Low production cost

This should have been a great film but due to low production cost and acting its lacking is not in the normal of the series we expect to see. Yet I still gave it a high score since with what they had i continued watching the series therefore i think it deserves a chance. The story is a compilation of different twist from former common and famous series we have already seen. Although it doesnt have much originality the writer did well or else I would have stop watching it. Every episode is just short and the story evolves fast so dont expect too much from it and you will enjoy it in my opinion.

Sweet and Fluffy - Good Chemistry of Main Romance

Completed - 12/4/2021

As part of the Sweet On series, it is to be expected that this is a light and fluffy romantic comedy. If you are not into rom-coms, it's best to not watch it, or at least don't have too high an expectation. Sweet Teeth has three main romance plots. Our three main leads all have very different professions and I am glad that we are not confined to the traditional C-drama occupations. They also have three very different romances.

The romance between Ai JinChu, a dentist (or should I say an orthopedic surgeon) and Zeng Li, a librarian/coffee shop owner, takes center stage in this drama. And their romance is really what kept me entertained throughout the drama. Their journey, from misunderstanding to being doctor/patient, to being friends and finally lovers, was satisfying and sweet. We have two pretty likable characters with similar personalities. The chemistry between them is good, and their visual is good as well. I didn't really recognize Wu Xuan Yi (FL) as the FL in Duoluo Continent. She seems way younger in DC, and she looks like the Korean actress, Jo Ba Ah, in this drama. This is my first time watching Bi WenJun (ML) and I didn't find him that handsome in the first few episodes. But then, maybe his character's personality slowly opens up and I find him quite attractive later on and at certain angles, he looks like Neo Hou. Both of their acting is decent and they make me want to root for them. I am a fan of slow burn romance, so I didn't mind they officially got together quite late in the series (at least late for a traditional rom-com).

The noona romance between Wu Ying and Lui Yu Cheng was adorable in the beginning. I am a lukewarm towards any older woman/younger male storyline. For this one, I do think YuCheng is a little too young (age 21) to be with Wu Ying (age 27). It's not the 6-year difference that is the problem, it's that YuCheng is only 21. However, both of them do have similar interests and YuCheng did appear and act very mature for his age. So, I was rooting for their romance. But personally, I feel that it loses some steam and I lost interest of their stories in the last 5 episodes or so.

I was the least interested in Ma YiYi and Deng Hao Ran's romance. I was annoyed with YiYi's personality in the beginning. She doesn't act like a 26 year-old but a teenager. However, I have to say she has the most character development and towards the end, she matures and becomes true to herself. As much as I enjoy her banter with Hao Ran, I felt that everything happened too late.

Other observations:
1) You learn quite a bit about dental hygiene and care in this drama
2) I love stories with libraries and books - I wish there's a more romantic use of books in this drama
3) I wonder if Wu Xuan Yi really did wear braces throughout the drama.
4) Why are they using so many English songs - they sound OK but the lyrics are a little weird.

I'll be honest, I truly believe that I am not being generous when I give this drama a 10. It's one of those dramas I wish I could unwatch just so I can experience watching it for the first time all over again. Am I perhaps biased, emotionally attached? Uhhh, maybe. But, believe me, if you had just experienced the loveliness that is the ending of this drama, I doubt you'd feel any different. And if you do, well, that's okay, you and I are just very different people, that's all.

For me, this drama is a testament to just how wondrous and beautiful dramas can be when they build original stories and worlds, with unique, well-written characters.

Considering it dealt so closely with death and loss, it's amazing to think that it had me laughing and feeling giddy over the curious beauty of life every step of the way. If anything, I'd say this drama is about cherishing the people who brighten up your life and how to keep them in your heart even when they're gone. It's not often that I feel so deeply gratified with the life lessons a DRAMA taught me because, let's be real, we don't watch dramas for those reasons.

Now, I'm sure that with all this talk of how moving, heartfelt, and poignant this drama is, you might be fearing something else: That it's boring. IT'S NOT. In fact, this drama has a rather eccentric sense of humor, thanks to it's wonderfully quirky lead character. It is witty and hilarious and, frankly, employs a kind of subtle humor that I don't see often in dramas.

Each and every character, both leading and supporting, is wonderfully acted and written. Cha Tae-hyun's Ho-sang and Kang Hye-jung's Na Ha-na will likely always have a very special place in my heart. Kim Ji-hoon and Gong Hyun-joo are lovely as a pair of the greatest, and most supportive second leads you will ever see in a kdrama, ever.

And if I haven't convinced you with my praise of the acting and writing, let it be known that the director has a lovely artistic sense. I distinctly remember many clever shots that elevated even the simplest of scenes.

But, most importantly, let me stress this. This drama is not sad. It is, in fact, a drama that left me with an overwhelming sense of happiness. Did I cry my heart out? Yes. But I was also laughing at the sheer beauty of life. And, yes, if you saw me, I probably looked crazy, but, hey, that's just what this drama does to you.

Hana: What kind of flower did you come in search for?
Ho-sang: I don't know. You?
Hana: As for me, I probably came in search of Ho-sang.

Short and sweet

Each episode is like under 5 mins making this drama short and sweet.
Storyline is the female lead finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend and the boyfriend tries to kill her by pushing her off the building . The same night a meteor appear and it some how transported her back in time. This time she changes and tries to collect the evidence of the evil boyfriend. The male lead disguises himself as the female lead's secretary. He has his secrets and want to find out the truth behind his father's suicide. The female lead and male lead team up to try to collect the evidence ! They end up falling in love. They are a cute couple. There is still some romance to this mini drama! Not too much time is focused on the evil characters so that is good. Im liking this mini dramas more and more.

i watched with without subs.

A successful manga/anime into live action. Take note, drama producers.

Cheerful and hilarious.
A lot of the credit goes to the actors who balanced quirkiness with good acting restraint. Tamaki senpai was the star of the show. But to be honest, I was rooting for Haruhi to be with Kyouya because Daito Shunsuke stole the show in terms of chemistry after the scene at the beach. All the characters were cheeky and quite loveable.

All of the dialogue and the acting was amazing.

A fabulous and fun and well executed drama. Totally enjoyable.

Have you ever watched a drama that you were not sure why you were still watching it? Yet, you finished it and still could not fathom why you did? Well, this fits that classification. The main female character irritated me almost from start to finish. I actually felt sorry for the male character, Hyeok Jun, having to be stuck with such a childish, immature wife! There are few and far between moments that I actually liked her but I definitely can say I disliked the second lead female, Ga Young even more. Can I say, I have never seen a drama with Lee Da Hee in it that I liked? She is 0-3 in my book. I've never liked any of her characters. The story could have been more interesting if Jung Sook whined less. As far as the male characters, loved them all. Do I recommend this? Only if you have time. It has some fun moments but I swear, Jung Sook's character will truly drive you crazy! Whine! Whine! Whine! Its still ringing in my ears!

Don't bother

Was disappointed with this series mainly because after so many drama series together I expected OffGun to have more chemistry, but unfortunately not. Gave this show a chance just because they were acting in it. The script was kindda lame too. The many times they asked each other how to calm their nerves, which was just used as an excuse to kiss each other, was super duper cringe. The kisses were also cringe and unbelievable (newsflash: people don't kiss irl without moving their lips). Unfortunately for me, OffGun were the weakest actors in the cast. I was surprised by Aungpao though, a new actor, who provided comedic relief without being slapstick. His pairing with Neo who is always good in his roles, was fun to watch. Dome was excellent as well but Tum was kindda over the top. This show doesn't really have much in terms of plot. Storyline is shallow, unrealistic and slapstick. A waste of time.

As a fan of science fiction movies and shows and from those that I've seen, this may not be my number one but fortunately one of the best. A parallel universe story with various twists. It felt like I was watching FLASH that needs to go back to the past to change the timeline, and near the end was like LEGEND OF THE BLUE SEA that waited for a long time to come back and suddenly just arrived at home.
If you are looking for a simple love story or a plain science fiction, this one is not for you. This is like a brain game. Every single detail shouldn't be missed, well, of course, there are some scenes and dialogues that are so cheezy and quite long, but that's the downside of the story.
The writer was not able to justify bringing the two lovers in one world, but that's the exact reality of what might happen if there is really a parallel world. I love the story.

Best historical drama 2022

The social issues brought up in this drama is very relatable. Aside from the rushed final 5 episodes, I find the pacing, and story building from the start, very comfortable. The details in background sound and arrangement of music score are very nice. Most cast are perfect for their character. I love the senior casts, and very delighted by the performance of the younger generation, and especially the leads. This might be the best portrayal by Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi as of now. I love the dynamic of the emperor and both wives, the empress and Shaoshang and emperor and Zisheng. I find the flaws of the characters compliment their strength. I just wish they could release a director's cut version, so that we get a smoother ending.

Definitely not for the ones who want to watch romance.

This drama i feel keeps going back and forth and there is too much sorrow in it. Espically with Ye Ji. She's going through so much and towards the end it feels like she didnt actually even love Jin. Hwan's feels were understandable but Ye Ji, to some extent kept leading him on. This drama started off good and smooth but then it started taking too many leaps and I felt like it was running somewhere. The actors have done a brillant job. Espically Jin's was a difficult one to potray because of his leg conditiin but Seok Jin did a wonderful job in convincing the audience.

This was one of the first dramas i've watched. So keeping that in mind...i wouldn't re-watch it even if they paid me. There are so many other great dramas out there. The plot was confusing at first. And in the end the script just didn't hold it together enough. It was a mess, like the writers didn't know what to add to the drama. Not a lot actually happens off the main storyline. I enjoyed it halfway but then i honestly skipped through the last episodes.
And the characters...oh dear...they had their moments. Both main leads pissed me off at times but they also had their cutsey funny moments.

So yeah,i had my mixed feeling when i've finished it. It's worth watching if you are in the hunt for something sweet and silly, and if you don't have anything else to watch. But don't expect too much, you might get bored a couple of times.

A Masterpiece

This is a masterpiece of cinematic genius, brilliant writing, and profound acting. I BELIEVED each one of these scenarios. I simply cannot say enough good things about this BL series. While most of it will make you feel good, there are a few, and one in particular, that will make you cry and leave you with a hole in your heart the size of the universe. These snippets of everyday (gay) life is so true to reality and so profoundly well done that this has to be labeled a masterpiece. I was deeply moved by all of them. Suspend yourself and allow your thoughts to just get into the stories. I just wish they had English translations of the interviews of the actors during the credits. I write a (free) blog and this will definitely be one of my all time favorite BL series. I shall post my review shortly but check out my other reviews if you so desire. ppbongi.medium.com. Please watch this gem. It is nothing short of perfection.

Great acting, likeable characters

All around enjoyed this. All characters likeable, easy on the cliche's, good acting and a nice dose of humor. Definitely would watch a side story about Doctor Pei Shou Yi. He might just be favourite character in this show, despite being a supporting role. The pairing of Zhou Shu Yi and Gao Shi De had a nice organic feel, they genuinely seemed like two young guys trying to figure out their drama, but there weren't any melodramatics that felt forced. I also liked that the humor and feel of this was a little anime-esque during some scenes, which was fun. Especially some of Zhou Shu Yi's moments and facial expressions. It was a great watch. Looking forward to more.

A premise you've, more likely than not, seen before, with countless recognizable plot devices and character tropes, A Little Thing Called First Love isn't the freshest show out there. Xia Miao Miao is a sweet but meek young girl who develops a huge crush on the golden boy, Liang You Nian, and you follow their lives within the school setting as they come of age. If you've seen this type of story and have loved it, then you'll probably at least enjoy its reiteration here. I'm on that boat. These tropes got me hook, line and sinker lol.

The thing that sort of rubbed me the wrong way in this production was how they handled the female lead's physical transformation in order to fit in with society's standards of beauty and to make her feel more worthy of the male lead. I appreciate how she learned to go after her own goals and actually became respected for skills, but her physical transformation was just a bit much for me with everyone encouraging her to undergo certain changes and then praising her when she finally fit in. The changes ARE gradual and can realistically showcase things a girl does as she grows up, but it's the conversations around it that could have been more tactful. Not a fan, but didn't pull me entirely away from the story.

The cast was a bit young for my taste, but I think they did a fine job for this being so early on in their careers. It's rare that you get actors playing a character OLDER than their actual age. You follow these characters into their early adulthood, which is a span of about six years throughout the 36 episodes, but I still find that a lot of the thoughts and actions they have when they are around 22 years old is similar to their mindset when they were 16. There's not a whole lot of character development for anyone except the female lead, and everyone has retained that immaturity they had when they were in high school. I'm giving them a high score just because they are too stinking cute, and I love the different relationships within their group dynamic. I didn't dislike any of the supporting characters. The lighthearted feel of this drama luckily doesn't call for profound acting ability. They're actually more natural than I expected, but I overall just thought that either the actors were too young or the characters were situationally older than they should have been.

Overall, just an adorable feel-good drama, with some promising young and newer faces.

Fukada Saki looked amazing in this drama. Tattoos, cropped blonde hair and a permanent glare. She was also the most compelling character in the drama.

The plot revolved around illegal Chinese residents in Japan and the drug trade that occurs in the Chinese ghettos of Japan. It would have been nice to hear some dialogue about the social issues behind the illegal residents of Japan but the drama doesn't go that deep.

Interesting plot lines and characters but the execution came off as lacking. Some more depth to the characters, both lead and supporting would have made this drama a better watch.

The side characters did not experience as much character growth as I would have liked and the ending was too abrupt for me.

A good drama with interesting plot and characters but lacks depth.
