I simply started this drama on a whim, this was never originally on my PTW. But I'm so glad that I decided to watch it, because otherwise I would have missed out on such an epic drama.
Why you should give this a chance?
- One of the reasons I was hesitating watching this drama was because I thought it would be too "serious" for me. But like I said, it turned out to be really fun. There's still an underlying tone of seriousness, which is important for the show, mainly because it deals with subjects like infidelity, bullying, domestic violence etc. However, instead of having the dark, sombre energy that I first expected going into this series, this has more of a vibrant energy. Which might be easier for viewers to get into.
- The main characters: 3 strong women, and 1 country boy.
Jung Hye is a chaebol daughter, who is a straightforward and composed woman. Yet there's this vulnerability and innocence about her.
Mi Sook is a calm and subdued housewife, whose husband is a famous professor. She's probably the most rational one amongst all the other members, and never lets them go overboard with their revenge.
Hong Do is the eldest member of the Bok Ja club. She is the most courageous one amongst all the other members. She' always takes care of the other members, like her own family.
Soo Byum is the maknae of the group. Through various circumstances, he later on joins in the club too.
- The sismance is so strong here! Despite the fact that they have completely different personalities, they become a family together. They cheer each other on, they rely on each other, they support each other. Their relationship is one of, if not, the best thing about this drama. The Bokja Club unnies have become my favorite sismance!
- This drama is #SQUAD-GOALS! Although these four people met randomly, they had crazy good chemistry with each other. I loved how well they worked together. Each had their specefic roles. The witty one, the courageous one, the reliable one, and the straightforward one. Together, they formed one of the best squads I have seen in a drama. They came up with so unique, interesting and just plain awesome ideas to take revenge. I loved this squad!
- There's even a minor bromance going on with Hee Soo & Soo Byum, which I found adorable. And there are hints of romance speckled in too, just in case you were wondering.
If you're like me and for some reason hesitating to watch this drama, my advise to you is- give it a go. You never know, you might just come to love this like I did. I personally think this is one of those dramas that you shouldn't pass off. So I hope you give this drama a chance! Happy Watching!!

Personally, I found Yoon Sol's interest strange, but if you look at it lightly, if you don't actually take it serious, it's easy to brush aside. She has a very bubbly, energetic personality, although she's oblivious to many, many things - as your usual young female romance protagonist. Hae Young, her friendly and shy best friend, is just as charming as the male leads you find in this type of troop. The rest of the cast was okay.
There are many aspects to appreciate in this little web drama: even if the premise was weird, it's original; the drama is fun, entertaining, even if it can become frustrating since it was easily predictable; the attention paid to a certain side couple was interesting and fresh (and I wish they had done another couple's experience while they were at it) and... I have to say it... that kiss scene... I never care for those but I can't write a review without slow clapping that kissing scene. Best off 2020 so far (as if we're that far into 2020 lol).
(Sort of Spoilery part!) One thing that threw me off was Hae Young's character development. Although it did happen, and we did have key moments of said development shown to us, the way the writers closed off the narrative oh-so-neatly in the last episode left me with a bittersweet feeling. Other than that, the pacing was good.

Ultimately flawed.
The show had good intentions, but ultimately flawed. With so many variables and ineffective challenges, there is no way they can say they found the absolute best physique or specimen out of all contestants.
In my opinion, it's not a show entirely focused on actually and accurately finding the perfect body.
Many good contestants and top athletes were eliminated too early without having the chance to showcase their true abilities, and also some developed injuries which also did not help.
The team challenges sets were incredible. And while were most exciting and fun to watch, did little to actually single out the best of the best. Rather I saw it as them wanting to slash down on contestants.
My biggest gripe was the final episode. So much momentum and excitement was built only to be letdown on the finale. Not because I didn't like the finalists, but I felt the challenges were lazily put together. I expected a lot more especially for the chance to win a quarter-million dollars.
Some, if not most of the games were just to create a wow-factor or to stir excitement, rather than set out to actually determine the best physique among contestants. If that were the case, there would be more one-on-one challenges.
It's a good watch to burn time and but I wouldn't take this show too seriously because there's just way too many variables and too many flaws.

Ximen Lichen + Bo Wang = Ling Shi Jin
I’ve been waiting for this to be in MDL for F O R E V E R and it’s finally here! I’m currently in a Zhao Zhendong binge and when I saw him with Zhang Shan, I instantly looked for it (and boy it was so hard to find).LIKES:
1. ML - this is my kind of Zhao Zhendong roles. The flirty, shameless kind who will do anything for the person he loves. Like what I wrote in the headline, Ling Shi Jin has Ximen Lichen’s shamelessness when clinging onto the female lead and he also has Bo Wang ruthlessness when dealing punishments to others and even towards himself. You’ll see this when watch the scene of him dealing with the antagonist and when he was proving his love for FL.
What I also like about his character is even when he hated FL for leaving him, he never really hurt her. BUT FL did say that he was a controlling bastard when she and him used to be together so if that was shown then I wouldn’t have liked him as much. On the bright side, after FL came back to him, he learned to compromise and let FL be her own person so yay growth.
2. FL - I liked that even when Jian Cheng hated ML, she will side with him against others. Also, never really gave in to ML until he learned to compromise. She used to be ML’s canary/kept lover and when she ran away, she was forced to become independent since ML was hunting her. And when they reunited, you could still see the familiarity of two people growing up together even when they spent years apart. I also like that she’s not afraid of getting her hands dirty. Like the scene where ML’s assistant asked FL to persuade ML to hold back in dealing his revenge and she’s like “why should i?” Queen behavior. Zhang Shan’s pulled off the independent, playful and dark vibe which matched well with her character.
3. Chemistry - It’s not as spicy as his drama with Han Jia Hui BUT there’s something very natural about his chemistry with Zhang Shan. Like friends to lovers kind of chemistry and it just established more the idea of their characters growing up together that they know each other very well. There’s one scene where ML was punishing himself and FL immediately freed him even when ML is yelling at her to leave him alone. PLUS, I’ve read somewhere that some of the bts/bloopers were actually put in the drama. Off cam chemistry was so great it made into the final cut.
4. Story - I’ve always been a sucker for husband chasing wife trope. I was a bit worried since there’s usually abuse involved with the “i hate you for leaving me so this is my payback” but surprise surprise there’s none. Even ML found out the secret FL kept from him, it just showed that he was more hurt than angry. The plot itself was not unique but I like that their backstory was shown through dialogues. Like the grandpa dropping off the bomb that FL was taken in by their family and she even used to call ML “little uncle”. I was like “?? That trope is also included??” To be fair, I don’t think the age gap is too big but it wasn’t confirmed so just use your imagination.
5. Supporting characters - they also need recognition especially ML’s brother, assistant and the kid. ML’s brother was the villain. Characterization was average but his acting on the confrontation part was phenomenal. Him provoking Zhao Zhendong’s character and slowly realizing what ML would actually do was A M A Z I N G. He matched Zhao Zhendong’s energy so well. ML’s assistant was hilarious. He fits all the qualities of cdrama assistants. The long suffering yet still loyal and willing to serve ML. The kid was also great. I felt sad and proud for his character since he matured so quickly. Like kids shouldn’t be too understanding. It’s good that when ML and FL got together, he finally acted his age.
DISLIKE:
I wished they gave more details on how FL ended up in ML’s family. Or maybe it’s in the drama and the subs failed me.
FAVE SCENE (so many):
- confrontation between ML and brother
- FL protecting and comforting ML when he had a breakdown
- ML: I punished both his legs // FL: isn’t he lame on his right leg? // ML: baby, don’t you know men have three legs (LMAO)

Right from the cast that interacts nicely with history, balancing the impending tragedy with gentle humor and a quirky procession of quirky characters, the film features an impressive collection of characters and bold audacious performances.
Miyazawa is painfully fragile and unselfish, while Odagiri's wifey husband is nice. But who really shone was 11-year-old Sugisaki Ito as the most courageous young generation, taking on the pain and responsibility, while maintaining his youthful life.
Directed by Ryôta Nakano who made a dazzling script, it provides an emotional load of tears as the family history intertwines with humor and marked with multiple surprises.
The sound is solid, but the full surround effects seem to be lacking, in the scenarios part does not deserve to be.
Overall "Her Love Boils Bathwater" is cheerful and adds to every scene. A balanced film that deserves to be watched.

16 chapters would have been enough
This drama is nice and warm. Is very romantic and has a lot of cute moments. Main characters are endearing and they develop well. Also, the relationship is nice, there is no much drama regarding it; is very straight forward and not problematic. Music is good. The general aesthetic and styling are awesome. However... it's very slow paced and the plot feels like running in circles at times, because there are not many subplots, mainly in the second half. After they get together there is no much left to be told, but, it goes on... It was a little hard to finish for me, but it was still enjoyableWas this review helpful to you?

It was pretty interesting.
For me it was really nice watch, the plot executed in a good way, there were quite a few plot twists...tho the ending was a bit different from what i expected. It was kind of a cliche from some aspects. Not just the ending but some parts of the felt that way.
Other than that, the background, acting, emotions, dialogues, were very well done. Shin Hye sun portrayed Han So ra very well, so well that it felt really.
And trigger warning, cuz there are some scenes with animal ab*se , so watch with caution.

anyway, beside the ex's arc being a little frustrating, I really enjoyed the characters, especially Dain (that turned out to be ellie from www). and Jae Yeong who was 2nd guy's right hand man in Nokdu! he has a great voice, and he looks better in modern dramas ;p
the 2ndery couple were cute too, and the whole story was the type of noona romance I look for, it was undramatic and bright~
overall it was a nice slice of life fresh story. it kinda teaches you about letting go and moving on which gave it a feel of realness ;)
my rewatch values are either a 1 or 10, there's no inbetween~

Is is a bird? Is it a plane? No, ITS A TOXIC ALERT!!
Although it was intended as the main storyline of this series, personally I wouldn't watch this drama for 2 main reasons:1. The toxic relationship between the male and female lead
2. The amount of 🤦 moments in the drama that kinda make you go huh?
Unfortunate to say, but I did finish this series only because I was hoping for it to pick itself up at the end but it didn't so it was relatively disappointing.
The utter tyrrany, manipulation, obsession, corruption and toxicity radiating from this series is just not healthy and it's definitely hard to preservere through the drama knowing that it's there in every episode.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend the drama if you're looking for a healthy and lovable one although, if this is your kind of trope, by all means, it's possible one of the best ones in that category.
Happy Binging!!

I started seriously hoping to find an Lee Byung Hun film without the word Mature in the genre. I love mature stuff; especially with Lee Byung Hun. I know what you think. Stop right there!! But mature films cannot be recommended to everyone that's why.
Anyhow the story kept me on my toes, yes. It started getting slower so I thought they were going to ruin it but the twist was just shocking for me. And I loved it.
I wondered why they presented the couples' every day's life in a so detailed way but then I understood when everything fit its place.
Not your oh-my-god-how-I-could-have-lived-before-this-film work, but it's definitely worth watching. Watching Lee Byung Hun playing the psycho doesn't surprise me anymore but amazes me all the same. This guy is not your average actor. Lee Min Yeon did a great job here as well.
The ending soundtrack grabbed my heart but I couldn't find it anywhere.
I don't think I'll watch it again though it's good enough for that.

When I was the most depressed
I am a Jisoo fan from day one but wont stop me from saying that this one was nearly a disappointing drama for me. The story is something that would have been interesting a decade ago. When you got an amazing cast at your service, the makers should have been a bit more productive. This series stands between mature and cliché. The dialogues were good and were executed brilliantly. There is no wrong in a complete melodrama format but it becomes a headache if you can't bring realistic aspects to it. Character portrayal like Yeji's aunt and Carrie was cringe at times. The father of the brothers was one to applaud. The saviours of the drama is indeed the cast. I liked Ha Seok vibrant acting. So bad that he is not used well. He could make any role. Im Soo Hyang is really the soul of this drama. There is something peculiar in her acting. Her way of dialogue delivery is a textbook to other actors.
Coming to Jisoo, been a fan of him since Angry Mom, and five years apart, he is still the sad boy. Dude just needs to change his agency.

Great Series!
Perfect! This story is inspired by the true story of the first unicorn in Thailand. It can inspire viewers to do business or start up. All the actors played their roles well, not just the main actors, the supporting actors or guest actors, they played well, the picture and sound were very good. Ice, Janeyeh and Palangr are very talented and great actors. They should receive awards. All the staff, the director should also receive awards too. It's a very great series. There is no boring part. Everything is perfect. I would like to recommend everyone to watch it. It is definitely not a waste of time. Was this review helpful to you?
