This drama writer, Sakamoto Yuji is the writer of arguably 2 most excellent jdoramas this past 5-6 years (Soredemo Ikite Yuku and Mother).

Its not I dont like the story, I love the scriptwriter's style (I love gegege no nyobo, one of her works). Just like you wrote above, I think Yae is just a supporting chara in the first half
:D thats why I dropped it before, as far as I remember

I want to retry watching Yae, coz Asako Hirooka (asa shirooka - asa ga kita, ongoing asadora) will be conversed to christianity in her later life (60's). I hope they'll handle it well ...
