Rewatched :3. Watching it again after 2 years. This drama doesn't let me down. I love the ghost and romance genre, its prefect. For some sort of reason, I got jump scared in this drama from the ghosts, maybe I'm suck. Love the actresses and actors. The story is lovely and interesting. The moment when the both cute Na Bong Sun(Park Bo Young) and Shin Soon Ae(Kim Seul Gi) BAMMMMMM together, perfect cute. Love the Bong Sun quietness and the flirty Soon Ae. Story begins interesting at the back. The romance is on point. Might as well say everything is on point. I love the OST from Ben and Park Bo Young. The moment when I found out that Park Bo Young can sing, melts my heart. One of the best dramas I had ever watched and willing to rewatch. Happiii watching guys!

I loved the fact that Kim Seul Gi is the lead in this drama. She is instantly lovable and sympathetic in anything that she appears in. However, there are better dramas wherein she has shown her lovable and sympathetic side. Oh My Ghost, Second to Last Love and Splish Splash easily outshine this drama. Even her cameos in "Weight-lifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo", "Love Under the Moonlight" and "The Legend of the Blue Sea" were better at conveying her charms.

Story:
Granted that there is an element of Fantasy in drama, you can't make me buy the fact that Mon Nan Hee should get our sympathy, simply because she is as superficial as Park Se Gun. The story description for this drama is so off. Nan Hee is an instantly likable character, except that both leads are extremely superficial (which reflects what Korean culture really values). All I hear is "Yeppeun." I can understand Nan Hee's obsession to become prettier, but Se Gun's character was not fleshed out to the point wherein he makes the audience understand why he's so superficial. There's that backstory about his family (not saying which member), but that doesn't tie-in to his behavior. Mi Ju is no better. How can characters flip flop on their motivations and behavior so easily? The only character that has shown consistent characterization was Tae Hyun, but that was also short-lived, because he accepted the ending so easily. Granted that this was a short drama and fleshing out of characters was limited, it didn't have to be this half-baked.

Acting:
Seul Gi and Tae Sun showed range, and it was glaringly obvious that Seul Gi carried the story and the drama. When there was emotion to be conveyed, these two conveyed the emotions properly. Alas, they were subject to a poorly done script. Hyo Seop and So Hee on the other hand were very wooden. Hyo Seop had three expressions, and So Hee had two. Okay, so they were both very pretty, and I am a big fan of So Hee, because she looks like Park Shi Hyeon and she's really gorgeous, but she really lacks acting skills. Even in melos like "My Love Eun Dong," she was a weak link in the cast.

Music:
If there was a memorable track in a drama that identifies itself with a drama, I can say that it was scored properly. On this one tho, there wasn't anything memorable or stirring. If I watched the drama without music, it would still convey the same story and emotional beats.

Re-watch Value:
The cute scenes weren't enough to warrant a re-watch. While watching the drama, I just wanted it to end so that I can get a conclusion to the story. Unlike other dramas wherein I had to check the progress on the run time because I didn't want the episode to end just yet, this just left me wanting to see the ending so that I can get on with my life.

I will watch anything with Kim Seul Gi, and I am her fan through and through. I just wish that she'd get better material for her drama projects. She is, in my opinion, a very attractive actress, and the fact that she is characterized as "ugly" in this drama, kinda makes me mad. It is indicative of general Korean society that they value aesthetics above everything. It's a real shame that Seul Gi is not getting 16-20 episode dramas where she can showcase her skills and charm.

This is definitely a drama that quickly becomes binge-worthy. I finished it in 2 days because I could not get enough of the main couple, they are so cute! The story and characters are very easy to relate to because a lot of this drama is centered around experiencing love for the first time and how to go from friends to lovers.

I personally had seen Nam Joo Hyuk in Scarlet Heart and I didn't even realize he was the same actor until a few episodes in. He is absolutely phenonemal in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo for several reasons. He played Joon Hyung so well, and he became a very funny and lovable male lead that I could literally not take my eyes off of. His acting with the female lead was very natural and realistic and when he expressed any kind of emotion, he really put his all into it and he surprised me.

Lee Sung Kyung is one of those actresses that I had seen previously in another drama, but she was not a main character so I didn't pay much attention to her. In this however, she shines brilliantly as the main protagonist and was a joy to watch her character develop and grow during her college experience.

Overall, I would highly recommend this light and romantic drama because it's full of great music and comedy that I haven't seen in a while. It also does not drag at all, and it kept me interested from beginning to end.

This C-drama was a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand, I loved the superb acting from the Emperor to the lowly Enuchs. The fantastic storyline, epic scenes and beautiful costumes were also top notch and unrivaled by most historical C-dramas. However, the dark transformation of Zhen Huan did not sit well with me albeit she had to survive in a male dominated world. In my opinion, the paradox of Zhen Huan was found in her desire to satiate her unquenchable thirst for poltical power. The more power she obtained the more power hungry she became while simultaneously she turned into the very people that she hated. I do admire Zhen Huan's strength and resiliency though. I would recommend this drama to anyone who is looking for a strong female lead who not only adapted to a man's world, but she conquered it while paying a heavy price in the process.

All I 'm thinking is it's a shame they cast the wrong cast in some important character, because it's make me less enjoying the drama. It might be explained why the rating is so low. It's also a shame they focus too much time on the couple and less to the more interesting narrative. I don't mind to the slow burn show, but this is not the case here. More like they focus too much time on the couple up and down. Their dynamic is so interesting in the beginning and in the middle with their ups and down as a newlywed couple, but the more angsty they get , the more I lost interest. I appreciate the writers to write the relationship much deeper than your average romantic comedy drama. The conflict the writers create for the couple is something I find refreshing and abit close to realism. The sexual chemistry between them is good and they share an equal good job. They seems comfortable with each other. But unfortunately, I'm not buying their angsty periode, because sorry, Shin Min Ah can't act and it stop me from enjoying their conflict. Not that I hate her, really. Lee Je Hoon is carrying the whole emotional part and eventually completely outshining her. It's even apparent when they are acting in one frame. If one thing I appreciate, is how they depict a time traveler plot as their narrative, it's so well done for me. Often times in time travelling drama I saw, they use a time travelling as plot device to move the story further, because you need there must be something going on in your show where there is nothing left except twist and turn that led to nothing in terms of narrative. The show doing a decent job depict a human nature and fate, and why that particular event happened. The future has already depict the action, which is a brilliant a depiction from the writers. And more over, I really really wish the director need to learn how to hire the right actor. Seriously, several important character who should carry a character justice are not delivered. Acting is one of the think which define the quality of your Drama.

Everyone seems mistook the series as a romance melodrama, which is not the main point about this show. Uncontrollably fond, everyone will do anything to their beloved one, even doing something wrong and unforgivable just to experience a little happiness and seeing your beloved one happy. Everyone whom are involved in all this circle turn a blind eye. Uncontrollably fond depict a court drama without court, There is a victim, a culprit, a judge who use his power to cover up. And there is someone who relate to both side, and interfering I don't find this drama depressing if you try and look the drama itself more objective. If there is flaw about this drama, it's too much PPL and it take the show too long unnecesarily to get the whole point after 4 introduction episode. It makes some people who are looking for a meaty stuff from the writers suddenly lost interest. But I thank the writers, the cast and the director to create this drama. It has flaw, but It's rare to see a mainstream drama acting this solid. It's so enjoyable to watch. Suzy aside, almost an important character is reliable at acting. The acting might be not as strong as the writers previous project, but this is still better than average popular drama out there. And I will never forget Kim Woo Bin's acting transformation and what he bring to Joon Young's character. This is the first time I see him as a real actor. I love the whole atmosphere and ambiance the director created. How he depict emotion each character, those little nuance the actor has shown capture perfectly, he makes the actor shine. Watch for the acting and the directing.

This review may contain spoilers
Intial thoughts before watching were pretty basic: I wanted to know what the hype was. I was familiar with the leads and the story seemed quite interesting.

Story (TINY SPOILERS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TALK ABOUT THIS STORY WITHOUT POINTING OUT SOME THINGS SO BE FAIRLY WARNED): I can't say I enjoyed the beginning because (SPOILER) it became a flashback story and for some reason I don't like those. I don't like episodes of dramas that start at the end and then rewind and I don't like movies that do it either. I enjoyed the middle, I loved the story but I didn't like the ending because (SPOILER) I didn't like him being alone. I really wanted Chul Soo to get his family and the ending goes with hating the flashback type stories.. it's just not my cup of tea. I will say the the story between the two leads left me wanting more- I wanted them together and I think that might have to do with how great Park Bo Young and Song Joong Ki sold their roles. I think the story would have been better if the ending and beginning were cut out.. sorry (not sorry).

Cast: With Park Bo Young and Song Joong Ki in it why not give it chance, right? I wasn't that impressed with Oh My Ghostess or Descendants but I did enjoy Hot Young Bloods, Strong Woman, and Running Man so I decided why not. Song Joong Ki can act, like wow- barely any lines at all but prefect deliverance. Park Bo Young really shined, too. Their chemistry was dead on, you can really buy into what they are selling. I also like seeing her as the spunky girl, it fits her "image", I guess haha. It was funny seeing Yoo Yeon Seok as the "villain" because i have only ever seen him as the good guy in Romantic Doctor and Eighteen and Nineteen.

Music:... I have no idea.. it never bothered me so I'll say it fit well.

Rewatch: Most likely- I'll probably skip the beginning or watch certain scenes but I would recommend this to my friends and anyone else who is still debating watching or not.

Overall (any last comments): I would honestly love a remake or something without the flashbacks or for these two to star together again..

OK but not good enough

if you are looking for a Drama that can run your feelings like rollercoaster
than this drama is good enough

beside that.
the story , there's big holes that makes you lose all the immersive feelings after watch.
there's still big question thats not answered because some variable are totally doesn't make any sense at all.
it is fantasy. but writer should have enough answer to any kind of variable question that viewers may had.

if we compare to another kdrama with similar fantasy . such as "W".
they have enough answer to any kind of variable that viewer may had.

its OK. but not good enough .

I watched this from a clip in a Multifandom. This drama was amazing and yes be expected to question the actions of some characters and maybe yourelf if you have or do go through some similiar problems.
It covers important things that a lot of people especially the youth tend to struggle with. In all I cried and laughed and cried and just smiled. I loved it because they played the characters so good.

If you have not watched this yet and are than prepare yourself for this beautiful rollercoaster.

It's been a while since I have felt so much hate for a main character. Arrogant male leads in Korean dramas are everywhere and generaly I don't mind them, I quiet like them actually, because most of the time in the end their "arrogant" attitude is exagerated and underneath all of that, they're good people. But the description of this drama really isn't lying "Se-Gun is handsome and confident, but very vain and shallow".

The STORY here, of course, isn't anything original but it just screams fun! Comedy, romance and a cliche moral about beauty is really all we need to relax after a hard day and it really kind of had all that, but...

The CHARACTERS, especially the main male lead, were unlikable and that's an understatement in some cases. Se Gun is a shallow douche that only cares about looks. He's fine with everything about a girl as long as she's pretty. Sure, by the end he falls in love with the "ugly" (NOT!) girl and magically becomes a better person and a better character with some sappy development driven by, of course, a sad past. Now to begin with Se Gun's character isn't exactly the worst, they just handeled this type of male lead very badly, exagerating his flaws to the maximum and making him seem like the vainest person ever. Were this a full lenght drama I would have dropped it solely because of him. The female lead wasn't exactly a treat either. Her motivation for liking the main lead was the same - she claims to like beautiful things. The difference is that she just wasn't really a bitch about it...I don't know if that makes it okay though. Not to mention the fact that she had little to no self respect which I can kind of overlook as just a character trait but be warned.

90% of the cute moments in this drama were torture, because they were fake! While Nan Hee had her ring on, everytime something nice happened it was extremely bitter sweet because the writers just had to make sure that you know that Se Gun is only dating her because of her looks! I just could not overlook it, especially when the second love interest for our female lead was 10 times better than this jerk.

Sure the ending was cute as hell and I'm very into this "inner beauty matters the most" moral that I could almost overlook everything that's bad about this drama but I just can't, I won't even let myself! As a woman I respect myself too much to see such chararter as Se Gun be romanticised and justified. He even blamed everything on Nan Hee...*sigh* I just can't

Didn't notice anything horrible about the acting. Not a fan of So Hee's acting though. Happy that Seul Gi finally got a main role, sad that it had to be this drama. Don't remember anything about the music. The cinematography was as unintresting as ever.

There is absolutely nothing about this drama that's worth your time, you can look at a screenshot of the beauty that is Hyo Seop and you would have seen everyting good about this drama. Maybe...maybe if you're easily pleased then you will enjoy it but I really don't recommend it.

This drama started to be interesting and the more you watch it,the more you crave for it. It makes your heart flutter the way the lead couple act so real, their gestures and body language, their acting are great. I've seen the movies and drama of these two main actor and they are very good in what they are doing and at the same time, beautiful face, and beautiful body, what more you can ask for. Most of the time the drama makes you feel happy, you can't help but smile the sweetness when they were together. It also makes you cry whenever sad moments occur. But I am happy that I was really entertained, no problem with in-laws who are always against their marriage in Korean drama. You won't get bored watching it. Its worth watching and re-watching.

Two guys finally move in only to have the sister show up for an extended stay. Misunderstandings abound.

Total run-time: about 70 minutes. This is Part 2 of the Love Place series.

STORY: There's a lot more here as it's a continuation of Part 1 and because it's twice as long. Shouta is an idiot and a bit of a douche still, bumbling around misunderstanding everything and hurting people along the way and his boyfriend and sister are clueless that the time they spend together is hurting Shouta and of course Shouta prolonges the agony because he simply won't speak up. At least there are some touching scenes, especially that first kiss (hot) and the bathtub scene. Well, by the end of the movie, maybe Shouta grew as a person, who knows? They will probably live happily ever after. . . until Shouta's next misunderstanding. Also there is one super hilarious scene but in the back of my mind I can't help but think the actions amount to criminal assault; a joke gone too far. There is a short 10-min after-story that is tacked on. Not sure what the point was, but the two guys are hot and dressed to kill.

ACTING/CAST: The cast is very attractive, and there's very good chemistry between the 3 leads and they performed well.

MUSIC: Uh, there is one song in this that is decent but the rest of it seems like porno quality.

REWATCH: Sure, i'll watch it again with a friend.

TL;DR: Standard BL movie complete with a sulky lead who misunderstands everything while causing as much emotional damage as possible to those who love him.

A love triangle between a guy and his supposed "girlfriend" and another guy who is his "boyfriend."

Total run-time: about 38 minutes.

STORY: This is the super common trope of the girlfriend being the third wheel. Other than that, the story is rather short and there's a lot of scenes with no dialog even though enough is said by the activity and body language. At least there is no tragic ending; everyone survives this film.

ACTING/CAST: I really liked the girlfriend's part. I think she played it well. The other two actors were decent though this film was really too short for any real character development.

MUSIC: The main song of this was quite good. I really liked it. It poetically summed up the whole movie in one song. I'm going to listen to it again.

REWATCH VALUE: Not enough here to really want to see it again.

TL;DR: Short story with a tired out trope of a guy who strings along his "girlfriend" as he really wants to date another guy.

I'll just keep it short & to the point:

This has gotta be the best historical c-drama I've seen.

Why?
Because unlike majority of c-dramas, or any drama, really, Eternal Love - Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms didn't have the boring/super annoying part! Which usually lasts for more than 10 eps!
Every freaking historical/fantasy drama (especially if it's adapted from novel) has either a ruined middle or ending or even both. Case in point, Journey of Flower (totally ruined the ending), General and I (managed to ruin both middle and ending) and those are only the first ones (or rather, the most recent ones) that come to mind, there's a whole other bunch just the same!

Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms? Nope, didn't have it! I loved every single bit of it! Even the heartbreaking bits!

It:
1. Didn't have endless stupid misunderstandings.
2. Male lead YeHua knew right away when the evil bitch consort aka SuckJin was scheming and his looks said it all, like - keep lying bitch I knew it ain't truth.
Hands down YeHua is the best male lead ever, not falling for the annoying/evil consorts schemes and seeing right trough them!
3.And the female lead BaiQian is all for revenge on said SuckJin. Our high goddess ain't gonna let some puny deity make her suffer and even when she had to suffer some, she won't just let it rest or be all merciful, revenge it is! Kick her ass! Take back those eyes! No more sweet, kind fucking merciful & forgiving aka weak female leads, oh no, no one's gonna step on this girl!

All in all, loved every bit of it & it kept having you excited for what's gonna happen next. This happened and then you kept waiting to see when that happened and so on. It really had me interested trough out all 58 episodes! Not once did I stray to another drama, once Eternal Love got me it had me till the last minute.

As for acting, whoever cast them struck gold, both with main leads & supporting cast.
Especially liked: Chao Mark as Ye Hua, his every expression was so heartfelt; Dilmurat Dilraba as the little fox princess & Gao Vengo as Dong Hua.

Story was also fascinating. I'm so buying & reading the novel & gotta find those pillow books too!

Music rather awesome actually, gotta get my hands on that ost.

Re-watch value? I'm already re-watching it and saving to my computer, gotta have this on hand whenever I'll feel like re-watching it, which's gonna be often.

Overall a rare 10-10 rating from me. Whatever little faults it might have, the overall greatness of not having the annoying middle or ruined ending more than compensates for what might not be as great. In fact, it's so good that I can't even think of anything that is not good.
Eternal Love - Ten Miles of Peach Blossom is a rare gem of a drama.
