Wow. No ones written a review. First, this drama special is basically a movie. A 1 hour movie. No more episodes, this is it. Also warning it is open ended, BUT I think the ending is pretty clear, so feel free to message me if you're confused. Now onto the review, first this drama is very realistic in my opinion. The characters, their reactions, the ending they all feel realistic to me. It doesn't feel like "ugh another romance I'll never have" it feels more true to life. Secondly, the acting is great. I mean guys it's chae soo bin and dong Yoon, fairly new faces but they've been great in everything. Dong Yoon always impresses me. I mean not just "wow good acting" I mean whatever character he is, his story always leaves a mark. Ji Hoon (Solomons Perjury), Dae Hwi (School 2017), and Gi Seok (If we were a season) all left their own mark on me. I applaud Dong Yoon for always picking stories/characters that I can't get out of my head. Now onto Chae Soo Bin, she is also a great actresss, but unfortunately always pick characters that grate me. Finally, she FINALLY picked a character that I loved and could root for. Do you know how long I've been waiting for this?? For her to pick a character that I liked! I loved her character, and she feels so real and relatable. She has her own story, and feels like her own character not just a pairing to dong Yoon, no she's her own person too. Her story had a great message to all people dating and *spoiler* it's ok to date multiple people, you don't always know what you want, and sometimes it's better to wait*spoiler end* so few dramas portray this, and so few movies, so I'm glad this one did! Thirdly, I personally love the ending. Both characters grow, and I think it really turned out for best. Again, if any confusion message me, and I can maybe clear things up, or we can have a healthy debate lol. Overall this drama special was definitely well done, would have no problem rewatching! I reccomend to all out there! Was this review helpful to you?
I really enjoyed it! It was very well-done, I thought, & decently-paced, in a way that really drew me in, if perhaps while implementing plotlines & characters that one could perhaps say have been done before. However, personally, I have to disagree with the people who are saying there is absolutely no BL(Boys' Love) present at all; I think you just have to go into it without certain expectations & aware of the ban on any [so-called ]"abnormal" sexuality from being depicted on TV & such that is current in Mainland China at the time of this series' release. Sure, the more explicit/physical side of the relationship is almost completely sterilized...at very least from what is actually seen or even too directly-implied, but the more I learn about the novel the more I see that it lines up almost exactly with everything that I was able to pick up from the tv series. And I had NO knowledge of the novel's storyline prior to watching the tv series to give me any clues that were not actually present within the tv series itself. I think people sometimes forget that there is much more to BL & to relationships in general than just outright declarations or the explicit/physical sides of things; and I think at times people also tend to forget that SUBTEXT can also be a very real & canon thing that's used within a story deliberately, not just something which is solely dependant upon people's own personal interpretations or imaginings regardless of the actual canon intention or lack-thereof.
I loved the note that it ended everything on. I thought it tied all of its introduced story-points up pretty well, and the cameo appearance of a certain actor in an episode as the character he played from another BL movie was I thought a nice little easter-egg to include.
- The Acting -
I thought the acting, at very least of the two lead males especially, was very powerful and welldone & very compelling; I thought they also had excellent chemistry and played very very well off of each other. From their facial-expressions, to their vocal-tones, & their overall body-language & everything...it was all so excellently conveyed by these actors that, in my opinion, it crossed into that silver/golden line where really great acting actually becomes completely surreal & even almost UNreal to watch for me in how perfectly & how POWERFULLY portrayed it is..when in reality it is actually a pretty rare person who actually conveys their emotions so well or so flawlessly that it is nearly impossible to so-easily mistake except perhaps if you aren't really particularly attentive or learn'd to such specifics or detail. (But, it wasn't just the leads, many - if not even all - of the rest of the cast also acted very capably well.) I thought the whole cast embodied their characters well, although - I suppose - I can not truly compare the characters from the tv series to those in the novel...nothing I have heard of the novels so far has really deviated from what I had personally seen in the tv series. Of course, every reader of any novel will have their own ideas regarding that anyhow, I'm sure.
I need to give a special shout-out to the actor who played Da Li though as well, the friend with the headphones worn almost all the time, for really standing out to me by conveying so much in what few scenes he did have even without having much dialogue: he was a total scene-stealer. He has really expressive eyes, too.
- The Music -
I only rated the music a little lower because, even though I don't recall outright disliking it or anything at any point & in fact I actually quite liked it generally, I don't recall particularly thinking it really stood out as "Wow! this music is ESPECIALLY amazing &/or perfect" at any point either. So, for me, I guess the music was good & not bad....but, personally, not particularly outstanding or exceptionally memorable either?.
- The Rewatch Value -
Truthfully, I have already seen the entire series twice -- The first time I watched it without subtitles(& I can barely speak or understand even one word of Chinese myself), and the second time I watched it with subtitles just to doublecheck if I had really been following it properly without the subtitles(which I pretty much had - & I definitely attribute that fact to the skill and prowess of the acting & everything itself). And I would definitely rewatch it yet again, & I most likely will very soon, and probably more than once. I could definitely see myself still revisiting it again, sometimes, even in future years to come.
- Overall -
I'm not saying that it's perfect, but personally I really really liked it!...

I barely watch any japanese movies or dramas since I'm more of a kdrama person, but this movie stood out to me since the actors were great and the plot was interesting. Time looping and going back to time and facing the sadness behind the truth really made the drama beautiful in a realistic way. Get ready to cry at the end :'( (sorry for spoilers!!) Overall I enjoyed this movie and I'm not sure if I am willing to rewatch it again since I already know what happens at the end but I certainly do recommend watching it. Overall, Memory Lost was mostly fun and interesting. Wish the second lead had more expression and interaction with the female lead.

I love how their struggles with themselves are portrayed. They have yet to figure out who they are and what they really want and it's all painful sometimes and euphoric other times. I could relate to both their maturity and their immaturity. Both of them, Komatsu and Misaki.
I warmly recommend you to give it a try, it depicts the restless roaming of the youth beautifully.

First of all, I wanna say that this is my second time watching this drama and I don't think it will be the last because I definitely want to watch this over again. When I first watch the teaser of this drama, it already captured my eyes and got me so intrigued. I really want to watch this and when I finally did, I told me self that it was a right decision because everything in this drama is so beautiful. The first thing I like in this drama is the plot itself, the story got me wonder and make me curious about a lot of things and I don't think there's an episode that got me so bored and wanted to give up in this drama. The second thing I really love are the characters or the actors/actress of this drama. I love how they act or portray their character and I just felt that each one of them is truly fit in their character. Also this is the first drama that I never felt angry or annoyed by some character, I think there's no one to hate in this drama because every character is just so lovely and admiring in their own way. And I guess I truly fall for Joo Joong Won, how can I resist him when he's a total package. But seriously, he's someone that was hard to handle. He says things that was different for what he truly feels, he always look for his advantage before he decides on something and he's someone who doesn't let you into his world easily. But once you get to know him, he's amazing and can make your heart flutters in everything he does and say. As for Tae Gong sil, I admire her. She's someone with a pure and strong heart. For me, it isn't easy to live her life and I admire her for enduring to see those scary ghost everyday. Even though she tried to ignore them because it was bothersome and made her look crazy but still she chose to help them. And I think trying to help someone in her own way is awesome. I would say that the chemistry between Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji sub is outstanding that they matched so well because they acted so good and their lovely to watch. In this drama made me also admire Seo in guk, he was so handsome that I just want to have a bodyguard like him. He really portrayed as Kang woo so well that at some point I felt hurt whenever he's hurting in that drama. And I love how the characters developed themselves and change into a better individual as I watch them in the earlier episodes I was amazed how they progress and became a wonderful person. Just like I said earlier, I love everyone in this drama. The ost in this drama are the best, when I heard those song, I fell in love with it. Especially "Touch Love by Yoon mi rae" it was so beautiful and when I looked for its lyrics and I really downloaded that song. Because that song truly fit the drama and conveys the true feelings of those characters. But the most important thing why this drama is amazing, it is because of the values or lessons I learned through this drama. It taught me lesson such as no matter what situation or your life is you must continue in living, never dwell in your past, always acknowledge your own ability and love yourself. This drama is worth it to be recognized and watch by a lot a viewers because eye opener and can change on your perspective in life. I couldn't mention those scenes in this drama that made me change on how I view things because that would be a spoiler. And the last thing that I love in this drama is how it ends. The ending was perfect. When I first watched this drama i never understand the decision Gong sil and Joong won did and I remember saying to myself, it doesn't change anything so why did they chose to apart? but after watching this again I now fully understand it. You can never be in a relationship when you doesn't love yourself and loving yourself means accepting your own ability or your flaws. And if you truly love someone, you just let her discover herself, understand her and accept her for who she is. And so I absolutely love how the story ends. Big round of applause for Hong sister for writing this wonderful drama.
I truly love this drama. I may not shed a tear, cry a river in this drama but it left a mark in my heart that I can never forget about this beautiful drama is.

Story - The reason i watched this drama was based on the intro. I saw it on the trailer and was fascinated by what i saw. I then read the synopsis so decided to watch it. I watched it all in 2 days. It is very well written (aside from the open ending which is why i knocked half a star off. If there is a S2, it's a 10/10).
Acting/Cast - Mike He as usual was very good. Not a role that i would have expected to see him in but he was consistent throughout. Loved the fact that his gorgeous voice wasn't dubbed (hurrah).
Hou Ming Hao - He is a new name to me. He did a good enough job to keep me gripped. The boy can kiss ;-) He showed emotions when needed and really felt his pain.
Zhou Yu Tong - I've read a few comments about people not being able to warm up to her character. I think it depends how you portray the drama. I, personally thought that she was very good. At the beginning there was meant to be humour. Some the decisions she makes are stupid but does redeem herself towards the end.
The other supporting roles, Kudos to the person who played Suo Ge - he really was a great character. I don't usually like the bad guys but i did like him.
Music - Beautiful pieces of music used well in situations. You are beautiful is a lovely song and i have downloaded it. beautiful words and i like the use of English in it too.
Rewatch - I have a love hate relationships with thriller type dramas ... once i know who dunit, it not fun to watch the second time. Although that being said, if i was really in need of a drama to watch, i would definitely choose this one.
Overall - i would recommend anyone to watch this drama if you like action romances. There was no annoying characters and the characters stayed true to themselves. Give it a go

ACTING/CAST: They did their job. The guy playing the violin even looked like he kinda knew what he was doing though.
MUSIC: Not much here really. It's too bad that they dubbed over music instead of really getting to listen to the character play the violin or the characters singing.
REWATCH VALUE: I don't mind a tragedy so much but it was just too slow to see again.
OVERALL: The two guys are cute, there's a ton of pretty scenery, there's the strangest and most flimsy excuse to get the two guys' shirts off for a sex scene that I've ever heard of (you will chuckle when you see it). Otherwise not much else.

TMOPB, is a slow paced drama. Granted that the source material wasn't long to begin with. But the story-telling and how they developed the characters was great.
Pros:
1. The acting is superb. I know a lot does not think that long-haired Mark Chao is appealing or gorgeous enough like Vin Zhang or Vengo Gao but believe me when I say that his amazing portrayal of Ye Hua is so sincere and charismatic, it's impossible not to love him by the end of the drama.
2. Yang Mi. Not just a pretty face but a badass lead as well.
3. You'll love Ali you'd wish there was more of him.
4. Deities and costumes and the setting. Brilliant!
5. Music-wise, it was on point enough to make you feels things on cue.
Cons:
1. Mo Yuan (Not really a con, per se, but I was torn and you get the point)
2. All the side ships. PS. Don't get too attached or invested.
3. The ending. (They did have a happy ending but after all that epic tribulation they went through, I wanted more than seeing them gazing through the horizon.)
4. I still cannot forgive that last costume from Ye Hua. I mean he was so on point all through out the series! What is with that god-awful ensemble in the end?
5. Amnesia-plots really irk me. I dont know why.
Overall, there isn't much to dislike on the series. It was a great experience for me.
