well damn, i feel so bad for jing yuan when he decided to let go of the mantle 😢😢😢sure, good for fan yue & bai shue i suppose with the way the drama made it ..but couldn't they have found a way to integrate the two? especially with the talk of mumu/fan yue/ jing yuan, how they share the memory? 😢😢😢left me kind of bittersweet

right? finally no more pale washed out everything!! like, 1 or 3 dramas would be ok or one now and then, but after TMOPB eveeeerything was freaking pastel coloured for years one upon another!
so i'm also loving these vibrant colours, seems more in character with actual chinese mythology & refreshing

yeah, they had just few scenes, but damn that was heartbreaking 😭

ehhh seems kind of useless to cut out mere 4-5 characters...this novel had a pretty small cast, why such huge cutting & merging of characters ;(
also, well damn...if they cut out the rebirth, marriage etc...will the past blindness & scenes involving it also be gone? cuz that...reaaally sucks, those few scenes are what made the romance & their connection so great, meaningful & poignant & his rage after he found out what had been done....
Those scenes were basically what made me truly love the novel & the characters & their relationship.
oh boy, I really hope they manage to keep it even with changes made.
I really don't get it why they must 90% of the time butcher a completely awesome source material and make it significally less & generic.

A must watch for Zhou Ye is Back from the Brink,thou then you'd end up falling for Neo Hou too. Maybe he also needs to be on this list...honestly there are so many amazing young actors in these recent years in China. Truly awesome.

For Wang Xingyue a must watch is The Double. Like...daaaaaamn. His role & acting are just pure beauty there. He's on fire~

Wonder if they're finally dropping all these projects from way back when...would be nice, thou they'll probably look old now 😅

The summary sounds boring, just another regular drama, like....eh, maybe will give it a try once it comes out....

this is so damn good, been a while since I was so hooked and excited for a drama!!!

Best ending ever! Other dramas really need to learn from this and not give us rushed 5 seconds and that's it.
Also, the soundtrack was divine, those 3 pieces ~
