I watched about 50 dramas in my life but this is my first time writing a review.. the reason is that I absolutely loved this drama.. despite the tragic plot, it was sorrounded by serenity, joy, will to live. I cried sometimes, sometimes I smiled and sometimes I laughed. While watching it I thought "Life is so important, so precious...If I were Takuto, would I have the same will to live?"
I loved the music, it's still playing in my head...
I loved all the  characters..!! Takuto, Megumi,Mamoru, Hina, Rikuto, Doctor Tanimoto, Mrs and Mr Sawada, Megumi's mother and even  Shigeyuki.
This drama is just perfect, giving dignity to ALS.

if youre looking for an easy to digest drama this is it!, the story its plain but the characters have such a great chemistry that the only regret of the drama is that it has too little of them. Youll be anxious after watching it cause it will be too diffucult to find another great one.
The main character its so atraaactive, he is the kind of guy who is kind of indifferent but at the same time he is also kind of shy, he is supper attractive (mainly because of its "indifference") that it will really melt your heart, plusss he is super loyal. The girl its the clumsy kind, but definetily the girl you will not hate.

My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 is a drama I picked up as a way to keep myself entertained between dramas. I wasn't expecting much since I read it was mostly a teen drama with a side BL story-line (which was my primary reason for selecting this title). To my surprise, I ended up enjoying this drama way more than I thought! That's not to say that this was an amazing drama as it had many plot flaws and unnecessarily prolonged conflicts, but since I only watched this drama to keep me busy between shows, My Dear Loser kept me fairly entertained... and then some!

STORY: 7.0
There is nothing really that grandiose about My Dear Loser's plot and story. It's pretty much your average "nerdy guy has the hots for the popular girl" trope that we've seen a hundred times before. The story focuses on the main character, Oh,  who is in love with the most popular girl in school, Peach. But of course, Peach pays him no mind and her boyfriend, Cooper, just so happens to be Oh's bully. The story also focuses on how Oh is constantly bullied by Cooper and his lackeys, and this is where I find the plot starts to confuse the viewer on the overall message this drama was trying to send as it's characters have no grasp on moralities. As Oh is viciously bullied to the point of assault and harassment, one might start to ask "where the hell are the teachers" or "why doesn't anyone do anything"? These questions are simply answered by making Cooper's character the nephew of the school principal as well as the richest boy in school who no one wants to mess with. But the bullying gets so bad that you stop and wonder why hasn't anyone sued for negligence? The morality of the characters are so convoluted, that there are often moments where the plot tries to give these vain charters redeeming qualities, but their past transgressions make it hard for the viewer to feel sorry for them. My  disappointment  in the plots overall message  is deepened when Oh decides to change himself to look more "hotter" and "cooler". But I personally liked his nerdy persona better and I felt a though this drama should have promoted being true to yourself instead of changing  for others. Oh's and Peach's story had the ending we all expected, and I felt as though the story took too long to get there by making more unnecessary conflict than there needed to be.
Along side Oh and Peach's story was a the BL  side-story of In and Sun. A lot of fans have said that they felt that InSun's story-line was rushed and I actually can't help but disagree. I think their story was handled better than the main couples and had a satisfactory ending. Although I do agree that their story did not have enough background and most fans would LOVE to see another MDL season that just focuses on InSun... Myself included. Their chemistry was actually really nice and their story-line just seemed so pure and innocent. I wold really love to see more of these characters.

ACTING/CAST: 8.0
I have to say that a stand out actor for me in this series was definitely the main character, played by Nanon! He was absolutely fantastic showing a wide range of  emotion and versatility  as the nerdy, quirky and adorable Oh! I was really impressed by him at the beginning of the season but then was disappointed when he decided to gave himself a makeover to become "cooler". It made his character less interesting, basic, and one-dimensional. Stand out actors where also Chimon who played Sun.  Chimon has been fantastic in everything I've seen him cast in, as he always plays his characters with such ease and natural emotions that aren't over acted but also come off sincere. Pleum who played In was also a favorite and Plustor who played the villain Cooper were also engaging and entertaining to watch. The biggest let down for me was Jane who played Peach. He character seemed the most one dimensional and really bland. I don't know if that's the fault of the writing or direction, but her performance just felt stale to me.

MUSIC: 10.0
The music was actually my favorite part of the series! They had a wide range of songs that fit every scene and atmosphere perfectly

REWATCH VALUE: 6.0
Despite the decent acting from some of the cast, I don't think I would watch this again anytime soon. This drama was just a good past time in between other dramas and dry spells.

OVERALL: 7.5
This drama actually is amazingly filmed with great cinematography and a had handful of good young actors that make the plot of My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 an entertaining pastime. Unfortunately, since the plot has morality issues, and some of the characters come off as one-dimensional and vain, this drama is not one I think I will remember for years to come.

Review :) Monarch: Owner of the masked.
This is a typical Joseon setting drama with a series of twisted events, heavy drama, unrequited love and awesome battle scenes. I enjoy how Ga Eun and the Crown Prince fulfill their Joseon love story. I this one much because they've manage to pull the emotions despite of the plot. :)
********Highlights:

*The shyshy couple - hahahaha I hope that this ship of mine will sail. So Hyun is really great and Seung Ho really prove to be a great leading man here. Hahaha si So Hyun lang talaga eh

*Camera shots - Camera angles and battle scene shots were really superb.

*The man named Dae Mok - Woah, this sickin' villain is more than just your super power and super influential one. He'll sure make your blood boil million times because of his wisdom and cunning ways and techniques. He indeed is fearsome.

*That poison thing is money in our time - they've made a plot that is parallel with what's  happening today but in a different way and it says a lot from what we do and act nowadays.

*HWA GUNNAH! - this is not your ordinary girl in the block coz' she's got some long claws, poisonous fangs but a super duper loving heart. Yeah, for me, she's the strongest female kdrama second lead. You'll hate her, love her, hate her again, like her a bit, hate her again, thank her, love her and super love her at the end yeah! Way to go Hwa gunnah.

*Cunning Kko Mol - she maybe is sweet and playful but she's indeed slick and cunning. A good observer but a bit frank little girl that made us smile several times not just because of her cuteness but with the way she teases.

*That mask thing is a freak - well I get it but it was really.... we'll just leave it there since it's  part of the title :) .

*Burn poppy burn - this is my favorite scene of the drama. Hwa Gun fully knowing everything burned the heart of Pyunsoo Group. Yeah and her "smirk" is priceless. Unrequited love plus failure will surely make you furious so... come let's burn some field.

* Kim So Hyun's face actions and heart stopping smile - this is not your typical Kim So Hyun drama were she takes the spot and shine bright. Here she's a dormant virtuous lady that has the face of an angel, wisdom of a hermit but a heart of a mother (well, let's add that honey coated and sugar filled smiles). Though her character was really restricted to grow here, she made it happen with the experience she had. She related her emotions well :).

I'll gave it a 8.7, since they've got really had a hard time punching some lines here. Seung ho and So Hyun are great with adlibs, Ga Eun's story should've been improved, short childhood moments, Dae Mok and late kings story was not elaborated and what Pyunsoo Group really is. :)

Well done KSY and YSH!!!! #fordramalist

This (web)drama gets to the point really quick from the first episode. It has a ton of actions, so if you love fighting scenes or wuxia/xianxia like myself then I recommend this. The fighting style is really fast, which is what I LOVE about this show so much. The CGI is average - I love Huan's visual effects of her powers - it's very pretty especially with her pen. The only thing that ticks me off is the CGI of the arms, but shouldn't be a surprised when it comes to CGI effects. haha The storyline is interesting  there is a plot twist towards the middle or end. To put it simply, Huan is a Soul Stitcher who help heal those that are filled with bad souls (anger, sadness, resentment, etc.). So basically they seem to be possessed when they have too much of these bad souls, and the only way to be cleaned of it is by Huan's usage of the Soul Stitching pen. Of course any of her clan mates are able to clean them up as well. There's a new patient everyday so it doesn't get boring at all. Problem is the one who plays Ning Wei Yue, Dylan, acting is a bit off and stiff for my liking. His awkward acting was fine in another drama I watched but I don't think it works well in this one. It made me wished they could have cast a different male actor instead of him. The editing of the scenes were quite obvious - it's not smooth.  But you can't expect greatness from a web drama. There's more to the plot than just soul stitching so I suggest watching it if you want to know the plot twist. hehe Overall, it was a nice drama, I would definitely re-watch it if I had the time someday.

I want to talk about this movie to all of the people I value. I'm deeply immersed in korean culture and mostly history. This is historical movie based on real events. Firstly, I thought the movie is only settled in the period and place where the terrible massacre happend. But the whole story is based on an acutal event. The scenes are authentic, there is a lot of blood and the feeling it really happened caused me a goosebumps. I go to Korea from time to time and I can see they really do love their country even tho they sometimes, don't realize.
There is nothing I have disliked. The movie is just amazing and also educating.
Don't watch if you easily get depressions or can't watch too much of someone's torture. I have felt a little bit off for few minutes as well. But I just tried to imagine, how it was at that time, which is not that long ago. The terrible and scary events.

I like this movie. It's based on a real story and it makes the movie more realistic. I really admire that koreans tend to do this kind of movies showing injustice, as it was for this year's movie Midnight Runners or older movie Miracle in room number 7.
The acting was on point for all of the actors. Kang Haneul displayed the character perfectly, also the actor who represents the lawyer. And the actress which portrays the blind mother did a pretty good job too!

I can't say I have disliked something in particular. I can only say my own feeling is just 8.0 not 10. I don't find the movie too much touching, but it can be this way because I'm getting used to this kind of movies.

Hardly any drama has the right combination of everything. This one has. From story, through casting to music - everything worked liked magic.  A very intelligently crafted story set up like a procedural  but works on so many more levels, creating  a comprehensive  arresting, emotional story with pitch perfect writing, flow and great characters. I am somewhat reminded of the movie "Frequency"...except I think writing and story flow  in Signal are   a lot more meaningful, impactful and interesting, whereas Frequency tended to fall flat, down into  writing that left a lot to be desired.  This drama has been pure pleasure to watch because it's such a story-rich experience!  Not a single boring moment, always high tension or absorbing emotions,  characters I care for and root for... An exceptional k-drama that has all the right elements, combines them in the right way..... dramas like this are one in a million, really.

It's a procedural, and not only technically...there are investigations of murders going on...famous cases, fictionalised. The protagonists  belong to a unit  dealing with  cold cases, whose statue of limitations expired. So naturally, they have to dig into the past. ..and the story is presented both in the past and the present so we get two different stories but intextricably linked to one another,  influenced by one another.. ..the cases seem separate at first...but then certain  leads start pointing to the overarching story,  whose main character is Lee Jae Han. He's a detective who as of the present day,  has not been in service for some time. He binds past and present.  We follow his story in the past, unravel the nystery behind him.  and he definitely is the heart of the story, a link, a bridge that ties characters and events together. It's his story, in a sense. Thus, the story goes way beyond  any regular procedural.   There are investigations...investigations into the past...and then there is a character that is both a clue to that past and the main protagonist of his own story.   Together with him, the young detective played by Lee Je Hoon and his team leader,  we  consider the impact of meddling with  events and how our decisions cause other things to change... we see  impact of those things on characters' memories and emotions....the sense of desperation  that comes with wanting to change things and a sense of desperation that  comes about when you discover what is involved in change and sometimes how win and loss  strike each other out.  There are abandoned places, unsolved riddles, - the overall mood of this drama is pitch perfect too. And we travel together with the protagonists to unravel nysteries that  confuse and surprise them, that are of personal significance to them and thus emotional.   It's chilling and exciting - great experience.  But most dramas that are just "thrilling" get old very fast. For a drama to be a keeper, there needs to be more, some substance. This one has it.   I really don't like any regular procedural - i find  them too boring, too sentationalist and just too generic, they tend to lack the things i want from dramas.  But this drama takes some part of that genre and fuses it intelligently with other things and as a result we have something trully unique. TvN dramas have long been my favourites...and here they prove it again. This is a drama with a quality far surpassing other dramas.

Then, there are rich personal backstories of the protagonists, who are all beautifully acted and whose stories are tightly related to one another....intertwined.   Great cast, I really want to see dramas with as talented  and well chosen cast as this one had..they made the characters very relatable, interesting and sympathetic.  Lee Jae Han stands out for several reasons...he is the link to the past and the  heart that binds other main protagonists to him and to one another in a meaningful way.. And he has quickly become one of my most beloved dramaland characters ever. He's very persevering, determined and has so much sympathy for people around him.  There are strong themes of loyalty, of friendship,  through the radio transmission and even a  strong devotion between lee jae han and his "rookie".
Lee Je hoon's character is a brilliant, curious  profiler and Kim Hye Soo a rookie-turned team leader.  Both have strong ties to Lee Jae Han.. Kim Hye Soon;s side adds a personal and emotional perspective on Lee Jae Han himself, whereas Park Hae Young has leads to past cases.. many events in the drama have a profund impact on him and he does go through a change of his own.  He and Lee Jae Han teach each other a lot and develop a unique friendship. The personal stories of all characters add emotional dimension to the cases. Unlike regular procedurals , this one weaves a strong  overarching story that is bound by  Lee Jae Han.

The writing quality is pitch perfect for me...there isn't anything crudely cartoonish, there is great flow that easily absorbed me, that characters are interesting and I care for them very much.  The thing is there is a coherent, emotional story that adds depth and dimension to everything else.. I really rather liked the antagonists too, particularly one of them who seemed conflicted and it showed in his expressions.  The characters are  written and acted out in a way that strongly resonated with me and made love then,

Although the ending is open-ended, i believe this drama does NOT need a sequel. A sequel could just ruin it with something really lame.  Future is uncertain...characters have a chance to make the most of that future - that's what the ending suggests. There is hope...as long as there is will....and as long as there is will, there is a way! Never give up  on things that matter and for characters in this dramas, what matters is  things set right and saving precious people, if possible...and not giving up on things.  I'm very satisdied on all counts with this drama. Very, incredibly satisfying story.

Music is just great too, very moody, with several very haunting instrumentals.  I love this! This drama is one rare case that I am happy to give a 10. Absolutely deserving. I am giving it a high rewatch value precisely because not the mystery counts as such but  characters, implications and connections between them and for that,   there are plenty moments to revisit for sure.

If anyone is looking for a lot of frustration that is lacking from their own lives then they should watch this drama.

The only good thing about this show was the secondary romance.
Talking about the acting, first and foremost Yaya used to be a bearable actress when I watched her older dramas but now she has become a train wreck. She undoubtedly remains beautiful but in the acting department, all I see is a lot of crying. I cannot emphasis this enough, she cries once every 10 minutes in the show. Apart from that she faints and falls and clumsily acts as if she doesn't eat enough food. However, her character is strong and thick skinned when it comes to everyone criticising her and shaming her for everything. There is such level of slut-shaming in this show that it was beyond saving. That too without any evidence. The hero's lack of respect is the worst. It's like being in a relationship with a partner who keeps calling one a prostitute. He never accepts or apologies. The last minute begging isn't enough for me to forgive Thit's character.

Anger and aggression doesn't suit Mark in the least and this leads to such bad acting on his part that I was horrified. His character is beyond redemption in the show and quote illogical. Thit and his sister are the most illogical people in the show. There was a lot of unnecessary screaming and screeching and shoving people into doors in this show. Hated Jee's mother. Thankfully we are saved from any forced intimacy in this show from the leads parts which is a saving grace if there is any.

Plot: The plot seems very interesting on paper but its execution is sadly very lacking. This show had potential but then the melodrama and unnecessary jealousies turned it into a pathetic attempt at a revenge drama. It could have been so so good but alas!

Watch it if you want to claw your eyes out with frustration.
Recommended for people who like a badly executed story, bad acting, lots of crying and screaming and sub-power romance. An okay watch if watched without expectations (I had many because of the hype and sadly disappointed due to it)

If there could be a lakorn which could come close to perfection then this would be it!

Actin: Being my first Sean and Esther drama I had no expectations from either of them and frankly I was surprised. Sean is amazing as Sake. I am in love wit his character because he is so charming even when such a devil. He is a perfect blend of snarky, devious, possessive, protective and caring hero. I hated him with such fervour only to fall in love with his character halfway through. You hate him and love him in equal measure and by the end of the show his dastardly ways had given way to a gentle guy who loved our heroine with such deep passion. Coming to Kate, she isn't the smartest or the strongest of the bunch. But Esther is nonetheless a delight to watch. She is a typical heroine so nothing new there but Esther did her justice.

Romance: Spellbinding and achingly slow but a good slow burn. The romance is like a back and forth witty repartee between our leads. It is filled with childish chases around the house to a childlike pigtail pulling in the show. I love the teasing that they continuously engage in and its lovely to watch.
It's a fine line between being a rapist and teasing the heroine and Sean did his well. The romance does have those typical scenes of forces intimacy but given the cultural background, I'd say it is acceptable to a certain extent. The understanding and the care grows out of nights spent baking together rather than lust-addled brains of our hero or the sacrificial lamb-like innocence of our heroine. It is a relationship born out of force but stays due to mutual love, care and understanding.
Even the second lead romantic arc was cute to watch.

Drama: The show had absolute no drama in the in-laws department. The ladies in this drama were so refreshing to watch. The sister-in-law and mother-in-law were not your stereotypes of bitchy women but logical and smart and kind-hearted. Esther herself is a delight to watch in some scenes as this girl has some spunk despite crying throughout the show all the time. I loved the fiancee and hated the ex-wife with a vengeance. There is no girlfriend beating the heroine up here. Apart from Kate's family, most characters were bearable and quite nice in drama which is saying something because Lakorns have the worst kind of villains all the time.
First of all let me state right out that I am not a fan of Esther's crying and this drama had tons and tons of falling down, clumsily falling down, fainting, did I say falling? All the time. Oh Lordy I hated all of that but then this is a Lakorn and therefore to be expected. Her voice is kinda screechy like most drama heroines so she gets a pass there. I cut a 0.5 in my rating precisely because of her screaming and falling down acts. Unnecessary and stupid.
I recommend this to anyone who likes a good romance with a dash of teasing and melodrama mixed in.

This drama is a jewel in disguise and perfect for getting out of a drama slump. Though Cinderella and the 4 Knights lives solely off its main female lead and all the relationships in the drama itself, it's something you should give a try.

Storywise C4K could not be more cliche. Seriously, pretty much everything about the story was typical rom-com. The plot makes you think you'll get a total reverse harem story but that storyline dies pretty much in episode one since everyone who watched a few rom-coms before knows who ends up with who or at least who doesn't end up with the other person. That is actually also the only reason why I watched it. If it was really a harem story I would've skipped the drama.
Characters
The female lead is amazing. There are plenty of headstrong or stubborn or earnest female leads in the history of dramas, but Eun Ha Won takes that to a whole different level and she does it in a charming way. I was seriously afraid she was gonna be over the top but she was like...a real human being I guess? Someone who didn't seem out of a drama but more like a normal person, you'd meet on the street, and that was so refreshing.
The other characters are pretty cliché, as well as there is a lot of character development you can expect beforehand. Another thing I have to praise though is the fact that finally we have a second female lead that is kinda a love rival but also a friend. She doesn't hate Eun Ha Won and wants to be friends with her, which I think is like a total turnaround from other dramas.
Otherwise the drama totally lives off its relationships and the interactions that come with it. Funny comebacks, lovely couple scenes, and so on and I spend pretty much every episode laughing my head off or being glued to the dramatic scene.

For me C4K is a jewel in disguise because you expect your typical rom-com and you'll get exactly that but in such a refreshing and bubbly way you'll want to giggle your heart out. I totally recommend it for people in a drama slump!!!

I like this part the best out of the series: the script, the cast, the music, etc. The script is nicely written, to me it's annoying when the drama enhaces twist/misperharp too much or portray the character personality too strong, this one is enough. For eg: in few eps (mostly in a few first ones), N'rek is sometimes too aggressive and hasty but it's understandable under the circumstances and it doesn't last too long/go overboard; for P'ek he is reticent controlling type of person but like N'ek it lasts for enough and ends nicely.
Some ppl don't like Mick with Steph, but to me I just hella love them together I always see chemistry between those two especially in this drama, even just their eye contact or hug makes my heart drop a beat.

There're some flaw in the plot (it's not much affecting the drama, I can easily let it pass as there're only total of 4 eps to wrap everything up). The script is nothing special but what makes me addicted is the leads' chemistry. I enjoy every second of their scenes together. Also like the straightforward downright personality of male lead and the no nonsense stupidly innocent. The BL couple are also cute together, Pitcher is nice character-dare to love and dare to admit his fault.
Huge bonusss: August is really really handsome in this series <333333

best drama ever, i'm so pity with Minton when the last episode .  Maewnam she so beautiful girl and about her This drama was based on a really very cute love story ..
and i think so that this cast is perfect for this type of story :)
I love this drama alot........Feeling ugly, wanting to shut yourself off from the world, etc are huge factors in being a teenager. I would say it ls like watching a comedic, cutesy thai MMFD, which is huge praise because I love MMFD. The love triangle may annoy you. It did not annoy me cos in the end the guy I was rooting for won. But ultimately at the end you will understand that both guys contributed into turning Maewnam into the confident chick she was at the end. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a sweet, quick binge
