Well that feeling for 'Ashes of Love' will probably always be in your heart and no other drama shall pass that. Just Love your favourite in past-present and future :))

I saw on your list that you've already watched a lot of the well known wuxia/xianxia dramas :) The one in your PTW list I recommend at this moment is Love Between Fairy and Devil

Thanks @Estelll for consolidating the lists of Historical dramas.  Took me a while to count but I've watched quite a few (mainly Chinese ones).

Chinese completed - 93

Chinese dropped - 6

Korean completed - 20

What do you like most about Ashes of Love?  All the angsty romantic storylines? Innocent FL?  Love triangle?  The 3 realms?

Most of the xianxias have a very similar plot that involves romances, love triangles, 3 realms, and trials.

I personally love "Love and Destiny", "Ancient Love Poetry".  There are also fan favorites like Love Between Fairy and Devil and the recent Starry Love.

I've been rewatching Li Weiyoung (or the Princess Weiyoung) made in 2016, and I have 2 eps to go. The first time I watched  (in 2019) I didn't finish but overall I liked it, however, I can already tell I'm going to hate the ending.

Anyone have any recommendations for historical dramas (I don't mind which country)? I don't really like fantasy, but I like romance and comedy.

I recently completed Joy of Life, and loved it, would highly recommend it. I think it did really well with the comedy part, however with the romance it's not the main focus of the drama and I found it kinda 'meh'.

I watched a lot of these dramas. I love this genre very much. So you should watch The starry love (2023), Immortal Samsara (2022), Miss the dragon (2021), Love and redemption (2020), Novoland: Castle in the sky season 1 and 2 (can be watched separately), Eternal love of dream (2020), Once upon a time in Lingjian mountain (2019), The untamed (2019), The legend of white snake (2019), The legends (2019), An oriental odyssey (2018), Ashes of love (2018), Destiny of white snake (2018), Eternal love (2017) and Noble aspirations season 1 and 2 (but this one doesnt have season 3 which is needed or you have to read novel so this series you should choose when you dont have anything to watch, the last option unless you dont mind open ending).

Do you mean fantasy in terms of immortals and demons and the whole magical powers stuff?

I can put up a list with romance and comedy but it's worth keeping in mind you might see some unrealistic things... like a scene here or there where the character "flies" from the ground to the roof of a building.

Anyways:

My Uncanny Destiny (2023)

Oh My General (2017)

A Girl Like Me (2021)

Perfect Couple (2014)

My Heroic Husband (2021) - time travel element, the male lead travels back in time which is the source of much of the comedy.

Go Princess, Go! (2015) - time travel element. Basically the original Chinese version of Mr. Queen. It is more raunchy and lower budget costume design. They literally have a few minutes where they advertise for some Viagra like product because that was the only way to get the show funded. It's hilarious.

what about eternal love (the one with mark chao)?

Yep that's what I mean. And thanks for the recs! I've watched Mr Queen and loved it, so I did want to try Go Princess Go.
