for someone (like me) who did part time while attending college, this gave me all the feels. the series is so close to reality #struggleisreal

my only issue with this series is too MANY characters. and each character has its own thing going own so sometimes its hard too keep up with their lives lol. when you are already invested/attached to a certain character then another episode will be spent for another story line, which is sometime frustrating since you cant follow the characters that you just wanted to see.

for the acting, i haven't seen a lot of thai dramas like this but to compare this to lovesick and make it right, the actors here are way way better.

Realistic yet comforting. Beautifully told.

Initially watching the trailer, I thought this series is going to be all hell, drama, angst, and pain. But I couldn't be more wrong.
The whole series was just 8-ep short. If anything I wish it were longer, at least give us 12 eps :( And yet within those 8ep, Moonlight Chicken told complete, satisfying, and beautiful stories about its cast.
However, my favorite thing about the series is how well its conflicts were paced. Yes, this series touched on many difficult situations and the reality of life, many problems and dramas, and yet it did well in pacing the aftermath and resolution to comfort these problems. I've watched way too many shows where a small moment of jealousy or misunderstanding got dragged through countless eps and dramatized to become the main conflict of the series. It is not the case in MLC.
Moreover, each character in the series was made with a nice amount of depth and dimensions. They have their stories, flaws, and personality. All well fleshed-out in my opinion.
So to sum up, I think MLC is like a comforting spot amidst your busy life. You watch them struggle and you watch them heal. It is a very beautiful and meaningful show, please watch it!

I've been wanting to watch something with Lee Min Ki ever since his cameo in Shut Up Flower Boy Band won me over. After watching Spellbound and now Dal Ja's Spring - I can honestly call myself a fan wanting to see more with him :D

To be honest, other than knowing I'd love Min Ki in this drama, I really had no expectations. I didn't really even pay attention to what the storyline was about before I started watching it. I just heard it was good and decided I must watch it. I haven't been this hooked on a drama in a long time - I watched it all in 4 days! I put everything else on hold and watched nothing but Dal Ja's Spring. I found the story that captivating.

By the end of the first episode I knew I'd love it. There was just something about it.... it's more than just your typical love story, it's more than a standard rom-com, it's more than a bunch of cliche's tossed together. And yes this drama definitely did follow the standard Kdrama cliches - but it added something original to it. The story was also more on the mature level, Dal Ja's narrations about life and people were the type that made me sit back and think.

The acting was really great! This was my first drama with Chae Rim but I thought she did an excellent job as Dal Ja. And Lee Min Ki was wonderful as well. I loved the chemistry they both had with each other - yet another reason to watch this drama (:

Also - the side characters were great as well. In the first episode you find yourself not liking Sae Do and Seon Joo, but as the episodes progress it's hard not to! I loved the relationships they all had, the friendships!

I found myself really loving a few songs off of the soundtrack - while others fit with the drama but didn't really catch on to me. My favorite is definitely the "Sha la la la la" song ("Take My Hand and Hold It")

I can definitely see myself rewatching this drama. I just finished it and I'm already missing it. This is one of those drama series that became a favorite very fast and one I'd love to own on DVD.

Overall? I think this is an underrated drama - if I hadn't of heard of Lee Min Ki and if I hadn't of seen a few people talking about it, then I might never of gotten the chance to watch this great drama! Yes, the drama is 5 years old. But don't let that turn you off from watching it. It's a refreshing type of drama - and different from your typical Kdrama. I highly recommend watching it. Even if it doesn't become one of your favorites, I'm sure there's a high possibility of at least liking it and enjoying it (:

There's a lot of sweet moments, funny moments, just overall great moments. Also, I found it hilarious how they used random music in scenes.

Don't think - just watch (:

This story was super cute. With puppies and kitties and sweet innocent love. Most of the cast seems to be pretty new to acting but as the story went on they did a better job. The music was fun and catchy.

There is no synopsis listed so:

Basically the main boy is in danger of having his school club shut down so he and his best friend try to recruit the main girl and her best friend to be members since her uncle is the Dean of the school. The catch--she loves cats but is afraid of dogs. Will this be the end of his Dog and Cat club or the start of a new adventure for both boys?

Excellent screenplay and top class acting

Large scale of real historical events told with an excellent screenplay that is great in details and heavy in suspense. It is more towards story focused instead of action focused, and the storyline is actually quite complicated to present but it was done really precisely, somehow they've made the plot easy to follow and characters' motivation very clear to understand. Huge plus from the acting performances, all the actors are absolutely top class and the movie works so great mainly due to those intense face-offs, so much stakes on screen but so meticulously arranged, simply unbelievable.

OH MY FCKING GOD

This is the first time I've ever rated any show as a 10. the pilot was really interesting so this was one of my most anticipated dramas. it has a new concept that hasn't been seen in any other gls. body switching isn't an easy storyline to act out. but Pam and arhoung both did such an amazing job at portraying both the characters. I was able to distinguish the characters so well every single time. and the production is amazing. high quality dialogues and script. both the main couple and the second couple are eye catching. and both of them have INSANE chemistry. definitely my favorite gl of 2025.

I mean...I've really never watched anything like this. It was something ENTIRELY new, so that kept me on my toes. Of course, I personally wish this was longer, not only because I liked how unpredictable and fascinating the drama was, but also because I after episode 9, I really wondered how they were going to wrap up the whole thing in a single episode (what with there being so many knots and tangles yet to be unraveled), and I was right, one episode was not nearly enough, but good enough, I suppose.

And errr, probably another selfish reason why I wanted the show to go on is because the lead actor is quite possibly one of the most talented and handsome actors out there. And his CHEMISTRY, jesus. He and Aoi literally SMOLDER while together, the pure sexual tension between them primarily springing from how insanely sensual and sexually charged his eyes and body language are. Good lord, you need a fan to cool yourself down.

I don’t want to run away anymore

A movie that tells a story about a teenage boy who ends up in prison, meets a boxer champion and grow as a person.

This movie is actually based on a Webtoon which I’m a fan of, which is why I felt that the movie fell short in comparison to it.

One reason was how they edited the story setup. Without much spoilers, I felt that the character of cha woo sol in the movie is slightly different than the Webtoon in terms of how he got himself into jail. But if you didn’t read the Webtoon, you would be fine! Though, there are other changes which I like, which is giving my man wi ha joon more screentime, loved his backstory!! Overall, apart from mc setup, the rest of the plot stayed true to the Webtoon. And all the actors did an awesome job portraying their characters and most of them look like the characters in the Webtoon. It really felt like the characters came to life which is 👍🏻👍🏻!

However, I felt that the scenes in the movie were way too short, and I couldn’t feel myself immerse in it. Like once I got in, it was time to move on to the next cut/ scene, takes me out of the story. Maybe because it’s a movie, they packed a lot of scenes so to make it less boring. But I would appreciate if the scenes were longer so I can invest my emotions to the characters.

The actions scenes were great! I liked how it was shot, the sound effects made me wince in pain (with the characters) and I loved the background music while they fight. Though it can be more gruesome given the tone of the movie and plot. And there are a few actions scenes that were cut awkwardly and didn’t really connect leaving me confused. But overall a decent movie with good action scenes!!

This movie illustrates the first arc in the Webtoon, I wondered how they would end it in the movie. And I’m satisfied they ended it in this way!

Although the movie fell short in comparison to the Webtoon, the movie delivers a tightly woven story with good acting, action scenes, a little humor and heartwarming in a place like prison. Probably won’t rewatch it in the future, but if they ever have a 2nd movie, I would be the first to watch 😉! Thank you for reading until the end, hope you enjoy the movie!!

STORY: This is a crazy love triangle and the movie tells you that in the first 60 seconds. The story is well written and I like that it starts (after the 60 seconds) with a nice couple who are in a long-term relationship and living happily together. That seems so rare in BL dramas. Well, it doesn't last long as Wan gets a job and falls for his amazing boss, Ohm. Things go to hell real quick after that. As much as I detest cheating and infidelity, the story is compelling all the way to the end. The ending was powerful and abrupt but not sad nor happy.

ACTING/CAST: WOW, these guys are smokin' HOT. Good actors too, all mature. The sexual tension between the actors was palpable.

MUSIC: It was good for this drama, very polished.

REWATCH VALUE: Yeah, might watch it again with a friend cause I'd like to see the eye candy again.

OVERALL: I can't stand the love triangle stuff but this movie does have a high production value. It's sexy and slick with great cinematography.

An evocative and powerful contemplation of war, honor, pragmatism, and defeat

This is my personal favorite Korean film and I consider this to be one of the best films I’ve seen from any country. I admit it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. It’s long and it’s not some Hollywood-esque war movie full of action and heroics. It’s a rather quiet and understated look at people in a dire situation being forced to choose between honor and pragmatism and come to terms with the fact that they’ve lost the war (I don’t consider this a spoiler, because the Korean audience would know this from the outset). It’s about the responsibility of leaders and the suffering of soldiers. Though rather bleak, it’s not depressing or entirely without hope.

Hwang Dong Hyuk, who both wrote and a directed this film, has constructed a powerful and compelling work. There were scenes, images, and lines that lingered with me long after the credits rolled.

It’s quite dialogue-heavy for a war movie, as this story is really centered around ministers’ debates before the king, while the soldiers endure the cold, at the mercy of the king’s final decision. This may sound boring, but there is real tension and emotion in these scenes, especially as they build towards the climax. This is a film that takes its time, rather than moving rapidly from one action sequence to the next. Its depiction of enduring through a long siege in the dead of winter often pauses on the mundane; the king getting dressed, soldiers trudging through the snow. But these details are important to the storytelling and are part of the reason the audience at times feels that they are living this experience as well.

The acting is excellent. Park Hae Il plays a conflicted king, backed into a corner where he has no good options, while Lee Byung Hun and Kim Yoon Seok offer moving performances as ideologically opposed ministers. You can truly feel the weight of their characters’ beliefs and concerns for their country. There is more depth of emotion in these portrayals than you might initially expect from these rather stoic old men.

The soundtrack, composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto, is frequently more atmospheric than melodic. Silence, punctuated by eire, icy winds, often envelops life at the fortress. In these parts, instrumentation is used sparingly. During the battle sequences the music becomes heavy, tense, and dissonant. In the moments the soundtrack does turn towards melody, it is gorgeous and poignant, though still has a slowness and vastness suited to the gravity of the events and setting. The cinematography by Kim Ji Yong is also perfectly suited to evoking the starkness of the situation. Somber silhouettes, snowy landscapes, and bleak colors dominate this film. These images are offset by warm-toned, fire-lit shots that offer contrast, so that when the warmth is absent, you feel the coldness even more.

Though the action scenes are well-executed, if you go into this film expecting glory and epic battles, you’re sure to be disappointed. This is a film that explores contrasting ideologies, the king’s responsibility to his people, and how the decisions of leaders impact those below them. If you’re seeking an antidote to overly-glorified all-action-no-substance portrayals of war, this realistic and contemplative film is likely what you’re looking for.

Content warning: This film is a bit gory at points (though I am someone who is pretty sensitive to those things). However, these scenes are used somewhat sparingly, and the violence is not gratuitous, rather it is used to depict the harsh reality of war.

A Masterpiece underated. Don't miss it !! (à consommer sans modération)

This drama came out very discreetly and I discovered it by chance. I watched it for Kim Jae Wook, who is in my eyes one of the most beautiful, talented Korean actors (multi-talented, although in this series, he even agrees to sing badly :) and who knows how to select his roles (which is far from being the case for all Korean stars).

How did it to pass under the radar??? It is an almost perfect masterpiece! After a "16 hours drama marathon", it entered directly into my ALL TIMES TOP 10 of KDramas...

ACTING:
One of the best roles of ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤ Kim Jae Wook ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤ (still so beautiful and hot) and a real discovery of Krystall's talent (whom I had seen in other dramas, but who didn't impress me more than that).
The other actors are also excellent and their characters are developed with delicacy and intelligence.
Just a remark on Yoo In Young: why is she always confined to FL2 characters, beautiful, rich, a little neurotic and obsessive?

STORY:
I'm quite a fan of hate-love and Office Romance, so the plot had everything to please me. But this drama has never ceased to bring me happy surprises. The story is remarkably well written, without the usual cliches (except the return of the rich and stubborn ex :).
It's an intelligently dosed mix of romance, suspense, humor, with just enough clues to support the rest of the story. The ships are particularly lovely (great kissing scenes :) and I appreciate the trust and maturity of the relationship within the CL.

What more can I add to make you want to see it?
- The realization is dynamic, neat, clear.
- Even the OSTs are excellent!!

I rarely rewatch the series because there are always so many new dramas coming out, but I will watch this drama (probably several times) again because it is a REAL pleasure to consume without moderation).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why woman love? Could be because apparantly they are incomplete without a man?

This drama seems to be some kind of tutorial towards how to win the heart of a woman, could also be the heart of a man... But after watching 24 episodes I can not tell you why women love... If you figure it out please do feel free to tell me, but apparently women who get married choose to give their all to the man they marry and that is also apparently worth waiting for... A strange message in a drama that seems to try to empower women... But besides that the most important thing seems to be sincerity wether it is love, friendship or work... Be sincere and love will prevail... or something like that.

@ Things I like about this drama:

-The friendships, most of the characters are lovable and even if there are a few characters that seem to need help, there are no really truly annoying characters.

-The humour, there is not a lot of it, but this does have some pretty gunny scenes here and there with good fun bickering humour.

-The Male lead is a sweetheart, fine he is a bit of a spoiled brat in the beginning but he is a sweet spoiled brat, not afraid to show affection, take charge... go on the thing line between persistence and stalking... ok maybe he is not that perfect but he is mostly nice, patient and understanding... and does not force himself on the girl even once.

-The female lead is kind of bland but does have her moments, the combination of the two is pretty good and the best part about her is that even if she is supposed to be stupid in love she is actually pretty smart... Shocking for a C-drama I know!

-The OST is pretty good (maybe a bit overused, for those who binge, but pretty decent)

@Things that bothered me:

-The Second Female lead... How her delusional, clingy... behaviour was not only accepted but enabled by the people around her.

-The 9999999 PUBLIC love confessions with flowers, balloons and what not... For a drama promoting sincerity... there are ways to show sincerity without involving pollen and peer pressure.

-The endless love monologs... We got it you love her, you love him...

- Endless flashbacks the dram would be several hours shorter if they just cut the flashbacks in half.

-Inconsistency... one moment the guy knows the girl is allergic to flowers the next he buys her a huge flower bukeet ...

-Extremely heteronormative Family, Couples propaganda ish... Fine a woman can take charge but she does seem to need a man to be complete, and She is allowed to be a career woman but again, she needs a man... Did I mention that no woman is complete without a man?

So to sum it up, it was okay, nothing really new and the few parts that had potential to be revolutionary fell short... But I have seen a lot worse and it is pretty funny, and do not forget all the good stuff I mentioned above so it is definitely an okay watch.

Bingeabilaty: Ok but not high

If you like romance, this is the drama for you. Love conquers all is the main theme. The main characters are gorgeous. I was not familiar with Ahn Jae Wook, but he blew me away with his passion! Of course, as with all dramas, there are the annoying antagonists that you want to strangle.

The story was not unique, however, I like some of these older dramas because they have more realistic love scenes. No chicken peck kisses. I actually enjoyed when they replayed the love scenes to the beautiful, haunting music. My only complaint is that the writer didn't tie up all the complications at the end, although the ending was beautiful and memorable.

This is a "feel good" romance drama that you will want to rewatch.

I just finished watching the series 2 minutes ago. All I can say is: OMG!

At first, I was very hesitant to watch the drama since I thought it would be disappointing one. I read lots and lots of reviews about this and they all said it was good. Now, well look at me, i'm writing a review about this already.

This drama may not have the very satisfying or perfect ending but at least we can formulate our own ending.

This drama will make you laugh --- a lot; and cry --- a lot too.

It doesn't have the best romance, the best acting, the best music or whatever but I can say they have the best bonding and will surely touch your hearts. ;)

Watch this drama and you won't regret it.

At first, I was like, "why would they even put Dae Sung in this drama?" Although his character doesn't contribute much to the main idea of the drama, his real personality was shown and thus making the drama more fun.

Park Tae Hee is cute too. Oh Doo Ri will be the next Yoon Eun Hye. Im Joo Hwan (Jang Jae Hun), I will wait for you to finish your service and film WHAT'S UP VOLUME 2! :D

I really didn’t want to like this drama. However somehow the cuteness sucked me in and before I knew it I was totally invested. To me that is a great drama- One that makes you like it and relate to it no matter how different the characters are from you. Essentially this is a great must watch drama.
I can generally see the plot for the whole drama after the first episode or two. I can gather who is going to die and who is the culprit. What I liked about Wild Romance was that I couldn’t tell what was going to happen until the writers gave a hint. Although it is a rom-com there is some really intensive mystery going on, which really kept the plot going and moving. Kudos to the writers for not just relying on the romance to move things along! Although some characters were better played than others I really did like the majority of the characters that were introduced. I felt like the main and supporting characters all had depth that showed as the drama progressed. (I.E. Kim Dong Ho’s role as the Manager). I really fell in love with Lee Si young who played Eun Jae, she was one of those female leads who didn’t change herself for love, she found love just the way she was. I totally loved how really vulnerable she was the whole way through the drama, and how naturally Si Young seemed to play up that aspect.
The main reason I didn’t want to watch Wild Romance was because I was positive the Eun Jae character was going to be all talk. (I was wrong) Next I was sure the Park Moo Yul character would come to love her after some kind of see her naked scene, or she would save a loved one. (I was happily wrong as well) Lastly I didn’t want to watch because I started to feel really embarrassed for Eun Jae, and the more I felt bad for her (ep 4-5) the less I watched. I pushed through it and found it more enjoyable than I thought. Now I will admit to fast forwarding through long looks at each other, some baseball talk (though I learned a lot!) and some of the “searching” scenes. There were a lot of “searching” scenes.
Overall I am glad I watched this one all the way through. I like to see a character who feels like they don’t deserve love, win it on their own terms. That’s what happened with our Eun Jae, and that should give inspiration to many a girls who try to change themselves. Although there wasn’t much eye candy, there were a few bare chested men throughout so I am okay. I hope those who have put this down pick it back up because it certainly gets sweeter, better, and the ending is not what you think!
