Haha, I read some of the reviews and I honestly can't see what you guys were thinking. Personally, I loved the movie.

Please keep in mind that it has been a while since I watched this movie. I'm just writing what I remember in the writing hour.

The acting was cute and awkward, like it's portrayed in the manga/anime. In other words; It was fitting and good. I have no real complaints about it, since the actors did what they were supposed to.

The story itself is a huge twilight cliche with the outcasted and quiet girl, and the seemingly perfect guy who falls for her. Yet, it doesn't come across as a big cliche at all. Maybe it's because we all can relate at least one person in our life to Sawako? I know I can. (And I know a few Bellas as well, but that's beside the point.)

For fans of the anime, you'll be well informed to know that the movie covers the whole first season in a little over 2 hours. This causes the movie to be a little rushed, but I honestly can't remember it being too extreme. It includes the important parts with minor twists in order for it to progress at an okay pace, and does so in an okay way. No extraordinarily oscar-worthy way, but an okay way.

And did I mention that the actors look JUST like the ones in the anime? Because they do. Even my little cutie cakey Haruma. Oh yes you do. Oh yes you do!! *pinches cheeks*

In writing hour I really wish to rewatch this movie for two reasons;

1) The review would obviously be more detailed if I did so.

2) I have good memories with it, and it's nearly a year since I last watched it...

... which is, if I ever DO rewatch things, the minimum amount of time I wait before I eventually rewatch anything.

Seeing a score around 6-7 is a normal rewatching score when I've just finished something, I put it up there as well.

WOW what a ramblefilled review!
Hope u liek.

This is a great movie to watch if you're feeling like you want something entertaining with a different story.

The story is something different. Even though time travel sometimes is a cliche, in this movie it isn't. That isn't the focus or the story and it develops nicely apart from that fact. All the characters had something you could relate to, and had something that you just HAD to love. Besides, the story has twist that while watching it I just kept thinking "what the heck? This wasn't supposed to happen here!", so it never gets tiring or boring.

The cast was great. Nishikido Ryo's acting was superb, specially if you have seen him acting in other stuff and you realize just how wide his acting is. The female lead and the little kid also did a great job, and the 3 of them together could create a feeling of a real family.

The music wasn't something special. It wasn't bad but it isn't something that I would download to listen to it all the time.

On the rewatch value I'll definitely watch it again soon because I liked it a lot.

So overall, a solid 9. I would've given it a 10 if it weren't for some stuff about the story that I didn't like and I won't mention here to spoil. Watch it, I think you'll like it :D

This movie was simple , quirky and totally compelling. It was a simple boy meet girl then love happens kind of movie, until the moment life happens and then you find yourself suddenly crying with the lead actors. Then it takes you for a tour and you remember that the most important thing in life is that there's always hope and that no matter how alone you fell , there's never a thing such as complete abandonment.

The acting was good, the camera work was really nice too. A the time loop easy too follow.

This movie is nothing for persons under the age of 18!! It is really controversial with many bloody and brutal scenes.

There are mass killings and scenes of sexual abuse.

The story is quite interesting and really dark... It is mainly an action movie which is set deep in the mafia scene of Japan.

Both protagonists have a hard life which will become even harder depending on their growing involvement with the Yakuza...

The final scene is totally crazy and adds a new genre (for the movie). I am really excited if the second part will continue this strange change of the protagonists abilities... :)

If you are a fan of brutal action movies, with gore content and a dark-crime atmosphere combinated with sexual scenes you shall consider watching it.
Everyone else shouldn't even think about watching it!!

This is not a good movie. It's like they filmed a 3 hour film, but had to cut half of it out. I was constantly thinking I'd missed scenes (although considering I watched it online, there is always the possibility that the copy I watched wasn't complete). There was hardly any character development. I didn't care about her relationship with her ex-crush because we never really saw her actually caring about him. She said she did, but there was nothing else to really suggest it. Jang Geun Suk is a great dancer, so those scenes were good to watch, but did nothing for the plot. I gave the story, cast, and music decent scores, because they were fine. It was the directing, editing, and overall film that I had a problem with. Very disappointing.

This was my first chinese (hongkong) movie ever.

You can categorize this movie as historical / action movie, with a side love story but can not really be considered as part of the romance genre.

The fighting scenes were really exciting and great filmed with some awesome new technical features.

The historical setting is authentic and underlined with great panorama pictures. Ther are even some philosophical moments because the main protagonist often reflects about the relation between killing and his life.

I don't know how popular the actors / actresses are but they did a great job playing characters from ancient times...

So if you like historical settings and great action (swordfighting) scenes you should invest two hours of your time. You won't be disappointed!

It's pretty good for a remake, actually, it's pretty good period. I prefer this over the remake any day to be completely honest. The acting is perfect, it's just the storyline that really throws me off. It just spends too much time in the beginning developing the plot then at the end spends too little time closing it up. I felt like there should've been some kind of balance between the two, which there wasn't. It's undeniably rushed and ridiculously corny, but isn't that how movies like this are supposed to go? It's generally an upbeat, funny and cute watch. :)

OMG why did I not watch this sooner. I recommend it for everyone. It is so funny, I seriously sat there for the whole time either clapping and laughing like a crazy person, grinning from ear to ear or having tears in my eyes (there was this one sweet part that was just *squeals*)

The story of this movie was cliche, but who the heck cared. It was entertaining and fun to watch. And it contained one of my favourite themes childhood love *swoon*.

Acting I gave it a 10. Moon Geun Young, that girl knows how to act. She played the 15 year old so well (when the movie was shot she was actually 17, I calculated it out of curiosity). Kim Sae Ron, he was soooooo funny in this movie. One of favourite part with him was when he confronted the guy that Boeun was dating, that was just LOL. OMG and the scenes involving them two, were just hilarious.

Music I gave it a 8 because seriously I wasn't paying attention to it. Though at the karaoke scene where the each leads sing a song was no coincidence. Production crew I see what you did there.

Overall I gave this movie a solid 10/10. And I would rewatch it again for sure.

The movie is all about obsessions, the girl wants to turn her boyfriend into something she so much craves. He's the silent type, he won't complain. Is a very frustrating movie because you feel bad about the boyfriend, wanting to make her happy even if that makes him miserable. But the sweet moments are there, you just go "awww". After you finish it you wish they were a real couple.

This is a beautiful movie, at first you won't know what's going on, or what is happening but as the story develops you find yourself with your mouth wide open. The only reason I watched it was because of Rain, and his acting was amazing, so sweet, so different, so human and inocent. Su-jeoung really hit me, her acting was incredible and real. Such a beautiful movie.

Based on the bestselling novel of 2008 ‘Kokuhaku’ by Kanae Minato, ‘Confessions’ is a dark, gripping psychological tale that is sure to keep you on your toes.
The movie starts off rather slow with Yoko Moriguchi (Takako Matsu), a middle school teacher, delivering a farewell speech to her students, declaring the day to be her last day at school. Her students, however, seem to be less concerned and engage themselves in gossips, arguments, texting and other activities. Moriguchi nonetheless continues with her speech, recounting her past— her affair with a teacher, how he contracted AIDS and passed away, her pregnancy, her decision to live as a single mother, and the tragic death of her dear daughter. It is only when she reveals something shattering that she manages to catch the attention of her students, leaving them gaping and utterly shocked. She tells them that she believes her daughter’s death was not just a mere accident as claimed by the police but rather a murder, and that the murderers are present in the very class among them. What’s more, she notifies them that she had injected HIV tainted blood into the milk that the murderers, her very own students, whom she has labeled as A and B previously drank. And this shocking declaration is enough to send chaos across the class, leaving A and B extremely panicky and terrified.

From the very beginning, this movie creates a mystifying atmosphere which gives us, the viewers, the hint of something very big and unpredictable lying ahead. And then as the story unfolds, we are taken to the world of the victims of the revenge and those related to them, and get a clear cut picture of the respective motives which drove A and B to commit something as dreadful as murder. The movie also depicts human emotions such as angst, fear, loneliness, hysteria, pride and horror in a very realistic manner and a very few movies achieve that, we all know.
Now coming to the cast, I’m speechless. Takako Matsu just blew me away with her superb acting. She played her role brilliantly, and now it’s difficult for me to imagine some other actress performing in her place as the character ‘Yoko Moriguchi’. I am looking forward to watching more movies starring her. The supporting characters also had done an amazing job. Each of them really got into their respective character.
They say what you see depends on what you’re looking for. I was looking for nothing much to begin with but the visuals blew me away. The visuals are what makes this movie effective and dynamic. Watch the movie and you will know what I mean.
Speaking of the OST, it is good. It is not something revolutionary but that’s all right. I don’t remember any particular song or music except the one that played in the beginning.

All in all, ‘Confessions’ is a brilliant piece of psychological thrill with a tinge of tragedy and drama. You ought to grab this one if you like psychological thrillers, and even if you don’t and want to have a taste of them, you may begin with this one.

It's a story well told.

The beginning of the story got me engaged and instantly gave the premise that it's a fantasy movie, following the lives of the poor little girl who exchanged her fate for a piece of bread and the man who could turn back time but could not remember his past.

It's a delight to watch, if you're the type who likes romance wrapped in a mysterious fantasy-action story that unfolds bit by bit. The scenes are shot against a cinematic background (makes you recall those Chinese paintings in color and detail)and they flow seamlessly one after the other.

The story develops as the characters reveal their true selves and strangely, I found myself sympathizing more for the man in the mysterious feathery black coat and scarred white face. In the end, he helps Kun Lun to remember his past and sacrifice himself for their kind's last hope.

Story - an outstanding 10 in my book
Cast - Stellar cast:
Liu Ye - as the scarred and damaged Snow Wolf
Hiroyuki Sanada as the warrior-general in the sun helmet
Jang Dong Gun - as the Princess' hero, Kun Lun (I didn't even know this ahjusshi was from S. Korea)

Music - this is a Chinese movie, of course it's a 10
Rewatch value - I watched it for like 4 times and had to restrain myself from watching it again. Darn why did it have to end so soon!

Hm, what was it? Music? Story? Cast? Ah, what was it?! Something...fell short during the movie. For some reason I didn't get emotionally attached to the characters, which is odd for a romance movie. Usually you root for the characters and cry when they cry and laugh when they laugh. However that didn't happen here. I wish I could figure out why! Overall the acting was amazing, the story was decent (though it did drag from time to time), and the music was unremarkable. To be completely honest I don't recommend this movie. I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my day. Oh well. It was worth a shot.

Ok, this movie is WOW! I just finished it and the one thing this movie does is keep you guessing. Did he do it? Did he not? Is he innocent? Is he guilty? Is he just a poor man caught in one giant conspiracy or is he a serial killer?

Jang Hyuk shines in this role. For anyone (me) who thought he was a one trick pony after TWDR and Chuno (since he plays very similar people) think again! He really works this role and boy does he sell it. He makes all the parts that should be just ok truly eerie after you finish it. I guarantee after you finish you will see the movie in a whole new light.

The lawyer and the prosecutor... they have an amazing dynamic. The only real problem I have with this movie was that I could not tell the two apart! It drove me nuts.

As for the music... I never noticed it and that is a very good thing but, at the same time.... I like knowing it is there. Do not pass this up. The only reason I rated it down a bit was for some quirky shooting...

If you want to watch a horror movie with scary elements, I think you should watch this.

I was expecting this to be better but it was quite good. Though I think this would have been better if I didn't watched the original/earlier Ju-On/The Grudge movies before.

I think that the actors did a great job and music was awesome. Though I was hoping to get to see more Seto Koji's and Ai Kago's acting.

The movie was quite confusing at the beginning but then it got better. It would've been better if the movie weren't in different stories but in one big story. Though all the stories filled each other.

The ending was different than I imagined it to be. You have to watch this really patiently because it's so confusing.

All in all I think this was a good horror/suspense movie :)
