Osamu's confession on episode 8 offered a hint of light upon his shady figure and with that straight forward and sincere smile he gave to Rikako it's actually the first time we see his... living essence. It was like a renewal of the meaning of life deep inside, the sparkle that fuels the fire. Two broken figures completing one another, away from loneliness into a passionate fulfillment. Εven his place is a small Rikako worshiping temple with the paintings. Needless to say that (on the previous episode) Osamu's portrayal of Rikako to her husband referring to her as a doll was a masterpiece.

That cuddle gorilla toy has become creepy since it became the battering ram of (guilty) truth. The scene at the library was marvelous, when Sawa was talking about being happy if she could see Yuichiro's face from the other side of the river there's a sense of the distance between them, a river in between is distance; and at the same time there was distance between them in the library, but the moment of holding hands overcoming the seemingly small obstacle through the book shelf was beautiful.

Steadily and with every episode the figures get emotionally undressed in front of the audience and the more you understand the more heartrending it becomes. Everyone in the series will be dancing on broken glass from now on.

For some reason Hirugao reminds me of Magnolia, all figures are broken for their own personal reasons and somehow they tend to relate to each other. The difference with Magnolia is that the plot is based more on reality, on the simple daily lives of people coming from all classes without all this Hollywood pluralism and grandeur, a grandeur that is being transferred though the figures, from the least significant to the main roles.

"Insects are said to lack the sense of pain. Organisms experience pain so they can deflect danger and lengthen their lives. But insects live such a short life, they don't need pain. That's one theory. When we're sad and hurt it's because humans were given such long lives. That's what i think."

Woah the trailler was amazing but why do I get the feeling this is one of those dramas where the teaser is a lot…
Yeah, the music is nice, especially the ending theme, it reminds me of Dynasty Warriors the game xD

Man these past 2 episodes were intense. I'm really liking the show more and more and at first I was rooting for…
Yeah, there's electricity trespassing the harmony of the characters in the last two episodes. I liked this drama from the very beginning, but the more it flows the better it becomes and everything makes much more sense as the story processes. I like the twofold innocent lies that walk unnoticed so far in the story playground. The fact that KTH and HYR were a couple in the past and the fact that NHJ and AAR were like brother and sister back in the days in the orphanage before their parting ways in such a vulgar way in such an innocent age. The difference though is that AAR doesn't know who NHJ really is and starts falling for him, whereas NHJ knows who she is and deep inside even if he doesn't want to accept it his emotional empire towards HYR starts trembling. KTH is slightly a jerk indeed, but he's probably the most honest figure in the series so far. And he's "clean" and by saying that i mean, he doesn't see any other woman, he's chasing his blast from the past, but this time he wants to make it work. Plus, i'm really curious about HYR's father's death, there's a curtain of mystery around it, not even her closest friends went to the funeral, they just... heard about it.

Slight improvement with episode 12 as well, try to keep up with it and see if it works for you whenever you don't have anything else to do.

Episodes 1-2 were awesome, episodes from 3 to 10 were dragging in a turtle pace, episode 11 had some progress, haven't seen yet episode 12. But that's my personal opinion, whether you'll start it or not it's your decision. There's quite a hype around this series though. Yet, there are people loving it and people struggling to keep up with it and not dropping it for some weird reason i can't understand, count me in the second category.

-The sky will fall down. You can wait for it.

And i'm looking forward to it!

I like how Joon Ho is protective towards Yoon Sol, i hope they end up together, there's a bizarre chemistry between them. Hyun Min works well on funny and at the same time considerate characters, he was awesome on Witch's Romance and so he is in Discovery of Romance, i'd like to see him on a main role sometime in the future. I like the human zipper nickname on Joon Ho, someone that will keep any secret from coming up to the surface, yet everything escapes from the edge of the zipper sooner or later. Not intentionally though, it's just his tongue running faster than the "block this information from getting heard, please" thought :P

Things are getting heated up and complicated!

The "GO AWAY! KAAAA!" list!
Yeah, at least the story progressed! I've noticed that there's quite a hype concerning this series and it battles with Temptation about which one will be first while airing on Mondays-Tuesdays, to be honest, i can't understand the hype around Night Watchman's Journal so far.

But i like Do Ha's uniform, it looks like pyjamas, making her even cuter xD

Yeah, so far he's just a "righteous" pain in the ass of Lee Rin, something like a voice of logic and reason in a world of humans and ghosts. I don't know why he is a main character either, the two main girls like Lee Rin and he just gets silently pissed off waiting for the right occasion to accuse Lee Rin for something while he's following him in the shadow of the king's orders. Even at his most emotional scenes he's like a iceberg melting slowly from the sun. I don't know if it's the character or Yun Ho, but Moo Seok pins one of my nerves with a needle most of the times. Yet, let's see what this character can offer in the future episodes.

Some action, finally, the story processes a bit, in a shy manner, but it's a process nevertheless. Aigoo, walking around in the town has found a slight meaning! So far it should have been a 16-episode series with this being the 7th episode, but let's see what the 12th episode has to offer later on today!

I don't like Moo Seok as a character, he has no personality, he follows the demented king's words without reasoning whether they are for better or for worse. Had the king told him to stick a dagger made of cucumber up his nose he'd do it without any second thought. What makes me dislike him even more is that he thinks of himself as being a man of reasoning and intelligence, "spitting" here and there "wise phrases" whereas the king's words are the only truth for him. Hopefully enough he will find peace of mind in the following episodes by doubting the given "proof as truth" by seeing the truth with his own mind's eyes. Aish! Redeem yourself, babo!

That evil plague-mistress ghost summarizes pretty well of the image i have in my mind of what your ordinary [usually rich] paranoiac Korean mother-in-law looks like. She's got the looks, the finesse and the crazy stare; what else could a condemned son-in-law (not) ask for?!

The story processes a bit with episode 11. But why did you drop it? I can't find a reason why you should proceed to such a horrendous action!

EDIT:
So as not to be misunderstood, with the last 2 sentences i was being slightly ironic towards the series.

The question is, will this drama stop being meh? xD Yet, if it doesn't and you still marathon it, i'll give you the medal of the Secret Order of Night Watchmen.

At the end of episode 7 when Yuichiro holds Sawa's hand before entering her home is such a beautiful yet heartbreaking…
Sincerity of emotion has lost part of its meaning, yet some dramas tend to remind of how lovely it feels despite the hurt it may cause sometimes. One could see some dramas as a window to something he/she could be missing, let's call it an artistic substitute of emotional purpose.
