Someone decided to give these dorks their own show and I was absolutely here for it. This was part entertaining, part inspirational, partly impressive, and part second hand embarrassment. It all culminates into a pretty funny and entertaining variety show. Although the show is about dance and choreography, there is a heavy emphasis on the variety aspect of the show. You get to see the gang explore Los Angeles, shop, and deal with language barriers. The cool part about the show is that they get to meet with a lot of famous dancers/choreographers and of course there's the random celebrity appearances. The main thing I disliked was the amateur editing. It was sloppy and made the show a bit confusing. Parts of the show were also kind of a hot mess, but the boys managed to pull through in the end with some snazzy pieces of choreography. With only 8 episodes, it's worth checking out.

Disappointed

It's bearable if you didn't watch season 1 but for people who watched it, it's pretty disappointing. FBS (2018) was somewhat okay in ways, the fights and acting were good enough to keep me onto the series. However for season 2, I can say I'm just disappointed since I waited 4 years for this series. Glad that their is an anime tho?. Actors were good enough to deal with what they had but some of the fight scene gmfu. ?. All in all the drama wasn't worth my wait and I would prefer season 1 with wu lei in it.

Interesting way to tell a story

Short and sweet.
Talks about love, first one sided... This love is shown in words, time is different for the couple. He always talks about her. She talks about life, herself and the realisation of boy becoming a man and the difference between the way she looked at him in high school and university...
STORY - simple, with just one direction

ACTINGS - like it, enough for the personality of the characters.

MUSIC - like it

REWATCH - don't think so, even if it is sweet and short. Since it's a simple story, there isn't much to find in a rewatch, maybe just to warm our heart.

OVERALL - nice to spend some time watching this. A good short drama.

I have 3 big problem with this drama

Seven Tan & Jing Bo Ran... Of course here I come...

I have 3 big problem with this drama. Haha....
1) The duration.... OMG this is one f*cking long drama, without so much problem to solved. Make me quite bored watching this. For me this drama don't need to be this f*cking long duration or ep, maybe around 20s ep is actually enough.

But yeah like ChineseDramaFan wrote: "This is a lovely series which can be boring for some for its slow, everyday life story, but lovely for many for its quiet romance, a romance many can relate to - no fanfare, just love and devotion (if such elements still exist)." If that's what you looking for, this drama actually quite good. Drama filled with a little flashback, every day boring life with a little interruption about SWAT team mission.

2) I really have hard time to differentiate between the past & present time.... There's no much diff in the appearance of Lu Chen (LC) & Gui Xiao (GX) past & present, no diff color to differentiate the timeline, nothing to make us easier to differentiate past & present time. Maybe just the dialogue they said or little background. But hell I'm still sometimes have hard time to differentiate the timeline. Gonna be better if they choose diff actor to play the past, at least then we know for sure it's the past time...

3) After I read shiro review it make think, about the children, aka Qin Xiao Nan (XN). Yeah how pitty he is. He just moving from 1 house to another acting like it's a usual thing for him. But my problem it's not that... Haha.... The biggest question is where the h*ll is his mom.... Qin Ming Yu & his wife divorce, and at the beginning they tell us XN's mom always want to care for him. But she's really missing from the picture, not even care that her son is transfer to Beijing & his living condition. She can go to court to get custody, even at first the court side with the dad doesn't mean the circumstance can't change. But yeah of course they're not the main couple, so I think they don't need to think too much of this situation.

What I like about this drama:
+ The chemistry between Seven Tan & Jing Bo Ran. I love it... I can feel the attraction between them.
+ The solidarity between the SWAT team & friends
+ The adorable Qin Ming Yu & how he tries to chase Duan Rou.

Overall this quite good drama that you could watch.

I was very interested in watching this drama when it first came out, i had to wait awhile for it to be subbed. I know subbing can take a while and depending on the love for the show, depends on how fast it will get subbed. I let time pass waiting for more episodes to be released and for those subbing could sub.
The show was originally slated for 80 or 85 episodes but ultimately ended with 73. This show is very funny and enjoyable and you get that each episode there is something to learn from it. And you feel like apart of the family, even though you are on the outside looking in. You get to know more about each character and watch as they better themselves. There is moments when you are so used to seeing a particular character, that when you don't see them you wonder where they are ad when you will see them again.
You will laugh, worry, gasp, smile, cry and wonder. As this drama takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. A kind of drama that will want you asking for more and wondering why not? Depending on how you take drama's in, you will either watch more then one a day, or end up going on a marathon then going omg it felt like yesterday i watched this episode when you are farther off from the beginning, and closer to the ending

Originally, I had no intention of watching Mystic Pop Up Bar. I happened to watch a trailer and saw Choi Won Young was in it. He rarely disappoints me so I figured I'd try it. So happy that I dd. This quirky supernatural rom com is truly endearing. Five hundred years ago circumstances happen that causes a young girl, Weol Ju, with mystical powers to kill herself and do damage to a sacred tree. As penance she must solve the grudges of 100,000 humans. With the help of her assistant (minder/supervisor really) and a young man with an odd power, she tries to solve her last 10 grudges. The story seems straight forward, but through flashbacks we see Weol Ju has some serious grudges on her own and not everything is what you see.

The story is a good one. For those that need romance there's not only a 500 year old longing, but a new budding romance with 2 very odd characters. For those that like supernatural, there's plenty. The ghost and demon effects were nicely done. There's even action and fight scenes for action addicts like myself.

Although the story is good, it wouldn't have been anything if it weren't for the outstanding cast. Choi Won Young never disappoints me. Sometimes what he's in does, but he never has. He was wonderful as Guibangjang. Hwang Jung Eum was very good, but I couldn't help staring at her lips. It appears she had injections. They were very unnatural. But she was playing a spirit so I guess whatever works. Yook Sung-jae rounds out our leads. I loved his scenes with Choi Won Young. I think he's a natural at bromances. He played Kang Bae with the right amount of charm, naivete, and hope. It made you root for KB from the very beginning.

The music was good I guess. I'm happy they didn't play the same sappy song in every episode like a music video. There were no flashbacks of scenes that were shown, thankfully! I really would love to see another season, but I don't think I'll re-watch MPUB again, at least not in the foreseeable future.

Overall, it was a really enjoyable show. Nothing truly deep and heavy. There are a lot of smiles to be had and perhaps some tears for some. I truly recommend it.

Cutest Kindaichi so far after Yamada Ryosuke and Domoto Tsuyoshi ❤❤❤ I have to say that Michi's Kindaichi reminded me a lot of Tsuyoshi's Kindaichi, in terms of personality and charm. Not to mention how half of the cases that were featured in this season had been based on similar cases that had been covered by Tsuyoshi's Kindaichi so it does feel kinda nostalgic to see how the new series readapt those cases differently.

Personally, I really like what I'm seeing and I really like how the old cases were given a new life in this new season. Honestly with every different Johnny's we got to see different ways as to how each Kindaichi were intrepreted and one can't help finding new sides to the familiar characters. And Michi, just as his predecessors, have done well in bringing out Kindaichi's charm. That said, it's always so interesting to see how any new adaptations of the Kindaichi series be given a new life either in drama form or anime as they were never really written to be exactly like in the manga and will have different changes added to make each adaptation s different.

Only downside tho, no Detective Akechi again in the new series. Gotta say we're still not getting new Akechi actors in recent Kindaichi dramas ever since Tsuyoshi's run. As in the past series after season 1 and 2, all of the plot where Akechi originally appear in manga end up being transferred to Kenmochi or other characters.

This is a remake of the Korean drama, but I haven't watched the Korean version. On its own, the Thai version is good.

Namtan is convincing as the twin sisters with different personalities, Meen and Mind. The rest of the cast is really good too, especially Jamie as Kat in a supporting role. Krist is good as Natee though one may wish that Natee were a more multi-dimensional character.

I'm not sure how much credit goes to the original Korean scriptwriters, but the story is interesting. The plot about Mind as a badly bullied girl losing her memory and being taken as Meen is complemented with a suspenseful subplot about the death of a girl called June (Meen's friend).

The series seems to be targeted at teenagers and surfaces a lot of issues confronting teenagers, from school bullying to parental expectations and stress over grades. This series contains some of the most astonishingly terrible examples of parents I have seen (particularly the parents of the bully, Tida). In fact, for a large part of the series, Natee's father and Meen's mother are the only truly good parents. Ironically, Meen's mother does not even have any biological children of her own and she is a better mother than those who have given birth to their own children.

It is not very convincing when most of the parents (e.g. Pete's mother and Gun's parents) become better quite suddenly, and there seems to be an excessive eagerness to send a positive message in the last episode. This undercuts the seriousness of the problems in society, such as the bullying of an orphaned girl to the point where she attempts suicide. However, this doesn't affect the show much.

I believe the weaknesses of the original Korean series are present here as well. The depiction of Gun seems a little formulaic (the second-male-lead syndrome strikes). Kay has performed the role of Gun well, but Gun doesn't seem to contribute much to advancing the plot (especially in the later part of the series) and appears to be merely there so that the female lead has not one but two ridiculously wonderful guys as suitors.

While the plot and acting are good, there could perhaps be more distinctions between the Korean series and the remake. From the comments I have read, the changes are minimal. Working towards a different ending would have been interesting. For someone like me who has never watched the Korean version and don't intend to, however, this is still an engaging series.

well plotted rom-com drama

Some reviews are complying that Chang Wook has a lousy role in this drama but for me it is not! Definitely not! I'm glad that Chang Wook took this drama because it is a fresh plotted for me and well executed! One of the reasons why I love this drama is because of the commitment and perseverance of both leads because Saet-Byul which portrayed by Kimm Yoo Jung; she is a soft-hearted sister and a person even though she is very strong physically and her little sister is passionate towards life. Dae Hyun's role is well played by Chang Wook because of being a decent and pure hearted man whom is very family oriented and her mother is very clever towards her family and also towards his husband but he is a caring mother. Their bond as a family excluding his sister (haha) is very warming because even though they are belong in the "not so low economic status" they are dedicated to take step ahead. Also, the hated relationship of Mr. Fire Volcano and Ms. Aphrodite that turns into platonic love is very satisfying and entertaining to watch. Anyways, Yeon Joo and Ji Wook portrayed well because even if Ji Wook wants Saet Byul, he truly care event though they remain as friends and Yeon Joo is very smart but not a good woman for Dae Hyun and Dae Hyun really made his choice more satisfying than ever. The way this drama brings me so much joy and motivations towards life and love.

This drama depicts slice of life, love in family and friends, comedy and romance (all blended well). Great Drama!

Worth Every Minute

Story
The story of this series is simple - theation re are two families at odds, and the children of these families have a history that brings them together and keeps them together. There is a twist, the non lead sibling is a bit protective of the antagonistic family. We find out little details in between that lead to an unbreakable bond between two cast members. We see all the bumps on the way and how they forge this really RELATABLE attraction.

Acting/Cast
Before I saw episode 1 - this was an excitement. Ohm has always been a favorite and Nanon was really coming up. I expected them to have good chemistry, but I was absolutely blown way. After episode 3 - hell I was hooked. I understood why people did not like 1 and 2 - but i knew there would be something more coming after - and I was not let down. Everyone's character evoked the type of reaction the director wanted. If we wanted to be angry at a character - EVERYONE WAS ANGRY - if we wanted to feel bad for a character - EVERYONE FELT IT - It didnt have to be some convoluted storyline to evoke false rage in a cringe weird situation that wasn't plausible -- The emotions came out. And our leads. Holy SHIT. what a fantastic duo. There couldn't have been anyone else in GMM TV to do this. The trust with each other as actors, the love between the characters and their portrayers, the trust in the cast and crew, simply blown away. I have only felt this way twice before, in I told Sunset About You and Until We Meet Again. Less so in UWMA - I think Ohm Thitiwat had to grow into his character more, but he still pulled it off. Here, though, 1000 stars

Music -
When we got Just Friends? - we died. Knowing the significant of that OST was interwoven into the show. It was done in a way that was simple overall, but damn, so significant. When to OST changed for end credits, WE KNEW IMMEDIATELY - then we got Secret. It gave so much power to the actions of the characters. This was Pat falling after Pran, but falling so DAMN hard. Then P'Aof tries to mess up up again - with Our Song. Which has been playing since the beginning. And the significance of that being the underlying them throughout - My god When Pran sings Our Song in Ep 11 - it was so damn emotional.

Overall

I'm a little late to the BL world. I honestly didnt start till right before the pandemic. Started Dec 2019 with SOTUS on netflix. I loved Kongpob. Made my way to SOTUS S on netflix because I wanted more. From there, YT suggested Dark Blue Kiss which was still airing and Love By Chance i think or 2 Moons - Well, i just watched them all. SOTUS was my first

after those, Youtube suggested Until We Meet Again - 4 episodes were out, but i didnt know that. I watched the first 4 and then couldn't find episode 5. (It wasn't out yet). I just expected them to all be out. UWMA was the first one i watched weekly. It was so different it quickly became my favorite (After a 17 week involvement).

I've loved shows since, I've watched many weekly - Light on Me, FUTS, ATOTS, - And I enjoy the differences in them and what they offer. Even if its silly - Sometimes need a silly break.

But Bad Buddy Came along - and it wasn't the silly parts of the fights, it wasn't the story - The story is pretty basic.

But it was something simple. Love is love, and how do people in love work around that love.

There are things in this show I've done, and have realized, and have kept me around with someone - its an understanding

its an understanding that there are things when you are 20-25 that happen - sex, sniffing, pheromones, etc

there are things that are hard if you aren't out - family

friends - can be tricky but true friends are there for you

you have some people you rely on always - PA (then Ink - then korn then wai) - but wai is a bitch

And its not perfect, but you can whether that storm.

Im sooo damn happy with the realization of what a happy gay relationship is like. This is the first and only show that has show that a couple is 50/50 - and it takes 2 - it takes so much effort for that balance and its NOT BASED ON SEX ROLES.

The top was a dud - 5 min
The Bottom was a 10/10

Things are fluid - and they are wonderful. And Loving, and there for each other, and someone who will walk BESIDE them -

Thank you for this BEAUTIFUL portrayal of an LGBT relationship.

A Superb Chinese Historical Drama

A League of Nobleman was a superb drama. It was also intriguing, entertaining, and amusing. I think the cinematography, CGI, music, and costumes were remarkable. The cinematography was practical and realistic. Some of the costumes were dapper and exquisite. The actors and actresses look good in their costumes.

Speaking of the actors and actresses. The ensemble cast was a match made in heaven if you know what I mean. The main actors had great chemistry. All the actors had great chemistry with each other.
The main actors acting performances were splendid.

You know what I like about the main protagonists, Lan Jue and Zhang Ping. I like that they weren't warriors, fighters, or immortals. They're just humans with strengths and weaknesses. They are just humans trying to get through life.

Zhang Ping's detective skills were fantastic. He was intelligent and clever. He solved cases like they were nothing. Not only was Zhang Ping smart and clever, but Lan Jue was also smart and clever. The crime cases were visceral. There were some visceral moments in the drama that left me breathless. The twists throughout the drama were clever and unpredictable. The season finale was bittersweet.

Want something sweet to watch on an afternoon that will make you smile? This will do.

STORY: Same as the details section but I add that she wants to draw a BL cartoon.

Total run-time: approx. 2 hours over 8 episodes, 15 minutes each; a binge-worthy series.

ACTING/CAST: Cute cast and fun to watch, especially Joo Seung Joon and Yoo Ji Wan!

MUSIC: Sorry, didn't pay attention.

REWATCH VALUE: Hell yeah! Gotta see this once more.

OVERALL: Funny, sweet, cute, hot guys, though it is short but I felt long enough to tell a fun story. I might mention there's no overt BL in this but it is suggestive enough to enjoy it. It's got a happy ending too.

Only if you are a fan of fight scenes, Mik or Louis

Would I recommend this lakorn?

Yes - if you like action, more specifically hand combat because even though everyone went around carrying guns, they would rather fight. The hand combat is probably the better part of the show with Mik as Dave and Louis as Drago coordinating well and duel fighting against the bad guys.

No - if you are looking for romance. Very little chemistry between the main couple. Visually, they looked good together, but their interactions were rather stiff. Other than some hugs and a forehead kiss, and lots of "Are you OK?" from the ML, there was nothing else to satisfy the viewers. There was much more chemistry between the two male leads with their constant nodding and exchanging of looks with each other. There was definite romance for the secondary couple. Even then, it was a little unbelievable since the girl did so much bad stuff to the guy, so he's a total doormat to me.

No - if you are looking for a good story execution. Everything is kind of weakly linked together and some loose ends were never explained. This drama could have wrapped up without the extra 10 episodes, but the director must really like fight scenes since that was at least a showdown between the good and bad guys in every episode. Also, the bad guys were always around because the good guys must really wanted to make merit and they would never kill the bad guys. In fact, they constantly welcomed them back into the group. With this group of leads, you get infinite chances to do all sorts of evil stuff because the leads just never learn their lessons. It's like rinse and repeat - "Oh we got attacked doing this...that's ok, let's do it again because it cannot possibly happen again...ooops." Or someone is told not to leave the safety of the place because she's targetted and the next minute, she does exactly that...

Maybe - if you are a fan of Mik or Louis. They carried the show, more Louis in my opinion. They looked good and they did well in the fight scenes. Preaw did not impress me at all. She constantly had a shell-shocked look and her character was just ok, a little weak and useless. She's pretty much there to be a damsel in distress. Even though she can shoot a gun, no one gave her one to protect herself even though everyone else had one. She was constantly hiding in the best spots to be caught. Her strength is that the Naga won't eat her.

Speaking of Nagas, they showed up during some crucial moments but they were not featured much. The story was connected to them but as I mentioned before, kind of loosely. The story was also about past lives, but the plot development there was bad, and I think they cut out scenes since those scenes were shown in the ending credits but not in the show itself.

The best part for me is the romantic OST. The intro rock song was interesting but way too long. It was about 3 and half minutes long and really dragged into the start of the show.

Overall, I started off enjoying the show but it got too draggy. I would ask people to give it a watch and feel free to skip some episodes since you won't miss much.

Aaahhhh cutenesssss

I just loved this drama. The actors are both stunning, found their acting really natural. Their chemistry is also on point.
I just loved the vibe this drama has. It’s so relaxing, no unnecessary drama between the characters, villains etc. It is a realistic love story of two childhood sweethearts. ().
Usually I don’t like these types of dramas, but here the childhood sweethearts trope worked well with the whole story and it was a nice addition to the romance.
I am no scientist to give an opinion about the whole "love experiment" thing and its accuracy in real life lol *this is a drama after all* so I don't mind it. I think it was really creative.
I really appreciate that this drama has almost no dubbing at all. It' s a bonus for me: I usually hate dubbing, feels like it takes some of the authenticity of the acting. I prefer the actors' real voices. In the case of this drama, the male lead's voice is amazing, so glad they kept it authentic like that.
The female lead is so cuuuute. I loved her. Usually I find the female characters in such dramas quite annoying, but here she was just such a sweetheart.
The male lead is so handsome. And aaaahhh, again with this voice. I can’t wait to watch him in more dramas.
P.S. I forgot to mention there is, at a certain point, some heavy topics related to family and child-parents relationship. Still, really well done, made me feel even more empathetic towards the main characters.
Really recommend it!

Wow, I'm a new member here and cannot believe that I am the first to write a review of the Legend of the Condor Heroes 1994. It's a most underrated series that I must have watched over 50 times. If you've read the novel by Jin Yong then you should like this series as its the most accurate adaptation of all the ones I've seen. There's no fluff and draggy scenes. 35 episodes worth of storyline pretty straight out of the novel. Some of the dialogue between the characters were from the novel too. Looking back, Athena Chu did a pretty good job in the lead role as Wong Yung. For me Athena has played the role better than other actresses that I have seen other than Barbara Yung in the 1983 series. Young, pretty, smart and devious. Julian Cheung as Kwok Jing and Gallen Lo as Yeung Hong were respectable male leads. Julian looks heroic and handsome. Gallen looks sly. Suitable for the roles. The costumes I didn't mind. Although putting Kwok Jing in a pink costume at the start was weird... It is what it is for a 90's drama I guess. The ending song by Julian Cheung really ranks up there with some of the best songs in wuxia drama series. Overall it was a well made series. Jin Yong adaptations these days may have breath taking views, slow mo/stop freeze computer generated special effects fighting etc but the storylines just don't cut it. Sometimes simple is best. Also they seem to select weak (sissy) looking male leads that don't look heroic at all... I give this series 9.5 out of 10 and I've consistently watched it again and again in stints. It's 35 episodes so easy to re-watch.
