Onizuka Eikichi is a former bozuzoku who is now acting as a temp gardener at a high school. He immediately attacts attention by assaulting the principal after he calls former students 'trash.' Amid this situation, Yoshikawa Noburu is being bullied by Uehara Anko and her friends. This episode begins the journey of G.T.O., who the director of the school eventually hires to teach class 2-4, the same class as Noboru and other students.

Decided to knock this off my -To Watch list-…

Decided to knock this off my -To Watch list- and it already feels like a combination of Dragon Zakura and Gokusen.  I am hooked and ready to dive into episode 2.

Awesome Intro

I have read the manga and watched the earlier version, however, this adaptation is more on the money than the first. Love Onizuka's character and he definitely stays true to the manga. Waiting for the rest of the characters to catch up. I have high hopes for Aizawa in the next episode.

Great start

I haven't seen the earlier version of GTO so I can't compare.

A piece of advice from the great sensei: Don't die a virgin!

Rofl! Yeah, you don't know what you're missing? XD

gto ep02

From the point of view of the translator, i have an inside look into the technical aspect, the timing, the action harmonized with the dialogs, the succession of scenes ... their work is amazing, the young actors are seasoned professionals .. Wow!
Fresh from the oven my subtitles episode 02:

A Good Start...

...to a familiar drama. Though G.T.O. has been done before, this episode felt very fresh for me for several reasons. The cast, so far, has been very good. I'm especially loving Onizuka's mates, played by Yamamoto Yusuke (back in a b.a. role) and Shirota Yu.
Although most of the scenes play out similarly to it's 1998 counterpart, this new G.T.O. shows promise to be a very good adaptation in it's own right. I can't wait to see what's next.
