Just a heads up that by the time you finish reading this review you could have found and started watching the 10 min episode by now!

Story: the story is pretty simple but cute. I also felt that it was a little too dramatic for the situation, but that just shows how in love Chi Cheng is! The special is only ten minutes and what they had in those ten was nothing special. Its also a bit awkward because the special doesn't make sense after the first season. I can tell a lot happened between the first season and the special and Its obvious it takes place after season 2 which isn't out yet. I feel that the special is a bit of a teaser and it leaves me wanting to know what happened in between.

Acting/Cast: The acting was amazing. Wu Suo Wei is so cute and i love how he acts immature. Then there's his counterpart Chi Cheng that is very serious and mature. They are the typical Uke and Seme. I feel like Wu Suo Wei's acting is what held the special together.

Music: This gets a pretty low grade because of the lack of music. Of course the intro is good but there needed to be more in during the special. Even 30 seconds of a good song would have brought this grade up.

Re-watch value: Like i said its only ten minutes so there isn't much to re-watch. Its kind of a one and done. But that doesn't mean its bad to re-watch. Its just like another episode that you watch and wait for the next.

Overall i'd say just watch it. ESPECIALLY if you are a fan of the 8 episode series! Its not a waste of time at all.

i dont write long reviews. so you can have doubts if i write long story short-
one of the best K-drama i have ever watched, the all-the-time-on-the-run attribute of this drama instigates the thrill feeling, yet to provoke a person to gulp a chill-pill , that feeling cant be described in words, you have to watch and see, dont blame me  if you smile after watching every episode...

The story is so meticulously written that i have no complaint. it is sophisticated yet very well organized.
The male lead Park Shin Yang's performance was refreshing , the female lead has done her work well. As for the other actor and actresses, without their beautiful performances , the main leads' good acting would not be enough.

Honestly, this is the first time i have liked any music in a K-drama and it will make you bang your head automatically.

Yes, it has re-watch value up to the mark. Believe me at your own risk.

They say: revenge is a dish best served cold, what they don't tell you is that it is even better when it is served by three badass women who have a bone to pick.

Everybody knows I love my drama boys but sometimes you just need good ol' girl power to get you going.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and Avengers social club brings you three furious women who've been scorned enough.
Jung Hye, an heiress who has had to put up with ten years of empty marriage, being constantly overlooked as a decoration piece that has no say whatsoever in important matters; Hong Do Hee, a fish-selling single mother who has had to deal with her children being bullied and facing constant contempt because of her poverty and Lee Mi Sook a perfect wife who has had to suffer domestic violence and humiliation on the hands of her husband.

But when you get tired of all the agony, what do you do? You take revenge.
And this brings us a show about how three women band together to stand up for themselves against society conventions, domineering men, stuck-up bitches and anyone who thinks that a middle-aged ahjumma is easy to run down.

However, two is better than three and three is better than four. And the fourth member in this perfectly mismatched group is Jung Hye's smart and compassionate step-son. Just a highschooler who has been constantly abused and used by his parents, he's taking it no more.

And so these four beautiful individuals form the infamous Bokja Club, ready to turn the tables on every bastard that did them wrong.

Avengers Social Club is an excellent drama. Together with genuinely heart-touching moments and high class comedy, it comes out as a quality show that has you totally invested.

The best thing about the drama is the character development. All these people grow together as friends, forming a permanent bond and excellent chemistry, while simultaneously growing strong as individuals. By the end of the show there's not a single person in the drama that doesn't change or grow.
The three women come into their own, embrace the power wihin and their journey is simply heart-warming to watch.

The cheeky instrumental soundtrack makes the hilarious antics of the Bokja Club all the more enjoyable. The drama is beautifully written, shining a light on society's serious issues all the while mainting a constant sense of humor.

All the revenge schemes are realistic and you find yourself whole-heartedly cheering the members on. Even the antagonists, not the brightest bulbs in the kitchen, bring a lot of mirth to the table.
This is a show that gives you pure joy and fills your heart with warmth.

Empowering women, the power of friendship and the message that it is never too late to take a stand; the drama comes with its fair share of unadulterated goodness.

With Avenger Social Club, revenge has never before tasted so sweet.

A must-watch.

I LOVE this movie! It is entertaining and will keep you occupied for 3> hours! The actors are very good and the story plot is interesting and unique. Ok honestly one of the main reasons to why I like the movie is because one of the actors is my idol: wang Roy(??) but the movie was still awesome ???? I would definitely recommend this movie to my friends and I encourage you to watch this movie if you have not yet. If you have watched it already, then rewatch it again and recommend it to your friends!!!! ????????????????????????

I enjoyed this drama on a more profound level than I thought I would. I loved the narrative.  I actually looked forward to every episode to see how the characters would resolve their differences and agree to accept each other instead of trying to change each other.  I particularly relate to how the female lead went through doubts about whether what they had was acceptable to her. I admired the male lead for being so sure of what he wants and going for it. The title of the drama is temperature of love so it would not be right to just expect love at it's most passionate and when it is at it's most frigid.  They had to explore the many "temperatures" that a person has to go through in a relationship.  Love is different for different people and they express it differently, they go through it differently , they have different perspectives, and different expectations.  As a persons who has experienced a few serious relationships, I can understand how there is not one way of experiencing love and attaining its essence.
The acting was commendable and the chemistry between the leads was palpable.  The second lead had just as good a chemistry with the female lead and the love between the men.....enviable.  I also  enjoyed the side stories of the asst. writer and director -cute  and immature, but these types happen in real life.  The sous chef and the other writer,  to me, showed growth in their relationship.  The parents are realistic in that there really are parents who act more childlike than their children, more dependent, more insecure, more afraid.
Yes there were parts that others will see as boring but it's how life is.  There are times when you are searching for direction and nothing much seems to be happening.  I guess i didn't get bored because I felt like I saw fragment of my reality in this drama. I will watch it again someday to savor the experience of the different temperatures of love.

“Don’t worry. I only fight when I know I will win.”

Hye Jung has a high IQ, street smarts, confidence, and she knows how to fight. Hello, dream Kdrama heroine. I love how it was impossible to rattle her. She’s just aces at avoiding uncomfortable situations. I love how she handles these annoying people in her life. She’s not overly moralistic. She’s practical.
Even though they make a big deal about Hye Jung not having a life, she is really passionate and happy about being a doctor. Even though she doesn’t like being close to people she grows to trust and reach out to others without any fanfare or big life learning curves, which I appreciated.

I read reviews that complain about hospital politics. It’s true. They’re useless, but they’re easy to skip over. And I was still riveted by the story telling right through to the end.

Romance
Communication is so sexy. You’re not going to find a couple like this that is so efficient and effective in their ability to get the message across to each other.

“I like that you’re not afraid to admit what you don’t know.”

They make efforts towards each other to be nice and take care of each other. There’s no awkwardness or tension between them. They’re both polite and mature but there’s still chemistry – could it get anymore perfect? Even when they might have romantic things happen between them they’re still so comfortable with each other. That’s not something you see in Kdramas.
And here’s another thing. They are already so equal but if Hye Jung sees the tiniest ahjussi symptoms in Ji Hong she calls him out. I was impressed at her philosophical musings about their potential romance.

“He must feel like a parent who favours their weakest child.”

The pair together is dynamic. I like how the show lets us see them becoming closer in a platonic way. And how they respect each other as individuals and human beings. I like how level their footing is. Ji Hong is impacted by her just as strongly, if not more strongly. Hye Jung is very mature in her handling of their acquaintanceship. Ji Hong can’t help but respect that. Hye Jung is a girl who knows how to cut ties. I was really impressed by her ability to be so selfless even at her young age.
You can see that Ji Hong admires Hye Jung and wants to share things with her. I like that Hye Jung didn’t just crush on him first, but they fell in love simultaneously at the same time.
It was funny how Ji Hong invited Hye Jung to assume the masculine roles of the relationship.

“You like these things. Protecting and looking after people.”

The show just kicks stereotypes in the teeth. I love that despite Hye Jung being tough and everyone viewing her that way, even Ji Hong assumes she wouldn’t enjoy romance.

“There was nothing romantic about it.”
“I thought you hated those things.”
“Why would I hate it?”
“That’s right. Why would I think you hated it?”
“I don’t.”

I love the feeling that I understand why Ji Hong is so enamored with Hye Jung. I can also share his affection her when you see her in action and you’re just like, “She’s fantastic.”

The drama also touches on the dynamic of working together with your significant other. Their relationship is one that I didn’t get tired of. I liked seeing them grow together.

Ji Hong
Ji Hong is easy going and happy but he’s not a push over. He’s not dark and mysterious but he is a cool dude. He’s not an arrogant ahjussi, he’s caring and his gentle side is so sweet and vulnerable. Sometimes he does silly things but it’s fun because he’s older and he’s a very steady character. He is so magnanimous and tender-hearted. I loved the way he loved Hye Jung. So supportive, vulnerable and yet strong.

I love the characters in this show. So well rounded.

Do Yoon
Do Yoon has such funny facial expressions. I loved him in Pinocchio. He gets more screen time here and he’s awesome. His relationship with Ji Hong is gold.

Ji Hong of Do Yoon - “He’s cute. That dork.”

Do Yoon to Hye Jung, “How’s the revenge going?”

Love this guy.

This show is funny! I didn’t expect to laugh so much.

Side note: That quick joke about the scalpel and the watermelon was SO HILARIOUS.
Side note 2: Isn’t hella awkward to have a relationship with someone who STILL calls you “Teacher” in casual conversations?
Side note 3: I like that Hye Jung’s friendship with Soon Hee helps Soon Hee be strong.

Secondary Female Lead
Sung Kyung’s character is pretty annoying but she had some great lines at the end.
“How have you been living your life? Have you only seen those kind of people? What about nice people? Do you think weird people like that make up the entire population? Is that how you decide to treat people?”

Before i go on a rant about this drama, i want to declare one thing. I have realised i am incredibly patient and thank you for curing my insomnia. This year had a series of amazing thrillers and rom-coms and a few disappointments and sadly this drama was one of them.
The problem of this drama is not with the actors or the chemistry or the story-line but the only trouble was this drama was filled with pretentious and fake characters and situations. The biggest selling point that could have been good and luxurious food, turned out to be watery bland soup which turns cold very soon. The story starts losing its charm after a while and you are only left with drinking water.

Genre : Comedy, Romance, Melodrama

Story : A strong writer meets a charming young prodigy chef at a running group and they fall in love. The "temperature of love" stays hot till a few episodes and then goes cold and i don't mean icy cold, i mean the luke warm water that is boring to drink and you get tired of it after a while. Hong Ah is a rival writer who is in love with the chef but Won Joon is a wanna be chef who is in platonic love with Hong Ah. The rest of the characters are mostly pointless and worthless.  Even an actor like Kim Jae Wook couldn't save this drama. There are internal struggles and character developments but the whole setting isn't as effective as to save the theme. Both the professions of a restaurant chef and a writer lack passion and look amateur-ish and aren't as fun to watch. The story on a genral topic isn't new in the drama world and mostly consists of predictable scenes and dialogues.

Actors :
Seo Hyun Jin is someone i personally dislike as an actor. I don't know if she really tries or just goes along with herself but there are points when she's bright in situations that have to be dealt with tragedy and her expressions are useless at romantic scenes. She tries hard to sound matured but she fails miserably and her dialogues of utmost deep romance sound like jokes.

Yang Se Jong has done a good job in making his character an passively emotionless machine and i am convinced. (yes, i am being sarcastic.)

Kim Jae Wook, What do i say about this man, i have been love with this man as an amazing actor and i have followed most of his dramas and he has never disappointed me once. But i could see his struggle and hard work clearly in this drama. His brilliance had me craving to see him more but sadly there wasn't much to his character than a sad man who has everything but is still miserable.

Other characters that could've been worked more on were Cho Bo Ah as Hong Ah who plays a really strong writer and Ji Il Joo as Kim Joon Ha and Lee Cho Hee as Hwang Bo Kyung.

Will I watch it again? Not till i am insomniac or forced to watch with a gun by my head and even then i'd probably fall asleep.

Will i recommend it to anyone? not if i like that person and yes if i want him/her to get rid of his/her addiction of dramas.

Story: Really cute. I love the idea of the story. To  disguise a BL by making the lead a female in a males body was genius and i am surprised i haven't seen much of it. Of course i wish it focused more on the BL aspect rather than making this about a girl in a man's body but for a series it was clever. while some things were cheesy i think it was held together by the chemistry the two had.  It was also SUPER funny. i found myself laughing more than fan girling.

Acting/cast: let me just say that a noticed Mai Ying Xiong  was wearing the same underwear throughout the series. Of course only i would notice that... not that it matters or anything it was just a comment. Plus it was the color grey (my favorite) I do have to say that Gu Si Ren did very well at acting differently between his female character and his normal one. Even though sometimes he seemed to act more like a child than a woman i feel like it fit Lan Xi's personality. But besides that the acting wasn't anything special.  i loved the character development. The way Ying Xiong slowly fell in love with Gu Si was cute. There was nothing about the way they portrayed the characters that i would find to be unique or amazing so for that it gets an average grade.

Music: The music i felt was not played at the right time during one or two parts of the series. None of the music in this series stood out to me the first time watching it. Sometimes i even forget there was music. After the second time i did enjoy it. I did recognize that some of the music was from the other HIStory series. It wasn't bad or anything it just wasn't special.

Re-watch value: as much as i hate to give any BL a low grade this one isn't THAT good. Of course its worth watching but its not one of the best things known to the BL universe. I wouldn't re-watch it unless i was looking to see certain parts again. I was also disappointed with certain scenes but spoilers prevent me from saying which one(s) and why.

I never read a synopsis before I watch a drama I watching just for the actor/idol, because then I second guess watching it like I did with Flowers for Algernon. (that was a big mistake because it rocks).  So that being said I had no idea what type of drama I was getting into with this and after seeing Aiba in Kizoku Tantei I was hesitant to dive into another of his dramas.

This drama was no disappointment at all, it is a believable slice of life drama of single father-hood in Japan.  The child actress was very good and did her part excellently.  There is an unconventional love story here which I will not spoil but I promise you it is there.  The actors did their part of making you believe they are father and daughter, and I totally agree that this drama is totally under rated.  It should be on more peoples favorites list.  And to top it off Episode 10 has a guest cameo of another Arashi member.

Now off to watch another drama.....

I enjoyed this. I thought the show did a good job blending the thriller/supernatural plot with cute romance and comic moments. The actors did a good job and they made for a really cute trio. Woo Tak was especially cute to me. The characters in general were really likable and the romance was sweet. But actually I was more into the trio of friends working together to solve crimes rather than the main romance. Everything was  tied up very neatly and satisfactorily.  I really don't have any complaints about it. It was entertaining, but for some reason it wasn't one of those dramas that had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode. Overall, it's pretty, cute, and fluffy but interspersed with the crime/thriller violence.

This drama is spell binding... Everything is so perfect... Story is amazingly written and beautifully connected to the characters... When you think this is going to be end then you realized holly cow shit it is the beginning of something totally new to you... Wallace reminded me of Sherlock with his amazing and stunning style... The way he walk and the way he communicate with others totally justify the character... Not even for a second you sense that particular C drama irritation which usually experience in the middle... From the first scene till last good bye this drama will capture you... With every scene you try to figure out the things and mostly story get a twist when you think you are about to  reach disclosure path... Huo proved once again that he doesn't need too much skin ship or romance to prove his intensity... His eyes and his expression are enough to make you shiver... He experienced so many painful things in the past but through his character he told us how to deal with the scars of your past... Let it go why to hold it...
As for Jenny's character she is too pretty and too little naive but their chemistry and comfort is mind blowing... Usually such characters over shadowed by the male lead but she filled her character with different shades... Her love friendship and her past experience made her strong... She smiled acted naughty and all shy but when it comes to compatibility she is no less than her partner... She solved cases and figured out the things which other can't even think...
The unique car idea is lovely and I wish to have a friend who gift me such an amazing Audi....
Good luck guys... If you get to know about killer come to share with me... Let's see where and how you caught him...

If i have to describe this drama in one simple sentence, then it would be- Drop Everything And Go Watch This Drama Right Now!!

Story:
The story was the strongest point of this drama. It was REALLY a well written and executed drama. One needs to watch it till the end to get every facts correct. Also you should pay attention to every little detail of the drama to be up to date with the story. I loved the suspense, the thrill, the romance- damn it was just sooo great! The romantic angle of the story didn't seem to forced and jelled well with the story. Unlike many so-called suspense drama where the romance takes a front seat and thrill takes a back seat- this drama is a perfect example of how it should be made. It was great!

Acting:
This was my first Wallace Huo drama and I am well prepared to stalk him for next few months. His expressions, awkwardness, dilemma, confusion, love, hate- everything was on point. He portrayed a complex character of Bo Jin Yan with such ease that you would trust in every word he speaks, it was as if he was living this character. I am a fan for life now. Ma Sandra was also great as Jian Yao. I think she did great with emotional scenes. Her presence in Jin Yan's life seemed so effortless that you start shipping them instantly. Also I loved her character, it was good to see a smart and sensible women in dramaland after a long time. That said Fu Zhi Yu was my favorite character. I loved his chemistry with Jin yan. They were friendship goals seriously. He was like a substitute wife/mother for Jin Yan and it was ADORABLE to watch them together. All the other actors were great too. Not even a single actor seemed miscast or did bad at his role. I did wish Wang Kai's character could have been more than it was, but nevertheless all was well.

Music:
Apart from the ending theme which was absolutely great, this drama had an excellent choice of background music. It has such a Gothic feeling to it and helped the audience to build up the suspense.

Re-watch value:
I hardly re-watch any suspense drama 'cos I already know the ending but I would love to watch the romance scenes from this one. It was so cute and awkward that  you would fell in love with them immediately.

Overall:
Go watch it today. Or NOW! I swear you won't regret it.

Love this drama! This is way better than the first season in various of aspects.

In terms of the story, this season clearly has more solid and well-structured storyline. The plot twists are incredibly shocking and amazing. Sometimes plot twists could come out weird, however, this drama has shown what well-planned plot twists look like. I love it that this season solves a case over few episodes and that each episode provides some clue to the main overarching problem in this drama. Although I feel that there are some unexplained matters which are spread throughout the drama, those do not bother me from continuing this drama.

In terms of cast, I do love the casts in this season more than the first one. Na Young is still adorable and cute, she is even more adorable in this season! Really love her character! And I have an additional favorite character from this season: grandpa (a.k.a. Chief Dept). His character is super memorable. I love how he stands for what he believes and fight back when he is attacked. Tbh, those characters who just remind silent are annoying. The female detective in this season is also better than the previous season. She is smarter and useful than the detective in the first season. Special appreciation for all of the cameos, all of you did a great job!

This drama really has a high rewatch value. However, rewatching it might not feel as exciting as when you watch it for the first time. This is because, in my opinion, the main charm of this drama is its plot twist and rewatching it reduces the beauty of those plot twists as you know already what will happen next.

In short, I do recommend this drama for those who are looking for detective-ish + horror-ish drama. You will find yourself glued to your laptop (or other devices); once you start watching, be prepared to finish it in one go!

PS: I am waiting for the next season! Please use the same casts. AND! please do not 'kill' Na Young... she is the gem of this drama...

For me, this drama lands in my top 5 favorite South Korean Dramas, and probably my top 5 favorite dramas in general.  This was a rollercoaster of a ride, that had complex story, yet three dimensional characters.  The acting, the consistent plot, and the different emotions it portrays made this a hit drama in my eyes, one I would gladly watch over and over again.

Story: 9.5
The story was something I have never really seen before in a way that portrays a woman as the superhero in my days of watching Asian dramas.  I particularly liked the way that it was set up to follow a clear formated path.  It took you down twists and turns of what was going to happen next, but it never, in my eyes, lost what it clearly was.  A comedic story yet with a dramatic overtone.
The only issue I had with the story plot, was the sub-plot that seemed irrelevant in the long run, such as the one with the gang boss and the school gang.  It just seemed like it was meant to fill up time in some areas.  Though I enjoyed some of it, it just didn’t seem to be there except to help with comic relief.  Which is a good thing for a story that is meant to be a comedy but going down a dark path.

I enjoyed mostly the romance between the two leads.  It’s been awhile since I saw the man chasing after the girl portrayed in such a healthy way. Though whether or not a drama can ever portray a healthy relationship is another entire conversation for another day, that I’m not even sure of my own answer.
But this drama comes close it.  The romance is what brought me in, but the action and comedy is what kept me.

Acting/Casting: 10.0
There wasn’t a moment where I thought that the cast was wrong.  I thought every single person who was chosen for their character played it perfectly.  This was in my opinion one of, if not the best casted Dramas I have seen in awhile.  Though some of the sub-plots were boring to me, no one was out of character even in those tiny roles.

The Two main leads had chemistry with each other that skyrocketed through the roof since the first moment you see him lay his eyes on her.  The chemistry between the secondary characters and the leads was perfect and didn’t feel disconnected.

But what I was pleased about with the acting was the subtle little hints that something was going in their head.  The realization to go from a comedic moment to one of the most dramatic was what made this drama click for me.  One of the scenes where you see the male lead in the hospital acting happy, but then that immediately goes away when his family comes into the picture.  The backstory the character built up, showing plan view for others to read.  The second lead who sees the world in black and white in the eyes of the law, struggles with his own feelings of denial, and the grey zone in between relationships.

The sudden switch of emotions of some of the acting, going from comedic to dramatic in a matter of seconds might be off putting to some, but for me, it truly showed the acting skills of the moment.  The scene where she's drunk and brazen, yet vulnerable and sad hits me every time, because it's one of those moments you realize humans are more complex in their emotions than you believe.  This characters were not two dimensional, and I can see that even in the ridiculous characters such as the gang boss, they two were also three dimensional.

Music:  9.0
I’m not really a music reviewer.  So I tend to make this brief with a simple explanation.  The music in this drama set what the moment was going to be.  The comedic superhero entrance or the dramatic, tale of a serial kidnapper who ruins people's lives.  The worst crime you could think of, against the funny, sometimes three stooges comedy that we're going to witness.  Without the background music pushing the feelings, you honestly wouldn’t quite know who to feel.  So overall, the music was good and well placed throughout.

Rewatch Value: 9.5
Re-watch value I believe is all up to the viewer.  If you entirely enjoyed this drama as much as I have, you wouldn’t hesitate to make this re-watch value high.  But if you have issues with it, you wouldn’t necessary add it to you must re-watch list.  For me, it's a highly rated drama that is in my top 5 of Korean dramas I love.  So I highly recommend re-watching it.
