You know, sometimes I wonder if fansubbers should just provide their work exclusively in hardsubs format. I don't particularly like hardsubs, but it's the only way that guarantee that people would know that subs are made by volunteers, not by pirate sites. And if they know that, they would probably try to get them directly from the source rather than depending on those dubious sites.

Can't agree more! I know some people think that he overacted in showing, maybe, symptoms of PTSD, but I think it's still in the realms of possibility that someone who had had traumatic experience would act like he did.

I'm not watching this, but it is my understanding that the real Kim Won-bong was a North Korean politician. I guess that's why it's "different dreams".

I'm an idiot who giggled every time he looked at her with teasing, almost smug look on his face. But as much I would love to see an extended make-out scene in later episodes, I do hope that the whole internet and data manipulation thing continue to take center stage.

Toumei na Yurikago is more about OB-Gyn than nurses in particular, but the main character is a nurse apprentice. I can't recommend it highly enough (and I saw that you already have it on your PTW list).

Oooh, I love this article. Thank you so much for writing it. I have yet to watch Missing Noir M and Children of Nobody. They do sound good, but I guess I really have to be in the mood to watch them. Looking forward to Part 2! :)

Yes, that's what I do when I saw dramas that are wrongly tagged.

^This. And since everyone can add tags, sometimes you get dramas that are very obviously wrongly tagged, when you actually watched them.

Watching this drama, I realized how things have changed and how our knowledge has evolved during the last century. The bit about not drinking water to make your body lighter so that you could run easier, the fact that poor Lazaro actually died because he lathered his body in wax to prevent sunburn but ended up preventing perspiration and causing death by hyperthermia, how people saw sports as child's play and not a serious pursuit.

Anyway, I'm enjoying this drama so far. Thank you for the article :)

Another Jdrama about female geeks is Kuragehime (it also has a movie version). The women in that drama are socially inept, though, and their interests are a bit more peculiar. There's a jellyfish nerd (the main character), a kimono enthusiast, a "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" lover, a woman who stan middle-aged man, a train maniac, and a traditional Japanese doll collector.
