Some are utter crap, some are Okay +. 

But it is what it is; a treat for us who want to see more of the couples we love.

A short which had infinite promise and could have been beautiful, but fell on a messy production. I still do like it, though. I just don't think it was very qualitative.

Uhm. Horror-parody-something, featuring gay monks? :D Wtf... I think I'll have to watch it just because of the insane description. 

Has a previous installment, but I have no idea whether there are any gay characters in it.

Don't waste your time. The only thing you'll get out of it is a state of "what did I just watch?"

For this short a series, with such a short runtime per episode--this is seriously impressive. The amount of story and emotion that the director managed to pack within those few minutes--without making the end result messy--is surprising. 

It's a simple little thing, and it's not flawless, but it's great. This would have made for an awesome full-length series, there would be so much to explore about these guys and their story--but even in this compact size it tells more, and with greater depth, than many standard runtime dramas. There are quite a few memorable scenes and especially one, concerning a side character, will burn into your memory. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

Acting is great, the chemistry is lovely, the story is engaging and all in all, it should get much more attention than it has gotten. It's just a small little glimpse of a love story, but it's beautiful. 

Production is good for such a small project with limited budget, big plus for some great songs in the OST/score.

Okay, I hate vampire themes. I especially hate vampire themes paired up with BL. 

But this would have been crap even if I DIDN'T hate vampires. 

This is bad. Seriously so. The only redeeming thing would be Fluke, since he's a decent actor.

Uhh. This small mini-drama thingy is absolutely pointless. I didn't expect greatness, I only watched for two reasons; 

One; A glimpse of Phun and Noh in uni--which was... slightly rewarding but mostly disappointing. Just random, shallow and... uhh. And when did Noh turn into a total sharp-clawed bitch?
(It feels like Captain couldn't get into his old role of Noh and accidentally got into his role of Sean, from "Great Men Academy"...)

Second reason; I really like all the four main actors in "Love By Chance", who are all present in this one, in the same two pairings--but as different characters... This would make for a very confusing watch unless one knows beforehand that their characters here have nothing to do with their characters in "Love By Chance"... 

It's shallow, it's stupid, it's more or less a waste of time--but I guess it gives us what it inteded to. I assume that there was no deeper thought behind this whole mess of a mini-drama--other than show off one of the most beloved BL couples ever, as well as give us some more of our two main LBC couples. And it did that. So I can't give the thing an absolute bottom rating.

So... Waiting for this title, I was apprehensive. 

Furukawa Yûki in a BL role? Could work. I've never been a fan, but he did do a pretty good job in "Erased".
How about the manga? Well... it's cute. Mediocre, but cute. 

I finally got my dirty paws on the movie, a while ago.

It's actually really cute, and a good adaptation of the manga :) Furukawa, once again, convinced me that he's actually talented, and not just the annoying dude from sleazy, crappy Shoujo-adaptations. He was pretty fricking adorable in this one :) 

It's innocent, it's grounded, it's simple and it's really, really sweet. Totally in line with Japan's new style in BL--and I really, really love their 180-turn. (Or, perhaps their TWO 180 turns... From plastic manga-crap--to two polar opposites... Everyday love--and dark and twisted...)

I'll admit that I've only watched it unsubbed, so far. There doesn't seem to be any English subs available yet, but they should be out soon. My Japanese is weak, I'm far from skilled enough to be able to pick up more than the rough outlines of dialogue--but I HAVE read the manga, so I'd say I get the picture well enough to be able to rate the flick. 

Definitely worth a watch!

Super-crappy adaptation of a crappy, clichéed yaoi manga. The actual physical BL content is so tame that it's ridiculous, if I remember correctly.

I really don't like the straight storyline nor the male lead, even if I like Cherreen. Considering the fact that the whole plot premise is supposed to revolve around pets and pet rescue, those critters are remarkably sparsely featured in the minds of the characters and the core of the drama. More like, cute props.
(Also--as a life-long pet nut and cat breeder, I also get annoyed at most of the pet-related stuff, because they're mostly stupid and incorrect.)

The BL storyline is okay, but very tame and not very well developed--but it's Off and Gun and those two just belong together in front of a camera.
(I've always thought that they lack in attraction/sexual chemistry, but we haven't really seen them in any roles that have given opportunity for that... Their emotional chemistry, on the other hand, is great.)

This two-part installment isn't exactly a heavy-weight, and is lacking in many departments, but I still do recommend it for anyone who loves the original manga on which it's based. "Seven Days" is one of the most beloved classics in Shounen-ai manga--with good reason. It's just so sweet, light-hearted, fluffy and cute, that you can't help but to love it. 

The movies are flawed, but a good effort. The directing and technical work, as well as the lovely OST, creates an atmosphere that really catches the one from the manga. It becomes a simple movie (x2) but so is the manga. Uncomplicated and cute. 

The biggest issue, or more like; the only big one--is the acting. Hirose Tomoki blows it. He's just not a good actor, period. He tries his best, but it doesn't work. When he isn't overacting, he's stiff and awkward. His co-actor does a better job, but not exactly stellar. (Except in that one scene. "I was thinking about you". If you've read the manga, you know which scene I'm talking about. There, for a moment, he totally shone.)

But overall--if one doesn't take it seriously, it's a cute watch that leaves you with a smile and pink, shiny cotton-candy-fluff feelings.

Movie adaptation of the Shounen-ai manga series "Hidamari ga Kikoeru" ("I hear the Sunspot") by Fumino Yuki. 

Not that good... there are good points. Some acting is decent--some is not, though. The light and "spring-like" atmosphere of the manga is caught well. But the extremely short runtime really makes things weird and everything is kind of just left hanging, considering that the manga had come much further than what the movie covers, already back then.

I seldom say this (since if I don't, I rewatch until I do); I don't get it. 

Or it might just be that there isn't more to get than what I caught. This is STRANGE.
And I mean STRANGE. It feels like it aspires to be so artsy that it totally forgets to actually tell a story that makes sense and can be grasped by the audience. You get what the creators are trying to do, but it's so oddly put together and so pretentious--that it's ridiculous.

The ending scene is guaranteed to be one of the weirdest things you've ever seen. EVER.
I think my eyes went dry from my wide-eyed staring at the screen, when I caught up on what the dude actually was doing.

I can't even give it a rating since I don't know how to rate something like this. 

One of the best BL shorts to come from South Korea, IMO. A simple little story, but with a lot of heart and a very nice, summery atmosphere. Worth a watch.

LGBTQ theme, with one of the MCs being gay.

One of the few "first" BLs that actually had a decent storyline, a platform and surrounding plot on which the love story could stand, and develop within. 

Slightly overrated, since the pacing and a few other small details, could've been better--but it's good and solid enough to never be pushed down from the shelf of classic BL dramas. Acting is very good from almost all involved, especially from the guys in one of the most iconic BL couples ever--Krist & Singto. 

Production is great in terms of all technical aspects and the music and score is edgy and catchy. Which I love. I can't take all the mushy, cheesy "romantic" music which infests all dramas... "Sotus" has some edge and it's a lot thanks to the music, which fits the tough-dude-world-feel to a T. (Yeah, I prefer my BL guys--and settings--really dudish. Variation is good, but often, I miss the more realistic type of guys. I'm fed up with pretty princes. But we get much more of the "normal guys" nowadays. Yay!)

The innocence of this drama, still annoys me to this day. I just can't take it seriously when uni students behave like elementary schoolers. It's too unrealistic. But still--it's good enough to make me forget about it. Almost.

Nowhere near as interesting as the first season, actually quite boring, IMO, but we wanna' see more of the boys, right.
