Have the same thought, while the ending is darn sad, but it is actually good and follows the story from the beginning. But the epilogue is also nice and works as a balm for the soul
Ok, while the epilogue is sweet & funny...I actually kinda prefer the original ending, bittersweet thou it may be and did break my heart, because it follows through from the very beginning about the birthstone. From first ep we got told that is how it may very well end and I'm ok with it, it's more realistic, goes with the story without some deus ex machina crap. Sad of course, but still good.
Yeah, I really have to wonder just what were those people responsible for edits thinking...or rather, not thinking.
Eh, I actually tend to not write reviews, only some dramas got me so happy or riled up that felt it needed to be shared.
Yup, that's one of the reasons I also joined MDL - not only it's convenient to keep track of dramas, but can also enjoy the community with like-minded people :)

And, lol, I was literally gonna start watching it this morning and then saw this article - good to know it's indeed worth my time :D
Also - we finally get a drama were skin contact is plenty aka as it naturally would be? Ooooh, those are rare ones!
Also, also - I really would advise to go to Blitz fansub page 'cuz the notes they've added really helps by explaining some details I'd otherwise not know/notice ;D

Her master gave her baby clothes to Lu Yuan who then revealed them at a trial to make the Shen family part of the assassinations on Prince Peng Chen to bring them down. The clothes proved she's indeed the daughter of Shen family.
I did succeed. No special settings were necessary, just picked the ep with eng sub. Search for "the sleepless princess" and then scroll down till you see ep 19 with eng sub, 'cuz there are viet and lots of other sub as well before eng one ;)
