This is a romance/mystery drama about people who have to deal with mental ilnesses, which is pretty interesting to watch, since this serie deals with this in a pretty mature way.

The acting of this drama is really great, unlike other drama the characters feel more realistic in their behaviour and acting. Music is nice and the general story and theme is pretty interesting.

Yet there are still some problems with this drama, if you are like me, having the second lead syndrome, wanting to watch this because you think you will finally get a less sexist, mature romance, then you might be a bit dissapointed. If you liked coffee prince or hana yori dango, then don't read any further, you'll definitly like this one, just go and watch it! : ), but if you are the kind of person who got red flag reactions when watching them, then you might also find this serie problematic.

One of the problems I had with this serie is that it still has the dominating male, while he is not as abusive as other male leads, there will be some scenes in it that gave me wtf reactions. There is also a side romance story,in which the male finally seems to get a spine, but then turns also in the typical dominating male, which the girl suddenly falls for. I've written down below some of the scenes which decreased the enjoyment I had wathing this show, I've removed the names to make it as less spoilerish as possible,

THIS MIGHT BE SLIGHTLY SPOILERISH, SO DON'T SCROLL BELOW, IF YOU REALLY DON'T WANT ANY SPOILERS!!!

The acting of this drama is really good, and the story and the characters feels more mature than other standard cliche drama's, but for me it went downhill after episode 9. Below are some of the things that destroyed the enjoyment of this show.

- female says she wants no sex on the trip. During the trip man gets suprised that she really meant this, saying that sex the ultimate act of love is, he acts angry and then leaves her. Later she goes to him, they make up and have sex. (ofcourse sex equals love cough cough*, what really would have been an atc of love is if he would've respected her boundaries, their relation is only a few months, and she has serious anxiety issues on intimacy, heck she even had problems with kissing)

- Male suddenly says that he goes out the house and live alone again and thinks that there is no problem with that, for it is because of work. I mean they have a serious relationship, they were living together, and the man suddenly says, "well, I'm going to live alone again for my work"... it is so bs, during the day he could just write at that place, and then just go home.

- female is seriously upset that her ex, who cheated on her, just comes into her house, because he works together with a roommate of hers. Nobody is understanding to her. The man the ex works with even screams at her saying that they otherwise would need to pay money somewhere... again bs they could have gone to the ex's house to talk about their work.

- There are two side characters, a male and a female, they divorced some years ago. The female tells her female friend that she finally realizes that her relationship with the male was 100% her fault (weird that she says this, but okay, it could be...). She says that her man wanted a child, but she secretly took contraceptives, she wanted to continue her career which would be impeded if she would get a child, at some point he found out and they divorced. Ofcourse what she did was wrong, but the fact that she thought that she could not be honest in her relationship already tells me that there was something already wrong in the relationship to begin with.

- Other side characters are a young man and female. In the beginning the girl practically uses him to get new stuff. I understand the female character, her mother left her at an early age, and she has a kind of absent father who fills the home with junk stuff. At some point the young man stops the relationship. I was like yay : D, he finally got some spine, he stops letting him being used. But then the story changes into the toxic idea "that if you save some person you'll get the girl". He helps her father, saying to him that he should not bring the junk home, but sell it to get some money... and suddenly the father actually does that, I am sure that the female character must have said it once in her life to her father, but that must not have impressed him, the young man magically fixed her father.
Then he gets angry at the girl for the fact that she talks bad about her father, he is still your parent afterall, she still should have respect for him... a father who has for a long time neglected her, he tells her how his own father kicked him out of the house, because of his mental ilness, but he still calls him every week to know how he is doing, if she still wants to have a relationship with him, she should say so before the count of three... (I would have rolled my eyes and walked away, but...), she looks at him in awe and says that she wants to be in a relationship with him. I understand that the young man's way of thinking, even though I disagree, what irked me the most was his counting down, like a parent to a child would do. The girl, while using other people, is pretty smart, if the man talked in a rational, equal way, it could've been the start of a mature relationship, yet instead we see how he acts to her like a parent to a child...

- In the end we see that the female protagonist gets pregnant, she's angry. The male protagonist pushed some weeks ago to have sex with her without a condom, which she actually didn't want to. When she tells him that she is pregnant, he silently walks out the room to the other male roommates. He tells them enthusiastingly that he becomes a father. They laugh happily. Female protagonist comes in, still angry. The male protagonist defends himself "But at that night she was so pretty"...(yeah right). The female starts to smile, and they laugh together. Later we hear that her study needs to be suspended two years. At the end the male protagonist jokely tells her to get another baby after this one. She tells him smilingly that she is angry at him, but at the end they still smile and kiss as if nothing has happened.

So this is still a better drama, than most cliche drama's, but everyone who says that this is such a 'mature' romance, they are lying, the cake does not exist, but it still has its sweet moments.

Just a tip b4 u watch this......watch the DRAMA FIRST. If u don't, I think you'd be like.....WTF. Throughout the whole movie. If I didn't watch the drama I'd be like WFT during the whole movie even tho I did for some bits....I was like....HUH???

I feel like this drama was made for pp who has watched the drama. But even tho I watched it, it's still so confusing. Their first kiss in this drama......I seriously, SERIOUSLY!!!! Had no idea how it happened and why??? Like......ummmm....could u pleas rewind for me???

And obviously the story wasn't clear. It went to that scene then that scene and then another scene randomly throughout the drama. My motto after watching a drama is to forget about everything so when I watch it the next time I'd be able to enjoy it as much as the first time. But for this movie I had to try to remember stuff from the drama in order to know what's going so.....yea.

BUT.....even tho the story was like here and there and there were some bits that I had no idea what was going on.....i DIDNT not enjoy it. I gotta say.....it's all bc they had good actors??? There were some scenes that I was so immersed into that I cried. Even tho I didn't know what was happening. There acting was literally that good. And the scenes are good, but just confusing so yea.....if ur like me quite easy going then u probably wont be mad after this movie. Wow....Liu crystal....I give her a BIG THUMBS UP. She's the bomb. I now know why she's so popular.

It is a pity tho....that the story wasn't very clear. Yang yang and crystal are such good actors. I understand why pp are mad and gave this movie bad reviews. That's why I did too! Lol. I hope that they'd be together in another drama but it has to be a better one than this one. For sure. Well, that's it for me today. Laterzzz.

At first i thought it was a rip off Shallow Hal or at least it would be a usual cliched romcom, instead i found a real message through a simple and lighthearted plot. Yes, i know it has few silly moments, but we can overlook them as the whole experience of this feel-good movie is worth watching.

Kim Ah Jung-in her first role-fits the role of the cute Hanna and the beautiful Jenny perfectly. She did all the songs by herself, despite not being a singer.

I like all the songs. my favourite is Maria, which is originally by Blondie. Actually the songs topped the Korean charts at that year.

"200 pounds beauty" was a super hit and won many awards and nominations including best actress and best film, so watch it. it is really a sweet one.

I will try to keep it short as much as I can.

First, the story isn't something unique or different, rather it is simple, but its execution is what makes it gripping.
The plot could have been meatier especially when it comes to some characters like Yuri's or the old inmate's ones, but I think the drama can become longer then.
I knew that there were two episodes extension, but I had never felt it dragging (comparing to other dramas).

Acting..everyone is talking about the acting which is the highlight of this show. I don't know if it weren't Ji Sung and Uhm Ki Joon, this drama would have been that great. Both acted deliberately; never overacting nor underacting for even once. The chemistry between the characters is another highlight and the comic timing comes as a relief from all that tension.

The music fits well and and it helps build up the tension and drag you into the mood. "I Love You Baby" was a sweet gesture and reflects the aim of the show and the motive behind our hero's journey.

Rewatch value: I often don't find thrillers have high rewatch value as all clues unfold in the first time, but I can watch this once again just for the performances.

Its a sweet story, maybe a bit too smooth for me and then again become a bit boring. I wish the writer could have spice the romance between the leads up more. But perhaps it had someting to do wirh with their chemistry (?). I dont know, but I feel is something that drags my expectation down. Maybe its due to the uneven balance of acting experiences or/and the age difference of the lead casts. I do not know what, but there is something weird here.
And it is straightforward way TOO much moral-propaganda messages in the entire series which they could have dropped!

But overall this series is not bad, it just missing out the height of ups and downs in the dramaturgy.
It has full of humor though, and I like the cute and reasonable interactions between all of the main characters. Even though my "rewatch value for the seriea is low.

Straight 10s for me. Wondrous, I kept thinking this must get less good, like most of the drama series, however it brought out the characters perfectly while bringing in a few different ideas, so it was never boring. I was putting off watching the last episode for some time as I did not want it to end. I suppose there's always exploitation that's why Nobuta could not choose between the boys as her most important person - she knew the real relationship was between Shuiji and Akira. Great performances, great drama. Will re-watch some time soon.

OMG long time ago i didn't watch a drama that made me laugh till my tears fall down as this one :"D
Lee Jang Woo brought me headache from laughing at ep. 10
& btw lee jang till the end didn't submit the report about y women love to wear high heels :P :D

really this drama didn't take it's place or the real high rate which it deserved
it's lovely nona romance
although they didn't clear that or stop at this point much but she was older than him 10 yrs
but they act as if they were the same age even the parents & that was really lovely & cute

very cute rom.com drama the love in it is slowly & logical not in rush as most of the dramas did,
& the woman lead is strong character as i love
the plot is very good
it's talking about one night relation & it's consequences , pure love, character development, maternity VS ambition, parental love, chasing your dreams & learning responsibility
i didn't pay much attention to the music so i guess it wasn't distinguish or remarkable for me but at the same time it wasn't bad

Highly recommended for those who love rom.com

SPOILER

i do really was so sad cause of the doctor & for Im Soo Hyang sooo
i was hoping till the end that they could find another partner not to love but at least to start with
why should the writer made me love both male & female leads WHY :'(

& the Chairwoman of Board of Directors was a REAL BIT** till the end
I was so happy for what (Im Soo Hyang) did to her ^_^ she deserved more than that

i don't know y most of the people said that they didn't get the end
it was really clear
while she was drugged she was thinking about her worries , future , her child & how she is going to be
& about her career
but she decided to wait & stop worrying to see what future 'll bring to her with all the persons she love
although it was a rush end for me especially the last 04 min. which i didn't like the most cause there were many things that i want to be clear for me
like her future with lee jang ?
the store they opened?
& many other things
cause writer showed us suddenly that she dreamt of what she is going to do with her future
she chose her baby & lee jang she married him & they raised the girl together & she began a new road with them full of shoes designing as she always dreamt of
it was some how kind of figure of speech
but it bothered me so >_< that's y i deduct a point

After a long time I enjoyed a family drama after Ojkayo brothers.
It is long, sometimes slow but mostly interesting and addictive, you will want to keep watching and wanting more.
Why?
The story is interesting and enjoyable. Very adorable characters, each having their own personal story which is fun to watch yet so interactive.
The family bond is so cute with nice parents who are supportive and loving.
The Uncles and the inlays story was the least interesting, and sometimes I used to skip those parts. Sorry!
If you like family dramas, then don't miss this one
Overall: A great family show, fun enjoyable and feel good!

Having been warned that the ending was horrible, I've watched this drama expecting the worse. But liking the idol from Crossgene and being a Suzy fan, I just had to watch this. And, truthfully, the ending wasn't that horrible, it was simply bad. No spoilers, but I don't really know what they wanted to achieve by that ending, did they wanted us to guess the mystery guy? Well, it wasn't that big of a mystery if you could make out the guy's physique, but anyway. The whole idea was interesting and the first half was funny and entertaining. The romance was so so with the girl always being uncertain of what she wanted. Plus, the whole age gap was just ignored by the end. Anyway, other than the romance that I didn't personally like, another thing that was a bit of a let down was the constant flash backs that kept happening towards the ending. Plus, repeating the same lines over and over again was just annoying. Other than that, it was an okay drama, with some funny moments, so 4 out of 10.

Overall: 5.6

Story: 5.0
The story follows a young model who moves to a small town in order to help take care of her ailing grandfather’s business. The story itself was slightly complicated for me to follow, just because it was slightly all over the place and didn’t quite have a flow. The spine of the film was there, with the relationship, they meet, something happens to split them apart, they met again, then break up spine, but what we got was a slight mess. What the story lacked in terms of dialogue or even a good plot it tried to make up for with Shock value. This story isn’t for the faint of heart, if you don’t like films that include attempted rape, some emotional damage, or the couple doesn’t gets together in the end, this story would not be for you.

Acting/Casting: 9.5
What the story lacked in flow and choppy editing, it made up for in casting. The chemistry between the two leads is what really made this film stand out for me. If anything, without the chemistry between any of the characters, this wouldn’t even be worth the watch.

The only casting choices or not even acting choices, mostly having to do with the character, (so this can go under story), has to do with the second female lead. She wasn’t really all that important in the end, and seemed to be there just to either push the two together, or break them apart. There was never any diving characterization of her character and at times I thought she was simply a figment of imagination, the ghost pulling the strings in the story plot.

Music: 6.5
The music is usually a hit or miss with me. For this one, it's in between. At times I thought it had the right instrumental background, at others, I wondered why the music was playing when silence would have been more beneficial. Knowing when to put in music and when not is a choice that most filmmakers make for a reason. I think in terms of music, this film didn’t quite hit the mark, but it wasn’t a great performance of the use of the art.

Rewatch Value: 1.5
This film isn’t really a happy go lucky, and if i were to rewatch it, I would skip the parts in between. For me, in my own opinion, this is one of those that you should see at least once, to get an idea of how talented the actors can be with not so good storyline.

**** CONTAINS SPOILERS *************

Grate is such an eye candy that I can't resist watching his lakorns :))) fangirling :D Yes the main lady is a bit annoying but Ameena was much more annoying. I don't like slug type of ladies and she's a slug here, like a flea.. I loved how realistic this lakorn is, Chin has got behaviour / anger problems, he also had drinking problems but after he made an accident that left his mother's neck injured he stops drinking, his mother is giving him advice to use his brain to solve problems don't look for alcohol to solve problems, we learn a lot about rubber plantation, we see that Chin goes to group therapy to solve his anger management, it can be considered as AA for anger management. Main girl changes from spoiled brat to an understanding not giving, thoughtful woman, 2nd lead San who stole Chanika's bf with lying to both sides, goes into depression and kills herself, the problem is Mint always plays the evil lady I think except one with Mark Prin, it's going to be hard to accept her as a good main lady if she ever plays the good character.. I also loved how Chanika fall in love with Chin. It didn't happen in one night, but at the end she fell in love with her husband and learned to trust her husband. And for a change a man who's willing to change for the woman he loves, not expecting her to change for him, in a way she has changed she's not the girl she was when she started to work for her husband, so unknowingly she has changed, he changed her in a good way, now he's ready to change for the woman he loves. Grate has a lovely smile whoever is the script write must know his gorgeous smile, they're using Chanika to tell in this lakorn how good his smile is and how he rarely uses it :D. Chin is also a man with a good heart, he changed his father in law's urine bag, tbh I don't I'd have done it, changing someone's urine bag, that's not blood related. But he has anger issues, he's like a walking bomb ready to explode any time. A moral message here, it's been given over San, if you take something - someone doesn't belong to you someone will come and take it from you. If you break a family - relationship you'll never have your own.. I'm giving the most evil lady award to Ameena, she's jumping to one man to another another man.. Proper gold digger.. She tried every single man to see who she can get.. At least Chin was not a type of a guy who'd fall into Ameena's traps. He was strong on that side. Well both husband and wife is temperamental, I admit Chin is worse but Chanika is also temperamental, I guess this temperamental & jealousy thing runs in the family, as San is also an extreme side, I don't really blame San, as there is Sin who's trying to get her bf, she took her best friend's bf so she sort of knows how your loved one can slip off from your hands on the hands of another woman. Chin's mom given him the biggest punishment by telling him that his wife had a miscarriage, while she didn't had one, it was for him to change his behaviours, not to be this temperamental. I love the mothers in this lakorn, Chin's mother was so against Chanika but when she realised that she's not a bad woman, she accepted her, and she supported her daughter in law, Ameena admitted to her mother that she's not pregnant with Pat, she doesn't know who the father of her baby. ( umm it's not my business but you're a grown up lady why didn't you use protection, perils of unprotected sex lol) when San killed herself she was pregnant with Pan.Chin is upset by his behaviours he still thinks he is responsible from the death of his unborn baby. His mother is also no longer soft and forgiving towards him. We can't really call this a slap kiss drama, as our lady never resists to his kisses , he was on her lips whenever he finds a chance, for him he's doing it to punish her lol :D ahahh yes yes dear you do it to punish her. Tong was sharp he understood that Chanika didn't have a miscarriage

At least on the funeral she admitted in front of everyone that She's not pregnant with Pan, she only used his name to find a father to the baby in her stomach, she and her mother been asked to leave and never come back.

I love how they use Karma in Thai lakorns, I believe in Karma..

We also had a chance to learn that Chin didn’t rape Siri, she had leukaemia, and she was in love with him, when he didn’t respond to her love she blamed Chin and killed herself.

I can't say I liked the OST, it was not as great as on the other lakorns, I was expecting a better one but it was not interesting.

I haven't laughed this hard in quite a while. The plot wasn't the most original or complicated but it didn't matter. Simplicity was key for this movie. It didn't need to be hard to understand, all it had to do was make the viewer smile, laugh and maybe even forget about their troubles - and it got the job done.

The casting for this movie was perfect. Kang Ha Neul and Park Seo Joon just work SO WELL together. As reluctant police academy students, they were the best of bros and I was 100% here for it. Ki Joon and Hee Yeol's brain-brawn dynamic made for a wild ride, and I can't think of anyone else that would have delivered like these two did. They played off of each other, and after hearing that they ad-libbed quite a bit during the movie I was sold -- that friendship did not seem like acting at all. The bromance was so strong in this.

Midnight Runners was a great example of what a buddy-cop movie should be (though if you want a super serious police procedural, this isn't it). It balanced Ki Joon and Hee Yeol's light, easygoing antics with the gross (and tbh, kind of scary) villains. Also, it was INFURIATING, and I do mean infuriating at one part. I mean, ignoring a very real, serious issue just because protocol had to be followed?? I was about to tear my hair out. It was so, so frustrating.

Midnight Runners' only issue is that the action doesn't really pick up until around the second half of the movie. The beginning is more of a buildup of Ki Joon and Hee Yeol's dynamic, which I'm not complaining about, but the actual conflict doesn't really begin until about an hour into the movie.

Overall, Midnight Runners was a solid film. It's not anything heavy, and I can definitely think of worse ways to spend 1hr 50min. Even if cop movies aren't really your thing, the bromance and the way the two leads build off of each other is worth watching.

This is a melodrama with a rom-com shroud. It is supposedly like the Korean sex and the city, with 4 women leading different lives. There are some cute scenes but not enough.

Acting: The two main leads both have very natural acting talents. The second male lead's acting is too stiff and thus made for a pretty boring love triangle storyline. Surprise cameo was a riot!

Story: I enjoyed watching the various versions of marriage/dating throughout the drama. I also really liked Jung Kyung Ho's character as a single dad. If only all single dads were this perfect! Unfortunately, the story dragged, especially in the middle of the drama. If this drama was shortened to 8 episodes with 2 focused on each couple, it would have been ideal.

Overall, a good watch for when you are bored and want some cute romance but don't expect your socks to be knocked off. The entire cast is as good looking as they come so it's worth it for just watching all the handsome men and women in this drama!

This is a watchable melodrama with very little sub-plots.

The BGM really resembled that of Healer's, which I enjoyed. The acting by the leads was top notch. I watched this for the romance and not for the business / corporate takeover aspects. The beginning of the drama had a good story flowing but became a mess towards the end of the drama as the writers tried to wrap everything up neatly in the last 2 episodes. However, the ending felt rushed and as a viewer, I felt robbed of the potential cute romantic scenes between the leads... I would have been more satisfied if I got to watch more cute scenes by the leads.
