Why are you reading this review and not watching it?! This is one of my all time favorite dramas. While at times the characters can be a bit frustrating, they do a really good job playing them. The romantic scenes in this drama are very romantic and rememberable (unlike the Korean version...). I could on and on about what I like, but I would spoil it for you. The only thing I can honestly say I didn't like was part of the end, so thank goodness they have a season two! The second season of this drama is also very good and doesn't ruin the first season (unlike Meteor Garden II...).

There are also two versions of this drama, the 30 episode

I originally watched this because of Playful Kiss, hoping to compare the dramas. I am a huge fan of Playful Kiss, but after watching It Started With A Kiss, it surpasses Playful Kiss. First off, the storyline may be close to the same, but ISWAK really goes into depth with the story and the feelings of the characters. ISWAK develops characters and how they handle certain situations, and unlike Playful Kiss' Baek Sung Jo, the audience can really understand the main character's feelings. I would highly recommend watching It Started With A Kiss if you are wanting something that is witty, funny, and romantic, and expect a lot more romance in the sequel. There shouldn't be any disappointment by the time you've seen the whole entire read more

When i first saw the show.. i thought "damn.. the second male lead is far more handsome than the main lead" but being new to t-drama back then i didn't know it was Jiro Wang.. now that i know... i'm so in love with him.. he's so handsome!

(not sure if there's a spoiler in here??)

I'm getting so frustrated! I can see this version is done very well but the 3rd/4th time watching this story it's really not as interesting... So when the HECK does he admit he likes her too? I keep spoiling in further episodes, but does it really take until the very last ep or what?? Please, someone tell me!!
(Btw, am I the only one who's so turned off on Joe Chen... And I liked Jiro better to begin with...)

Way, way better than Playful Kiss. They have so much more chemistry, and you can see him fall in love with her, it was so badly done in PK.

It's called "It Started With A Kiss", but I'm 5 episodes in and there hasn't been any kissing at all. What gives?

    Worse than the Korean version.
Other than that, if you dislike plainly stupid female leads with no self respect, steer clear of this (and other spawns of this series including Playful Kiss and Izatura na Kiss).

Ok, I may be yelled at for saying this but I thought this drama was simply ok/good, not amazing. Yes, the leads do have great chemistry together and I still enjoyed watching it, but 30 episode was just way too much for this drama! At times I just wanted to skip some parts because I felt like they weren't needed to be seen, and they just got a little boring at times. I prefer the Korean Version, call me biased tho my fave Asian dramas are Korean hehe. It's also the type of drama I don't feel like re-watching, unlike Korean and Japanese dramas, I love them, I can re-watch those countless times! With all that said I still recommend this drama, it's still good. This is Just my opinion tho! :)

First I thought that Playful Kiss, were awesome.
Then I saw this and the second season.
Now, I understand why this drama have been so popular. I can't describe how wonderful this drama is. I finished the both seasons in 6 days. It's so amazing. To describe the chemistry between the two lead actors, I can't. Their love seem so real.
In the second season I thought that Joe and Ariel were married in real life. This kind of love-chemistry is the first time I seen in a asian drama. Totally love this.

This was my first Twdrama and I personally think its perfect. It set the bar for all of the Twdramas I watched afterward. I thought the plot was great and I fell in love with the characters. I've rewatched this drama AT LEAST 10 times. It's that good. It's got drama, comedy, and romance. The leads have great chemistry and this drama made me a fan of both.

So glad I finally decided to watch this! This is better than Playful Kiss by far. Playful Kiss may be pretty to look at but that's about all it had for me. I'm thinking of Love or Bread after They Kiss Again. I don't want to give up Ariel and Joe together!
