall, it was just between meh and okay. Like always, happy drama watching. :)

It is said that, in storytelling, whether or not a subject has been told is irrelevant, where true originality needs to lie is on how it's told. And I think this drama has something that makes it really worth the watch, despite the countless detective dramas you'll see around: the two leads.
Leading detective duos are not uncommon, especially not on dramas, but there has to be a very precise balance to work them out: it isn't just about having good characters and good actors, it's also about the actors having good chemistry and working well together. In this one, that's the heart of the drama. I was a bit weary when I started watching because even though Kubota Masataka is a very good actor, some of his pairings tend to not work as well as expected. But that's where Saito Takumi comes in, he works really great in duos and adapts very well to different people. The relationship between Himura and Arisu is the key of this drama, it's an anchor for the characters as well as what makes them move forward, and these two deliver that amazingly well.
The story isn't at its full potential, probably because this is adapting books that have much more space to deliver mysteries and create intrigue. When it comes to cases, it may not be the most innovative drama out there, and for the restraint of adapting to this medium, it may feel somewhat rushed in some places. Still, the characters are all very interesting and these two leads shine both individually and as a duo. They have a sort of Sherlock/Watson resemblance, in the sense that Himura is the smart, calculating and seemingly cold detective while Arisu is the emphatic, loyal and light-hearted companion, but they both shine in their own right and Arisu isn't in any way less smart, interesting or action-prone, as well as Himura has a very emotional side which is the core of his character arc and where him and Arisu connect. It was this core what made me more interested in Himura as the series went on, because Arisu was easily the most fun to watch at first, but Himura's constant turmoil between good and evil and his fear of hurting others hits very deeply with Saito Takumi's performance.
All in all, it has its flaws, it's not a perfect detective drama, but I haven't seen such great chemistry in a drama in a while, and I'm glad these two weren't shy to go to these extents to show it. If you're more interested in well-written mysteries with very surprising twists, maybe this one isn't for you, but if you're more interested in characters, their development and amazing on screen chemistry between these two great actors, then give this one a shot.

This drama had great character and potential, but somewhere along the way the storyline became obvious in indirect ways and it started to become boring to me. However, I watched to the very end (as a fan of the scriptwriter and actors).
Though I give this drama more of an in-between, I recommend watching this for yourself because it's not a drama any k-drama fan would regret watching! It has action, fan-service, parts where you would laugh your head off, parts you would cry, and parts where you would just fall in love with not only the main actors, but all of the characters (well maybe not all - it depends on you).

It's been a while since I've liked almost every character in a drama. Not only that, but also it's been a while since I've liked a main male lead this much. This drama may not be the best out there, may not have the most consistent and plausible plot, but it's enjoyable, heartwarming and funny. And at the end, even if you didn't like the drama, at least you'll know the word I said in the beginning lol
Hit The Top begins with a demi-original plotline: time traveling. While it's not completely original, and the explanations are very faulty, the show does a good job at exploring it's slice of life themes like family, friendship, love and finding your place in the world. The struggles the characters face are very real, althought not so deep exploited, and you will find yourself indetifying with them.
The first time I saw Yoon Shi Yoon was on Flower Boy Next Door (one of my first dramas) and I absolutely loved him there. Here he plays a similar character, but different at the same time. However I'm not here to compare the two, after all it's a completely different drama. But what I notice here was a slightly improvement in him. He seems more light, more funny. It's not like he's playing a character, his acting is so natural that you actually believe Hyun Jae is a real person.
As for the rest of the cast, I was quite impressed with Cha Tae Hyun, Yoong So Ha and Dong Hyun Bae. Each gave interesting layers to their characters, offering portrayals of real people rather than just characters. As for Kim Min Jae and Lee Se Young I wasn't impressed at all, but rather than liking their acting, I liked their characters, which was the main reasons I didn't dislike them at all.
The music fits the light and sometimes more tense tone of the drama, but nothing unforgetable.
As for the lenght, I thought it could've condensed everything a little bit, or at least give some decent explanations for the time traveling. Really, while the drama's strong points lies on characters and interactions, I think they forgot to add a more logical, without so much plot holes ending. Also I would've liked more hints on one of the big reveals of the series, because it ended up being too forced for my taste.
Overall it's a good drama. I liked almost all the characters, their friendship despite most having nothing to do with each other and the little life lessons it gives. Not perfect, it would be if it had a better execution and less plot holes.

Story?I've been in to crime/police drama's a lot lately and read some good reviews on the first few episodes so I decided to watch Witch's court. The first few episodes were great and I loved our main characters Ma Yi Deum and Yeo Jin Wook. I really liked the small stories inbetween and the funny interactions between some characters. I was also very curious about the main storyline and what had exactly happened in the past etc. However the more the drama progressed, how weaker the story became. The plotholes increased and the romance between Ma Yi Deum and Yeo Jin Wook that I loved so much kinda disappeared. Everything became quite serious but it sometimes felt like I could watch these hour long episodes without important anything happening. Therefore I kinda lost interest in the main story of Ma Yi Deum and her team trying to get Cho Gap Soo convicted. I started to even sympathize with him at some point which made the ending very unsatisfying. Acting/Cast?I don't have much to say ???about the acting and cast other than that it was great. I especially liked how well Jung Ryeo Won did at portraying Ma Yi Deum as a strong woman who however did have some flaws. Furthermore I think Yoon Hyun Min really suited the character of Jin Wook. Before this drama I watched Tunnel and his character was kinda similar to this one. The same goes for Heo Sung Tae. ^^Music?I don't have anything special to remark about the music in this drama. There were only two songs that I can really remember and that were played kinda often. One was a song that ???played when Ma Yi Deum succeed (by outsmarting others) and the other, more dramatic song played during moments of dispair for Cho Gap Soo (my favourite scenes to be honest)Rewatch Value????The rewatch value isn't high on this one but I feel like I would want to 'relive' some scenes again and therefore watch some (parts of) episodes again.OverallI just finished this drama yesterday and overall I'm quite content. I might've sounded quite negative when talking about the story but the drama isn't that bad at all. Plot just isn't its strongest point so I would only recommend watching this drama whenever you want to relax and not have a very deep or complicating story that you have to think about a lot. The effects are also really good. Well I think it is very good for how old it is.
The story was nice to follow and I really loved that there was a kid involved.
I really like it when grow ups take care of a kid so they get like relationship and it's very cute and in this movie there was this so yeah I liked it.
I don't get why it isn't that popular.. Please watch this movie it deserves alot more views!

Drama Special Season 8: If We Were A Season

Although this is actually a typical drama storyline, nothing special or unique, I really like how the story and the pace are displayed. It is a 1-hour drama, but it does not feel rushed. Everything is going smoothly until the very end. I think the casts and acting play a big role in making this drama a spectacular drama. All of them portray their characters so nicely, I can really feel their emotions, chemistry and everything else. I am familiar with Jinyong and Soo Bin. However, I am not familiar with the other main lead guy. Nevertheless, I really hope to see him in more dramas in the future. Besides being an eye candy, he is really good at conveying his emotions. Good job! In terms music, the end music is super nice. I love it. It is very memorable and it is currently giving me an earworm ._. Hmm.. although it is good, I dont think I will rewatch this again, it is good for a one-time watch hehe
However, despite the 'perfectness', I do feel that there are some plotholes. Some of the problems are not clearly solved. I do wish those problems could be solved clearly but then considering the 1-hour time, I can let this slide :D
Overall, perfect! Recommended! ;)

Miss miho, who played two characters did really well in portraying two different personalities. Miki the young female itsuki did her part splendidly as well. The male itsuki wasn't really shown a lot of times but i feel like it was just enough for the movie. The supporting chartacters are amazing as well.
I love how both girls - fujii itsuki and watanabe hiroko - are leading different but there's a part of them that's not so different altogether.
The background music was on point for the different situations.
It was the first time that i didn't mind watching a movie with characters i'm not familiar about.
This movie left a pretty big impact. I'd love to watch movies like this again.

Although I do like the drama, the cute moments are not enjoyable. This is because I know that it is fake, he likes her because of her look. I feel really bad for her, seriously. How can she feel loved when she knows that the one this guy 'loves' is not her, it must be very heartbreaking.. I enjoy the moments she has with him as herself (let's call this A) more than the moments she has with him as the 'beautiful' version of herself (let's call this B).
FINISHED THE DRAMA REVIEW
In terms of story, I find the concept original and interesting. I have not seen any drama with this kind of story before. Moreover, it is also a drama with beautiful takehome messages: 1. Never judge a book by its cover; 2. It does not matter whether someone is pretty or not, they will look pretty when you love them. However, despite the beautiful message and original storyline, I do find the first half of the drama kinda uncomfortable to watch. This is because (reason stated above).
In terms of acting/casts, I love all the casts. While some people have mentioned that the main lead is not likable. I, personally, find him likable. Moreover, although this is a web drama with only 6 episodes, I can clearly see the character development of all of the characters. I can see them grow and change for the better. Salute for the writer. Tbh, I do have a slight SLS in this drama, however, since I find the main lead also likable, it is not that severe for me. Hope the other guy will find someone for him too!
In terms of music, I dont think there is any memorable or particular ost for this drama. All the music seem like a background song for the scenes, not really an OST. In short, there is no particular music/song I will think of when thinking of this drama.
In terms of rewatch value, I dont think I will rewatch it. It is nice for a one time watch, not so much of a rewatch.
In conclusion, I do recommend this drama to all of you! Please do be patient for the first half tho hehe
