Story: It's hard to say this actually had a coherent plot. It's four different people; a student, a doctor, a professional magician, and a scholar, plus their teacher coming together at the Magic School. That's really it. There's no supernatural magic, just card tricks and stuff you'd see on TV just so you know. The story follows all four characters and their motivation for studying magic, how one person assists another and a touch of romance but the plot really doesn't 'go' anywhere if you will. There's no main antagonist so the 'drama' of this series is a bit flat. I found myself drifting away in the middle of a scene and having to re-watch parts since the story didn't engage me.
Acting: I was pretty neutral about the cast aside from Jinyoung but no one disappointed me. It's hard to act when the plot is weak at best. I was surprised by Yoon Park as Jay, his character had the most development by the end of the series. His motivations are laid out clearly, and in the beginning he is not the most likable character, but at the end you empathize with him and realize he's not absolutely terrible. I wish the female characters were a little stronger, both Park Kyu Young (Woori) and Shin Eun soo (Yi Seul) are great characters. Yet, their motivations and personalities we not given as much depth as their male counter parts.
Music: You will eventually hear a Day6 song towards the end of the series. The ending theme is memorable but not too loud or annoying, aside from those I really did not pay attention. Nor was anything else really memorable.
Rewatch: My rewatch value is always low. Unfortunately, despite being a short series I don't think I would ever re-watch this. However, if you're looking for something light to spend around four hours with, this might be something to consider.

Although a lot of things in this drama can be cliche, all the elements works pretty well. I think the drama for 30 minutes for each episode works out well for me than the usual 1 hour length for 16 episodes or so. The pace of the romance is pretty reasonable. The fact that they start off with a wrong impression of each other and get to know each other step by step drawn me more. Ji Wook's trust issue (he was betrayed by his 2 most closest person after all), lost his beloved job, case with Jung Hyun Soo, and also the fire case which involve Ji Wook and Bong Hee parent brings a lot of turbulence into their relationship. And Love is all about timing. There are a lot of back and forth but love can only start with the right timing.
The story is pretty cute and fluffy. The main leads are not the only one who give out fluffiness. Tae Joon as Eun Hyuk is a total sugar candy. I nearly push him and Ji Wook as couple. They are adorable together. Another that is pretty interesting for me, somehow, I came to like the female love rival more than the female lead. Yes, Yoo Jung can be shameless (in term if betraying Ji Wook with his best friend and try to justify her act). But She is pretty cool too. I can see the reason why Ji Wook and Eun Hyuk fall for her. She is attractive and has a pretty cool personality. She does not scheme like the usual love rival. I find her pursuing Ji Wook is because she just being honest to herself. She knows she is wrong. But she cannot lie about her feelings. In addition, even though she was suspicious of Bong Hee (her love rival), she really put her 100% to the right job and investigate the case with professionalism. This remind me that not all people are 100% bad, but 100% good either. I find if both Bong Hee and Yoo Jung meet under different situation (without Ji Wook), they can be a pretty close friend.
Last note, I find Ji Chang Wook acts better here (He has more expression). He also has more chemistry here with the female lead than when he was with Park Min Young in Healer (Though story wise, Healer is way way a better drama.). I think this drama is a worthy watch for fluffy romance.

The amount of epsiodes is good too. For me less than 16 is to short becasue then the story isn't going to be well played out and if it is over 25-30 episodes then they story is to long and they are dragging it out to much and in the end you have forgotten how it all started and the story loses the tension. I also think that when there are too many episodes and they tend to drag out on the tensions then it is hard to make the final really good or that thet put to many obstacles in the way for the main character to reach it goals so you give up on the way watching the drama.
STORY- It was a really good story if you like it to be near reality. They didn't go overbord with what you actually can do in real life. Some can think that it is a minus but I liked it. It is very similiar to the American drama "Grey's Anatomy". The plot is not the same but it circulates around the main role who is a female and how she gets through life with love and work. The difference is that in "Emergency Couples" it's about how the main characters has to find a way to heal the old scars and at the same time work together. When in the American drama they start out sleeping together but just like in the korean drama they find each other at their new workplace.
For me, in korean drama it tends to be to much around the family issues more than around the couple and often I think that there is to much and I get bored watching the families ruining the life of their childrens realtionship weather it is a good or bad relationship, I feel that the family butts in to much. But it was just enough of that in this drama, so I really liked that and it had a very nice ending as well. I don't like it to be to much of "and they lived happily for the rest of their days" or a big cliffhanger that leaves me heartbroken and depressed for weeks until I can fnd another drama to drown my sorrows in.
ACTING/CAST- Daebak! Seriously, with the emotions and facial expressions over the top, the actors did a great job. I'm all for the crazy acts and funny faces which they all did really good. I especially had a weak heart for Yoon Jong Hoon as Im Yong Kyu. His puppy facial expression was reall good not to talk about Choi Jin Hyuk's (Oh Chang Min) crazy expressions. He and Song Ji Hyo's (Oh Jin Hee) chemestry was very good shown. The same goes for Clara who played Han Ah Reum, her facial expression was as good as Yoon Jong Hoon's. Escapially for the heartbroken scenes.
MUSIC- The music was okay, not the best. I didn't pay so much attention to it so it couldn't be that great, but after all it was okay. It didn't add much to the feels.
REWATCH VALUE- Totally worth rewatching. I would rewatch it over and over just because the were so many good parts where you could feel the chemestry between the characters bad or good. The acting was really good to, so I would reawatch it just becasue of that.
OVERALL- A really good drama, the only thing that I would want to change is the music maybe. And I would recommend you to watch "Grey's Anatomy" if you liked this drama.

We have the setup where they establish who the characters are. We can tell who is going to end up with who because it is hinted at. Then there's the conflict: the overused, one-sided crush. I say overused not just because I see it in too many shows, but because that was the whole premise of the first season. There's no point in concluding a story if you're just going to bring back the same exact conflict again. This is practically the main conflict between most couples other than Kongpob and Arthit.
Now, I'd hoped that their conflict would be the most interesting since they're the centre of the story, but that's not the case. They don't even have a main conflict. It's just a bunch of small misunderstandings that eventually lead to the climax of the story — the classic "falling out" (another cliché). And wouldn't you know, the use of small misunderstandings is also an overdone concept in the romance genre.
The first season wasn't perfect. It had too many unnecessary flashback sequences, music that felt misplaced at times, scenes of silent staring that lasted too long, etc. However, whatever it lacked in these areas, it made up for through the story. The story felt real and relatable, yet not too much so that it was no longer enjoyable. It taught the importance of friendships and collaboration. It showed personal growth in many of the characters. But this season, rather than bringing something new to the plate, it played it safe and did the same thing. And because of that, it did not have the original impact the story of the first season had. I feel they simply rode the coattails of the previous season's success because they knew the majority of fans would watch no matter what.
Another thing is, everything was predictable. I knew exactly what would happen long before it did. Literally. I wrote this entire review after watching only the first episode and was able to predict everything. Anything after this sentence was added after more episodes came out.
So, I have one correction to make. Kongpob and Arthit had a main conflict (not wanting others to know of their relationship) which was sort of the root of many of their misunderstandings. However, it was also an overused conflict that they even briefly used in the previous season.
Now, I realize that many fans of the show may hate this review. That's why I want to make it clear that I love this show as well. There are many things I loved about this season! However, I'm not going to write a biased, unhelpful review. I want to critique this show properly. I truly believe the plot was too clichéd. Yes, I still enjoyed it, but this is the biggest thing the show could've improved on. The best thing this season had was the "cute moments" between couples. However, a cute couple should never be enough. It's easy to make a couple look cute. But without a good, cohesive plot to carry that couple, it's not a story but rather a few scenes placed in chronological order.
I would like to state one final time… I loved watching this season. I even gave it a good rating. I just couldn't rate it as highly as I did with the previous season and everything I've said so far is the reason why. This isn't me hating on the show. I'm simply critiquing it as a fan.
Well, now that I've gotten the story out of the way, I'll quickly go over the other categories. The acting and cast were all amazing but I think there were too many characters. The music was great. Especially songs sung by the characters. As for the rewatch value, well, I definitely will be watching again multiple times.

Story - the story was ok in the beginning, it seemed a good story, but it was so badly made... The plot had two many twists that it was as Prison Break. Every time something was about to happen, something else terrible for the main leads would happen to avoid to continue the story. When I was in episode 12 I was hoping it would have already finish. Perhaps it would have been ok with 16 episodes, even better with 12.
For the two main leads, I didn't have any problem with the gap age difference, because I know the romance wasn't the most important thing in this show, and even better, cause I couldn't see any chemistry between them. And the ending.... I couldn't understand why they made a 20 hours show to finish the same way as it could have finish in the first episode.
On the other hand, there was no character's development. All the time the characters were manipulated by Chong On, the villain, and they changed sides... So, you never know which twist you were going to see, because they hadn't any coherence at all. One moment they think one thing, the other they do exactly the opposite.
Acting - as I said before, I like Yoon Shi Yoon very much, even if in here he hadn't the funniest rol as he had in others dramas. The rest of the casting was good, overall the villain shaman. So, my 5 is mainly for Yoon Shi Yoon.
Music - I only remember one song that was kind of nice and they repeated all along the episodes, so, apart from that, nothing special to say.
Rewatch value - I only watch twice the dramas that I've really liked, so, no, I'm not watching this again.

I personally loved Hye Joo and Young Choon, they made my heart flutter ;)
Also, the friendships in this drama are so precious!
This is a great drama and fun to binge-watch, but I feel like it's a bit underrated. Please give lots of support to it <3

As I had researched, the main actress was a rookie and, to my surprise, she actually performed well in this drama. For the other actors and actresses, they were amusing and had cooperated well to show humor in this drama. Well done :).
This drama may not be the perfect one you guys are looking for but its worth to watch something new isn't it :)? Hope you guys will watch this too and have fun watching it!

This movie is really hard to rate, in my opinion. Although I found the acting absolutely brilliant, I wasn't happy with the flow of the movie at all. Also the story is just sick sick sick!!!
I can understand the male lead's actions at first cause he wasn't aware...but the ending??!! Gosh that was gross and messed up!! and SICK!!! *goes to a corner and pukes*
This movie was similar in a way to the movie "No Mercy". The whole revenge idea in "Old Boy" was good but I enjoyed the revenge in 'No Mercy' way way better...that movie was just brilliant and haunting...especially the ending!
So what I 100% enjoyed in "Old Boy" was the acting. The whole cast was brilliant, especially Choi Min Shik. I don't think they could have chosen anyone better for that role!

Nagase Tomoya's acting was brilliant!..and his facial expressions were absolutely hilarious!! xD The other actors were really good as well! They were so much more better than I expected them to be. :))
And I loved the soundtrack, especially the ending theme song.
I'm craving pudding so bad..T-T

I gave it a 9/10 cause the ending wasn't very strong (it wasn't bad at all..just a wee bit not-so-strong) and I didn't like the first 2 eps much...actually I almost dropped the drama thinking I won't like it. Luckily I didn't!!
But other than that I absolutely love the drama and the cast!! ^-^ Sorimachi Takashi was brilliant as Onizuka! *-*
And the chemistry between Takashi and the female lead (who also happens to be his real life wife!!) was perfect...:D
Loved it! *-*

It wasn't at all what I expected!! It started kind of slow so I thought it would be boring but I was so wrong.
Plot twist after plot twist..and in my opinion, I think it's not a kind of story you can predict. :)
The actresses brilliantly played out their roles! I'm glad that I watched this movie...even though it's disturbing lol
I'm not sure if it's the kind of movie everyone will like but people who like dark movies will probably like it. :)

But it's definitely not a movie for the weak hearted cause it has too much of sexual violence and gore. I had to skip a few mature scenes myself..it was too disgusting to watch. *pukes* Those scenes very graphic and gruesome but necessary for the story, that's why I think the story deserves a 10/10.
Acting - 10/10. I think it takes a lot of skill to play the roles of the main characters. Choi Min Shik and Lee Byung Hun played their roles perfectly!
Music - I just gave it an 8/10 but actually I didn't really pay attention to the music lol. But so assume it's good cause if it was terrible it would have distracted me.
I like this movie much more than Old Boy.. but like Old Boy, I don't think I can re-watch this again. It's just too disturbing..
