Sato Takeru is so cute and jumpy. I loved episodes 7 to 10 because of him.
What I like is how this is a true love triangle story where someone kind of gets "friendzoned" I guess.
What I don't like is how ... some people ended up with the wrong person in the end. But it lets the audience be hopeful for the future lol, I wish they had an update on the characters future way later, like 5 years later.
Just watch it if you love how cute Takeru is. And the main guys squinting eyes lol
The characters are so amazing I loved this one.

+1 I Love Time Travel
+1 Unique Medical Themed Drama compared to other medical dramas I've seen
+1 I recognize both the leads from either movies or just seeing them pop up in casts as I surf through different dramas to watch. But this is my first time seeing both of these leads in a drama and I was not disappointed... Both are very talented. I admire their acting skills but I've yet to see more of their acting to see if they make it on my top lists.
+1 Memorable and Impactful Story but not a favorite
+1 Great Chemistry from the leads

I wished the drama received more attention because it was funny, adorable, enjoyable and heart felt. But you can tell it's not a big hit despite the amazing things about this drama. Because of this drama, I've become more interested in acupuncture and the ancient practices of medical treatments. There was a lot of heart poured into this drama. Thank you to the cast and the entire production team who produced this. I enjoyed it well. :)

+1 Amazing Male Lead, he was great with his staring and cry skills, very sociable and relatable character.  Love this actor. He's gorgeous and extremely talented.
+1 Good Male Perspective of Story
+1 Great Sentimental feel to the story
+1 Interesting but not amazing story line. (I mean of course, memory loss is a classic reoccuring theme in dramas)
+1 Music was enjoyable but not memorable or something I'd look up on youtube to add to my playlist
+1 Good enough flow, consistency and transition
+1 Female lead was gorgeous
+1 Impactful story, theme and drama in general but it's not your typical popular hit

-1 Mundane and mellow... (I think this is a melodrama though yes?)
-1 Slow paced towards the end
-1 Get to the point ya'll

I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I watched it because I admire Jo Jin Mo and of course, he did not disappoint me. No I would not rewatch this. It was a nice two day break drama to watch while I wait for other currently airing dramas to air.  (Yes, 16 ep dramas are a piece of cake in two days for me)

Go Kyung Pyo, oh how I adore this man. I'm so pleased that he's finally gotten to be the lead. He plays Choi Kang Soo, a young man who has been moving from neighborhood to neighborhood in the city trying to find his birth mother. He spends two months in each neighborhood then moves on to the next. He makes friends everywhere he goes and generally works as a deliveryman. He moves into the neighborhood where Lee Dan Ah, played by Chae Soo Bin, lives. She's a young woman completely disenchanted by life in "Hell Joseon," where young people struggle and can't find jobs and competition for everything is fierce. Throw into the mix a spoiled party boy rich kid, Oh Jin Gyu, played by Kim Sun Ho and a handful of engaging secondary and tertiary characters and you end up with a delightful rag-tag bunch of young adults facing off against a corrupt corporation.

I was worried that this show would be the usual love triangle (rich boy versus boy boy for the plucky poor girl's favor), but was happily surprised when they veered sharply away from that dynamic after the first few episodes. What played out was a good balance of light cheer and sad drama for a show that ended up being really comforting to watch. I was a little disappointed in the chemistry between the two main leads - but I put a lot of that on the writing and less on the actors. Dan Ah spends so much time being bitter and angry that it can be off-putting at times. There were a couple of places where I felt like plot threads were brought in and then abruptly dropped. I would definitely watch this one again.

Did I mention that I love Go Kyung Pyo? I just want to carry him around in my pocket all the time.

Just finished watching this movie with a friend.  We had both watched the anime previously and this is ok compared to the anime.  you get the gist of the plot line but of course having to tighten the story you lose some of the important details. Some things changed from the anime but they were not bad things, just different. The main girl was spot on with acting like the character she was portraying.

We did laugh a lot too, but that was because we have a tendency to insert dialog during the slow parts. MST style

Imagine going to a restaurant, ordering a sirloin steak which you haven't had in months. Your mouth is running watery while ordering the dish and as soon as you swallow your first bite, you dig into it as if you have starved for months.

Then when you're halfway finished with it, the waiter suddenly takes your meal away and puts the most common dessert in front of you. You know it, you've eaten it so many times and you like it because it's delicious but you just don't want to eat something sweet now. You want your spicy, juicy steak back. But that won't happen. And that leaves two options: Swallow the pill or cancel the rest of your meal. If you do decide to continue eating, be aware that at the very end you might bite on a forgotten nail or something. It sounds disgusting, I know. But don't say I didn't warn you.

One of the worst things that can happen to a drama is mixing up genres the wrong way. You always have one main genre and only glimpses of other ones. It's important to stay true to your roots and never let any side genre take over. Because if that happens, it will ruin the mood like nothing else, especially if they allow the most common plot holes to occur along the way. The story becomes sloppy and all over the place and you just feel like being on a very bad trip. One part of you feels angry and frustrated, the other one feels pity for the impressive first half of the drama that got you so damn invested in the story.

I know that I sound very negative right now and many might wonder why I still gave such a (relatively) high rating considering everything that went wrong. Well, as I said before, those first 9 episodes were almost brilliant. And I would recommend them without a second thought. After that it feels like a sharp clean cut and everyone has to decide for themselves if they are willing to watch the messed up rest. I finished this drama because I was curious about that ending everyone was complaining about. Well... it was indeed something I would have never imagined. It's not explosively unexpected, it's more like the tip of the iceberg after a chaotic and way too long aftermath.

I gave this drama a 8 because there were many things I really, really liked. First of all of course those first 9 episodes that take you on a thrilling journey full of surprises and "what the hell"-moments.

Then those 9 survivors. Believe me when I say that the actors were doing a great job with their characters, most of all Jung Kyung Ho who I avoided for a long time. I didn't even like his role in this at first. He was pissing me off and I never expected to grow fond of him. But I did. He became my most favorite character, along with Baek Jin Hee's role. Those two had amazing chemistry till the very end, and regarding every relationship I've seen in dramas until now, they have become one of my dearest. I loved how they became fond of each other, how they supported each other. I loved their warmth as well as their teasing, and I loved how they encouraged and gained strength through each other. But most of all I loved how Seo Joon Oh (Jung Kyung Ho) became a better person through Ra Bong Hee (Baek Jin Hee).

The music is playing an important role in this drama as well because it literally takes you away. It sets the right mood when the show drifts to the island and focuses on every single person, their endurance, their personal development and different realizations while facing extreme hardships. After listening to it again, it reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki's movies. There is something dreamy about it within the instrumental pieces.

Sometimes their time on the island didn't seem to take itself serious and the group looked like they were on a picnic trip or something. But those scenes never lasted too long, the anxiousness remained and unfolded in no time afterwards again.

After those incredible 9 episodes you get thrown into your typical k-drama world filled with clichés and plot holes and an unexpected overwhelming comedy that makes the drama look like it doesn't take itself serious any more. While confronted with corruption from all sides (one of my most hated tropes in dramas), they behave like they got all the time in the world, calmly chit-chatting at home and meeting up in public as if there's no danger closing in at all - but the villains don't seem as clever either. Not to mention the ridiculous ending that will only hit you during the last five minutes.

Don't get me wrong, I loved most of the subtle comedy parts as well, if I look at them individually. But in combination with the first half of Missing  9, it felt off and ruined the initial expectations I (and probably many others) had. The mix between mystery and later corruption/comedy didn't go well in my eyes.

A few things that remained the same (thank god) were Joon Oh's and Bong Hee's special relationship, me growing fonder of them every time they appeared on screen and those genuine talks between two characters, filled with meaningful closeness and honesty. Contrary to everything that went wrong and could have made me drop the drama, those few consistent things were strong enough to keep me at bay and complete the drama. I've seen way worse than this. What makes this drama such a disappointment is the brusque change in the script that started off great in the beginning and remains brilliant in its core.

I live watched this, I found it that addicting. Like most longer dramas a few episodes are dedictated to the childhood/teen arc before getting any momentum going. When the adults come in and then the initial revenge starts, the drama starts to get exciting. Then, there's a very hot kiss that starts the drama's downfall and it leaves you wondering what's going to happen to our leads. You wonder if the writers got confused or they caved into netzien complaints. They didn't go as dark as they needed to with this and it also seemed as though they gave into viewer demands because Grandaddy was too hot and it unnerved some of the viewers that the relationship didn't seem gross; and they try real hard to push it this way towards the middle end.

Good, cause for revenge. The plan is no real plan, but, its fun anyway, until she  gets the help that isn't any help at all. Rather the helper mucks it up to the point yu wonder if an actor's ego was involved.

Second lead guy and girl are crazy and self centered. Anyone in business, law and medical fields be prepared for laughs.

The PollyAnna doormat lead actually buys a backbone in a tube of lipstick.

After the drama aired, an off-screen relationship was mad public and I realized this is what screwed this project up royally. Because the timeline fits exactlly when the handfuls of suck started to be dolled out.

I wouldn't watch it again, though I admit when it aired I watched episodes multiple times. But, I would recommend as an okay 'between your other drama watch', meaning if you need something to fill time between the days yourother drama airs, watch this.

Be prepared to be mildly disappointed. And I say mild because a few episodes after the kiss you realize you're watching just to see how it ends.

I loved the instrumental OST, hated the Steel Heart song, gawd that song was so horribly out of place for me.

I rated it a 7.5 because there were episodes and parts I rewatched, though I would never watch the whole drama again. Mainly because this is a drama I didn't FF through parts, I watched every episode. So it gets a 7.5 because of the actors doing the best with what was given. And too the actors that ruined this by possibly making the writers work around your relationship, ya'll suck; congratulations on your marriage. They can tell the grandkids they ruined a drama because they didn't want to see each other kiss others.

First of all its a dreadfully slow tale, and if you have a short attention span like me you might not finish it in one seating, there is not much that is going on other then that its a beautiful movie, coming from the same director as rurouni kenshin, here  he pairs up with Kamiki again. Kamiki is a really really good actor, i have been really impressed with him in the kirishima thing. it just wasnt very memorable that is all, i cant recall most of the plot except the adopted sister's envy, the relationship with the three sisters, and Kamiki being a genius shogi player, what i do remember is it was beautiful while it lasted.

Well what should I start with ..... ?

First , this drama look like it was written by a Highschooler !! the story is all over the place jumping from one situation after another and am not sure what they were heading to , and the timeline isn't clear ! and the plot twist at the end like seriously !!!!!!!!!!!! and am not sure if there's a 2nd season & I don't think I'll watch it !!!!

***** The story it has gotten totally ridiculous , it just seems to be repeating certain situations and her interaction with the one that suppose to be close to her just comes across as foolish .

Second , the acting was sooo bad specially the Male lead , the only character that I liked was the male lead Butler !
And the Female lead character was so frustrating & clingy , if there's someone who doesn't want any relationship with me I'll leave them even if they were really close to me I wont make my self look petty or show that I need them like whatever .

3rd , the editing is so horrible & the scenes jump all over ><

Last , I do not know how I finished this & what made me continue till the end !

The best thing about this drama is the emotional impact, it reduced a hardened person like me close to tears several times, the most emotional scene was when Tokuzo separates from his wife, i felt like my heart would break, yes it has its flaws, i felt certain scenes were over the top and overacted but Takeru Satoh brought a certain vulnerability to his character, his character here will vex you and make you want to give him a good shake to knock some sense into him. His acting has been improving consistently in each new project and he has come far since his princess princess D days, as an actor the best thing about him is he can change his personality to suit every character, he does not go for the same characters again and again there is a great diversity in his role selection, his resting expression, body language are different in each drama/film, he is truly a director's dream and in believe he will improve even more .

the supporting caste is great, i was particularly impressed by the actor who played the older brother. Satoh also had an adorable chemistry with the french girl, the child actors brought later in the show were great, all in all it was an exceptional drama that everyone should check out. I am usually able to judge a show better after some time has passed, on account of how memorable it was, how much you can recall' and it is certainly not a forgettable show, you will have a hard time getting the scenes out of your head.

one thing i feel like mentioning are the last three episodes had a sequel feel to it. for me episode 9 was the climax, no event could have been greater, episode 9 was like a side story, and episode 10 was the epilogue, i think these three episodes could have been summed up into one.

Saw this in theaters, it was a pretty decent gangster movie. The kind where both sides show a little shades and good and bad. Mainly Ma Dong Seok is a detective and also kind of shady (not a spoiler, shown in the beginning of the movie). He's working in a squad that aims to get rid of the gangs in the city. Gang violence has deescalated, but then this new crew shows up and starts causing all kinds of trouble for the existing gangs in the city and the detectives. The characters were fun, but the outline of the story is pretty typical. The movie just was a ride through a different story with seemingly a familiar background. Was executed pretty well. I enjoy detective/cop stories so my rating may be a little higher than normal.

I watched about 50 dramas in my life but this is my first time writing a review.. the reason is that I absolutely loved this drama.. despite the tragic plot, it was sorrounded by serenity, joy, will to live. I cried sometimes, sometimes I smiled and sometimes I laughed. While watching it I thought "Life is so important, so precious...If I were Takuto, would I have the same will to live?"
I loved the music, it's still playing in my head...
I loved all the  characters..!! Takuto, Megumi,Mamoru, Hina, Rikuto, Doctor Tanimoto, Mrs and Mr Sawada, Megumi's mother and even  Shigeyuki.
This drama is just perfect, giving dignity to ALS.

if youre looking for an easy to digest drama this is it!, the story its plain but the characters have such a great chemistry that the only regret of the drama is that it has too little of them. Youll be anxious after watching it cause it will be too diffucult to find another great one.
The main character its so atraaactive, he is the kind of guy who is kind of indifferent but at the same time he is also kind of shy, he is supper attractive (mainly because of its "indifference") that it will really melt your heart, plusss he is super loyal. The girl its the clumsy kind, but definetily the girl you will not hate.

My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 is a drama I picked up as a way to keep myself entertained between dramas. I wasn't expecting much since I read it was mostly a teen drama with a side BL story-line (which was my primary reason for selecting this title). To my surprise, I ended up enjoying this drama way more than I thought! That's not to say that this was an amazing drama as it had many plot flaws and unnecessarily prolonged conflicts, but since I only watched this drama to keep me busy between shows, My Dear Loser kept me fairly entertained... and then some!

STORY: 7.0
There is nothing really that grandiose about My Dear Loser's plot and story. It's pretty much your average "nerdy guy has the hots for the popular girl" trope that we've seen a hundred times before. The story focuses on the main character, Oh,  who is in love with the most popular girl in school, Peach. But of course, Peach pays him no mind and her boyfriend, Cooper, just so happens to be Oh's bully. The story also focuses on how Oh is constantly bullied by Cooper and his lackeys, and this is where I find the plot starts to confuse the viewer on the overall message this drama was trying to send as it's characters have no grasp on moralities. As Oh is viciously bullied to the point of assault and harassment, one might start to ask "where the hell are the teachers" or "why doesn't anyone do anything"? These questions are simply answered by making Cooper's character the nephew of the school principal as well as the richest boy in school who no one wants to mess with. But the bullying gets so bad that you stop and wonder why hasn't anyone sued for negligence? The morality of the characters are so convoluted, that there are often moments where the plot tries to give these vain charters redeeming qualities, but their past transgressions make it hard for the viewer to feel sorry for them. My  disappointment  in the plots overall message  is deepened when Oh decides to change himself to look more "hotter" and "cooler". But I personally liked his nerdy persona better and I felt a though this drama should have promoted being true to yourself instead of changing  for others. Oh's and Peach's story had the ending we all expected, and I felt as though the story took too long to get there by making more unnecessary conflict than there needed to be.
Along side Oh and Peach's story was a the BL  side-story of In and Sun. A lot of fans have said that they felt that InSun's story-line was rushed and I actually can't help but disagree. I think their story was handled better than the main couples and had a satisfactory ending. Although I do agree that their story did not have enough background and most fans would LOVE to see another MDL season that just focuses on InSun... Myself included. Their chemistry was actually really nice and their story-line just seemed so pure and innocent. I wold really love to see more of these characters.

ACTING/CAST: 8.0
I have to say that a stand out actor for me in this series was definitely the main character, played by Nanon! He was absolutely fantastic showing a wide range of  emotion and versatility  as the nerdy, quirky and adorable Oh! I was really impressed by him at the beginning of the season but then was disappointed when he decided to gave himself a makeover to become "cooler". It made his character less interesting, basic, and one-dimensional. Stand out actors where also Chimon who played Sun.  Chimon has been fantastic in everything I've seen him cast in, as he always plays his characters with such ease and natural emotions that aren't over acted but also come off sincere. Pleum who played In was also a favorite and Plustor who played the villain Cooper were also engaging and entertaining to watch. The biggest let down for me was Jane who played Peach. He character seemed the most one dimensional and really bland. I don't know if that's the fault of the writing or direction, but her performance just felt stale to me.

MUSIC: 10.0
The music was actually my favorite part of the series! They had a wide range of songs that fit every scene and atmosphere perfectly

REWATCH VALUE: 6.0
Despite the decent acting from some of the cast, I don't think I would watch this again anytime soon. This drama was just a good past time in between other dramas and dry spells.

OVERALL: 7.5
This drama actually is amazingly filmed with great cinematography and a had handful of good young actors that make the plot of My Dear Loser: Edge of 17 an entertaining pastime. Unfortunately, since the plot has morality issues, and some of the characters come off as one-dimensional and vain, this drama is not one I think I will remember for years to come.

Review :) Monarch: Owner of the masked.
This is a typical Joseon setting drama with a series of twisted events, heavy drama, unrequited love and awesome battle scenes. I enjoy how Ga Eun and the Crown Prince fulfill their Joseon love story. I this one much because they've manage to pull the emotions despite of the plot. :)
********Highlights:

*The shyshy couple - hahahaha I hope that this ship of mine will sail. So Hyun is really great and Seung Ho really prove to be a great leading man here. Hahaha si So Hyun lang talaga eh

*Camera shots - Camera angles and battle scene shots were really superb.

*The man named Dae Mok - Woah, this sickin' villain is more than just your super power and super influential one. He'll sure make your blood boil million times because of his wisdom and cunning ways and techniques. He indeed is fearsome.

*That poison thing is money in our time - they've made a plot that is parallel with what's  happening today but in a different way and it says a lot from what we do and act nowadays.

*HWA GUNNAH! - this is not your ordinary girl in the block coz' she's got some long claws, poisonous fangs but a super duper loving heart. Yeah, for me, she's the strongest female kdrama second lead. You'll hate her, love her, hate her again, like her a bit, hate her again, thank her, love her and super love her at the end yeah! Way to go Hwa gunnah.

*Cunning Kko Mol - she maybe is sweet and playful but she's indeed slick and cunning. A good observer but a bit frank little girl that made us smile several times not just because of her cuteness but with the way she teases.

*That mask thing is a freak - well I get it but it was really.... we'll just leave it there since it's  part of the title :) .

*Burn poppy burn - this is my favorite scene of the drama. Hwa Gun fully knowing everything burned the heart of Pyunsoo Group. Yeah and her "smirk" is priceless. Unrequited love plus failure will surely make you furious so... come let's burn some field.

* Kim So Hyun's face actions and heart stopping smile - this is not your typical Kim So Hyun drama were she takes the spot and shine bright. Here she's a dormant virtuous lady that has the face of an angel, wisdom of a hermit but a heart of a mother (well, let's add that honey coated and sugar filled smiles). Though her character was really restricted to grow here, she made it happen with the experience she had. She related her emotions well :).

I'll gave it a 8.7, since they've got really had a hard time punching some lines here. Seung ho and So Hyun are great with adlibs, Ga Eun's story should've been improved, short childhood moments, Dae Mok and late kings story was not elaborated and what Pyunsoo Group really is. :)

Well done KSY and YSH!!!! #fordramalist
