I think its like what @BrightestStar said:
its hard to promote jdorama using mindset of jdorama lovers :) yeah, maybe there are some open-minded kdrama lovers out there who can welcome any show and any genre, but most of them are hard to accept real jdoramas (oh, and what I mean real jdoramas is NOT ouroboros, hana kimi, itakiss etc, lol ).
I guess in the end we (as jdorama lovers) cant hope too much and just praying that somehow some fraction of kdrama mania will take a peek to some good jdoramas.
:') coz I know its hard to change their mindset and view about drama.
I think its its simpler than that : they just dont want to try new things XD they satisfied with their hallyu oppas :) "why you urge us to change? waeeeee!!!" <3
once again, the key is to pick the right jdorama
looking to your fave... maybe you'll like Proposal Daisakusen, and maybe Osozaki...
try to widen your genre :) jdorama genres range are very wide...
well, the key is to pick the right jdorama as your first gate :) Its hard, I know :(
and... (maybe I'll get some hate from write this, but believe me ;D ) pls note... the best jdoramas are NOT hana kimi, hana yori, itakiss, bitter blood, uroboros etc ... If you think they're the best, well.. thats just mean you havent watch about 40++ better doramas than them :)
There are always good underrated jdoramas, good gems you have never see :) believe me
This law is applied even to me :)
it is ignorance that stirs people to avoidance. ---> I agree about this... And one thing to add:
Like me who avoid kdrama until 2 years ago, at that time (before trying kdramas) there's one side in deep corner of my conciousness that afraid to try kdrama because I dont want to LOVE them as or better than I love jdoramas. I think some purists kdrama lover are have the same things like that: they simply dont want to know there are something better and brighter in the jdrama or c-drama scene, for example :) They just want to keep their love in the status quo, in their bias, in their safe zone ...
Even now I still like that :D I maybe already accept kdramas, but still have difficulty to enjoying c-dramas etc ...
