Made it to look Funny........But felt Cringe.......

I watched it(Marry Go Round) because I really liked "Destiny Seeker"(with same leads). Considering the runtime and the episodes it just felt like a movie with a routine Thai drama story and nothing new. According to me, the entire team tried to make us laugh but it did not work out.

One thing I would like to address is that visuals are good, but the acting felt so cringe and a bit exaggerating. Except for Earth, I think his character is somewhat okay(bearable). But the climax where the parents accept their relationship is somewhat emotional and felt worth watching the climax.

After watching it I only wanted to say to the cast in the drama that "Communication is the key to every relationship". If only they talked to each other this whole story would have ended in 40 mins of runtime. One misunderstanding lead to the whole fake marriage thing.

One commendable thing is that even though it is a two episode drama they tried to make it look lavish and did not compromise on the budget. The leads are really great actors. Hope to see them in a drama with a strong story instead of a drama special. Wishing them the best for their future endeavours.

P.S. - Watch it at your own risk!!! Cause this is not everyone's cup of tea.

romanticize sexual assault?

I dropped this series after only two episodes. That’s the case because it was pretty clear this show didn’t have the right values.
In the first episode Type gets sexually assaulted in his drunken sleep.
In the second episode Tharp once again tries to sexually molest him. Only when Type has a breakdown Tharn stops.
I’ve googles this series to see if it gets better but apparently there are just more times where Tharn tries to force sexual situations on Type.
The series doesn’t even address this though and rather covers it up as a prank or a cute little moment.
This stuff just aggravates me because there are many people out there that had to deal with rape or sexual assault and it’s everything but cute or funny!

TL;DR? If you hate plot holes and need more than a subtle hint of romance, take a pass. If you can suspend disbelief and not take a drama very seriously, this might be for you!

There are a couple things I want to get out of the way before I start the actual review of the drama.

First, man am I super susceptible to advertising. This isn’t really a new discovery, as back when the fans tried to save chuck by begging Subway for product placement, I learned real quick that just seeing someone eat a subway sandwich was enough for me to go out and buy one. So, if you’ve ever wondered if product placement ever actually works on people, this jerk right here will fall for it! And man, there was a lot of product placement in this drama, so be ready.

Second, I think this drama should come with a warning label for your ovaries. My biological clock appreciated the heck out of watching So Ji Sub lovingly play with those kids.

Ok, so now that that is out of the way, on to reviewing the drama. There seems to be a pretty mixed bag of opinions in the comment section, and honestly, I can’t find fault with either side. Terrius had a lot of issues that kept it from being perfect, but I can also see how it would be easy for someone to go in expecting a comedy and not looking for plot holes to thoroughly enjoy it.

Cause first and foremost, this is a comedy drama, and the spy and action stuff is kind of thrown in as an afterthought. There are a lot of plot holes and a good dose of bad writing, but for the most part, the characters genuinely are easy to love and root for. The spy stuff was ridiculous and mostly unbelievable, and the twists were obvious from very early on.

So, hopefully I’ve cleared things up for people who are going to go into this for the spy angle. Let’s talk about the romance angle. A lot of people have said there isn’t any romance, and that is true. You don’t get a traditional romance, you don’t get any pda at all. But that’s not to say it’s devoid of romance. It is made pretty clear that they care a lot for each other. It’s just never expressly said or physically shown.

Another disappointment is So Ji Sub’s character. It’s just incredibly one note and flat. I have been really impressed with him in other dramas prior to this one, but here it felt like he never connected with the character, and so I never connected with the character. I’m not sure where the blame lies, if it is a writing problem, or an acting problem, but it definitely detracted from the drama.

Still with me? Cause that’s a lot of negative, and there really is some bright gems in this story that make it worth watching.

First, the extended cast is just hilarious. It wasn’t hard not to fall for all of the side characters. The kids were adorable, the KIS squad was hilarious and even the NIS team had quite a bit of cuteness in the form of Ra Do Woo.

Second, it’s So Ji Sub and twins. What’s not to love there?

Third, it was just flat out funny! Not all of the time, but enough that it kept the story moving at a fast pace and helped disguise some of the little plot holes that were cropping up everywhere.

All in all, this isn’t the worst drama I’ve ever watched, but it’s also far from the best. If you are good at suspending disbelief and don’t need your plots to make a lot of sense, check this out! If not, there are certainly better written/acted dramas out there.

Watch this show only if you like slapstick comedy

I began watching this series because of the male lead, Park Hyung-sik, after enjoying his performance in Hwarang. He is a pretty boy but must have really needed the money to agree to star in this ridiculous show. There was no chemistry between him and the female lead. They are supposed to be in their late 20's, yet both of them have the mental and emotional intelligence of 15-year old high school teenagers.

The only real adults in the show were the detective friend, the female lead's brother and their father (only after he stopped taking the psychological and physical abuse from the mother). Everyone else in the show were clowns.

It baffles me as to why single young women would venture out alone late at night, knowing that a serial kidnapper and murderer was lurking in their neighborhood. Even the female lead's best friend who was already attacked once by the kidnapper later continued to walk the streets alone - not the sharpest tool in the shed!

The show could have been condensed to 10 episodes, but the director and producers stretched it out to 16 episodes full of totally unnecessary nonsense. I found myself hitting the fast-forward button many times after episode 10 and didn't miss any of the storyline.

I would not recommend this show.

S3 leaves a bittersweet taste but exceeds S2 in many good ways.

STORY:
The show has already gone different from webtoon in S2 so I wasn't sure how S3 will pan out and end but can say it didn't disappoint for most part even though I would have preferred had they gone by webtoon and ended it that way. The showrunners did one really good thing with this season and that was to not make it too messy just like S2. Things were kept at a good pace and weren't dragged unnecessarily.

ACTING:
Acting wise it was done phenomenally. Everyone did total justice to their roles be it the protagonists or antagonists. Song Kang nailed it with his portrayal of both Hyun Soo and his monster side. For me this time Min Si was the best in this season when it comes to showing off emotions, as she did so well showing her pain, desperation and sadness. Lee Si Young as a mother with conflicting emotions filled with desperation, guilt, pain and her relationship arc with her daughter was well executed.
Even Hong Suzu acted well in this drama than she did in "IH" so kudos to her on that.

PRODUCTION:
The production value was big and it showed quite well. The difference between S1 and S3 in terms of VFX and sets is quite visible.

ENDING/ FINALE:
It wasn't satisfactory but wasn't bad too. There are story arcs that could have been concluded way better had they gone by webtoon but then again the drama went in a different route way back. It is bittersweet to say the least.

What a gem.

I had actually started watching the first ep when it was an on-going drama, but when I realized it was about forensic pathology, I got sort of creeped out and dropped it, so glad I listened to one of the recent reviews that was left on here. I was looking for something to watch and so I restarted watching it.
I BINGED IT FROM LATE NIGHT TO EARLY MORNING.

Each episode literally got better and better, and the cast lineup was amazing.
Satomi Ishihara and Kubota Masataka were originally what pulled me in. Those two together had great chemistry. I hope they work together in the future again!

Supposedly there's a second season coming because the last episode said that their journey was to be continued. So super excited to watch that whenever it airs.

Great Drama.

This Korean drama is a total package you will laugh, cry, feel excited, and motivated at the same time. It's not your typically office romance because you will learn every episode it teaches us about life, friendship, family and what are the ups and downs in starting a business. I really loved the intro of this show the colorful palette and how they present the "swing girl" and reveal her meaning throughout the show.

And what I've learned in watching this show is:

1. It's okay to fail. In life whether you're in your 20s or 40s we always encounter failure. Just like Nam Do Sam the computer genius but not a perfect CEO, and Seo Dal Mi she started a business at first, then she fail. We tend to consider mistakes as a closing door but sometimes life is very tricky, just like in a competition there are two types of losers. One that accepts that he/she lost and moved on because they learned that its not their endgame and the one that see it not a lost but an opportunity to build another and at the end they both become successful.

2. Family is everywhere. Han Ji Pyeong don't have a family and living by himself but he finds a family with Halmeoni (Choi Won Deok).

3. Perfect does not exist. What you really see is not what really is, the characters of Won In Jae, Han Ji Pyeong, Won Doo Jung, and, Cha A Hyun at first you see that they have everything but deep inside there all incomplete and not happy.

4. Building a business is like riding a roller coaster, It only goes up and down my friend. Winning a contract is not your always, criticism is everywhere that brings you down in a blink of an eye. And not all the time you are stable, remember the sea is not calm all the time. Based on the show in starting a business you need to be brave in order to take risk in any given situation.

5. Always learn to forgive. Forgiveness can be the hardest but at the end it will take you to peace.

6. Learn to Connect and Reconnect. Have you realize that what if your story is connected to other people stories? Its one of the things I like in this drama how they present the "storytelling part" how the characters is connected to one another. I admired how they write the story of Han Ji Pyeong and Halmeoni they left off in a bad state but through Seo Dal Mi, Han Ji Pyeong learns to reconnect to Halmeoni once again.

7. Be the 'Good One'. Whatever happens always choose to be the good person and help other people it doesn't matter if its big or small doing one good deed at a time gives a great impact to our society and humanity.

Fave dating reality show so far!

Woah... This was such an enjoyable and distressing watch. Don't expect anything but pain from this.
It is one of those shows that you just watch expecting nothing but quick entertainment but ends up leaving you thinking about it more than expected. Honestly, this is the first time I've cried with a Korean dating reality show, it was such an experience seeing the different layers regarding a breakup aftermath and how all the couples dealt with it.

Personally, there were some of their stories I could relate a lot and by putting me on a spectator point of view had me retrospect so much about my own experiences as well, so much I was able to understand my past experiences even more and kind of made me feel nostalgic like they were feeling all the time. Please, if you enjoy realistic sort of dating shows and pain go watch it, no doubts, especially now that finally subtitles are available.

Needless to say, my heart still aches for some of them...

Enjoyable but forgettable

I have seen previous works of the main leads. They are both good actors. The premise sounded interesting, the CGI was nice. This is my cup of tea, even though the conecpt is pretty old and overdone. Fighting some mysterious creature/virus/alien in space, doing some mysterious, dangerous and inhuman research, a dystopian world, humans on the way to save humanity - that's not new. The whole idea about the luna water was pretty unique, though. In general I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. I binged it in one day. Still the plot felt empty. Many things didn't make sense. At the end I was wondering what did I even watch? There was no real conclusion. It's the kind of space survival movie, where most of the crew doesn't make it. Despite the whole series being rather pointless and forgettable (also a bit depressing), it was an interesting watch, and worth my time.

This was way out of my comfort zone. There was hints of romance but no romance developed because the story was more about the mystery and thriller/suspense.

Some parts of the movie for me were a bit unrealistic but I guess that's the reason we all watch them. :D

Great acting from all the cast - I was indeed scared for the most of this movie. Maybe not a good idea watching it past midnight just before bedtime. :P

Personally, this is a one time view for me but it's great for viewers who enjoy a mixture of mystery, thriller/suspense.

This drama is an older one so that might be the reason it is underrated. The story is brilliantly written. There are twists and the story keeps you guessing right to the very end. You will have an OMG moment LOL. The cast is also unknown but they all played thier parts extremely well. I don't know what else to say other than it's a beautiful drama. The music is fun because its all ABBA songs which adds to the mood of the show.

When I stumbled upon the New Year Special of GTO, I didn't really know what to expect because the first special was good, but not as appealing as the show. However, when I watched the new special, I was brought back to what made GTO 2012 so good for me, the mix of funny with the serious (which I felt was less evident in the last special).

One of the reasons I enjoyed the new special was for its good storyline. Being able to utilize Saejima and Ryuji in a greater role was always a hope for the series as a whole, so bringing those two in more made me appreciate the story more. Also, the story didn't fail in bringing in some rather serious issues but in a relatable way.

Of course, the cast was good as always, but I think that with the more consistent story, Onizuka and co. acted a bit better, and we finally get to see Yamamoto Yusuke and Shirota Yu used to further the plot rather than as caricatures (even if Saejima is a natural caricature).

One thing I enjoyed most about the special was its bawdier moments, which were often brought on more by misunderstandings than anything else. These parts were funny (especially the moments between Kanzaki and Fuyutsuki).

Overall, I enjoyed the New Year's special and cannot wait for the graduation special this spring. I'm certainly going to rewatch this later.

Great miniseries

The story might not be new with two main leads competing in sports but that's absolutely okay because the drama is entertaining. I laughed a lot in the first episode, the humor was exactly my cup of tea.

For those looking for bromance, well, I see why it's tagged as such because there are scenes of three boys sleeping in one room and accidentally end up cuddling but calling it a bromance is misinterpreting. This drama has no bromance like you see in Goblin or other dramas. It's more like a friendship and sharing the same passion, short track speed skating. That's not a minus though.

The story is perfectly paced in the four episodes. I was a bit sad when it was over, in length it's more like a movie than a drama.
With a bit more focus and backstory on side characters and more scenes of their competitions and trainings it could totally be a longer drama.

The characters are well written and likeable. We even get bits of character development which I don't take for granted in a short drama with only four episodes, even though the shortness makes this development seem a bit abrupt.

In my opinion the cast did a great job. I didn't see any flaws or bad acting.

As for the music, the main theme got into my ears rather fast because the tune is catchy. So definitely another plus.

Would rewatch this drama anytime when I'm in need of something entertaining and light.
Overall a really good watch that I wholeheartedly recommend to check out.

This drama just has everything I liked. It had a beginning, a middle/climax point, and a good pace ending. Everything that was presented as a problem in this drama was answered and solved. There were no plot holes for me as everything connected to one another. Even the mini stories of the ghosts had a beginning and ending. I like this because a lot of times when dramas goes to this format, they can leave some mini stories on a cliffhanger but this drama didn't do that and I give kudos to the writers for the detailed writing and scenes. Even the last episode flowed so well that it didn't felt rushed and it was a satisfying ending.

Now there's no romance though, despite me seeing the connection and chemistry between our leads. I did wish for at least some scenes for this but at the same time I was okay with it as well because the story was the main focus for this drama.

Music wise, the osts were good but not one I would add to my playlist. I kind of wished multiple osts were played often in this drama. Instead, I think I heard more of the same song in each episode.

Overall, this drama is definitely one of my favorites for 2021 just because the plot was well written, ending was well pace and not rushed, and the scenes and visuals looked very cool. Everything was well thought out.

Such a feel good show, the doc was just funny. From ep 1 to the end he always falls in love with someone new then wnds up saying "i dr kota will leave this boat " then in the end ends up giving mako chan a gift that he had bought. And whats up with the slipper, (act properly) always shows up out of nowhere. There shoulda been at least 1 more episode so we know what the future came to be. The cooks were just a mess and the leader was such a woos. Anyways short and sweet episodes
