I started watching this drama thinking that it would be another romantic comedy drama.Cast: Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun.Although I've seen Ji Chang Wook before (and he is an amazing actor),this was my first time watching Nam Ji Hyun (Eun Bong Hee),Choi Tae Joon(Ji Eun Hyuk). The supporting leads too have acted well.

I started with the first episode and it was good.I thought of continuing further (ofcourse because of Ji read more Chang Wook). And then....last few minutes of episode 2 and it turns out that this is a thriller-suspense drama! (haha I hadn't seen the teaser or the trailer before selecting this drama )Also, tbh, I love mystery-suspense-thriller dramas and the fact that I wasn't expecting this one to be a thriller-suspense drama was even more awesome! That's when I decided that I just had to continue with this drama!

Since Episode 3 till now, this drama is just awesome! The story is great! The actors have played their roles well .I like Ji Wook & Eun-Hyuk bromance (lol) and ofcourse the chemistry between the main leads (Ji Wook and Eun Bong Hee.) :D So I'd like others to watch this drama while it's airing(although it's a suspense drama, the more you wait, the more exciting it is to watch the new episode.Btw there are 2 episodes every week so YAY! although they are 30 mins each;so that would be an hour altogether).
Finally,I am hoping for more suspense as there are almost 14 episodes more to go.
And I hope for a happy ending. Overall:9.5/10

His royal hotness, Ji Chang Wook, comes off strong and effective Atty. No Ji Wook, as expected of his range as an actor. He has the ever familiar gestures and stares that he has used to charm his love interests, but it works. Maybe I have been charmed by his bright smile and finely chiseled face, but he is one of the most formidable actors in K-dramaland no doubt.

Support characters, Atty. read more Byun and Atty. Ji Eun-Hyuk, are also effective and lovable. Nara's Cha Yoo Jung leaves a remarkable performance, as well.

The female lead is a big disappointment, lacking maturity as an actress, and lacks more depth as a character; she is supposed to be a black belt in Judo(?) and quite a strong/tough woman and yet she comes off weak and easily shaken.

It is almost painful to watch her acting opposite Ji Chang Wook. Nam Ji-Hyun's take on the character Eun-Bonghee is quite poor. She uses the same character reference for the provincial girl she portrayed in Shopping King Louie; which worked then for that show. Sadly, the same portrayal for a different and more empowered character in Suspicious Partner is flat out failure. She acts all cute with a cutesy voice that is not typical of a supposed confident lawyer / (acquitted) murder-suspect / mature lady, which is disturbing. Could she possibly be a miscast?

Can the writer do something to make character Atty. Eun Bonghee, smarter and more confident please? She is clearly surrounded by danger and yet she goes out alone at night, etc? Gosh, please help this character, writer-nim!

From the same writer, the balance of romance/comedy and thriller is really good. And the criminals are very interesting in both of those dramas.

Well, ep 25 and 26 were a little draggy because it literally lacked everything except great acting but it feels like the director knew that's why he blessed us with 27 and 28.

LOL, if you want newcomers to see positive comments, maybe you shouldn't hide this in a spoiler?

With all these comments of saying they have dropped the drama, I just feel the need to comment how much I love it and how I will continue watching it. I just don't want people who plan to check it out, get turned off and not watch it anymore because of those kinds of comments.

The drama is great for me: romance, comedy, law, crime, mystery... and I love dramas that makes you ask tons of questions, makes you wonder and makes you want for more. Why is Hyun Soo killing these people? What is his relationship with that girl? Why did Bong Hee said she has two dads? What is her biological father's connection to the fire that killed Ji Wook's parents? How is the district attorney related to that fire? These are only some of the reasons why I can't drop this drama and why I think it shouldn't be dropped. if you want to know the reasons please click on spoiler button

Watching Ji Chang Wook act is a privilege. I mean, being born at the same decade when his acting career is going on is a big honor. I just... can't find the proper words to explain how great of an actor he is.

True! A lot of people comment saying how he's handsome and all, but let's not forget he is a true actor (a handsome one, yes, but a true one). He's so great in every drama (even if not every drama is great!).

Well, ep 21-24 is def not my fav, it's so hard to watch because of the whole noble idiocy, playing hard to get and "it's my fault" thing. The plot is too draggy as expected coz I think 20/40 episodes is too long for this kind of a drama. However, they ended this week episodes well as some secret has been revealed & they're balancing out the mystery/comedy/romance part. Not sure how they'll hold it up till ep 40 though, but I hope for the best. SP, fighting!

Same here, didn't find the "hard to get" thing entertaining. Instead, I found it childish and now it became boring for me to watch. Will get back watching this after it airs off...

Yeah, am kinda lost my interest in this drama and not sure if I Iike the direction they're heading to. I love their character, the mystery part but now I don't feel it as interesting as they're used to be, I hope I'm wrong :')

I feel you! They're stretching the killer-thing for too long now, too long that it sacrificed more time that should have been given to the main leads and the whole gang. In this generation, we want a fast-paced turn of events
