Storywise, I think this is beautiful and teaches two of the most applicable lessons that everyone ought to practice in keeping a relationship--every bit of honesty and good communication.

Seriously, if they talked out their problems honestly to each other, Shao Yi Chen won't need to go ten years back in his life. Ugh, but that would mean no hot kisses. NOOO! Hahahahaha!

At first, one could see loopholes dropped after every scene, "why's" just add up, and there were no signs for answers at all.

Then, one gets puzzled as to how exactly did Jin Teng end up breaking Yi Chen's heart? But one can have so many speculations that anything would just add more loopholes to that towering pile of loopholes.

Finally, in the most cringe-worthy dialogue delivered by that not-so-wretched-witch pops the single most justifiable reason to this Chinese-style dilemma.

So, loopholes are slowly patched up, "why's" are replaced with "that's why's". Then, one gets treated with the hottest, most enticing eye candy in BL history (so far); tricking the viewer's mind into thinking that this is the best installment among the three because of this particular scene when in fact the real reason is overshadowed, hidden in the open and unnoticed--every bit of honesty and good communication. Tadaaaaa!

Hahaha, sorry, I know that's confusing but it was just so hard for me to make a review on this story without spoiling anything. "Only in ambiguity did one think one can truly express the beauty of this piece of art." LOL!

Oh, and in case you're wondering why I gave 7.5 to the story when I'm gushing about its beauty, it's because the entity of the story itself is very simple (plus, I watched that BL movie "Rebirth" before this so the premise came off a bit mundane). The dialogues and the ACTORS did it for me (with emphasis to the word actors because that witch made me cringe, ugh!)

Kudos to the main actors, their chemistry was really good... no, better... okay, best. If I weren't so biased, I'd say theirs is better than Timmy and Johnny's. But, I have a loyal heart. So, they tied with Singto and Krist at second place. Oh, the acting... both were good, but if I were to choose the better one, I'd say it's Sen Bernard.

The story predominantly follows Shao Yi Cheng's POV, that said, it is easier to catch up with his emotional growth, and Ren You Cheng delivered the progress fairly. On the other hand, Jiang Jin Teng's character had two entirely different characteristics and it's hard to connect how one admirably quiet and mysterious hottie showed on the flashbacks be the same person as the obsessed hottie that can't seem to live without You Cheng. Sen Bernard did not only deliver the dialogue as written on the script, he also revealed that descriptive paragraph that holds the writer's view on destiny and true love. They were very subtle, and those almost unnoticed micro expressions just means so much.

This review is to praise Chiao Man Ting's character, Meng Meng.

Before her, Love Sick's Pang was my favorite fujoshi in a drama. I must give thanks to HiStory for introducing Meng Meng to the world. I won't actually do what she did, but I can just feel her when she was shipping those boys, and the satisfaction in witnessing that ship sailing. Sorry, but for me, the story was simple and made colorful by that rotten girl, her extreme imagination, and meddling attitude.

Nahhh... everything written above is unreliable. I'm just a BL fangirl, excited by another BL fangirl on screen. Hahaha!

If I were to be critical, I'd say that the premise has been re-used sooooo many times before, thus slightly deflating my bubble of excitement towards the drama. I love all three stories, but I have to say this garners least love, and yes, even though "least" and "love" don't make sense together, I'd put them next to each other just because I love this part of the trilogy as well, not as much as I love the other two, but I love it all the same, and "like" won't be enough to describe my fondness towards every story in this series.

Sorry, but there are just people like me who naturally complicates even the simplest of things.

I had no idea what this story was about. I watched it to scratch an itching boredom.

In the predictability meter, one would initially rate this very high. I, myself, grinned at how I thought I knew how the story would go. It was constantly light: nothing was totally aggravating nor was there something totally upsetting. One would get pissed at some point, but it'll just be like seeing a poop on your peaceful walk at the park--you see it, not step on it, and just continue walking. Then, you go back to that predictability meter and you'll find it static at 1%. Like, seriously, stop predicting the end and just enjoy the story.

The actors were good. I'm doing this review after watching all three stories, so I have done the "compare and contrast" among the actors. This gave the lightest feel among the three, but that doesn't mean the actors showed an inferior quality of acting. They delivered subtle acting without making me cringe and I think that's a good thing.

I have already watched this thrice and it still gives off that satisfying sigh followed by a lingering smile as the last episode's credit rolls. I don't think that happy aftermath would fade off even when I watch it a few more times. Wait, am I spoiling anything for you? Haha, the question is this... are you sure about your definition of a happy ending?

This was my first taiwanese drama after 2 years.. It's not the reviews that convinced me but the genre. As always, I'm a revenge-melo drama lover so when this show was still in it's early few episode, I've decided why not I give this drama a try. Who knows I might be like it. Now that I do. I did'nt just like the show. I LOVE IT. COMPLETELY. DEEPLY.

I will just give you all the reasons WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH BEHIND YOUR SMILE :

1) The intrigue plot of revenge. It's nothing original about it. You got a main male lead who was hellbent on taking revenge on people who had done wrong to his family and eventually lead to the death of his father. It was the only mission of his life provided that he successfully carried out his revenge. He since then become the Ice Prince, cold and heartless. Then our main heroin, the Warm-Hearted Princess came along into his life accidentally. She who since then melt his frozen heart and teach him how to smile again. The story sound so typical was'nt it? This no mistake was the foundation of the show but what made me fall in love with the show was how the story being directed and developed. There was nothing typical of it. It was addictive and compelling. Watch it if you want to know!

2) Good acting and great chemistry between leads. At first while watching Marcus Chang potraying Zhao Yi Ting, The Ice and Jerk Prince, I'm not so convincing. I noticed the awkwardness and it feel slightly fake. But as the show goes on, as I became more warm up to his character, I think that his acting became much better. He became better with his facial expressions even the subtle one. When he's in pained expression, I can feel it as my own. I can feel his heart breaking even when he wore a cold facade. I tell you that,if an actor manage to make the viewer feel that, He. Is. Really. A. Very. Good. Actor. And Liu Eugenie as Lei Xin Yue. Her character was annoying at first. Definitely became annoying and weak were her characters in the early of the show as the one who has been sheltered entire of her life and she did very good at that. Later on, she became the strong heroin that I want. She also shows that being strong is not when you let go of the person that you love but being able to forgive and hold on the person that you love even if he hurt you beyond reason because you can see the ways he love and take care of you more than the ways he hurts you. It sound dumb I know I know. But she really shows only those who have big heart can forgive people. :P

3) Very smart and wise male lead. This show have it. Zhao Yi Ting was never one step behind while dealing with his enemy. He is sensible and insightful. To have a revenge based drama, a smart and clever lead was a must. It is absolutely no fun in watching revenge show with dumb and slow-witted characters.

4) Good looking main leads. If you only watch the show with good looking leads. This show might be for you. At same point while watching the show in it's early episode, I even thought the 2nd male lead was much more good looking than the 1st male lead :P

5) No love triangle. If you hate a romance show with love triangle/ rectangle / polygon this might be the show for you. There was only one-sided crush present in the show and even that was'nt too burdening because our heroin's love to our main male lead was unwavering to the end.

6) Very hot steamy kiss scene :P (I'll leave it to your imagination of how hot it is.. :D )

7) The OSTs was so great. All the soundtrack was so damn fantastic that I must download all of them and keep it in my phone. I usually got bored while hearing the same song over and over again but it was'nt the same case with all the song in BYS. It now has been dozens of times already I listen to the Shi Shi - He is'nt Worth It, I keep wanting to listen to it more. I also love the Don't panic song the same. It is cute and catchy.

Alright, I think 7 reasons are enough for now. Lastly, I recommend this to everyone who want to watch revenge-melo-romance drama at this moment. Give it a try, you might love it the way I did ^^

I am generally not a huge fan of school dramas, because they can be too corny for my taste, but this one was so well done that I was surprised at how addicted I got so quickly.

Forgive me, it's been a while since I finished it, but it left such a strong impression that I think I can review it fairly.

First, I loooooved the two leads. Lee Sung Kyung as Kim Bok Joo is perfect! She's charming, easy to relate to, and root for, and seemed so authentic. She's matched with Nam Joo Hyuk who is nothing like I expected him to be. Instead of being the normal arrogant athlete, he is just extremely playful, and was super easy to sympathize with. It was awesome to watch their story together unfold as they become good friends, then much more.

There are lots of great supporting characters too. At the top of that list is Kim Bok Joo's crew of BFFs. They were hilarious, and fun, even at their silliest. I also love a crew that is so not cool that they are extremely cool... SWAG! Joon Hyeong's bestie was pretty funny too, and I liked that the bffs had a cute storyline of their own.

Of course the supporting character MVP in my book is the king of second leads Lee Jae Yoon! He is so good at being crush worthy, and making a viewer really reconsider what's so great about the male lead anyway. He never disappoints, and he's no different here. He also always manages to play an interesting character, and never just rests on being eye candy... delicious eye candy! *swoon*

I can go on and on about the supporting cast being great... her dad, her uncle, his parents, the coaches, the woman with the futile crush... but the only character which just didn't work for me was Kyung Soo Jin as the ex with issues. Not only did she seem out of place playing a student (looking much older than the others), her character was also uselessly emo, and clingy, which made her uninteresting. It seemed like she was only there to cause conflict and then she faded into the background. I honestly don't think her character was even necessary.

I spent a lot of time talking about characters and not the plot because there isn't much to the overall plot. This is one of those dramas where you like the characters so you are satisfied just watching what goes on in their lives without needing a strong plot. That also makes the rewatch value high for me, because I was watching for the performances, not really to see what would happen next. Joon Hyeong does have a pretty emotional story, but there is still no major plot that drives each episode, just the awesomeness of the world of Kim Bok Joo and friends.

Music... Hmm... I can't remember the soundtrack at all.

I really recommend this one for viewers who like strong (literally) and interesting female leads. It's a great coming of age story, with a romance that is solid, and kinda innocent, but not too juvenile to take seriously. If you're not a huge fan of school dramas, like me, this may be the one that changes your mind. I will file this under super cute dramas that exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I gave it a chance! Swwwwaaaaag!!!

The last trilogy from History (BL) series. (My Hero, Stay AwayFrom Me and Obsessed)

8 out of 10.

The plot is not realistic. All happened beacuse of simple misunderstanding that only happened on romance drama in the 80s. The characters are too many with lots of side stories for a 4 episodes drama. If this was a 10 episodes drama, it will be much better.

The story about a man died in a car accident after been told by his boyfriend (his senior from that he will married a girl. Luckily he been given a second chance and gone back 10 years when he was 19 and had not met his boyfriend. THis time he will do what it takes to not fall for his boyfriend. But can he resist the temptation?

Though the story is mediocre but the biggest plus on this series are the skinship and the kissing scenes. There are so many many many of that and more. In fact I am pretty sure this only 4 episodes drama had the most kissing scenes from any other Asia drama that ever produced. BL or non BL. Hot. hot. hot.

The chemistry of the two main actors were off the roof.

So don't watch this drama with your parents or friends that are not comfortable with lots of skinship and kissing scenes. hehehehe

The 2 songs from this series were very good and set the mood for the drama perfectly.

Rewatch value is 9. Cause its only had 4 episodes with only less than 20 mins per episodes.

WOW! just wow!

I really didn't expect liking this one as much as i ended up doing. I was really hesitant with beginning to watch this drama for 2 reasons.

1. When i read the plot it sounded like a melodrama and i'm not that into melodramas.

2. This is a police, detective, crime drama and i haven't been super impressed by those sort of dramas in k-drama land yet.

But this drama proved me wrong. It turned out to be way more comedic than what i thought while going into it and i was really into all the cases they solved and it felt almost like i was a part of their team and trying to figure out what was happening in the cases along with them. This drama made me laugh out loud, it was really funny and when i wasn't laughing i was usually frustrated. All the bad people in this drama almost made me rip my hair out, out of frustration.

Story: To make it short, i think this is the comedic and more, i guess you could say, lighthearted version of Remember-War of the son. I got the same vibe from the storyline, but Remember were not as easy to watch as this one because Remember was more melodramatic and exaggerated to a point of almost becoming to much (but i loved it though) and it didn't have those witty lines and funny characters like You're all surrounded does. They both have sort of the same thing going.
The main character decides to become a detective (or a lawyer) because the people that were solving a case involving their parent in the past didn't do their job right and they want to solve the case themselves. And the fact that the main focus wasn't the romance between the main characters but actually more on the storyline. I really liked it, although i'm a sucker for romance it was still awesome and it did have romance in it, it's just that i didn't feel like that's what they were focusing on, which turned out be be okay in the end. A lot of dramas tend to almost forget the storyline and the comedy in a rom-com once the romance start playing out. But that didn't happen here.

Acting/cast: I absolutely loved the characters in this drama. They were all really well written and acted out. I'm also really happy that i watched this drama, because the only drama with Go Ah-ra i had seen before this one, was Hwarang and i didn't like her character or that drama just in general, so it was nice to see a drama i liked with her in it and get another perspective of her as an actress.
Lee Seung gi is one of my many favourite actors, i absolutely loved My girlfriend is a Gumiho and i will be watching more of his dramas in the future. All in all, great cast, great acting.

Music: 10/10 because they used My chemical romance-Welcome to the black parade in the ending of the first 5-8 episodes, and i love MCR. They also had some great OST's though.

Rewatch value: i probably won't rewatch it because i never rewatch dramas, but for people that do, the rewatch value is 10/10.

It is just overall a fantastic drama.

Oh man... I watched this for Kyan, he's my favorite member of Golden Bomber, and that's the only thing that sustained me through this film. It was bad. Bad as in bad, and bad as in parody.

The story is Kiryuuin wanting to fall in love the summer after his third year of high school. his best friend Jun has recently broken up with Kenji. To start off their boy hunting they go to the beach where Kyan works, and things take off from there.

Taking this as a parody; it was actually pretty good. It covers the usual tropes with romance series, and with BL series. No problems there. But the way it was shot... God awful. I can swear to you that some of the scenes were shot on the kind of camera you can pick up at a general store. It's not good quality with zoom in's or stability overall of scenes. I would attribute the poor filming if it were later, but it's 2009... At other times, their mouthes and dialogue didn't match up so I'm 90% sure some of the scenes were dubbed over and it's terribly obvious.

Really everyone couldn't hold this together acting wise; the majority of Golden Bomber sucks at acting. The over-acted scenes are hard to separate from the 'regular' acting scenes. It's not the fun cringey so much as the cringe, cringey but it did have me laughing. Kyan was a surprise gem for me to see in this film, as his line delivery and scenes were the easiest to watch.

Golden Bomber's songs, while I like them overpowered a lot of the dialogue when played. It got annoying and cut into what would be salvageable scenes and completely lost them. While only an hour long, I can't say I'll be watching this film again.

Finished this drama in one-go. I'm sure I've watched this kind of story before but I don't remember did I watch it on Taiwanese drama or from their actual manga. The story were interesting funny and the most pity person is her father. I really feel bad for the father but at the same time I laugh really hard because of him especially at episode 4 OMG LOL.
I recognize the girl were BALSA from seirei no moribito after watching it for a while. Rate this 8/10.
I really enjoyed the story. Would recommended.

This is a fantastic movie. I laughed, cried, and loved the entire thing. It's not a cheesy simple rom-com, it's filled with heartbreaking moments, and a beautiful ending. The entire cast is perfect, the suspense is well thought out and heart jerking, and it's beautifully acted. Both leads had good chemistry, and the supporting actors had pretty cute chemistry as well ;) This movie is 100% worth the watch.
