Outstanding!

I've watched tons of korean dramas for the past almost 15 years and i find this drama is a lot more amazing than any dramas i've ever watched. The ideas are very brilliant! The storyline is good enough. Full of motivations, a lot of unexpected tragedies/scenes, blowing our mind(full of tricks and riddles), beautiful characters, costumes and scenes, amazing fighting scenes and much much more...! Wei Young can be a good model for any girls in the world. She's superbly intelligent AND I'M SOO INTO TANG YAN BECAUSE SHE'S VERY CUTE! Hopefully she'll end her dating period by marrying Luo Jin XD. I HAVE NO REMORSE WATCHING ALL THE EPISODES BECAUSE IT'S WORTH WATCHED AFTER ALL!

Genuine smile

I picked the wrong time to watch the first half of this episode. I was tired or something. So i paused it and took a break, but the 2nd part of this ep was so good that all my tiredness faded away. When Daisuke finally opened up to Hanako, it was such a great moment. I am glad to see these two coming together. And the part where the ex husband handed over Hananko's "user manual" to Daisuke was really charming too. The episode started out with him fake smiling through the pain, but it ended with him smiling genuinely in the wedding photos. So touching. And haha his work friend has been funny throughout the entire show.

A pass!

Wow, I'm so happy that it wrapped up that mystery. To be honest I thought the Hwaseong serial murders case was going to be the overall arc of the series. However, I won't lie. The idea of the cases taking on a personal tone, specially to Park Hae Yeong, is very appealing. As I've said I like the cast of characters and I want to know more about them.



If there is eventually a romance I'd love for it to be Soo Hyun and Jae Han. Jae Han deserves some happiness after what happened. Plus, if it's like the movie there's a chance for them . . .



I'm astonished how well the writers are doing. Stepping away from the Hwaseong case will be tough, but I love bold steps and the fact that they're not trying to phone it in. I hate it when a plot line is milked to death.



It was chilling to see the father defending his son. Because you realize there's something really off with the dad. That he was unable to realize that by protecting his son at all costs he tore family's and lives apart. The flimsy excuse that his son was motherless couldn't even be defended. As a mother of two was killed because of them. He didn't even bat an eye. I blame both people for the murders.



Overall Signal is shaping up to be 2016's best drama. The actors are amazing, visually it's stunning fitting both time lines, and the writing is amazing. There's no question that Signal passes the 4 episode trial period. I have to see this drama to the end.

Last cluster - youngest in the family

This episode focuses mostly on Tadashi and his place in the family. I gotta say this episode was very cheesy, but still got to me easily but because those siblings, and all the actors' chemistry is so real you can't help believe in it.



So Tadashi made a big mistake and wants to run away from owning up to it. He's very childish and just wants an excuse to blame it on others. Yes the betrayal he felt was real and harsh, but the way he dealt with it is more like a coward. We did learn early on that he was never good at facing problems, and usually just runs away from them, however there comes a time when no one can cover for you. That threat of suicide never really felt as a threat more than a way for him to expose his self loathing and get the attention.



I think what elevated the episode to me was the ending. Sometimes saying sorry is not enough. Also sometimes having someone writing you off from their life is MUCH worst than keeping a grudge against you and blaming you for your misdeed.



On another note, there is a nice subtle reflection that we saw earlier in the show, that gets highlighted here. When Asa-nii wanted to take Tadashi to apologize for his wrongdoing and own up to his mistake, Satoru said to not do it because it'll prove that Tadashi was behind and and may get sued. This is very western way of thinking, or as we call it "the suing" (I didn't invested I heard it from many americans :P). It reflects on Asahi's way of thinking which is, own up to it no matter what the consequences are (their house deed is still in the possession of Takako's siblings.. they may get kicked out of their house at any time.. all this to make a point and make Satoru apologize).



I think most of us today would lean towards the suing culture, and are becoming more individualistic as a global society, and this is affecting even the most socialistic communities so the existence of someone like Asahi is becoming exceptional despite his shortcoming ;)
