So what was so extraordinary about Ho Goo's love? The drama without straying away too far from the usual kdrama cliches, like archetype characters, or absurd coinsidences and ridiculous comedy, manages to deliver something unique, be different and adress specific issues that not only are taboo when it comes to the dramaland but also ignored and overlooked in reality as well.
Ho Goo's love doesn't shy away from several problems that are incriminated by society like unexpected pregnancy, different sexual orientation, plastic beauty, single mothers working and taking care of their family simultaneously. As well as adressing several society issues like domestic psychological abuse, sexual assault, bullying, dating-sexual abuse, suiside - i can seriously go on. Sounds pretty heavy already?
Well, you can rest assured, it's not. It centers around Ho Goo, an adorkable character and his crazy life full of coincidence and absurd situations. His first love reappears after 6 years but this time she has a secret and everything just keeps getting more and more tangled from there.
The drama actually comes off as way too cute, even fluffy. It relies a lot on comedy but this is exactly what i loved so much about it. The perfect blend of absurd and hilarious coincidences that might make you raise your eyebrow a bit, together with the severity and intensity of all those society issues that people tend to turn a blind to. The drama is a perfect mixture of melodrama and comedy, one of the best i've watched. It starts focusing on comedy and it gradually turns to darker themes without losing its funny spark.
I have to admit that the characters were a little difficult to warm up to. The whole drama actually was hard to get used to. The characters are ridiculous, the situations are bizarre and they take some time to become likeable and feel real/acceptable. The drama gets drastically better after the midway point and it gets seriously addicting too. The main reason i don't rate it higher besides the warming-up-to-the-characters and the unreal coincidences parts, is that i felt that they over-ridiculed a few very serious matters and it felt borderline offensive. However, this was the best way to showcase them without making it too sad, appeal to a larger audience and still send a few messages along the way.
I have only positive things to say about the acting. It wasn't exceptional but it was satisfying.
Choi Woo Sik, exceeded my expections, but i doubt i even had any coming in. He was hilarious and absolutely adorable. A perfect fit for this role. Uee's performance was spectacular, she aced her dramatic scenes, more than anything else. Lee Soo Kyung needs more roles. She was entertaining beyond imagination. Im Seul Ong was another pleasant surprise, his performance was realistic in a questionable character, and always amusing. The whole supporting cast was amazing.
Overall the drama is not the masterpiece of our time, but it's definitely worth checking out. It brings something old and something new together and the results are commendable! I'd recommend this to everyone feeling like watching a significant but still light rom com. Rom com fans will enjoy this immensely, while melodrama fans if you ever feel like something more light-hearted than usual, this is a great choice.

this movie has strong depressing themes and a lot of brutality, rape, war, self-harm even human humiliation, so if you want to watch it, you need to know.
a movie about a girl who is 15 years old that gets taked by the japanese army in occupied korea in 1943.
along with many other girls who are her age and younger, they get raped, tortured and killed by the japanese troops, while most of her friends died, she survives and manages to escape, While in present day 2015, she is a halmoni now and she meets a young shaman 16 years old who suffered a similar fate of getting raped and later starts living with a shaman, the young girl helps the halmoni to go on a journey to send the lost souls of her old friends ( who got raped/killed in 1943) to a better place.
the movie did an excellent job in being both gloomy, dark and melancholic from minute 1 to the end of the 2 hours. I was in fear and agony all the movie. the writing, the cast and the entire production is damn marvelous. ill never rewatch this. but its a MUST watch even though its gruesome and just depressing.
Based on similar real case called the Nanking rape.

about Jo in sung ( its okay thats love, that winter the wind blows ) and his friend jin goo ( Dots ) who started as restaurant waiters and then they joined the mob and ever since they are trying to become big shots within the gangster world.
the movie revolves around jo in sung and his struggles as he is closer to 30 years old and has nothing achieved in his life, with his ill mother who needs medication and his younger brother and sister, he is left to make money the worst way.
the movies plot is never boring and is a great way to tell the story, of how a small time thug becomes bigger and more evil, with his own actions. starting from the first person he hits with his fists to the first person he hits with a bad and goes on showing you how jo in sung evolves into killing and torturing and changing into becoming one of the worst gangsters on the block.
of course a gangster flick cant be done without betrayals and loyalty.
another great actor who is the third amigo is nam gung min, a wannabe director who is trying to make it big, but ends up at the wrong side of the road when he is cornered.
all the 3 leads did a perfect job portraying their emotions and characters
9.2/10 for shampoo johnson gangster family

This drama is the best j-drama I've ever seen. I love how unique (in a good way) this drama is. It's such an adorable, innocent, fluffy, beautiful and intriguing watch that holds your anticipation from start to finish. It had me grinning away to myself, and then I'm welling up the next minute. Don't let those fuwa-fuwa adjectives fool you though, there's also an underlying psychological theme and moments of intense emotions.
The acting - from the main roles to the sub roles - is perfect. I loved the side characters and their stories as much as I did the main characters. The characters are so well-developed. The music fits with each mood. For me, one of the highlights was just the production and camera work. There wasn't a single rushed or shaky scene, and the lighting added to the overall aesthetic. There isn't a single thing I didn't like.
I'm not exaggerating. It has skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list. I made my very manly male otaku friend who has never watched a drama in his life watch this, and he was hooked from scene one. If you're debating about watching it, you should probably just stop what you're doing and watch it right now.
This drama has just taken my heart and I'm sure I'll be watching it again very soon. I'm still reeling from all the happy feels it has just delivered. My poor kokoro.

Since DotS I thought no other Drama can touch me more. ... Okay, know I know it better^^.
Story: I LOVE melodramas. So I thought the Story would be interesting. I know this Drama is from 2000. I thought "Oh it's so old, I don't wanna watch it...okay, maybe it is interesting to see how was Korea in 2000". The Story sounds ... can I say simple? Two people who believe they are brother and sister, but than they have to face the truth, that they are not blood related. Then they loose the contact with each other and years later, they meet again.. I was very excited to see the reaction of the two of them.
Acting: The Acting... Hm, yeah. I think when it comes to melodramas Song Hyekyo is the best actress I've ever seen. Since her Acting in WTWB and DotS, she is my favourite Actress. Now I know why...People can say about her what they want (in relation to her tax scandal) but when it comes to acting, I think she is one of the best. SHK acts as Yoon Eunsuh who lives with parents and a brother until she gets to know that she isn't the daughter of the Yoon-Family. SHK was 19 years old when sie did this drama... She did a wonderful job. When she was crying, I cried, too. When sie was laughing, I laughed, too. But honestly It didn't surprised me very much, because I knew before, how a great actress she is. The big surprise was Song Seungheon. I watched "My Princess" before and thought he is a good actor but not more...After "Autumn's Tale" I love him. He was so emotional. He cried so hard and...I didn't want to see it.
In my opinion the best Actors and actresses are those, who make you cry with them...laugh with them...hate with them... . And he did it. He played the big Brother who loves his sister very much. He would do anything for her, so when they are forced to go different ways, it breaks his heart (and mine, too). The emotions he delivered with his acting were brilliant.
But...now I come to the biggest surprise...Many people may not understand, but before I watched AT I haven't watched a drama or movie with Won Bin (except "Botherhood", but when I watched the movie my focus was on other things). I thought Won Bin was one of those Actors like Lee Minho. Please don't misunderstand me, I like Lee Minho but I think he is a little bit overrated. So I thought Won Bin was very attractive (and he is!) and a ... average actor...But he isn't. He is brilliant. He acts as Han Taesuk, the best friend of Joonsu and a playboy. Honestly, at first I didn't liked Taesuk, but in the End, he was the character I pitied the most. His character changes the most and after a few episodes I pities him so much I wanted to drop the drama. Whenever he was on the screen I cried. Won Bin delivered the feelings and emotions of Taesuk so real that I thought he IS Taesuk. Know I now why Korean love him so much.
The other characters and Actors/Actresses were good, but for me not very memorable.
Music: I love the OST. The Song I love the most is Prayer by Jong Il Young. I don't know her, but the song suits the drama the best. So I recommend it to you (If you like Ballads).
Rewatching Value: I will watch it again, definitly.
All in All: I love the Drama. It is the best Drama I have ever seen. So I recommend it to you very much...BUT if you don't like a sad drama or you don't want to cry much, then you shouldn't watch it. This drama isn't a comedy, but a heartbreaking romantic melodrama. I don't know if there is drama, which is similar and newer...so I can't give you a hint...
i know the drama is old, but I am sure there are people like me who don't know if they shpuld watch an old drama, so I think it is never too late for a review^__^.

I have to admit that at first I watched it because of Mike D. Angelo who plays the part of Jiang Nian Yu but to my surprise I really enjoyed this drama and all the cast.
This is not the drama of the century and there is nothing new in dramaland but the story of the OTP was really cute. I enjoyed every little moment they had!
To my surprise, I really liked the heroine. She is rich, haughty but honest and has a wild imagination. She's a fan of BL mangas and it was really funny to follow her mind. It was refreshing to see the "poor and the innocent girl" as the villain second lead.
The OST "Because of You" by By2 will stay in your head!
At the end, there was a lot of flashbacks but I am very happy to not have missed this drama!
I highly recommend it!

The only complain I have about the film was the extensive sex scenes, it was too much to the eye. In a story like this, audience are more interested in the story than the sexual portrayals. A one extensive scene between the King and Hong Rim and between Hong Rim and the Queen would be enough but in every encounter between Hong Rim and the Queen the scenes are no longer pleasant to the eyes.
I love the ending where the audience are given to chance to have their own conclusion as how Hong Rim really felt. Whether he really love the King or not. Seeing Jo In Sung in this kind of film was shocking and suprising I doubt he will do this kind of film again. Jo In Sung is my favorite Korean actor by the way.

There are three major good points and three major bad points. I'll start with the bad points first.
Bad points: Story, Ghost, Timing.
Let me start off by saying first and foremost, that this story was lacking big time. And the reason for that is the motive of the ghost. I was honestly expecting something much more deep and complex. I suppose the writers thought family bonds were enough of a motive, which in some cases they can be; when there is more development. There are some scenes that especially confused me; I couldn't tell if there was possession going on or just crazy delirium. Both of which don't make a lot of sense with the storyline that was chosen. To top it all off, I feel like certain scenes were timed pretty badly and cause a lot of plot holes all in the name of building suspense. (Which didn't work.)
The good points: Acting, Music, Filmography.
Now to the good stuff~
The acting in this movie was totally on point. The way the actors portrayed their characters was just awesome, especially Kang Byul's acting. Her character switches behaviours frequently in this film and the actress keeps things interesting with each new behaviour that arises. Honestly, I have to say her character's behaviours were quite scary; scarier than the ghost as someone has already stated. Those crazy and odd behaviours that portrayed, when paired with the music and off balance camera angles, always had me on my toes. I kept expecting jump scares to happen, which threw me off for when there was an actual jump scare. It gave me chills occasionally and the way the camera was angled, made me feel like the characters were being stalked in more than one way which gave a pleasant element of creepiness.
All in all this was not a favourite movie choice, I personally felt like it was a slight waste of time and could have been done so much better. There were too many plot holes and things that weren't expounded upon enough to give a clearer picture or to make things more interesting. The end of the movie just left me feeling like: meh.

Ryosei Ryo and sakurada dori are part of the cast, I found that cute because they both were acting in the movie orange too.
The drama is a typical shojo adaptation but this one was so heartlifting and pure that I had to give it a good rating, the acting was good and emotions were clearly presented by the cast, even the paper bag senpai, while the good thing about the drama is that it will engage you in the story and you'll want to know the reasons behind why we can't see his face , so you'll watch it till the end.
The ending was sweet and satisfying even though I feel like a huge idiot but I liked the overall feeling.
It's 25 minutes x 12 episodes totally worth it
7.3/10 the shampoo rates

Before I talk about the problems with the show, I want to discuss the good. At the end of each episode I was always wondering "Oh my god! What will happen next!", the fact it had my eyes glued to screen means it was doing something right. I was never bored. The acting was on point! The actors were really convincing with the characters that they were trying to portray, and please don't get me started on the soundtrack the music left ear worms in my ears and really did suit the theme of the show.
Now let's get into what's wrong with the show. The first thing the bugs me about this show has to be how I can really see how hard the actors are trying and see that some effort went into this, but I can't ignore some of the issues this show has.
I couldn't stand the teacher in the show because she was soo stupid if you ask me! If she is soo uncertain of her love for her boyfriend why is she with him? Why did she accept his proposal in the first place? If she doesn't like the pressure her father is giving her, why not move out? She is clearly an adult who has a career she can totally leave! Also a lot of the crap that came out of her mouth and a lot of the things she does is stupid, irresponsible, and down right questionable! I wish I could say what those things were but that would be spoiling the show, which is a no,no!
Another problem I had has to be how the chemistry between this teacher, student couple felt kinda forced and rushed. Another problem I had with their relationship was how unrealistic and dumb they were in that relationship. They did the worst possible and dumbest things anyone in their situation could do. The story wouldn't of been so heart-wrenching if the couple had been smarter about their relationship. I was face palming at almost every episode because I was confused by this couple.
And the amount of whining this couple did about their lives was annoying! It's like some of their non relationship problems they were facing weren't all that bad and were problems some people wished they had! Watching people who are good looking and living privileged lives complain about their lives is annoying to sit through!
I wish I could give this show a higher rating but this couple annoyed me to the core. This show was entertaining but made me want to rip my hair out. I don't know how a show could have good moments and be very entertaining but make me angry at the same time, which kills me because this show could of been much better.
