Funny and with good action scenes, this movie had it all, action, comedy, romance and mystery. The story is very clever, with a paid assassin loosing his memory after falling down in a public bathroom. It's nice to watch the assassin trying to fit in his new life and succeeding becoming a famous actor, when the other man tiptoes around the assassin's costumers and tries to save of his potential victims. Some of the scenes were very humane, others too comical and others too unreal. The performances were the key point of success of this movie, as it supported the whole story and made it entertaining and looking believable. Though, still, there were some clichés and boring scenes, which made me give this movie 7 out of 10.

Okay, I don't really remember most of the movie. But for what I can recall, it was about a girl who looked like a boy and a boy who looked like a girl. In addition, the boy was conquered by his fellow male classmates, just like the girl, who was in a popular rock band, had lots of female fans who adored her. In a weird way (okay, not so weird for a movie adapted by a manga series), the boy falls for the girl, but the girl isn't that easily convinced. So, the boy does everything to make her like him, including dressing up like a girl and sneaking into her all girls school. So, the movie had some major issues, and not just the obvious gender bender confusion (I mean, okay the boy kind of looked like a girl, but he was all okay with everyone wanting him to be their girlfriend? He obviously wasn't gay, neither were the other boys, at least that's what they claimed, so why he put up with it?). The romance was seriously weak, though it was interesting at first to watch the guy trying to get the girl's attention. Plus, the action was kind of boring, with the jokes not being that funny and some of the scenes trying way to much to resemble a manga. So, 3 out of 10.

I've watched some seriously bad japansese romantic comedies in the past, but this one is for sure not one of them. Even my sister, who hates these kind of films, said that it was okay, so I'll roll with it. The movie has many layers. And, although, the romance wasn't that good, the whole friendship and past love tragedy was very interesting and presented nicely. The performances were really good, especially from the korean leading lady, whose performance was very emotional. Being a fan of Kento, of course I would have watched this movie just for him, but this is not one of the typical manga like cheesy movies. Sure, some parts were a little corny, but the whole Korean Japanese cultural difference and the constant mentions to movie scenes were entertaining. So, 7 out of 10.

As much as I love some of the actors in this one, unfortunately, the story was too ordinary and boring. I wish the twists weren't that obvious, because at least that way it would have been easier to skip the boring parts and give this one more than 2 stars out of 10. But, in the end, it was a school movie about young talents who work together to support their school.

My first ever Japanese drama was like a shoujo movie mixed with a nice k drama like ending. The story was cute and sweet, the romance okay and the twists interesting. The best thing, however, about this drama was the great scenery. Every place that they visited was beautiful, with the sea side and the summer atmosphere. The cooking scenes were nicely executed, without showing the characters as armatures or that the dishes were already made and the actors just added a few touched here and there. The romance was nice, though the love triangle weak and it only happened towards the end. But because the drama didn't focus mostly on the romantic story, and added depth regarding each character and their personality, it helped it to avoid being boring. The ending was classic cheesy cliché airport ending, which didn't have any originality. Finally, the performances were really good, supporting the drama greatly. So, 7 out of 10.

Boss & Me is amazing. I loved the plot and the actors as well as the pacing. It was fun and realistic at some points. At others it was a little.... over the top in situations where the poor girl meets the super rich conglomerate owner. Don't get me wrong I love the formula. It works and they did it well.

The romance is a wonderful and engaging part of the drama but its not all we as viewers can look forward to. There is also the familial relations, friendships, work life, career advancements, growth of characters in a realistic natural way. The growth had an amazing pace. Also even though second leads tend to get crazy I liked how they laid out the actors in those positions.
There wasn't really a big bad in this series which is actually pretty good. I mean not really any office politics in an overbearing way. It was going over relationships, how they progress, what happens when problems arise, how they deal with issues, growing in their relationships.
It was wrapped up very well in a timely fashion, no loose ends.

The length of the drama may seem long but it's not that bad. It keeps one's attention and it's a decent drama to watch as a marathon.
This drama to date is one of my most memorable and favorite dramas to re-watch. It deserves a chance of up to at least episode 6, then make your decision. In the first episode if it doesn't already have you fully engaged all that's needed is some amazing plot foundation.
Enjoy Boss & Me AKA Shan Shan Comes to Eat :D

so far (14/20).... it's quite similar to the Korean version, with of course, it's original twists...

I've read some of the Goong manhwa, and I wont complain and say the Prince (Inn) is just the same jerk as Goong (both the manhwa and the Korean adaptation) .. he kinda HAS to be in order to stick to the original manhwa...

but I will say... its cute, it has it's nice moments, and the evil Queen (holy guac, that lady should be asked to play a Disney villain) she's so great for the part.. but doesn't fit in with the rest of the characters... her acting stands out the most, it's too forced, and too wicked, not to mention her makeup always looks flawless!

Other than this observation.. I have found the series so far.. (14/20) to be kinda super extremely slow pace, but maybe I'm not being patient enough.

Personally had fun watching this short series. I found this hella funny, thanks to the narcissistic general and of course to Korea's top star, Song Su Jeong. The chemistry between the main leads were great! I'm so happy I got to see them again on screen after we got married.
Acting of the casts were good, except there were times where for Jong Hyun's sad scenes, I can't help but cringe/can'thelpbutsmile. Nonetheless, I think Seung Yeon portrayed her character very well and I was surprised with Jae Jin! OMG! Never knew he can act! FT Island baby is still as cute as before

I found this by accident on Amazon Prime Video. It's quite a surprise. It's a good movie imo. It's worth checking it out if you are into Samurai Period dramas. It's not an action movie though.

The cinematography is great, acting is good, but really hard to judge because the movie is set within a movie/drama setting (if that makes sense).

The main actor doesn't speak much because he's been a side actor his whole life (both in the movie and in real life). The main actress is great though. She actually is a skilled chinese sword practitioner.

I think it's mislabeled as a "Documentary", but there is some insight in the movie on how Japanese period dramas are made. It also shows the life of "extras".

So, it's been a minute sense I've completed a Kamen Rider series. My first was Kamen Rider 555 and I thoroughly enjoyed that one because the tone was more serious/mature. I immediately went in search of more Kamen series with a serious feel and found the ones I tried to be lacking. I did discover GARO and that was an awesome ride.

I stumbled across Kamen Rider Amazons recently and decided to give it a try because the synopsis caught my interest. I'm so glad I did. This series is exactly what I've been looking for since KR555 - fun, but mature and not cheesy.

The characters are complex. Even though I don't always agree with their actions, I like that they are flawed and dealing with serious issues. The transformations are great and I think the story progresses nicely. In essence, the Amazons and humans are basically on a journey to figure out what makes you human and is being human in direct conflict with being an Amazon or sympathizing with their struggle.

I think my only complaint is that I would have liked more screen time for the female characters. They are all interesting and really tough in their own right. Hopefully season 2 delivers on that front. I think if you're a fan of the Kamen Rider franchise, you'll be happy with this one.

This review may contain spoilers
If you want to watch this drama, be ready for an emotional rollercoaster! This is the first drama that makes me cry a lot, but also laugh a lot. It combines both dramatic and funny elements wonderfully.

Spoilers ahead:

The cast and acting were A+!! I was really happy to see Sungjae in a drama and I'm so happy he was such a great actor! I usually am a little skeptical when I see idol actors because I've seen some who weren't that good, but he was really great and I'm happy for him!
Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook were exceptional! While I wasn't that impressed with Lee Dong Wook's acting in Hotel King, I found it to be exceptional in this drama and I feel like he improved a lot! His friendship with the goblin was hilarious and wonderful, I loved it!
This is the first drama with Kim Go Eun I watch and she was great, I think she did a good job and I will surely watch other dramas in which she played!
Before Goblin, I knew Gong Yoo from Coffee Prince and I can't say I had any opinion on him, but after this, I'm in love! His ability of conveying emotion is fantastic!
I know Yoo In Na from 'My Love From Another Star' and I couldn't really form an opinion on her, especially since I can't say I was impressed with her acting, but I really liked her in this drama!
The subject was a new an interesting one for me, but I couldn't really understand why he was cursed even after she pulled the sword out and summoned him back. I would have expected him to age again, but idk. And if you think about the fact that he's cursed to lose her in all of her 4 lives and then never meet her again, it makes it even sadder!
Overall, it was a wonderful drama and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Based on the first 4 episodes, this drama is very different from other Thai dramas which i watch, the series features 4 different sports, namely Volleyball, Badminton, Skateboard and Archery. This Spike edition focuses on Volleyball, despite Singha's sudden departure from Theppanya to St Sebastian. Than (whom is Singha's replacement quickly gel with the team especially with Puen who isn't friendly towards him. Than's never give up spirit and determination made Puen realises that he need to put their feud past and focus on winning in beating St Sebastian (whom Singha is in). Music wise is very different from other dramas, is a must watch for Volleyball supporters. 10/10

(the overall review was a deduction or summary of ll the other reviews below me)
1. story the story from my point of view was okay from the first 32 episodes but then all of the sudden the plot fell apart which distroyed my interest in the whole story ( am keeping the review short)

2. the acting for me was very poor the actors weren't interacting at all luhan was meant to play a pure and honesty and modest role but as i watched the story develop the love just seemed a bit.. fake the love didn't take time to develop they just out of no where feel in love . as for the actress bextiyar gulnezer is a very good actor as i admire her from "chinese paladin 5" and " the classic of the mountains and seas"
but this was not one of her best works so i rate it 7.5.

3. though i never really payed attention to the music in chinese dramas the music was i bit different from the fantasy element and story of the theme but i added all the reviews for the music and multiplied it by how many people that reviewed the drama below and got 11.5 and i ration the number to what i think it should get is 6.5

4. i never rewatched the drama because the story element fell apart during ep 32-the end

5. overall i got 6.5

Chicago Typewriter is a show that epitomizes slow and steady character development. Though the plot goes back and forth from present-day South Korea to 1930s Korea under Japanese rule, the story is fairly easy to follow with minimal twists and turns in the first few episodes. Since I have an interest in stories based in the early 20th century and didn't have much knowledge of Japan's occupation of Korea, I found the past plotline to be intriguing to watch and learn from. I think I was an even bigger fan of the past plot because this particular period isn't often found in Korean dramas (at least based on my experience in the K-drama-sphere), so it was in a way, a breath of fresh air. Romance, action, and comedy are often exhibited in Korean dramas, and Chicago Typewriter is no exception. It does not solely focus on one of these three typical genres over another, rather the show has a small, balanced slice of each. What the drama focuses most on is the character development and the characters' relationships, mostly the friendship exhibited between the three main characters. The soundtrack and score blends quite well with the complications and emotions of the trio's friendship (i.e. ranging from "sublime reminiscing/remembering" to deep sorrow to pure joy). I've rewatched bits and pieces of the drama, the poignant and most memorable scenes, rather than rewatched the show's entirety; in doing so, I've realized that being well-aware of what will happen made the story appear much slower for me. I would definitely recommend Chicago Typewriter to close friends who value and appreciate steady character development and a well thought-out storyline over big and bold action and romance.

I had been anticipating it since months and forgot about it when the wait got too long. So I just saw it was subbed now and decided to watch it since I had a bit of time. Honestly, I did a good choice.
this movie is just wonderful. Or should I say, beautiful. Because yes, everything in this movie is beautiful. The acting, the story, the setting (omg this island is so beautiful!!), ...
I was a bit reluctant at first because I knew it would be a total surreal story but since I like Kang dong won I decided to still watch it; and actually, yes it's fantasy but it's a beautiful fantasy. The ending fits well. The fantasy was handed really well and its scene were really beautiful. (Am I repeating myself? Nope. It's beautiful, im telling you! )
Story: like I said, it was perfect. I was afraid that it would get boring (2h+ of movie, come on!) but It wasn't at all. The pace was good and made you feel the emotions really well.
Acting: perfect. Even the little boy were very good at acting. The little girl was especially good too!
Music: it was quite good.none of the soundtrack especially marked me, But it fit really well the movie, adding tension when you need it, etc. Maybe a little more would've been nice!
Rewatch value: I'll probably watch it. No, certainly I will watch it again; but probably after some time.

Anyway, it's one of those long movie that gets you all emotional (or not) with a bit of supernatural. If you're a Kang dong won fan, a supernatural-related things fan or someone who loves that kind of long movie that makes you forget everything else, then watch it!
The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was that it didn't hit me in DA FEELS that much. But that could be only a personal feeling so just judge by yourself :)
