Jang So Yeon is confirmed to star alongside Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won in a new K-drama
Song Joong Ki received offers to star in a new drama!
According to media outlets on May 27th, Song Joong Ki will be the main lead for the upcoming revenge drama "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate."
Song Joong Ki's agency History D&C responded to the reports stating that the actor is positively reviewing offers from the said drama
Based on popular web novel of the same name, "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" will narrate the story of a person who worked for the chaebol family for 10 years, got framed for embezzlement, and was eventually killed. He got the chance to be reborn as the youngest son of the chaebol family who killed him and plans to take revenge, robbing the family of their wealth.
The upcoming drama will be helmed by Jeong Dae Yun who also worked on dramas "She Was Pretty" and "W." The script will be written by Kim Tae Hee. This will possibly be Song Joong Ki and writer Kim Tae Hee's reunion since "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" in 2010.
"The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" will reportedly air on JTBC. They are aiming to start filming in the second half of the year and will air in the first half of 2022.
Song Joong Ki recently ended his hit drama "Vincenzo" with Jeon Yeo Bin and Ok Taecyeon. He is also filming for the upcoming movie "Bogotá" with Ryu Seung Beom, Jo Hyun Chul, and Lee Hee Joon.
If Song Joong Ki accepts the offer, this will be his second drama to film. He will also return to the second season of tvN's "Arthdal Chronicles : Season 2" with Kim Ji Won, Jang Dong Gun, and Kim Ok Bin.
