Yeon Woo Jin is in talks to be the male lead for an upcoming JTBC drama. The drama aims to start filming in the second half of the year. 

Media outlet JoysNews24 reported on June 1 that Yeon Woo Jin will be Son Ye Jin's partner in the upcoming drama "Thirty-Nine". The upcoming drama will be directed by "Run On" director Kim Sang Ho. The script will be helmed by "Kim Ji Young: Born 1982" and "Encounter" writer Yoo Young Ah. Ahn So Hee, Son Ye Jin, and Jeon Mi Do are also reportedly starring in the upcoming drama. 

"Thirty-Nine" will showcase a female-centered plot that involves friendship, romance, and more. The story will unfold as three friends turn 40 years old. 

The main characters include Cha Mi Joo and Jeong Chan Young. Cha Mi Joo (offered to Son Ye Jin) came from a wealthy family and she's now the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam. Jeon Mi Do on the other hand received the offer to play Jeong Chan Young, a  39-year-old acting teacher. Ahn So Hee and Yeon Woo Jin's character details are not yet revealed.

Yeon Woo Jin is currently part of the ongoing JTBC drama titled "Undercover" with main leads Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo. He will also be part of the upcoming movies "Service" with Ji An and "Unusual Delivery" with Park So Dam, Kim Eui Sung, and Jung Hyun Joon

Yeon Woo Jin got public recognition through the 2012 drama "Arang and the Magistrate". Since then, he has starred in leading roles in dramas such as "Marriage, Not Dating", "Introverted Boss", "Queen for Seven Days", "I Wanna Hear Your Song", and more.

"Thirty-Nine" is a 12 episodes series that will be produced by Lotte Culture Works. It will exclusively air on JTBC.
