Thanks to sulkytofu's review, I was prepared for what to expect. I recommend reading their review first and then reading mine as I do make a few distinctions.

I enjoyed this drama! The beginning episodes were hard to get through at first (I'd say ep1-6) but after that, the main leads really start to latch onto me and their romance start to build a lot more. The female main lead did feel a little annoying at first, but--again--after the 6th episode, I really liked her. (The male main lead also felt a bit stiff to me at first but after the 6th episode, I liked him too.)
This isn't a show that's jam-packed with drama, plot twists, etc., thus, why I called it a "low-key" drama. It's fun to watch and nice to watch when you have time or are just looking for a drama that's not going to pull any weird/strange twists. (In fact, I think it gets quite intriguing in the middle of the series! I binge-watched a lot of those eps.)
I also enjoyed the soundtrack a lot! I've one back to listened to it several times and can hum a couple of the tunes. It was pretty catchy and the scenes it played over was memorable.

My biggest letdowns from this show were just 2 things:
1) the secondary pairing's relationship is super cute but towards the end of the series, they don't get a lot of screen time. It's a shame as I enjoyed them very much & would've loved a whole lot more of them, especially from the girl.
2) some characters' endings felt a bit...too easy (as if the plot didn't know what to do with them, so the characters were dealt with in a kind of cheap way, I'd say. But again, I liked the low-keyness of the drama and am glad the overall series wasn't too short nor too long.)

Overall, the drama was enjoyable! Not the greatest, not the worst, just a fun drama to watch. The OST is really good and I've found myself listening to it a lot.

The Love Contract that Last?

This tender swoon worthy miniseries is nothing new yet has a nice pace and flow for the storyline. The twists that de-bunk typical trope pitfalls were fun to watch and consider. The turnaround reveals and warmth from the extended family gave a refreshing add to what the typical 'contract love' stories provide. The chemistry between the leads was very good and 'moments' were swoon worthy. The antagonist throughout became a bit tiring, disjointed and reaching at times. The ending seemed rushed, forced and incomplete which made the overall arc of the storyline miss the mark. It is okay to watch, but for a better landing for the appetite of 'contract love' I would stop watching @ episode 23.

Boring Eye Candy Fest

The story lagged on and on and was so dull and predictable (even the mystery it's based in you can see coming though to be fair there was a small bit of twist at the very end). To be honest the men in this drama are just so attractive they were all I was watching for by the end, especially the ML. Fortunately it's short at onlu 12 episodes because if it had stretched to 16 even the eye candy wouldn't have been enough to keep me from dropping it.

I wouldnt rewatch by a long shot but I WOULD look up all the actors and watch what they're in. Unfortunately it's mainly young, newish actors who havent been in much else but seeing them in this does make me interested in seeing them in other things so if I saw something else had one of these guys in it, partucularly the ML actor, I'd probably be more interested. I dont this this drama suffered from a lack of acting talent but my god the story was slow and saccharine.

Dinner date anyone?

They say don’t talk to strangers.

When I had my first heartbreak the first person who knew about it is the cab driver. I can’t contain my sadness and cried inside the cab, when the driver asked me what is wrong; I just spill out everything to him. He was just listening to me and very seldom interrupts me but his being there with the sympathetic ear encourage me to pour my heart out. Knowing it would be likely to meet him again, ever, I have told him my story in all honesty, the details, the ugly parts and everything in between. There is no holding back. Why? Because he is a stranger. He can judge me, he can give his advice no matter how hurtful it may be, he can say whatever he wants but because he is a stranger to me I can accept it.

This Kdrama is about this premise. The lead actor becomes the stranger that was able to witness the lead actress’s misfortunes in her relationships and become the person she has become so honest and truthful about her life. The guy who is also reluctant to open up about his own relationship and brokenness to others has begun to accept the concept and the comfort of opening up with the person that is not in any way familiar and interested with his stature as a well-known Psychiatrist.

They decided to become the strangers one is comfortable enough to have dinner dates and talk about anything and everything in their lives except the information of knowing ones name and pre-occupation and not crossing the line of liking each other. The truthfulness, the comfort, and the enjoyment of having someone who understand and listen has caused them both to breach their agreement and knowing both their identities has led them to more complicated situations that they need to resolve to stay true.

The story also tackles other relationships that hamper our growth as a person, the fear of judgement and failures, of obsession for acceptance, mental health problems, total forgiveness that brought about healing and transcending social norm that women marry for future comfort rendering them weak and incapable.

I love watching this kdrama and I have lots of take away but what stands is the authenticity of our own life, being true to yourself and to people, we make mistakes and have weaknesses and we suffer the consequences of bad decisions and we should own up to these and not blame our partners, our friends, our work, our peers our families. In our pursuit of what we called “grandiose dreams” in the guise of offering such to people we love are in itself the reasons of our inability to express and show our love and affection. This blinds us and become selfish pursuits to fill our egos. How ironic is it for a successful mother who published a book about good food but can’t even remember a shared meal with her family in her deathbed. Now she feels the pain of longing doubled by the realization of how it also causes suffering to her son deprived of her love. Then time runs out.

Another reason to love it is it's OST from
Eun's Midnight Cinderella, to Shaun's More than Words, Ovan's Would you like to have Dinner , MC's Yummy Yummy, Sondia's Dear My Star and Ryu Ji Kwang's With You. Everything is in my playlist and I even play it on guitar. It just makes me feel good listening to it.

The actors Seo Ji-Hye and Song Seung Hon's beautiful chemistry on screen adds up to the magic also and so with the rest of the cast. If you love light romantic dramas like me, then this should be on your dinner plate.

May we never run out of time loving, the meals we shared on the table become as meaningful as the presence of those around it. Enjoy watching. Bon Appetit!

#FirstKhao i only watched for them

To be honest I started watching it for first Khao. My poor baby Khao was doing all the damn work in the house. New helped a lot in kitchen work but he left too and every time someone asked for something its always khao who went there to help them..i didn't like the way other members kept teasing first over him saying Khao is cute.
Seeing first Khao together must if the time is the only reason i watched it .and taynew thay are fine. But it was so disheartened to see some passing homophobic jokes and rape statements and disguising it as a joke.
Anyways much love to taynew ,sain and my beloved Khaotung and first

Making butterflies in my stomach flutter

I almost never watch Thai dramas. The only Thai drama I’ve watched is F4 Thailand, which is a remake of a Korean drama. So, I really don’t know what an original Thai drama is like.

I got interested in this one because I happened to see an ad for it on the Viu app, and the ad showed some clips from the drama. The actor playing Lune has eyes that remind me of my first Thai celebrity crush, Mario Maurer. That’s why I decided to watch it.

After watching it, I get it now. I really like the story. In my opinion, the main characters are really well-developed. I could clearly understand their actions when problems came up—it felt so smooth and natural.

The character writing is really good and different from other dramas I’ve seen. This time, it’s the female lead who’s the popular one at school, Ms. Perfect. Whereas usually, that role goes to the male lead.

The names of the characters are also thoughtfully chosen. Star really shines and burns herself out to keep glowing, just like a star. Even though it’s tiring for her sometimes, she chooses to keep shining. Lune is such a peaceful character, and even though he doesn’t create his own light, he keeps trying to shine like the moon.

White is literally shining bright. I’d say White is the most standout character in the drama. He’s like the light for his friends and the one who holds the group together. Even though he sometimes feels alone, White is lucky to have Ivy by his side. Ivy, like the climbing plant, represents loyalty, resilience, and strength—three words that really suit her.

Even though I’m sad their "ship" didn’t sail in the end, I don’t think White is ruling out the possibility that they could be more than friends. At the end, White jokes around and doesn’t really acknowledge the boundaries Ivy set in their relationship. So, I think they still have the chance to be friends—or maybe even more.

Lune’s character might be the second lead in other dramas. The kind of character who’s the ex of the main lead and never changes or grows. But Lune is different. Even though he’s a people pleaser, runs away from problems, isn’t decisive, and lacks initiative, his character evolves—or at least, he tries to. Lune knows he’s not in a good place right now, so he’s working on improving himself. That’s a rare opportunity for a character like his in other dramas—this chance to change.

---

Let’s talk about the acting. Honestly, the girls carried this drama. The female cast did an amazing job, especially the actress playing Star. She really nailed the whole “star” identity in her role. When she smiled and was happy, I felt happy too. But when she was sad or angry, all the happiness vanished from her face—it was like seeing a totally different person.

The actress playing Ivy also did a great job. Except for the scene where she cries while apologizing to White. Sorry, but that was one of the worst crying scenes I’ve ever seen. But other than that, her performance was fantastic, and it made Ivy such a lovable character.

As for the male actors, their acting was just okay to me. Nothing super special, but not bad either. What’s good is that they were able to communicate their feelings through their eyes. So, even though their acting wasn’t as strong as the girls’, they still got the emotions across really well.

---

Oh, and I don’t know what the culture in Thailand is like, but while I was watching, I felt like the story would’ve worked better if it was set in college rather than high school. That’s because Lune and Star’s relationship felt a lot deeper than what you’d expect from high schoolers. It seemed like their love was more mature and logical—almost too mature for their age (not in a bad way).

Seeing them wear uniforms while interacting sometimes threw me off a bit. But then again, this kind of romance is exactly what I’d want when watching a drama with adult characters. I’ve watched dramas with adult casts, but the romance felt like something out of a high school story. So, in a way, this is both a critique and a compliment.

Now this is something new!

So what you can look for in this show is not just the leads living their life but also a totally new world of their cool cells.

Talking about the story, for sure it's something new which you wouldn't have seen anywhere else (yes, some say that this show copied the concept from the movie Inside Out but to mention the original webtoon was written before the movie got released so you understand, right?). So in short you will love to see the awesome cells and their life. The story keeps you excited as in what will happen next? What more does the writer has to show us? And yes, the pace of the drama is perfect considering the crew remoulded the webtoon of 500 chapters (and less) into a 14 episodes drama. Yup! Season 2 is waiting up there for you.

Acting isn't something we can forget cause definitely Kim Go Eun and Ahn Bo Hyun gave their best and it turned out pretty well too. Their hard work is definitely reflected in their acting. Since Ku Woong is a guy who's a considerate type of person and someone who does not express much but has a lot of feelings inside, Ahn Bo Hyun indeed played his role in a very smooth way. Forced acting/ fakeness is nowhere to be seen in main leads' acting.

P.S. Well I don't want to rate it for re-watch value cause I just now finished the drama and proclaiming now whether I'll re-watch it or not isn't justice to the drama. I plan on waiting for at least a month or so, and then analysing whether I really want to re-watch it or not. I think that will be the true re-watch value of any show, not just this one ;)

So, I recommend you to start this drama mainly for 2 reasons;
Firstly, the story is something new and it gives fresh vibes so if you want something that can lower your burden then this show is for you.
And lastly, the OST is so good to listen that maybe some scenes were beautifully made mainly because of the BGM <333

WARNING: THIS SHOW IS ONLY FOR ADULTS, SOME SEX AND NUDITY

A short and sweet (ignore sweet, its habit to write sweet with short!) but incredibly awesome 3 episode mini-drama.

Killer K is a bit different show than other Korean shows. This show isn't cheesy-cutie romantic comedy or melodrama but this show is full of blood, intense violence and nudity. But believe me it’s not MINDLESS drama.

The plot is simple – REVENGE like City Hunter and The Bridal Mask but in my view it easily overtakes both in REVENGE. The story is nice and well-paced. Its every second is thrilling. It isn't everything about action and violence but there are few soft and funny scenes too. There is small amount of melodrama too but it’s not too melodramatic.
This show ended in a way that suggests that there are chances of sequel but it’s over a year and still there is no news for second season so I think there isn't any chance for second season.

Killer K is full of violence and ‘ALMOST’ realistic action scenes. Truly this show scores 10 in actions including many incredible fist fights, sword fights and gun fights, BANG BANG BANG!! My favorite is “What’s this??”…..”This is Glock 17 C type…” and bang!!!
If you give 10 to Killer K for actions then Bridal Mask will get 5 and City Hunter 4 for the action (I know comparing action of 1930 with 2010 is idiotic but still overall action feeling). Both looks like kids in front of K. I haven’t seen many action dramas but I think this is best Korean action.

Han Groo is awesome as a KICK ASS high schoolgirl assassin. I don’t know why but I found her incredibly cute even in bloodbaths. Like a reviewer said here ‘She’s BLOODY AWESOME!!’ Can’t wait to see her in more dramas and movies.
Supporting cast is also very good and after long time I saw villains that are actually creepy.

And about music….it matches the story very well. There isn't any song like other dramas but background music is really catchy and makes you excited about fight.

I usually don’t re-watch dramas but this one is the only second drama that I've seen more than one time. I've seen this drama 4 times already and every time I was very excited to watch it like first time.

So, conclusion: If you want to take break from typical genres or want a bloodbath or satisfy your desire of realistic action or blood with awesome girl assassin then this show is for you. You won’t be disappointed and you won’t waste your precious time.
And if you can’t handle (or offended by) some blood, cruel violence, sex and nudity then please don’t watch it.

I decided to watch this drama because it seemed different.
No glamorous idol stars all coiffed and styled. No sophisticated houses and office buildings.
Just funky hair and quirky outfits and ordinary neighborhoods and parks. That was quite refreshing to me.

This drama is laugh out loud funny and random and quirky and fun.
Is there a real, structured plot? Not really. But is it enjoyable and wacky? HECK YES.

Lee Hana and Ji Hyun Woo did a great job as the lead roles and they had fabulous chemistry together.
Also, Ji Hyun Woo's hair was lovely in this drama. Wang Bit Na deserves a special mention because she was amazing as So Ran, the spoiled rich girl. Loved every scene with her in it.

If you are in the mood for a crazy, light hearted drama that doesn't require too much emotional investment, this is a good drama to check out.

First off, I decided to watch this movie because i've been studying Chinese history, as well as reading a biography of Mao Zedong which really pigued my interest. Seeing how this movie, had Mao Zedong in it, I decided to watch it. And this is what I thought...

Story 7/10: This entire movie is basically lifted off of the history books so it doesn't really have a "beginning or an end" since history never does. It starts off from the end of the Qing Dynasty and ends after the initial establishment of the Chinese Communist Party. The reason why I gave this a 7 and not a 10, was because while it was somewhat interesting in some parts it was slow.

Acting/Cast 10/10: They were all flawless. I enjoyed all the actors. I only found one thing funny and that was Mao's personality as well as him being portrayed as a innocent guy who wants only the best for his country. I'm not sure if that was really how his personality was or if it was just how they were portraying him.

Music 7/10: The music was fine and suited the movie just well. None of the songs were memorable though.

Rewatch Value 4/10: I'm not a rewatcher, and this movie isn't a movie I would rewatch.

Overall 8/10: This was a good movie that fans of Chinese history would most likely enjoy. Keep in mind, this was made for China, where the Chinese Communist Party is still in power, so nothing negative about the CCP was shown. Regardless though, I enjoyed watching it.

Obvious from the get go

WARNING this is not a romance series. This series is a slow burn about the locomotive /train industry in china. Its also predictable how this series will end, that I had fast forward so many times. My rating of 6/10 is seriously generous for this series. Avoid watching if you dont have spare time.

Start of the series its about the negotiation of 2 locomotive companies for the past 2 years. Yet it is unresolved for large parts of the drama as each company tries to get the upper hand in this negotiation so its always still negotiating. Tan Jing Chuan is the one that is heading this negotiation.

2ML Tan jing chuan, FL Lin zhen yi and ML Li yan feng are a trio of childhood friends. That's embroiled in this train industry. This relationship obviously becomes a love triangle, Li yan feng for some reason is obsessed with Lin zhen yi, but Lin zhen yi likes tan jing chuan, while tan jing chuan only sees lin zhen yi as a sister. There you go 2020 and its still "dog blooded" like that.

What I dislike was the ML character setup, Li Yan Feng has left china for 10 years but when he returns to china, he is suddenly obsessed with the FL. Stalking her, renting a house next to her and live as her neighbor. He is also 1 of the locomotive's CEO son, a genius of sorts and everything he does is for FL. This is just a silly concept, its like after 10 years of not seeing each other suddenly he is so in love with FL even thou they were childhood friends. Coming back to china, he just confessed to her, doesn't hide that he loves her, wants to marry her, but FL just takes it as a joke.

I really liked ML Oliver chen's role and acting ability in "Goodbye, my princess", which shows that a script really makes and breaks an actor. However for this series the early parts of his obsession was really hard and cringe to watch.

So what's the watching point for this drama?
ML trying to win over FL (non existence romance, skin ship and i only recalled 1 quick kiss in a basketball court, even the proposal is bad, finally FL leaves for Africa just to show another sacrifice for china train industry.... its all about this china train company. The wedding is also in a train and speeches about trains too lol.)
FL eventually being confident to be a successful project leader
ML relationship with his CEO father
2ML love relationship
Plots and schemes of the negotiation
The obvious success of china's locomotive industry after all the challenges (annoyance was that this series kept highlighting the number of employees and hope of china on this company)

Such drama is obvious from the get go, obvious because regardless of what hardship and challenges, this china train company will overcome it. It is pretty much a "butter up" china train industry series, which shows that the employees will take low pay, fall ill, sick, go blind or get heart attack and have family issues but everyone will still work and overcome all challenges for this train company because of loyalty and patriotism.

From getting a free patent from ML that is jobless and was offered 10 million yuan and a position of director for it yet gives it up for free and become an assistant for FL by staying in R&D, to giving up the negotiations, to being an independent company with its own technology etc. Its like even if the sky collapses they will still survive and its because they have a set of beliefs, unity, patriotism and righteous blah blah blah *rolls eyes*.

A cringey, fun, dad humor, show.

Since this show has no review, I decided to write one. This show was my first drama in the sitcom genre. Personally, it's not for me, but nevertheless, I liked it since I watched it with my family, and it genuinely has funny parts sometimes. It's just like those Selena Gomez, Hannah Montana-type Disney kids shows, with quick jokes in between monologues and random characters doing things for no apparent reason. Give it a try if you are into that. The only difference from a Disney kids' show is that in this show, something or the other is constantly happening on the screen; it gives you no room to breathe, and my God, the shaky cam makes it difficult to pay attention sometimes. I watched it for Ji Jin-hee, 7.5/10.

I highly recommend everyone watch this if you haven't seen it. This is by far my favorite out of all the U-Prince series so far. I loved that the male lead roles were flipped in this. Instead of the male lead being a jerk in the beginning and becoming nice, the male lead in "The Lovely Geologist" is a sweet and doesn't get mad easily. The 2nd male lead on the other hand is the jerk.
I fell in love with T-Rex when I first saw him. He looks too sweet and innocent. He's too cute, that you can't help but love him and his sweet smile. The female lead was kind of dumb and forgave too easily but realized her feelings before it was too late.
It had it's moments that will make you go "awe poor baby" then go "HAHAHAHA" because something funny will happen. It was really enjoyable.
The acting wasn't AMAZING but it wasn't bad either. It was good. The male lead did a great job and he hasn't had much acting experience. Same with the female lead but she's done a couple dramas. I loved the different facial expressions T-Rex had.
Overall, it was a cute and funny drama that I really loved and would probably watch again just to see T-Rex!

Mysterious FL, Gorgeous ML

Memory loss is a popular theme in Chinese dramas. But the memory loss in this story is slightly different - the character’s memory is surgically removed. Despite the confusion of the beginning episodes because of poor writing, and poor acting by the female lead, I press on as her mysterious background combined with the mysteries around her captivate me. A murderous hidden antagonist, an investigative journalist, and most of all, a devoted and gorgeous male lead, all these intrigue me with a plot propelled by the mysteries.

When everyone thinks she has died in a car fire accident, Su Yi (Yuan Yu Xuan) comes back to seek for answers of what had happened 7 years ago when her father was slandered and killed in the same accident with her. She has lost memory of a big chunk of her life, including her time with her lover, Li Jia Shang (Liu Yi Chang) whom she doesn’t even know now. For Li Jia Shang, Mu Xiao (aka Su Yi) is his only love and has remained single since she’s gone. The dynamics between the couple, with the assistance of their buddies, Zheng He (Zhang Si Fan) and Xia Xi Yang (Xu Xiao Nuo), are wonderful to watch. Though I didn’t like the FL’s character in the beginning, I began to understand her better as the story unfolds. Having said that, Yuan Yu Xuan’s acting still requires improvement as she’s rather confusing with inappropriate expressions that do not synch with the moments; she is at times stiff and unnatural though she dresses extremely well. I do enjoy Liu Yi Chang’s and other cast members’ acting. I find Liu Yi Chang charismatic and fits the character he plays very well.

My Verdict
The plotline is quite intriguing as viewers want to find out what actually had happened 7 years ago, who Su Yi is, why she cannot remember Li Jia Shang at all, and who the obnoxious hidden villain is. There is a lot of twists and turns, intimacy and passionate kisses, and two pairs of lovely side couples.

There are certainly many flaws and plot holes but everything manages to brush through rather nicely for the ending. Having said that, many events and actions are of no consequence and do not provide additional information for the viewers, understandably they are merely there as fillers. Time and time again, a super nasty annoying character gets away with impunity. The dubbed voices also do not synch very well with the mouth movements.

For romance buffs, the main couple has never split up and has always remained true to each other. I love how devoted and committed Li Jia Shang is. He's always there to help Su Yi whenever she's in trouble.

Easy to watch, relatively short drama with less than 30 mins for each episode. Good enough to entertain.
