"Woman of Dignity became one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history"

to be honest when I first read this title it didn't really affect me because I never believed that high ratings = great drama but since I love KHS I thought why not watch at least I'll enjoy KHS beauty & I'm happy I didn't miss this great drama I'll get into details with no spoilers at all so read it with no worries :)

What I liked about this drama:

1- It's not your typical drama in terms of story, acting or even characters. we have two female leads that are the main story in the drama with supporting characters that each have a story of their own just as fun as the main story with everything connected to each other I usually get bored of dramas that focus mainly on the female & male leads so this was such a fun drama for me.

2- It gets better with time, 20 Ep was a scary thing for me since usually the last episodes would get draggy but that wasn't the case with this drama thankfully, it gets better and it's just so fun that you won't be skipping anything.

3- I liked the light comedy that was added to the story mainly by Jung Sang Hoon, the humor was such a breath of fresh air in this somehow tense drama

I feel like if I write more I would end up with spoiler so that's it a small review about Woman of Dignity I hope you enjoyed reading it .

I loved this so much its very refreshing, but frustrating at the same time, because of the main characters that you are rooting with every episode for the girl to stop being a push over and too nice, and the guy stop being such a asshole. But this the story is so good, because they both are thrown into something with no love and to see this build and then change. I like the way the story keeps on growing on you per episode, with very sad things, misunderstandings, happiness and comedic relief when its needed for the drama to have a perfect balance. One thing I wasn't expecting were the twist they made after halfway through the series that just refresh the story and revive it again in a new light, I would truly recommend this for any who loves romantic dramas.

This is basicly a ER story it evolves around the the main characters with medical related issues. I liked the hospital theme and patients stories, but to me they focus too much on it that the love story fells flat and very slow pace with the main characters love on the side line and the live problems of them more on the forefront. I was dissapointed that the supporting roles although great through the series at the last episodes are unresolved at just left unfinished. I really liked the story but they should have make it more appealing and not rushed the love part in the last episode, which leaves this drama as just a medical drama with a splash of romance and more life lessons.

I've watched all the "Kiss" dramas from the 1996 drama and including the anime. In every drama I've watched (Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese, Thailand, etc), the male lead has always been pleasing to the eyes. I don't find the male lead in this drama as handsome--I found the actor playing Ah Jin to be more handsome and a better actor. I also found the female lead in this drama extremely irritating; she was beyond stupid most of the time and her acting was very childlike.

The writers did try to change the story up some from the ones before it, but most of the time it was silly and didn't make much sense. This drama had no real meat to it. This one doesn't come close to "It Started With A Kiss."

Oh my gosh. I love this drama sooo much! It's insanely funny, beautifully deep, and the characters are written so realistically and lovably.  It's so much fun! Also, guess what? It doesn't get boring even though it's over 16 episodes.

I love how the writers just throw you into the drama without hesitation. The first episode may seem a bit hard to keep track of but this is what makes it so good. It's okay if you are a little confused as to how all the characters are connected, just go with the flow. I was immediately intrigued with each character introduced which was honestly quite a few. I have to sincerely congratulate every one of the actors because no matter how small the role I enjoyed the presence of each actor immensely and they each brought their own interesting and individual contributions to a drama full of wonderful characters. I also loved the story of this drama and the issues that were dealt with. I love when occupations play a part in dramas and this drama intertwines the stress and behind the scenes at broadcasting stations in a way that always had my heart racing either out of excitement or anxiousness. I also appreciated the issues that were brought up such as male breast cancer (I would name other issues dealt with but I don't want to spoil anything) and the way in which the issues were presented. The parts of the drama that were meant to be sad, were truly very heartbreaking, but this drama manages to keep the comedy going and never lets you feel dragged down for long as there's a good balance between the serious and comedic moments.

Jo Jung Suk does not disappoint which I already knew from having watched him in Oh My Ghostess and You're the Best Lee Soon Shin. His character is beautifully flawed. Hwa Shin is egotistical, rough, insecure, and proud but somehow his character manages to be so incredibly lovable. Jo Jung Suk has this presence that makes his characters so interesting and entertaining. Sometimes I would just laugh out loud because of a facial expression! Gong Hyo Jin I wasn't as sure about going into this one because although I liked her I hadn't really seen her in all that much but she is officially my favorite female actress. Pyo Na Ri is a character who is refreshing in and of herself but I struggle to picture any other actress portraying her in quite as likable of a light as Gong Hyo Jin did. Go Kyung Pyo I had only ever seen in Flower Boy Next Door and I didn't really remember him much from that but I truly appreciate him as an actor now. Go Jung Won was a very likable character as he was pretty close to perfect but I think the writers did a good job of making his character mildly annoying later on which I think helps support Hwa Shin with Pyo Na Ri. I also was greatly amused/entertained by the fights/struggles between Ppal gang's moms and loved their heated interactions and their bonding moments. Oh and Beomi is so fricken cute like omigosh I wanted to pinch his lil face!

I noticed comments saying that the drama didn't do a good job of maintaining a balance between storylines but I disagree because part of the beauty of this drama is in the way it is laid out. The fact that sometimes certain storylines overtake others or that the balance shifts throughout the drama is what makes it so fresh and entertaining. I never found myself contemplating when they were going to go back to the main couple or when they were gonna address the supporting characters or sidestorys like I have found myself doing in so many other slow paced dramas because of how engrossing the main couples relationship was. Plus, as much as I liked the supporting characters, which was a lot because they were amazing, the main couples story was just so well done and exciting that it wouldn't have made sense for the writers to take time away from them to address a pretty typical high school relationship. I liked Chi Yeol, Dae Goo and Ppal Gang, but I was so much more invested in Pyo Na Ri, Lee Hwa Shin, and Go Jeong Won  so to me I felt like the writers were smart to shift the focus to them once the drama started getting more intense. Everything that needed to be addressed got addressed! And even though not everyone got their "perfect fairy tale ending," I think it was more than fitting where all the characters stories ended and I didn't feel cheated one bit at the end.

So I could go on and on but I'll stop now realizing that I already have. I would STRONGLY recommend this to anyone who loves a wonderfully strong cast, interesting supporting characters as well as amazing leads, perfectly timed comedy and music (I loved every track and still listen to them), great chemistry and romance, and unique issues that are dealt with in a deep way. Honestly it's one of my all time favorite dramas.

Hands down to the creators of this movie! Unparalleled ang cinematography, ang pagkakahagod ng lente ng camera sa bawat eksena, the settings was just like directors-dream-setup, the actors are purely rare and good, the storyline did just included "designing" onto the script, amazing movie!

This is a classic example of an average drama redeemed by a great cast. SWDBS had serious plot issues: whole plotlines were improperly developed, stunted or abandoned sans resolution; many main characters were seriously two dimensional; the humor was (literally) crappy at times; and there were too many unnecessary storylines/characters unnecessarily taking up screen time that could have been better utilized fleshing out the main characters and their motivations. I'll confess I skipped whole sections even in my first run through and didn't feel like I'm missing anything.

BUT..... (and this is where the drama rocked) the charismatic cast, ESPECIALLY HYUNSIK (more on him later) took what they had and RAN with it, leaving me giggling, squealing and marathon-ing the episodes (along with multiple replays of probably every scene with Hyung Sik/ CEO Ahn)....

Min-Min and Bong-Bong made me feel like kawaii hearts were flying off my screen every time they came on despite one of my pet peeves in a romantic pairing: one partner being noticeably more invested in the relationship than the other. Though Bong Soon makes up for it somewhat in the penultimate episodes, I was left with the feeling that the romantic balance was off. Which was especially sad because the losing half was my main reason for sitting through this drama.

Which brings us to this drama's STRONG point as far as I'm concerned: A heart-melting, squeal-inducing, cuddle-worthy PARK HYUNG-SIK as the strongly individualistic and swooningly vulnerable Ahn Min Hyuk. I've had a soft spot for him since his Heirs days (he and Woo Bin redeemed that otherwise cringe-worthy drama for me) and his performance here has made me want to try Hwarang, which I'd dropped after the initial 10 minutes. If he continues like this Hyungsik could end second only to Ji Chang Wook in my heart's (giant) kdrama soft corner. He still has a long way to go before he even comes close to JCW's triple crown (Healer-K2-Suspicious Partner) splendor, but I'm cautiously looking forward to his next project.

Oh. My. God. This show is so ridiculously bad, I'm not even mad anymore.

What's worse is that I think I actually may have enjoyed it instead.

Game Rai Game Rak, like almost all Lakorns comes with its fair share of bullshit. You've got an old Island crone whose eyes turn bright blue everytime she sees the future (which ofcourse is completely irrelevant to the plot), you've got a one-dimensional villain, a nasty insecure bitch of a relative who basically destroys lives left and right but somehow has a change of heart in the last ten minutes of the show, wins everyone over and sets off in the sunset without ever having to pay for her crimes.

You've got a selfless and highly forgiving damsel in distress who's constantly being sexually, physically and mentally harassed by our main lead who misunderstands her because of trusting the lies his worst enemy fed him.
Not the brightest tool in the shed, I tell you.

Ofcourse there is always that one guy who is like a brother to our heroine (however always conveniently having waaay more skinship than normal siblings have) who inspires jealousy and possessiveness in the male lead who then proceeds to humiliate the heroine by calling her a slut and whatnot. We also can't possibly forget the one or two or in this case, three other guys who're interested in the female lead and are so insignificant, they might as well be invisible.

Everything is overdramatic and over the top. Rape gets romanticized like nobody's business. People get shot and catch bullets on the daily. Corny dialogues flow out like bad breath everytime someone opens their mouth. Obnoxious music starts playing every ten minutes; effectively swiping away any sincerity that the show managed to portray. Scenes are constantly repeated and the plot-line soon gets derivative.
In short, it's an honest to God definition of a hot mess.

But then again, nobody watches Lakorns for a solid story, well developed characters or a good plot with lack of loopholes. No, people mostly watch Lakorns because they're the classic guilty pleasures and because they get the chemistry between characters spot-on.

Game Rai Game Ruk is no different, which is why despite everything, I still watched it to the end.

This is the third Thai drama starring Yaya, that I have watched and unsurprisingly she impressed me once again. Her acting is always a 100% genuine and the characters she brings to life are so hard not to love.

Game Rai Game Rak is very very similar to Kleun Cheewit; having an almost identical feel at times, but where Jeerawat was a fierce and fearless woman, Fahlada radiates innocence. She's pure, delicate and basically the classic good girl- all the while, successfully staying far away from the 'kind but dumb' category everybody hates.

However, as adorable as she is, I feel that if you don't like YaYa you might not like Fahlada either. In Kleun Cheewit, I started to love the actress because of the drama and her role in it but in GRGR, I liked the drama only because I loved the actress and if I had seen this drama first I might've never adored Urassaya as much as I do now.

After watching this drama I finally understand why Yaya and Nadech are such a big deal in Thai entertainment industry. Their chemistry is absolutely electric and while I did feel that Nadech has a short emotional range as an actor, I believe this was one of his best roles.

From start to finish, it's impossible to hate Saichon. Even when things get ugly and he acts like an ultimate creep by smelling Fah's hair when she isn't looking, taking pictures of her when she's unaware, spying on her with a telescope, tying her up again and again and degrading her, (there's always the unforgivable and romanticised implied rape and all the other times he makes her cry and do things without her will) the reason you can't hate him is because of their sweet as hell moments in the island and the surety that no matter how rotten he acts he still deeply loves Fahlada.

The ultimate on-his-knees groveling session at the end and the fact that Fahlada hits him quite a lot all the time really does help his case furthur and to be honest, even though I am highly unforgiving of assholes there was never a moment where I didn't root for them to be together.

So all in all, Game Rai Game Rak is the kind of show that you can only watch while being extremely lenient 'cause the moment you start to notice all that is wrong with it, you'll start hating it. While I reccomend this for a good time-pass, personally, I skipped and fastforwarded a lot of scenes because, as the show progresses the episodes begin to be filled with more of the same thing. So even if it is skipped a bit, it won't effect the over-all watching experience.

Your classic bad boy-good girl story that you'll love to hate and hate to love and unfortunately do both by the end.

Enjoy!

I didn't expect a lot but I was still disappointed. There were parts that could've been introduced in the earlier episodes but it was only revealed in the last episode. The execution was bad.

It's so dragging it makes you wonder why a particular scene was shown only as the show was about to end. You could probably understand the story by just watching recaps of it. You would ask yourself "why did this happen only now?" "this should've happened earlier!" things like that.

Do not watch this if you don't want to waste your time. I myself am surprised i was able to watch until the 14th episode. The OST was actually good.

first of all they should name it (the weepy characters) Or (W.C's family) LOL

lets start
this drama really at the beginning i found it interesting
new kind of romance
it was family romance more than couples i don't mind something new
& then it gets down the hill as usual & the plot becomes sucks
& what the hell the wrong with choi jung face expressions it's all the same miserable expression for all different situations like a small dog lost in the rain
i found her doesn't suit the role at all
at the same time i've to admit that the children acting was brilliant

SPOILER

i found there were many flaws like
* how come the grandpa didn't ask jin pal once why they left the house although he owned it ?
*how come suddenly Won joon forgot about jung jae after all those years
and found him self loving jin pal
i could understand his situation if he wasn't in love with her since they were adolescents
*how come such a selfish person like jung jae surrender like that without any introductions
& also decided to change completely 180% in just less than 10 min. at the last ep. with out any hint
*how come she was slapping every one without being slapped once for what she did
* it was illogical that they discovered that jin pal his grand-daughter in such a way
...............
how come won kang slapped jin pal without knowing any thing & he didn't even try to apologize & she accepted that normally although jung jae did lots of disasters that he should slapped her for but he didn't even think about it
i don't encourage violence against Women but i discuss what the writer did cause he pissed me off so

& the part of kidnapping was really unnecessary as if the writer remember to enter action at the last time just to fill the show

i found the show empty without strong plot it was really promising when jin pal decided to move to won kang house i thought it would be really amazing story then suddenly the writer decided to make all the men at the house fall for her ~.~ (REALLY!!!!)

and the character development of jin pal was SHIT she still till the end weak with passivity character
accepted humiliation & took it for granted

i am so disappointed specially with the end i saw it meaningless, lukewarm & provoking
the show could end just with 16 ep.

P.S: till the end i was in love with Shin Dong he was soooo kind, caring, generous & lovely character

Surprisingly refreshing drama!

Completely resonated with me as someone in the late 20s/30s striving for her dreams. Don't let the summary mislead you, as it did for me. This is a drama about friendship and love. This is about living in reality, while still looking toward your dreams.

I fell in love with the characters in this drama because they are so relatable. The two main leads share a great chemistry, as they progressed from friendship to romantic love. I really liked how the drama depicted the relationship's initial awkwardness as they transitioned - very totally cute scenes. The acting was great as I was sucked in every single time. I also enjoyed the depiction of lifelong friendships between the four main leads, and the friendship between the parents as well!

Use of music was great, as the background music made me crack up many times. Also, I liked how the product placement wasn't completely obvious and was very artfully placed in the drama.

All the subplots and main plot was wrapped up very nicely in the end, which made for a satisfying ending.

I was a bit apprehensive before starting this series because some of the reviews are not good. But in the end I’m thankful that I started this. I actually read the novel first before watching the series. They have their similarities and differences but each has their own merits.

The story is about loving and trusting someone amidst the differences, the odds and the trials. The storyline is common but the execution is great so you will enjoy the series.
The fighting scenes are one of the best that I’ve seen so far.

The actors were able to portray their role well, especially the both the lead actors. They have chemistry and good in what they do so they were able to relay the characters love, loyalty to their belief and angst to it and the outside interference.

The only thing that I don’t like about this series is that they shoot most of the scene in the studio, or the lighting is off so the actor and the background scene doesn’t blend well especially during the night scenes but aside from that the series is great.

Additional info: the difference between the novel and series are listed below. I won’t list all of it, only the important one… well, what is important in my point of view anyway… ;-)
Some of it may be considered a spoiler but maybe not, although I will focus my comment on the novel. :-)
1. In the novel since the beginning it was already known that chu bei jie is the brother of the king of Jin state.
2. There is no noble consort zhang in the novel, so the one that plot against ping ting is the queen.
3. In the novel chu bei jie just went into seclusion after he found out that ping ting died and he left his other sword with yang feng. Although I love what they did to the drama…
4. In the novel, bei jie first believe that ping ting betray him so he punished her by being indifferent for a few months.
5. The most important difference between the two is the final chapter or maybe it wasn’t just fully explained in the series. In the novel when all the other army rally against He Xia, they ask Chu Bei Jie what will be the name of the army, would they call it prince of zhenbei’s army. He didn’t agree with it because he said he will be like He Xia that wants to conquer the world. He named it Tings Army (from Ping Ting’s name) because it represents that they are fighting for their love ones. To free their love ones from oppression because he promised ping ting a peaceful world. And in the end they united the four state and rename it Tings country because nobody conquered anyone so no state is above the other. Isn’t he sweet? Imagine naming the whole country for Ping Ting! ;-)

The leading characters were so unlikeable. The female protagonist was a crybaby and couldn't stand on her own two feet. The male protagonist was immature, dumb and arrogant. Sure anyone can have these traits, but there was barely any character development for either the main female or male protagonists throughout the whole series, which frustrated me endlessly. One of the most liked characters for me was Cha Eun Sang's mum (AND SHE WAS MUTE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD). I also really liked Lee Hyo-Shin, Yoon Chan-Young, Lee Bo-Na and even Rachel Yoo. They are the supporting characters yet they had greater character development and were more likeable than the main characters. The cast and the actors' performances were superb but the script and storyline really let them down. The only promising part in this whole series was when the story started to pick up its pace around Episode 11 but then went downhill towards the end. Overall, the whole plot was boring and borderline annoying. The music choice was okay only because I love FTISLAND's song. I hate the fact that songs cued at wrong times throughout the series. Some melodramatic moments in the series were cringey enough - I didn't need to hear an out-of-place song to top it all off. All in all, what a waste of an attractive drama poster and an amazing cast. I wanted to give this an overall lower score but I respect the actors' performances and their hard work. I'm glad I didn't drop this series and forced myself to complete it because now I am CONVINCED that this drama is a huge disappointment.

Mostly I watch dramas to fill up my free time and feed myself with a dose of romace, comedy or thrill of emotion. This time, for all those 10 hours I've had that weird feelings of unease, pity and anger. But don't get me wrong... These are feeling you definitely should have while watching "Haha ni naru".

This drama is not something easy to watch. We follow the story of a married couple, whose son is kidnapped at the age of 3. Nine years later they find out, that their child is alive and was raised by another woman. Couple have him back but as you probably can tell, it's not easy for anyone to adapt to this situation.

At some points while watching "Haha ni naru" I was screaming with anger. All I was thinking was that I want to get into my TV and punch some of those people in the face. But it's not because drama was bad or actors was awful. It's because it was good enough to make me feel emotions of characters and put myself in their place. Even though I don't really understand some of their choices, what made me sad and angry at the same time.

"Haha ni naru" is really good drama. It's not something you will have fun and lots of laugh with but it's something really worth watching. If only because of excellent Sawajiri Erika and Koike Eiko.

This drama is outstanding. The characters and story line are well developed. This is one of the best comedy drama I have seen this year. This drama is super funny and heartwarming. I loved it. I especially loved "Chief Kim"(character), as well as the actor himself. I will watch this drama again.

If you are looking for laughter, humor, a good comedy story and great actors; you must watch this drama. Believe me it will raise your spirits and put you in a great mood. Laughter is the greatest medicine of them all.
