OVERRATED, needed 6eps only
don't get me wrong, I love the main cast and I loved them as characters but as a plot it offered nothing new. it was just a mix of every other dramas;the bullying happens in every school genre, the evil corrupt politician happens in every law/crime genre and the main evil spirit was like every other psychopath, like strong woman dobong soon.
the only things I enjoyed were the hugs, the unexpected familyness and the 1st big fight when the evil spirits collabed which created a good amount of angst.
afterwards it was just another repeated mess of cliches. they kept trying to kill of Mae Ok becasue she was the "weakest" link.
the bullying honestly felt like a fight club, there's no way anyone could not see what was going on. with that severity of bullying every kid would've been dead or crippled..
Wi Gen "betraying" them the 1st time made no sense. she didn't talk about it and she wasn't against them but it was just used for cheap struggle.
the bully just looked like a 30 year old hurting kids and well the actor is 30 so that was a big mismatch ;/ and the whole wrap up of that part is a horrible lesson to teach kids. "take bullying, don't fight back, love and forgive the bully until they redeem themselves" ;/
the pace was slow, the evil people got too much screen time and they didn't achieve their full potential, I don't know if the writer change happened in this season, but they need a better writer.
though nothing will make me watch s2 ;(

Pyo Na Ri engages the world like an underdeveloped child. Her codependent interactions, emotional instability and what could only be called pretending to be interested in her high school aged brothers life should serve as no example for an adult woman trying to make their way in the world.
The undeserving male lead remained self absorbed and undeserving for the duration of the show. The second male lead character was so much of what you want in a man and definitely should have received more air time.
The music was appropriate and hilarious at times (no, no, no nooooo! lol) the wardrobe of everyone EXCEPT Pyo Na Ri was on point.

This drama is an absolute depiction of how politics work .
It's cruel , sweet but most of all overwhelming to most extent .

It all starts with such self belief and shit !
Everything comes at a cost .
And that includes power too .
This is the first season so it's a cliffhanger right now .

True Blue Wuxia; Our 3 Musketeers Triumphed at the End.
This is my favorite genre, so it ended up on my watchlist as soon as I found out that's what it was going to be about. I really wanted to see how the three leads would be able to pull something like this off. No romance at all, so please move on to something else if that's what you're looking for. I didn't know that this whole thing was a franchise and that there were quite a few actors prior to YY that played the same character and that this show was popular back in the early 90s.Pros: I have to give YY serious props for those fight scenes. They were absolutely incredible and so intricate. When you see the way the director and the choreographer showed him every single one and how he tried to do each scene in one take because some of these scenes required many other actors or goons, and it had to look good. I would have to say that the fight scenes were my absolute favorite. The storyline flowed very well and at first, I also didn't understand why the male lead or ZZ didn't kill and then someone explained who knew the entire franchise and the history of Judge Bao (who sadly didn't make an appearance in this one); I will actually add in here what she wrote about the whole subject to maybe make other people who read this review understand as well. But I will credit her because she explained it so very well.

Once I understood all that, it became even more interesting to me like the storyline made more sense; why he would just break arms and legs, and what not and leave the person alive because he ultimately wanted to bring the big wolf to testify against who was the largest villain or Prince XY as I called him. There were four underlings or 3 1/2 really including his own illegitimate son and we had to strip away, who each one was and their code names. Not once did the storyline drag for me. He killed one time and one time only and that was to trigger the mechanism at the very end to kill Prince XY. The prince basically mocked ZZ about him getting caught and being jailed for just a little while because no one can kill a royal uncle. His exact words were "no blade in the world could kill a royal uncle" and ZZ agreed that no blade in the world could, but that he was willing to be that blade because of all the innocent lives that were taken, and there were just so many during the show and even before the 15-20 years he was an operation for his rebellion how many people he killed or had killed. And the prince was all like well, you have to respect me this, that, the next thing and ZZ before he swiped the candle said "I respect justice." That explained literally his mindset during the entire show. The idiot Prince had his entire fortress booby-trapped, that even the slightest wave in front of a candle and a leaf set off an arrow straight into his heart. That was instant karma for him if I ever saw anything. Also, DJ's karma how ZZ told him that he had sacrificed so many innocent lives for his own ambitions but how would he feel if he was told or asked to do the same? Cut to a few episodes later and Prince XY does exactly that with him just before his old guard really does kill him. I love how we slowly got the backstory of all the characters that were important even ML had his existential crisis moments before he saved MZE. I'm guessing he met JB after that and really honed his skills in justice. Losing that kid was very sad. I think it broke something in him a little bit; he was willing to do anything, including take the blame for setting fire to the kids families's house, killing everyone just to save the kid from regaining his repressed memory that he himself accidentally did that, but in the end, the memory still came back.
Another thing that made me very happy was that the show had no romance. It might've reflected on the ratings here not that I cared, but this genre when it's just the genre is perfect. It should be focused on a storyline and the incredible fight scenes, which is exactly what it was focused on. Some people were not happy because there weren't instant results but that wasn't the point. The point was to really get into the storyline, the point was to see the characters as all having flaws and things never being what they seem or that simple. I love the friendship between as I called them; the three amigos or the Three Musketeers; they always fought together, they always had each other's backs, they never let the other just hang, and they would do anything for each other. They were their own version of the iron triangle. Even though ZZ did spend most of the series either injured or poisoned as BYT pointed out in the post credit scene; neither BYT or the kid from the Tang clan ever gave up, trying to find a cure for him and finally they did. That post credit scene was just hysterical. I first watched it with Janky subs than good ones, but you could still tell BYT with his leg all bandaged up, looking really screwed up but the rest of him he either was wearing bandages under his clothes to show that he was really tough and he could handle all those arrows that hit him and then you have ZZ who's only wearing an arm sling but in reality has cuts and gashes all over his body also acting so tough and the two of them talking about just having dinner with the emperor and ZZ agreeing to another job and obviously BYT is going to be dragged along and possibly HLL as well, even though he's all bitching and complaining that he's not going and then them to pretending to do another fight, even though BYT passes out after the third glass of alcohol. And it ends with ZZ holding the badge from the emperor saying I want to, but I can't. I'm too tired. And I agree with him. He's just spent all of this time running around hunting this case, being poisoned and injured and he needs to rest before he takes the next case and I hope he really does that. And it really makes me hope for a season two; them going to Western Xia for the emperor. Costumes, sets, OST use all of that was great and it fit every single portion.
Cons: I think the only real issue started to happen at the very end, but I attribute that due to the three cut episodes during review. Editing was choppy especially in episode 37. I really wish that post credit scene was shown pre-credits. I know they were at least I'm assuming setting up possibly for a season two but it still would've made a lot more sense. There were other things like I wish we had seen how MZE was fatally injured before he managed to gallop off to his young master. I wish that SJZ's death was less of a cop out and that HLL had killed him instead of some random dude from the other country that showed up in episode 36 and 37. I wish we had seen how BYT was rescued or whatever happened how he got because obviously he got out and I thought they should've had a reunion scene when the two of them using the original fake names that when they had met HLL to tell her at her manner in a way to bring back it all full circle instead of just doing that. They were running short of time and then it's like cut to next scene when you see ZZ walking up the steps in full uniform with the special sword all gilded out. Like show that the particular information was intercepted, cases is overturned make the ending more rounded. It's just these small editing scenes that would've made a big difference, even though I still believe that the show was an HE despite all the choppiness. Those three episodes would've made a huge difference and it's a shame that they had to cut them.
Would I recommend it? 150% this was one of those shows that I anticipated each day, because I loved every second of it other than the choppy parts of course. This is my favorite genre; the fight scenes were impeccable even the very last one which was you would think so imbalanced because ZZ just had a sword and the bad guy goon had this massive sword weapon thing that was the size of his own body, but still ZZ won and he ended up getting cured from his poison and all of his friends were all right. This is a true blue wuxia, for fans of the genre so I definitely recommend it. I really hope all of you enjoy as much as I did.

A Watchable drama
Its acceptable because all the struggle they faced during this whole journey but still they managed to produce a decent Watchable drama in the end. I felt the end seems very forced but apart from that i liked the whole drama.As you all know they changed the main actor in the middle so from there it's looks like a complete different type of show, i still remember the cuts of 8 and 9th Episodes looks really wierd. Accepting a new actor in the place of jisoo was not easy, But somehow Na in Woo and Kim so hyun chemistry looks very cute and interesting, so it was good watching them together atleast.
Coming to the story and screenplay, it has nothing particular to offer and looks pretty much a usual type historical drama with patriotism and politics. 20 long episode was understandable the very first they slowly and internationally creating a very hard chaotic environment and for a viewer, u will feel very complicated and tensed in the end the whole thing was messed up.
Everything was exactly happen what u expect, But it could have been a better ending. I read some comments that the end was not exactly from the original novel. Anyway happy to see kim so hyun with her cute acting which makes other things forget also hats off to the cast and crew especially the producer who not just reshoots the rest of the Episode from where jisoo left and also from beginning to the sixth.

Not My Type
I tried my best to write this review so pardon me if it's not the best. I'm not gonna entertain people who want to defend this show.First of all, I would like to apologize to those who love this series. This series isn't made for me and it is a chore for me to finish sadly. I tried to like it but I didn't like it from the beginning till the end. While the show has some problematic issues with disrespecting and misuse of mental health topics as well as the sexual abuse portrayed there, I don't wanna address it as many helpful reviews on Tharntype's review page has already done it anyways and mine is gonna be similar, if not the same as well. While I appreciate the writers for trying to go complex in this BL with all those mental health issues, I just think they have done it wrong and no proper research is made on it.
I wanna talk more about the storyline because I do have my problems with it. The show tried to do so much in those 12 episodes by adding more storylines and it became over complicated. Instead of having unnecessary antagonist, pointless characters like the guy who tried to be Korean and Tar's story, I would rather focus more on Tharn and Type's relationship progress. Those times spent on them could have been spent on those two. How they met, see their ups and downs in their relationship, and slowly let it develop. I also want to dive in more in Tharn and Type's character even if I dislike them both. What's the point of adding more storylines if their relationship is not fully developed in the first place?
I'm personally not a fan of their relationship. Let's start from the beginning. I find it rushed especially with how the relationship of Tharn and Type is like starting. As I have recalled, they are only roommates and I am not sure if they are even friends in the first place since it's not established there. I remember questioning Tharn on when he fell in love with Type. Did he fell in love at first sight? Moving on to journey with their relationship seeing them having sex and all those crazy tragedies and that's where I conclude that I just don't like their relationship at all. I mean, yes it's realistic for couples to fight all the time and jealousy is normal, but to add in those physical abuses is such a turn off for me. That is not a healthy relationship for sure. If you're asking which one I'm talking about, it's in episode 9 (The part where Type slapped Tharn because Type misunderstood the situation going on there) To be honest, both of them need help and are not ready to be in one yet.
All in all, I feel like the series has potential, but it's just wasted in the end. I do love the fluff moments between them and Mew and Gulf have amazing chemistry together that I can't help but squeal as well as a normal fangirl LOL. You know what I'm talking about for those who completed the series. I just couldn't bring myself to ignore what happened earlier. I don't want to go in detail with this review as my review is more of a rant haha. I don't want to rewatch it again. Instead, I'll just watch those crazy MewGulf videos together because what's not better than seeing two hot men being so cute together? UwU
As I've said earlier, everyone has a different opinion for this show. Some may love it, some may not. Sadly, my opinions went in the opposite direction of not loving it. That's all I can say about this show.

I would say if you're a Kim Soo Hyun fan then sure, have a go at it, but it isn't anything like a K-drama (nudity, drug use and violence), and you won't finish it with any more understanding than when you started.

No cutie acts and the pace is smooth!
I am currently watching this drama after watching Lost You Forever Season 1.The story is about a concubine's daughter, Mu Zhuohua, who is determined to take the imperial exam to earn a career as a female official in order to be independent of men. She escapes from her engagement to a local official because she refuses to be a concubine.
MZH arrives in the capital and becomes a physician to ageing prostitutes who are refused treatment by physicians due to their profession.
She encounters Lord Ding or Liu Yan, the brother of the current Emperor, who is trying to find the culprit behind the ambush which killed 35,000 elite troops. He is also the Chief Examiner who persuaded the emperor to reopen the imperial exam to allow females to take part in the court matters.
Both ML and FL are good because in the past, I have always dropped their dramas. This time, I am shouting for more episodes after completing one. Factors such as good chemistry between the two leads, no cutie acts, good plots and good direction/ production make this drama entertaining.
Age gap between the characters is evident but that's the best part of the drama. The ML kind of acknowledges that the FL is cunning and playful so he lets her 'fool' him around while keeping her in check.
Watch it.

Literally What
Where is this drama going I thought this was going to be like an overthrow your way to the top kind of drama but literally nothing could’ve told me what direction it would go in. From the attack to the random hacker friend l, who I still don’t even know where he came from, and now a unconscious murder mystery like just stop. everybody’s acting in this ranges from decent-great however the FL is an outlier. for example the scene in ep 4 where she’s getting on the elevator was just really bad. idk what’s going onWas this review helpful to you?
The movie also deals with fame and power and looks at the influences of drugs, sex and cosmetic procedures. The themes this movie deals with are highly controversial and I believe that is why many people don't enjoy this film. Before I get too far into the review, it is really important to note that there are a significant amount of sex scenes in this movie. Seriously do not watch it if you are not mature enough to appreciate their importance to the plot development.
The music is such a great indicator in Helter Skelter. If something bad is going to happen, you can tell by the music. There is only one piece of music I thought was inappropriately placed but I won't mention anything as it will spoil the movie.
I've watched it twice so far and the only reason it hasn't been more is because I have other commitments. I can honestly not fault any aspect of this movie. Maybe you might have a different opinion to me but you'll never know if you don't give it a chance.

It's never good when I start talking back to the TV.
People have written long, well-informed reviews expressing their love for this series. Other than the fact that the male lead tends have five expressions that he runs through given whatever scene he's in, I was in total agreement with the other reviewers. Part One of this series makes for riveting viewing; cast, story, and visuals, from writing to execution, the first instalment of LLG is hands-down wonderful. Please don't throw things at me for what I'm going to say next. Part Two of Love Like the Galaxy really disappointed me. I kept muttering, what has happened here? Did they run out of time or money? Did they change writers? Did production or the director side suddenly flex their muscles? Granted, LLG contains a big, complicated consipiracy story and maybe they didn't have enough time to properly unravel all the plot twists within the time constraints.But seriously, those story edits were too roughly done. I was pulled hard out of the narrative midway through Part Two. At the beginning of that particular episode there was a time skip that felt like someone read the script, shook their head, and slashed through pages and pages of the story, while muttering, "they won't even notice this if we flash ahead and get one of the characters to spew a ton-load of exposition. " Well, I noticed. I flipped twice between the end of the prior episode, and the beginning of the time-skip episode to make sure I hadn't inadvertently missed an entire episode. What should have been a defining moment for an important character--a place where that character would have stepped up for their family, throwing on the hero-challenge-cape to reveal the truth--was flattened into a short paragraph of wtf exposition, given by a character who'd suddenly been rendered from fiery to helpless. There were a lot of those type of viewing moments in the episodes that followed. What made those jarring time skips really frustrating for me was the screen time given to things that didn't drive the plot, or develop the characters. How long does it take someone to die?
Watching the second half of LLG was a frustrating experience for me, probably because my expectations were set so high by the prior instalment. If it had just been plain bad, I could have moved on, but there were definitely episodes in Part Two which were heart-rending and well-nuanced which kept me hooked and hopeful that the end of the series was going to be as amazing as the beginning. Here's the thing: those wonderful scenes felt like they were written by the same pen that created the first instalment. Just perfect writing, illuminated by amazing acting, and gifted directing. But those jewel-like moments were overwhelmed by scene after scene penned by the B-team. For me, there was just a lot of bad writing, and bad directing choices in LLG2 which thoroughly flattened the excellence of a story that I had such high expectations for. So, for what its worth, that's my opinion. Okay, I'm going to leave now, before everyone starts throwing things at me.

Too much too soon
This drama started out so promising. The ML dramatically entered the scene and acting amazing well in the role of the anti-hero. And then suddenly, he turned into a lover boy who follows the FL around and begs her to marry him.This just doesn't make sense.
I am waiting for more episodes to see if there is anything else to look forward to.
Acting from both ML & FL: very good, especially ML in the beginning.
Saw up to 24 today. And it's unbelievable! The young princess even fell in love with the older king! And the General fell in love with the older Prince just because he built a temple for her???? They kill off the main villain of the story: the older prince. And we still have 10 more episodes to go. WTH? At least it's consistent with the way this drama has been going: abrupt changes in personality/kungfu skills/etc ...
Anything goes .... I wouldn't be surprise if the writers make arbitrary decisions to turn this wild ride into a tragedy at the end.
I will finish it because there isn't anything else to watch until November 1.
I am going to have to go with my low rating because the plot is just sooooooo fake and cringy sometimes. It doesn't make sense either. Why change the ending of the book?

KISS Me or KILL Me
Since the pilot trailer was released I thought finally GMMTV is gonna do something different, mature and something really dark. So my expectations were really different from what they served. I do have to agree with the fact it wasn't nothing like what I had expected but it was good in their usual way.First of all I have talk about the Director Jojo, whose idea's are different from the usual GMMTV directors. This guy likes to take risks, try to show something different. His overall works are good but his ending for the show's are kinda questionable because it will divide the audience in two parts. But yeah, I do wanna appreciate his works, they are enjoyable in their own way.
The Heart Killers is a enjoyable drama. Yes, it has many plot holes. A lot of the things doesn't make sense. There wasn't enough seriousness in the characters of Hitmen. It has many flaws but I liked the drama overall. It had comedy, emotions and love. Somehow the audience will be able to connect with the characters. And I guess that what mattered to me the most. It wasn't a entire stupid story afterall. It was kind of a drama you watch for once and you feel good. No, it wasn't a masterpiece neither a trash but a feel good drama with comforting character's. Well that's what I feel.
First and Khaotung both are great actors, they did an amazing job. But Joong and Dunk stole everyone's heart especially MINE. I have to confess this, I know Joong and Dunk since 2022 through their first drama Star and Sky: Star in my Mind. But I never liked them because of their acting. I was never interested in them either. Before watching this drama I had no expectations from them. I thought they are gonna do their usual thing. But they proved me wrong, they literally made me their fan. They just killed it. Their acting has improved a lot, yes they still need to do better. Like we can't compare their acting skills with FirstKhao yet or anytime soon but they were better this time. I was waiting every week just to see them and only them. They stole the show, so hat's off to JoongDunk aka FadelStyle.
There might be many reasons not to watch this drama but I'm gonna give only one reason to watch it. You guys have to watch it for Style and his crop tops!

Hei-Bai Feng Xi, a match made in heaven!
Who Rules The World (WRTW) is a Wuxia drama with all those things a Wuxia should have. This drama follows Hei Feng Xi and Bai Feng Xi, two great martial artists who travel the world and ultimately join forces with those who wish to conquer the world in order to make it a better place.Who Rules The World is based on Qing Ling Yue's (倾泠月) novel of the same name, "Qie Shi Tian Xia" ((=且试天下). In 2007, this was one of the best-selling novels. This play contains numerous aspects, all of which are in such perfect proportion that none bear upon another, and none feels extraneous.
As I have said, this drama revolves around the Hei-Bai Feng Xi pair. Hei is the Chinese word for black, whereas Bai is the Chinese word for white. They may be identified by the colour of their clothes, which match their names.
Hei Feng Xi is the Foundain Abode's Head and one of the Four Gentries. Bai Feng Xi is a Tianshuang sect heroine who is characterized in the drama as "as beautiful as she is lethal." Both are unrivaled in skill and beauty. Bai Feng Xi is unrestrained and carefree, whereas Hei Feng Xi is exquisite and indifferent. Even though everyone believes they are rivals for greatness, they are actually quite good friends, and wherever Bai Feng Xi is, Hei Feng Xi will be there too. Although, they are described as opposite attracts, they feel quite similar, like inseperable sides of a single coin.
However, in reality, both Hei Feng Xi and Bai Feng Xi are the prince and princess of Yongzhou and Qingzhou, Feng Lanxi and Feng Xiyun, respectively. While Bai Feng Xi's family is aware of her dual identities, Hei Feng Xi had to feign illness and learn martial arts in secret. Bai Feng Xi studied martial arts because she was uninterested in politics and desired to live a carefree life. Feng Lanxi, initially, began practising martial arts to protect himself, but his goal evolved from saving the people to eventually ruling the world.
Feng Qiwu is the Chief of the Feng family and one of Yongzhou's Ministers. She assists Lanxi in managing his two identities and concealing the truth from Lanxi's father, the Lord of Yongzhou. She had a crush on Lanxi initially, but it faded as she realised Lanxi's love for Fengxi.
Huang Chao is Jizhou's heir. He is also a member of the Four Gentries. He is almost usually accompanied by Yu Wuyuan, the Finest of the Four Gentries. He also intends to rule the globe with the assistance of Yu Wuyuan.
Things I enjoyed:
I absolutely like how Hei Feng Xi and Bai Feng Xi are created equal and how they keep that throughout the show. It was believable and impressive. Also, many amazing elements in this drama left me speechless, such as the meanings of the characters' names. Lanxi, for example, literally means "breath of orchid." This is significant since the orchids in this state flowered around the time Lanxi was born. He even made Bai Fengxi an orchid garden. The novel's author, who was sadly not there for the drama's screenplay, deserves all credit for this.
Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi were excellent choices for the roles! They nailed it with their acting abilities and did not disappoint me in the least. This drama provided them with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their versatility in portraying a wide variety of emotions, which they did admirably. Despite her background in rom-coms, Lusi was able to play the serious side of her role and successfully drew the audience to herself. Yang Yang in a historical drama was something I was hoping to witness. He was excellent at portraying both the elegant Hei Feng Xi and the mysterious Feng Lan Xi. One of his strongest strengths is his ability to blend emotions of his character and make them memorable.
Many recognisable faces appear in the supporting cast, including Xuan Lu, Leon Lai, and Lui Rui Lin. If you've seen at least one of their dramas, you'll know that they're the best supporting actors a Wuxia drama can offer!
To be honest, the characters of Yang Yang and Lusi appeared to me to be brother and sister at first. At one point, I even shipped Bai Fengxi with Qiwu, who had such a deep relationship with each other that he seemed to be a third wheel in a scene with them and Lanxi! But I was confident that these two outstanding actors could sort out their connection over time, and I was not wrong. Their chemistry is one of the greatest I've witnessed in C-drama land to date.
Of course, I enjoyed the romance here as well. This was one of the sweetest and most endearing love stories I've ever seen. I like how they are portrayed as partners rather than lovers, with whom you can talk about everything. I like how they support one another throughout the show. Of course, the relationship was typical, but there were no unneeded misunderstandings, immature outbursts, or jealousy. Their love was shown without altering their genuine personalities, which is exactly as it should be!
I was also pleased to see the FL and SFL form a friendship rather than a love rivalry. I'm relieved that they didn't add a love triangle. That may have taken the pleasure out of the presentation by emphasising the romantic aspect and making the proportion of the elements in this imbalanced. The cinematography and choreography were both fantastic. This show features some impressive battle sequences that will leave you awestruck. Despite being jerky at the beginning, the CGI and editing were mostly good.
Things I didn't quite like or enjoy:
I was a little bewildered at the start because I hadn't read the novel and didn't know about the Empryean Token or the six states of Dadong. They should have been explained briefly in the first episode. For me, the last 2-3 episodes felt hurried, and the fight with the main antagonist seemed to be cut short. Some sections in between the drama felt disjointed, making it difficult to follow the main arc.
The revelation scene that Bai Feng Xi was the Feng Xiyun princess was a letdown because it didn't produce the expected effects and explotions. Even Lanxi didn't appear startled! Although the main villain was decently portrayed, there should have been more time for him to develop so that we, the viewers, could better comprehend him.
