WOW

If you like plots on top of plots and more subplots, this storyline is for you. If yo aren't paying attention, you'll miss some critical moments. Thank you producers nd writers you did a great job. The scenery was ok. It will show a person how people will go to make their money. You will see the cast system, which is in China (Which is not only in China). If you are looking for the typical Bad Boy doing whatever to the FL If you want to see a weak mumbling, you can do whatever and I will not do a thing FL. This is not a storyline for you. Some of the Episodes drag. It took me 3.5 days to finish to Storyline and it was worth it.

Li Zhao and Ye Ming Zhu had a great chemistry going on. You could see the love and hurt both of carried, The most of all you would believe that they went through. Your heart felt the sadness of most of the actors and the deep roles they played. You can see the chemistry display by the entire cast members. Ye Ming Zhu is a strong minded , know what see wants, positive role model. The hard ache makes you want to cry.

The scenes of the cut throat Experiment Industry , was eye opening. The ways and means of maintaining rich people's money and how they get it, makes you shake your head. The English Subtitles needs a lot of works. They would always display He for She or Him for her. Sometimes the subtitles would not show up or cut out.

I recommend this Series to be watched. I will watch it again.

WOW!
I didn't want to do the drama marathon again but I did it. The reason is of course this drama. It pulls you in with most ordinary things that you had found boring in other shows.
I wanted to give it 10/10 but I'm trying to restrain myself and be objective so that I don't seam easily impressed or a crazy fan (which perhaps I've already become).
Cast was amazing. All of them! Their acting even better.
Kim Sun Ah is my favorite Korean actress. Characters that she plays are always so vivid and interesting. Role of Shin Mi Rae is not an exception. She transforms from loud and weird (in a fun way) low-ranking government official to assertive and respected figure.
I haven't watched Cha Seung Won before but after this I plan to. He plays Jo Gook a flawed main character but yet very interesting. I felt sorry for him every time he went to see BB. Cha Seung Won played his part so well that 3/4 of the drama I wondered whether he'll betray her out of his own will even though you can clearly see that he is in love with her. And you keep wondering, can she change him?
Other supporting characters were also great. Their stories were fun and interesting. I cheered for Lee Jeong Do and Min Joo Hwa (even though she is a bad girl). Girlfriend from hell Go Go Hae played by Yoon Se Ah (btw. she is very beautiful) also scored few good points at the end.
And one of my favorites from supporting cast is... (drum roll)... Lee Joon Hyuk who plays Ha Soo In. Now I'm going to cry if something happens to him in City Hunter. I've became a fan girl. He is so cute! Like a lost puppy. Kyaaaaa! No, that's not me that's some other crazy fan girl screaming.

But let's get back to the subject of this review.
Story didn't have any unexplainable misunderstanding. You probably seen it before in other drama. Suddenly main characters drift apart without solid enough reason and make a big deal about it. Thankfully there is no such thing here. Almost all plots are logical. And there are not many plot-holes in the story.
The only thing that that I may reprimand writers is that they didn't show enough about Jo Gook everyday moments with his family and when I say that I mean with his mother and child and also their interactions with Shin Mi Rae. Thankfully Jo Gook mother isn't Korean mother-in-low from hell hellbent on making his son's life miserable even though she may seam at first like that.

I wonder if mentioning that Shin Mi Rae ex-boyfriend looks like Hyun Bin is a reference to Kim Sam Soon?

Music was great! I loved it! I've seen translated lyrics and they match the drama perfectly.
Will I rewatch it? Maybe.

Are you still reading my review? Go ahead and watch it! You really should! Even if you don't like political dramas. This one is great!I tried not to make a drama marathon with this one but I failed because I couldn't wait to see what happens next.

You are still here? Why? I told you to go watch it. Okay, I'm ending this review now.
The End. Fin. Das Ende...

One of my favorite Japanese Dramas. I'm a bit biased about this review because I found this drama while looking for non-high school Jdrama rom coms (because I got sick of high school dramas lol)

This drama is great, because for me, it's different. It doesn't have your usual "doki doki" moments, your super melodramatic moments. It's lighthearted throughout.

The acting, especially the main male lead, is definitely one of the best. If nothing else, watch it for him.

Overall, it's not your typical rom-com drama. But it is well written and well acted.

This drama took over my life for a while. Kim Tae Hee is an absolute blast in this drama and the main pairing (which isn't too evident in the beginning) is absolutely adorable. Kim Tae Hee's character is one you're always rooting for and although this drama does lack a "captivating" story line, it's a lovable story line that always leaves you wanting more. The thing I love about this drama and the person who wrote it is he doesn't focus on those stereo typical tragic story lines but instead shows us a character who is finding herself, becoming stronger & moving toward her goal. It's very funny and pretty 'turned up' on the romance, but a fun watch nonetheless.

Won't change the world but will give you a warm fuzzy feeling!

I love this web drama! End of review... 😂
I started watching it as CLC did a song for the OST and as a Cheshire, I had to see what it was all about. The song, called Another Level and sung by Seunghee, Seungyeon and Yeeun, is great and I had goosebumps when i first heard it - a bit like when Red Velvet's Future plays in Start-Up!
What happened next though was that I was completely sucked into this drama. Don't me wrong - it's a formula that's been done before and this one is in fact based on a web drama called Best Mistake - a couple of the cast members made a guest appearance.
Where this wins though is that it's just so sweet - in a world that is pretty rubbish at the moment, this was such an easy watch and just made me happy. Lee Shi Woo who plays the female lead Oh Ji Na (plays Bingbing in Sisyphus: The Myth) is very refreshing as a the school's hot girl who is actually really decent and genuinely nice. One of her friends, Hanna, on the other hand (Yu Ju from Cherry Bullet), is what you'd expect from the Mean Girls kind of genre.
It's also really rewatchable - something you can just leave on in the background.
All in all, it's really sweet and enjoyable. Watch it and feel good about the world :)

This show tried to do too much

I was liking this one most of the way through, but things really fell apart in the final stretch. It was initially a romcom with melancholy undertones and hints of a dark mystery. The story was well developed and the characters were all great - up until right around the time the leads finally got together. Then it’s like a flip switched and everything got chaotic.

The characters started acting like different people, the mystery came to the forefront in really absurd ways, and the relationships between characters just stopped developing. Large chunks of the plot didn’t make sense, and I found a lot of the resolutions really frustrating and unsatisfying.

In terms of the romances, I liked the mains, but I didn’t come away feeling like I really understood how their relationship would work or that they had a strong and authentic foundation. This is mostly because the show just stopped developing their relationship in order to divert screen time to a serial killer plot. The teen love triangle was uninspiring and some of the choices those kids made were utterly baffling. I didn’t feel either potential pairing was a good fit and was not moved by the resolution.

For me this show was largely a missed opportunity to do something interesting with all the great set up it had going for it. It’s a shame the writing wasn’t better, because the cast was great and there was a lot of potential here.

SERIOUSLY THE ENDING!!

Starting so when I started watching the drama it was really good. It give me a happy summer vibe and with all the episode I was like yeah this is something but then the last episode disappointed me very much like I never no one never thought that ending with like that no one. The story line is good and refreshing. And the cast acting was also complimentable. To be honest Kim Tae-ri I was just shocked that she is 32 playing the role of a teenager. I literally thought that her real age would be 27 or 28 but she pulled of the character very nicely
And personally I actually liked the character of Na hee do and Ji wange(idk if I am spelling it correctly). His character was the most humorous one.....and the way he was just stuck to one girl Yu rim throughout was actually the most beautiful thing in this drama.
But all I could say is I'm and almost all of us are disappointed by the ENDING. It could have ve way better or i should say they didn't concluded it nicely. The writer hurried in completing the drama without giving an ending that is acceptable or i should say that they didn't gave an ending that didn't lacked a plot.
Here's a caption I found on Instagram
For me, this endings tells that sometimes you have to let go of the person whom you love the most, even if it's mutual. You can't have it all, you may miss something but missing that person in your life doesn't mean that life comes to an end, you have memories, the happiness, the sorrow, the laugh, the sadness that you both shared together. You can be in love forever even without being with them. And that's the feeling that they wanted to convey. SOMETIMES GOODBYES ARE BETTER THAN BEING TOGETHER EVEN IF THE LOVE IS MUTUAL. That's what I learned.
.
It's just something I wanted to post.....if you could understand what I mean
.
Hope my review were helpful for you💖â˜ș

Not bad

I usually don’t watch the type of dramas that get the adrenaline going. This one got it going but not all that much. I was wanting to skip to the end just to see what happened but I actually watched the entire mini drama without skipping. Which is rare for me.

Storyline - was not all that bad. It did need some work. But what drama doesn’t? It was well done by the actors. It kept me on edge and wanting to see if the ML was really good or really bad lol. I wish it was the former. I was rooting for him to really be a good guy but sad to say he was not. It had a not to bad ending. It is more of a suspense but a good one. I did like it all in all.

Actin/Cast - I thought they did great. ML
I loved him in “My Lethal Man.” He was a good actor in it and he was also a good sociopath in this one. He made me want to believe he really was good. Kind of like the husband in “Flower of Evil”. He is fast becoming one of my favorite ML. The rest of the cast was good. There were some parts that bugged me about the sisters. I can not decide if it was the script or their acting that I had issues with.

Rewatch - it really is not my type or show. I am more of a romantic than suspense and so on. But I Might watch it again down the road. Just watch it once to gain your own opinion.

This leaves a deep impression after watching. They all got what they deserved in the ending and everyone is generally happier, but still it was so bittersweet.

I struggled to follow this story, I found the beginning too slow and I just wanted to see more action because we already know who the killer was. It improved later on and the story made so much more progress. Everything became cohesive and it's just so heartbreaking to watch what could happen to adults who are mistreated as a child.

Baek Sang Ho made me feel too many things about his character. But most especially, I felt so sad for the child in him that he never outgrew of. I think he deserved what he got in the end. As much as I pity his childhood self, he knew what he was doing. I loved how he saw Young Jin saving him when he was a kid. He looked so hopeful and it was sad to see because he could have turned out okay.

The three minions weren't very impressive. That whole mysterious clique seemed like it was hiding something bigger but there really wasn't much substance to their characters or role in the story. They were well acted though but I feel like they were nothing more than a tool to make Sang Ho's character more mysterious and confusing.

This is a solid, well written story. I'm relieved it got better in the second half but the direction was always there. It's unlike other stories that lose their traction in the end. This one was well thought out. From the way the scenes were revealed and in what order, the writer had everything figured out already. That is why it was so nice to watch everything unfold.

I especially love the connection between Young Jin and Detective Hwang In Bum. The relationship they have forged throughout the years and also the trust and affection that In Bum has shown towards Young Jin enabled her to keep going. I think even Young Jin was unaware of this, at least before the case started to make progress.

Jang Ki Ho's change was also convincing and even touching. Again, a victim of an unpleasant childhood. I'm glad he got the chance to change.

And ofcourse Young Jin and Eun Ho. The strong bond between them was so believable and heartwarming to see. I really adore Eun Ho's character so much and the actor did such a good job in portraying him.

Young Jin is amazing and is such a charismatic character. The actress has such a strong presence it was never boring to watch her.

Overall, this is definitely not a fast paced, episodic drama. It was painfully slow for me despite the interesting story but if you manage to let yourself continue watching, the pay-off is worth it.

PS - the cinematography is AMAZING. I love how they zoomed in and out to sprawling views and characters. It really elevated the impact of the scenes. And ofcourse, the OSTs are great too.

I remember I started watching this drama (the first time) because of Mizushima Hiro, after I had seen him in the movie "Drop" I was attracted to his unique acting skills and personality; much like Satoshi Ohno, it seems as if Mizushima Hiro disappears in to the character he is playing. Although, as soon as I started watching, I became completely distracted by Kimura Takuya. The way he played Tsukumo Ryusuke was amazing! All the quirks, mannerisms, attitudes, behaviors, and personalities he brought to the character himself was fantastic to watch. I absolutely loved the way he laughed out loud, talked about brain science, and how he interacted with the other characters/actors. It was also great to see all the guest actors for each episode! Gackt, Sato Takeru, Kamenashi Kazuya, Sugimoto Tetta, Abe Ryohei, Kimura Tae.... And so much more!! I wish a lot more dramas did this. I also wish Mr. Brain had lots more episodes, a second season, a movie, a special episode... it was way too great of a drama to just end at 8 episodes. Also, since I'm writing this review after I re-watched this drama, I now know who a few of the actors are (Kagawa Teruyuki, Shiho, Shitara Osamu, Ichikawa Ebizo) so it was great to watch them! I would definitely recommend this to someone who is just starting out with foreign/Japanese dramas; or someone who likes to laugh or who likes detective dramas!

Not who, but why

It's a pretty decent drama. Some might feel that 8 episodes are few too many for this whodunit setting and I agree but the makers of this drama actually pulled it off and delivered an acceptable outcome. I also think that the length of the episodes helped to get a better understanding of the characters involved. Somewhere around halftime the plot does get a little draggy, but nonetheless the suspense was maintained and especially the last two episodes were surprisingly emotional and entertaining.

I also liked the cast; even though they embodied the stereotypical suspects and seemed character- less and plain in the first episodes, learning about their possible motives and their background stories made oneself sympathise with them. I especially liked the actress who played Bit Na's mother and overall I think the cast did a pretty good job given the limited scope they had to show 'real' character and emotions.

I liked how in the end the focus wasn't set on who actually did it, but on why someone would feel urged to take such an action.
Worth giving it a watch.

perfect

oh, no one understand how happy i am when i found this drama.

as an aroace myself, i'm really happy that we got a drama focusing on TWO aroace main characters. i found myself relating a lot to both of the characters in certain extent. this is why representation matter, to let people know that they're not alone in their journey. that they are not weird for not feeling the same way as most people do.

i love following the character journey from the first until last episode. sakuko's journey in understanding and accepting herself, especially, left the most impression for me

some parts in this drama is a little bit hard to watch. explaining your sexuality to people who are used to see romance in everything is very difficult, not to mention how to handle their reaction. because, obviously, not everyone can accept it right away. questions, disbelief, and "you just havent met the right person" are usually the common reaction and we can see that in this drama as well which is why it's a bit hard to watch, but at the same time, is really important to highlight.

there are moments where i got annoyed with some of the side characters here, but i guess it adds the realistic part in drama. people are not perfect: they make mistake, they might say something that can hurt you, they will not understand you right away.

also, can i just say that this drama make me longing for my own non-romantic family? i can relate a lot to the two characters' fear of loneliness. watching this drama makes me crave for my own best life lmao

all in all, this drama is amazing. my main highlight in this review is the representation, but other aspects in this drama are also really perfect. both actors did really well, i enjoy listening to the ost, the story is also good.

This is the first Thai drama that I've watched, and I've got to say that I'm glad it's over and I can stop watching it now. Thanks to whoever subbed the entire series in English, but there was a substantial amount of translated dialogue that did not make sense or felt super choppy. There were other times where the dialogue just seemed really juvenile? The writing made it so the characters would have to basically spell out how they were feeling to another character. Subtlety did not exist because the characters just wouldn't catch on. And there was such a disconnect with the acting at times as well. It would feel like there was no emotion in some of the actors, especially the extras that would communicate with the more prominent characters.
There's many different story lines within the show, which is fun, but I found myself only rooting for one story line by the end of the 3rd episode (which is Mon and Tofu's quirky friendship). The writing of the characters and the story line just makes you dislike the majority of the cast, and I would either be creeped out, angry, or frustrated, or tired of whatever scene was going on, because everyone is so unrealistically problematic to where I just could not forgive a character for something terrible that they did. Usually, high school/college(?) dramas are unrealistic, but realistic enough to fool you into thinking that this could happen to people in real life, but this drama is a little too much. TIme and continuity is also kind of a mess on this show. I wish I could explain in better detail, but I would have to use examples, which wouldn't necessarily spoil it, but I don't want to risk it.

Basically, I'm glad I watched it, because I got to see the story line that I saw close out, but I never want to watch it again. The music was really cute though, I loved that.

Anyone who loves drama this is the very right choice????????. And I really want to say something to the story writer and director: if you read this please make more of this astonishing work.

Well I must say I wasn't so sure about this drama quite a few episodes in. Not that I didn't like the acting, storyline, or characters really. I think for me it was the main love interests. There were two strong love interests in the drama for me and I must say halfway through I was not digging on Kang Hoon Nam (though later on I really did like him). He really ended up redeeming himself later in the drama, I'll let you watch to see what I mean.

This drama isn't revolutionary or have a particularly original storyline, in fact Yoo Jung Eum's backstory left some holes that still didn't really get explained to my satisfaction but it wasn't a deal breaker.

I really did like the characters, Yoo Jung Eum was definitely my favorite, but all the rest of the characters were great as well, her father, best friend, coach, and even her boss. Yook Ryong was a bit different but I even liked him in the end.

I liked the different side stories throughout as well, the different romances and interactions between characters. I even really liked the coach and her interactions with her team, it really helped you care about her character.

I ended up really liking this cute little romance and would definitely recommend it!
