Watching this I am reminded as to why I did not enjoy Playful Kiss (the Korean version of this drama). The story really bothers me in some aspects. I do not enjoy watching Zhi Shu verbally abuse Xiang Qin for pretty much the entire drama. What bothers me even more is that she just endures it. I get that he is emotionally closed off and she opens his heart…blah…blah…blah. I still don’t like it. By the end of the drama I wanted her to be with Ah Jin. He was cute, smarter than he seemed once he found something he wanted to do, and beyond that he was good to Xiang Qin and they had fun together.

The acting is good regardless of the story. One thing that I noticed is that even though the cinematography doesn’t compare to the Korean version, it seemed more realistic this way. It worked for me.

I won’t rewatch this. If you can get past the fact that Zhi Shu is a jerk for most of this drama, then I recommend you watch it. Otherwise just skip to the last 3 or 4 episodes.

If you want something to pass the time, here’s a drama for you. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely some great moments in here, but it doesn’t balance the rom and the com very well and the back half stretches out so long that it gets...boring.

At first it’s interesting as we meet all the characters and see the female lead settle into her new job. Then things get cute and romantic as different possibilities open up. Then we run out of conflict since there really aren’t evil schemers and there aren’t enough plot twists to build any obstacles or interest. This is an odd drama that takes place at a work place, but doesn’t seem to know a lot about the work they do.

So the story sort of floats around with lots of characters that I care less and less about. There was a lot of promise at the start of the series, but it didn’t hit any really strong emotional points. Sure the two leads are adorable, but not enough for 16 episodes with little plot.

For a better Noona romance with better developed characters and chemistry, watch Something in the Rain.

Cheese in the Trap really isn't quite your typical story, focusing a lot on human relationships and how we view others around ourselves without quite knowing them in the first place. The hype around the drama before it had aired already had me pretty pumped and when it finally started I was immediately hooked. Unfortunately I contracted Second Lead Syndrome in the very few minutes Baek In Ho had in the first ep. Despite my longing for Baek In Ho's happiness the most the other characters were so very captivating, namely our lead Yoo Jung.

The drama started off so well leaving us so very confused about Yoo Jung's true nature and shined in the moments where we would see a glimmer of the true Yoo Jung with his scenes with Hong Seol. Again Seol was also another interesting character- to be frank she was just a pushover, someone who needed to learn to stand up for herself and say no to others. This is where the drama's real charm comes into place, all the characters are like people we encounter in real life whether that be pushover's, imitators, people misunderstood by society or those who are plain lazy, we as viewers can relate to what hong seol feels when she has to deal with these people.

Regarding the controversies and disappointments with the end episodes, as a self-diagnosed Baek In Ho (Seo Kang Joon) fangirl I had no problem with his increased screen time and focus on his problems. In all honestly there was never going to be an ending the writers could come up with which would make everyone happy for this drama especially considering the manhwa is still ongoing so I do think they did a great job. Instead the ending lets us viewers fill in the gaps the way we want to which I very much appreciated.

To anyone looking for a funny, relatable story that also tackles some of the most annoying types of people you could have ever met don't even hesitate to watch this drama it's amazing. Even better is that now that its over you van binge watch it without the pain of having to wait every week!

A treat for Zombie Thriller lovers ....

(Non Spoiler Review)

No matter what, always stick to the orginal content, there is no compromise in the story and its very brutal, Netflix Orginal drama doesn't disappoint us these days. Every month they brought something really worth for time. All of us are dead probably one of the best zombie thriller i have had watched in recent time. The concept of zombie is now become a cliché, even though this whole drama was a different experience.

This is a webtoon adaptation with same name, the episodes numbers were increased which was unusual for a Netflix Orginal drama also some episode length were little bit high. Some people may feel little dragging in the middle and its understandable because they slowly making this whole atmosphere more and more intense. The making was one of the key factor. Its just unbelievable every time when you watching a zombie thriller. The performance of all those zombie looks scary, here also it's insane.

I didn't felt much of a dragging in the screenplay as i already mentioned they slowly developing the seriousness of the situation. May be we can predict almost every scene that coming next but still some breathtaking moments were there, which gives you a different experience for sure. The performance of the leads was good especially some stories like this, there is always have one or two annoying character who gets all attention, that feels super cliché. But eventually you get annoyed and that's what the makers want.

The emotional scenes, Friendship, little bit of romance also little bit of love triangle, everything was good and perfect fit. Overall all of us are dead is a must watch drama if you are a zombie thriller fan. Every episode is thrilling and engaging till the end. Try it

This is a story about fate, about love, about overcoming heartache and changing ones fate with the decisions you make. For me, i connected with the story and the characters.
From episode 2 onwards this drama was so engaging and its charm and unique take along with a brilliant cast quickly becomes addictive. Initially you find plain Hae Young to be quite pitiful. You find Do Kyeong to be cold and even a little hateful. But as the story unfolds and the push pull between them as well as fate throwing them together you start to care about them as individuals learning to heal and then rooting them as a couple.
Hae Young goes down in K drama history as one of the best female character, not because shes strong or badass but because of her fearless and even shamelessly adorkable way she throws herself wholeheartedly in love. Despite being burn after being dumped a day before her wedding, she promised the next time she will love wholeheartedly. Needless to say wearing ones heart on the sleeves means embarrassment, sometimes disappointment and more heartache. But these are also the qualities that attracted Do Kyung who although initially guilt ridden becomes fascinated and even disarmed by Hae Young's frank and direct nature.
Along with this romance, we have bromance between Do Kyung and bestfriend Jin Sang, Do Kyung and brother Park Hoon and Do Kyung and his sound team workers. All generated good vibes and laughs. Then theres the family love of Hae Young and her wonderful parents who make you cry and feels the warmth of family like you've been hugged. Finally you get a second romance of noona Soo Kyung and Jin Sang. So this drama is full of heart.
What further separates this drama is the out of this world chemistry between Hyo Jin and Eric. They share shy smiles, lover's embrace and sweet to sizzling kisses. Most of all they look really comfortable and believable. I enjoy all the simple moments of them together like walks on the beach, cuddle in front of the tv watch movies and cooking for each other. Theres some cheesiness but it wasnt too bad.
By the end of this drama i still have the warm fuzzies. The biggest take away message is to live with no regrets, like today is your last day. The impeding death visions allowed Do Kyung to open up and learn to love. His character has the most growth.
Honestly after episode 11 and the extension decision, the drama did lose some of its groove and spark. But episode 17 and 18 really lifts it back up along with my spirits.

In terms of ost theres quite a few tracks that are memorable, touching and suit the scenes.
In terms of picture this drama had some of the most beautiful cinematography. Spring is captured in full beauty.
In terms of sound because Do Kyeong is a sound director (what an awesome job) it also makes me appreciate that element.
In terms of clothing, i thought Hae Young's wardrobe kept improving. And like she says love makes her prettier.
In terms of hair, finally Do kyung gel up his hair in the last scene. He looks hotter that way instead of bangs

Rewatch value is high and thats a big plus in my book since i seldom rewatch but theres too many wonderful scenes in this drama. The plot is not without flaws and the characters aren't perfect but then is life ever perfect. This drama just push alot of the right buttons for me. Its a matter of taste but to me theres really a good balance of many things but still emphasizing the beauty of love. Sometimes its that simple: make your loved ones happyn and you are happy.

The series started out good with good chemistry witH in the actors. The directing was horrible and editing just not up to standard. The music was definitely good Scrub saved the show literally. The comedy was good. The plot was weak. Especially how they change for worst from the book. If I was the author I will be disappointed.

Bright acting not so good. U can just watch him for his handsome face. Win acting was acceptable for a rookie. I can see his acting improving as the story progresses. How ever I really hated that Tine character change a lot from a confident and cheerful boy to a winy 5 year old in the last 2 episodes. As for their chemistry as a couple I don’t see it. They don’t act like a couple just a couple of bro who share a room. I m starting to think it is due to Bright acting and the directing.

Weird how they broke up and got back tgt and after that sweet love confession. All they did was hi5 each other. Not even a hug. ?

The series was okay. Abit over hype. There are better GMTV BL out there like TOL and DBK. Definitely not in my TOP 3 bl.

How good is this drama? It has the power to suck in non-asian drama watchers. MALE non-drama watchers of all things. My husband plays World of Warcraft in the same room that I watch dramas, and I caught him watching 'I Hear Your Voice' a few times instead of playing his game. When I was about to put episode 16 on my husband quickly made excuses to his gaming buddies, aborted his game, shut the computer down, plonked himself down on the couch beside me and waited me to hit play. He gave me this look like 'What? I like it ok? Now play the damn drama!'. And he did that for the next 2 eps!

So aside from this drama having the power to lure in non-drama watchers, is a bloody good drama. It'll have you hating and fearing the bad guy, feeling pity for the nice guy in the love triangle who doesn't get the girl, and you'll be yelling a your screen for the main couple to KISS DAMMIT, or yelling at the main character to HIT THE BAD GUY DAMMIT instead of talking to him as he spouts threats and what not. You will become emotionally invested in this drama, so prepare yourself!

FOXY SEDUCTIVE YET CUTE

I loved the story line after watching 8 episodes, I was anxious, so I started reading the novel (the best parts are still there). I totally recommend watching this light, fluffy, and no-mess drama. I loved Luci's acting, especially in some particular scenes. ML (I watched him in Our Secret, and Mr. Bad) is sure a good actor. The actor who played Sang Yan has become my new crush. His physique and style growing up were fabulous. I heard there will be a spin-off, sadly, they aren't considering him for the main lead, although I would love to watch him as Sang Yan again!

This rating will definitely go down

The style of this drama was refreshing and not something I'm used to or would like. It did keep me watching till the end, so it was an enjoyable watch. It definitely isn't a 9 rating for me though, many a times the events that take place are just too "convenient". I hate convenience plots. I'm not a fan of this style of comedy, the beginning scene had me thinking it would a really cool vibe of series but it focused much more on the comedy element. I didn't find it too funny, some of the comedy was kind of annoying and eye-rolling. I hated the villains and I loved the male lead so acting was on point. Overall, it is enjoyable and different but definitely not so high up on my favourite dramas list. I feel a lot of reviews have shared the same sentiment as me lately so I think this rating will definitely go down. If it doesn't, then these ratings aren't right.

Wow, one of the best thrillers I have seen! It's an exciting ride that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire series! I liked everything about this drama - it's short enough to marathon in one day if you want to ;) Watch it - you won't be disappointed!

Cast: Cha U Jin - a righteous prosecutor who has erased a painful memory from 15yrs ago when his former girlfriend died. He meets Eun Bi who is nothing like his girlfriend besides the fact that she looks exactly like her. When he meets her events keep happening that bring him back to the case of his dead girlfriend - what really happened and why did she die? Who is this person called X? Eun Bi - a head-strong and very willful rebellious teenager - she meets Cha U Jin and his partners and starts to change. The prosecutor team were wonderful supporting characters - who devote their time and trust to Cha U Jin.

Music: I only know one song sung by the leading actress I believe. It was pretty and went well with the drama but isn't something I'd listen to outside of this drama.

Re-watch Value: 8/10 - I'll be picking this up again someday - it's a great watch!

I'd write more but then I'd be spoiling things for you. ;)

Closure but could have been better

What i missed the most was seo yul calling "moo deoka" just to get her riled up.
Since this was a sequel i tried not to have too many expectations but somehow the storyline was a pain in the ass.
Let me tell you a story. Then i tell you what happens next but indirectly its the same story with a few details changed and a few other points completely mismatched but enough to keep you hooked.
What ruined the story was the bad chemistry between the leads.
It's not a horrible watch but definitely not something worth sending 10 episodes over as well. You might as well watch it on double the speed.

The drama started off well it gets little draggy in middle but come on which drama doesn't it has a normal plot but the twists and turns are really amazing. The ending is just perfect

Really a lovable drama with lovable cast. The journey comes to an end. Woah! What an incredible journey. If you are up for story then it may keep you glued to the screen or may not. Cause this drama has mixed viewers. The ending was amazing with every character giving you space for open analysis. These are like real life characters. Nobody is perfect, nobody is strong all the time, sometimes love loses in front of circumstances but in the end find their way. The amazing chemistry between NJH and JCW is really a huge factor why this drama has been loved they did more than justice. No other couple can really make me fall for them like jibong.

So if you are here for the reviews ignore the hate comment and go and see it for yourself.

This drama gifted me my new favorite korean actress. Nam ji hyun. What an incredible showcase of emotions she can convey. The ending-she caught me off guard. I cried only when she cried. She deserves super appreciation!

And of course ji chang wook you will always be my bae I love you more after this drama

I may be wrong but I have noticed one thing Koreans have loved this drama when I see the comments on korean and other digital platforms koreans have always been supportive most of the negative comments about the drama have been made by immmature fangirls and jcws previous costar fans or shippers
This drama is definitely a must watch

Perfect storyline, scenes, with super high rewatch value

I'm reviewing this show with a neutral stand on both male leads (i have seen so many bias and negative reviews because of the second male lead). I think both male leads and female leads portrayed their roles well and that is what made the show a success.

To be honest, i continued watching because i was intrigued by the storyline and how it wasn't a typical smooth sailing romcom like many kdramas. For this show, it took around 14-15 episodes to find out which ML the 1FL will end up with. And like how i shared to all my friends, i feel like every scene in the drama is shot to perfection. Super instagrammable backgrounds and the choice of accompanying music was perfect.

As an avid k-drama fan (i have watched countless kdramas and you can hold me to this), i guarantee that you'll love this show. Put aside your biases towards any actors in particular and you'll enjoy it. =) trust me.

All he wants is to resolve his deep sorrow!

I was waiting for this drama since they announced it, and I wasn't disappointed! In FACT, It became one of my all time favorite drama ever. It's such a spectacular 'humane drama', narrated as a mind-blowing psychological thriller!

Psychological Thrillers are always a treat to those who love suspense and making things out in your mind before stuff happen on screen! To top that with a heart-wrenching emotional ride isn't the most common stuff coming out these days, so I urge you please, DON'T miss THIS ONE!!!Without further ado, let's get to the actual review,

STORY: It's sublime and well refined with a DARK STORY-LINE. The main character (Dong Shik) who is a demoted detective, is suspected of killing his own sister, and the others on his team aren't totally innocent. The drama unfolds when a frightening murder happens which resembles ones happening in the span of 20 years to the past! And the young detective from Seoul vows to catch "Dong Shik" for he thinks it must be his doing and he must be the culprit of the serial murder case!

Acting/Characters: Lee Do Hyun gave an outstanding [tho very short] performance as the young Dong Shik.

Shin Ha Kyun's acting is stellar! Once again beyond words! His voice is so fitting, calming and apologetic, as if he have done the world wrong! Yet his laugh is so creepy, it's quite a thrill to look at him smirking. Jin Goo's character is usually cold and unwavering... yet with is amazing acting, he manages to make way into anyone's heart early in the drama!
All the rest of the cast are doing immensely great job, with their acting naturally flowing in, very realistic and never feel forced!
Special thanks to the lovely rookie actress, Choi Sung Eun as "Yoo Jae Yi", I can't possibly think of a better acting for her character! Not even if done by one with far more experience!

Much respect for the amazing portrayal of "Park Jeong Jae" by Choi Dae Hoon he really brought out raw feelings with his marvelous portrayal of a mentally unstable officer who has been living with so much guilt ever!

Music: The score is DRAMATIC, SUSPENSEFUL and very pleasant to listen to. The main theme grabbed my attention from the opening scene, with the beautiful blend of the violin and the percussion. and as for the songs. The song "THAT NIGHT" is the PERFECT music to give anyone chills watching this PERFECT DRAMA! It feels like a sorrowful man's screams and says letting out his long held grudges to be heard by someone in a corner... An absolute classic masterpiece that deserves best music awards for the year! I love the background musics, 'Who is the monster' 'Dong Shik Knows' 'Beyond Evil Opening Title' were absolutely beautiful! And I was getting goosebumps anytime I heard the first few seconds of 'Empty' & 'The Night' in the episode's ending minute!
Rest of the songs are all amazing, The beautiful and sad composition called "The Road" by Sunwoo Jung A is my favorite to listen to again when I miss the drama, especially if I miss Dong Shik and Ju Won's moments together!

LAST WORDS:
This drama is GREATNESS beyond WORDS! and I'm quite bad with crafty expressions, so all I can do, to give this drama justice, is ask you to start watching the first episode RIGHT AWAY, and don't let anything get your attention till you're done with the first! The rest will be history, as a matter of fact, you won't be able to stop watching! Guaranteed!

**Unless you're the type who can't stand very dark and regretful stories!**

A MUST WATCH! If you're looking for a DEEP and FASCINATING HUMANE STORY.

The drama's a bit old, but for Arashians and non-Arashians alike, this was a heartwarming but also very humorous drama to watch.

The story might not seem particularly notable, and actually rather cliche, but Yamada Taro Monogatari turned out to have a very interesting final conflict and ending. It was a touching story about friendship, family, and making it past financial troubles. It's cliche, but you'll just have to trust me when I say it's worth a try if you're looking for laughs AND tears.

I will disclaim that I did not like the first few episodes that focus on the leading actress AT ALL. I didn't like the actress to begin with, and her acting gave me creeper goosebumps. Blech! She gets better later, I suppose. This brings me to the acting/cast...not much to say. This drama was meant to be an idol drama, so I didn't expect much of the acting, and I was right to do so. Nino's acting throughout, though, pulled together the drama for me. His parents [in the drama] were the strangest...people...ever.

I have no comments on the music...I don't remember any of it except the opening theme that made me really energized after hearing it. xD

Rewatch? I don't usually rewatch anyway, but I'll probably rewatch a few episodes that were particularly funny. ;)

Overall, you'll have your share of laughs and of tears. I recommend watching this to loosen up after a long day--it's nothing too serious, but still has some integrity to its plot.

PS: +1 point in "Overall" for the kids at the ending. ; A ;
