Lau Kong is a Hongkongese actor and a former contracted artist of TVB.

Lau left Hong Kong for Taiwan to study acting before completing primary school. Originally trained in Peking opera, Lau, at the age of 12, learned about auditions being held in Hong Kong by the Taiwan Peking Opera School. He successfully auditioned and traveled alone to Taiwan to study Peking opera at the Taipei School of Drama for seven years. He delayed his return to Hong Kong by one year and came back in 1966. Due to the difficulty of making a living with Peking opera skills in Hong Kong, he, through the recommendation of his former drama school teacher, joined the Hong Kong film industry as a martial arts instructor.

After serving as a martial arts instructor for several years, he applied to the "Shaw Brothers Southern Drama Training Class." In response to the director of his training class, Kuk Man Chung, mentioning that Shaw Brothers Film Company needed dubbing talent, Lau began to engage in film dubbing work.

On January 14, 2020, his contract expired, marking his official departure from TVB after 38 years of association.
