Ends with a good life-lesson!

It wasn't a puppy-love teen movie with a happy-ending. It was very realistic and ends with a good life lesson. Something you may expect in web dramas. I liked the concept. And it wasn't cringeworthy.
The cinematography wasn't that great and the acting is just so so. Not so bad but not that great either. But those who watches web series regularly won't bother.
I'm really glad that I watched something like this because of my love for Liu Yuning and Modern brothers. Teen dramas these days are filled with puppy and unrealistic love-stories that you may never encounter in real life. But this one tells you, life is not a fairy-tale. And it has it's adult element in lighter tone.
Overall, it's worth watching.

Why Did I Watch this ....

This movie can be considered impossible to watch, First of all, the editing is GOD AWFUL who edited this ? It is a hot mess and it just switches from scene to scene so sloppy. The acting is over the top and ridiculous at times.

I am really not understanding how this got such high ratings, and yet it was so bad, the acting was really bad, there was no flow to the story, it skipped to like 5 years later, in a matter of a second!!!

The series also didn't explore much about xiao Chen wife and kid... it was like there were just thrown into the picture cuz mommy wish was for one her sons to be married, the fact that the mother didn't even try to understand her sons is really so sad, and to ask for something like that on your death bed and leave your children guilt ridden, that just pissed me off, the other son, didn't seem to have any issues living his life with his man.

WHAT A WASTE OF A MOVIE!!!!

Disappointed !

I watched it mainly for JangHyuk + got fooled by the high rating! and a friend's recommendation..

I'll be honest with you all, it contains too much violence with an empty plot !!

Even after I finished it.. I still didn't get the reason behind all what happened, it was a slow paced and felt like 2 hours waste of time.. kinda boring and confusing along the way .. with no actual stroy!

+ I don't enjoy seeing movies with such violent scenes especially when it includes Minors..
the ML was impressively a Pro Assassin but thinking about it's not realistic + we didn't get to know anything about his story why is he the way he is? where did he train?

this movie was a waste of JangHyuk's acting skills

the only conveyed message was that we live in a trashy world!

Story had a good blueprint, but could have been tighter.

First and foremost, that description is misleading.

The idea was sound. It was a classic case of changing circumstances resulting in shifting feelings and emotional infidelity. I felt bad for Tar, who said from the very beginning to just let him know if anything ever changes in their relationship. It was a shame to see how their situation made him snap at the end. But it can be explained away by his desperation.

What can't be explained is how very little is actually communicated. Like, it seems like Wan never actually acted on his attraction to Ohm. The only thing he ever confessed to is having fallen for him and nothing is ever shown on the screen. So why wasn't that ever brought up? Also, Ohm is fully aware that the situation with the watch was a misunderstanding. Why didn't he try to defend himself and explain? And Wan told Ohm that he was having trouble with Tar because they didn't get to see each other much anymore. But yet, when talking to Tar himself, he said it was because they spent too much time together. Which one was it/ And why did Ohm's personality seem to change halfway through the film? So it left me very confused in places.

Everyone here is in the wrong. But as Wan himself stated, Wan was the most guilty one. Ohm blatantly pursued and flirted with Wan fully knowing that Wan was taken. But Wan let himself be swayed. Which makes it even worse when Tar had actually tried to open up communication on the matter multiple times, in a civil manner. At any point, Wan could have sat and reflected about what he was feeling. But he just went along with it, all the way until it blew up in his face. And then he still didn't communicate effectively. Meanwhile, Tar escalated the situation in his desperation, putting Wan on the spot on the radio twice and orchestrating a misunderstanding (which, I might add, put him in just as much hot water as it did Ohm).

There was an interesting proposition and set up to make them a throuple. And yes, they could have worked well together in theory. But that was before all of the mess they all caused. If they had gotten into the proposed relationship at that stage, it would have been very toxic moving forwards. So I must give props to Wan for analyzing that situation and not giving it a shot. I also appreciate that the writers didn't try to use it as some sort of easy solution for their conflict. None of them deserved to be with each other. And as such, the ending felt right for this story, even if it is labelled as a sad ending.

I watched this production to see some of early work of the many familiar faces in the cast and crew. As such, I wouldn't consider this a waste of time. But the story could have been tighter in terms of characters and clarity for viewers. I would have also appreciated seeing some references to relationship troubles having been building up even before the job change (or more references to the passage of time), so that it didn't feel as sudden.

Everyone has already heard of this movie (at least in Dramaland) and how it is a must-see. Well, usually I would tell you that most must-see labelled movies are just mainstreamed. But Secret definitely deserves this “must-see” sticker and not just because everyone seems to know about it.

I can already hear some of you thinking "A sad movie about students falling in love, well that's a first...". Don't be fooled by the movie's summary, even if at first Secret looks like your average romance, it's not. Obviously it's a romantic movie starring students so you won't escape the mushiness BUT (thankfully) the way the story was handled is far more interesting and makes the movie stand out. At the end of the movie you finally get some things that you thought were iffy and most of your questions are answered, leaving just a few things unsettled. Not that the lack of answers is a bad thing, on the contrary it makes room for your imagination (and also yes a little bit of brain) without detriment to the plot. The flaws, if there are any, are pretty much trivial. And let's be honest this movie is an eye-candy.

The acting is good but the cast is not paramount. You could alter it and still enjoy the movie. The same however could not be said of the soundtrack. Music is the essence of this movie. The right song is played at the right time, music and pictures just fit each other perfectly.

Overall Secret is a movie that is eye- and ear-candy and it allows your brain to work a little so yes you should definitely watch it, especially a day you don't have anything to do so you can enjoy it fully.

As much as I love and have seen many Hollywood zombie movies, this one by far is my favorite one.

The storyline is great, the whole movie is not draggy at all and focuses on different characters. Speaking of characters, I fell in love with the cast and they became my "dream time" of some sort, if I were to be in a zombie apocalypse. There is nothing much to say really, other than that you HAVE to watch it! It will put all of those American zombie movies to shame. Just don't forget your napkins and some popcorn, because were going to Busan! (cheesy, I know ) :D

This movie was quite enjoyable and definitely is a must watch for all The Untamed fans. Paul Yu (Wen Ning / Ghost General) acting is really surprising. I have never seen anyone that is still considered a new comer in the acting industry be able to pull off such fierce expressions and overall be able to throw out emotions that seamlessly. Zheng Fan Xing (Lan Si Zhui / Lan Yuan) got the chance to have a big role in this movie and he was also able to act quite well in it. I wish their company would do more promotion for these new actors, they have proven themselves very well already, I'm waiting on their new pieces.

Omg I really loved this movie! Not only was it super funny but the story was really good and it never got boring. Vic Zhou was amazing in this! I’ve never seen him act this good in anything I’ve seen him in. It was nice to see him smile a lot for a change. I really like how his character developed from pretty much a douchebag to this guy who completely falls hard for his opposite. Although I didn’t really care for the female actress I was surprised by how much chemistry she had with Vic. They made a very believable couple. Loved the ending so cute. I’ll be watching this over and over again=)

If you look at all the separate scenes, if you describe the plot, if you look at most of the acting alone: this is a great movie. What’s the issue then? It was glued together with an old chewing gum - it just does not stick together. All scenes felt disjointed, nothing transitioned smoothly and it ended up as a confusing mess.

Honestly, what was wrong with these weird transitions between scenes? They showed a really well acted, emotional scene - a dialogue of a mother describing her pain of losing her child who went missing. But in the middle of it, they just cut to flashback of her looking for the child on the day she disappeared - all the emotional impact gone with this weird cut. And then they came back to the mother now describing what was shown… So why even show it? Usually I’m more of a show don’t tell, but here the tell was important, because the emotions the mother was feeling were the focus.

It would be a decent thriller if they did a better job in the post production and completely removed the laughable supernatural elements. It’s not like the plot could not happen without that aspect and it didn't even take that much screen time anyway. It was just another not well executed idea the writer and director had…

The detective was amazingly hot, so that’s a plus I guess.

I rly liked this movie. It was special in its lightheartedness. I rly thought that compared to other movies/drama's that Ella is in that this 1 made her look very famine even though she is a bad@$$ defender of all women being bullied. She showed a special side to her in this drama. Of course I loved Mike He (I would watch him in anything). I don't know what it is but they had a chemistry together in this that was different.

I thought that the anime-esk parts to the movie were actually appropriate. They kept the movie from getting too serious, but it still had those serious moments that made my heart melt. This movie is cute & fun to watch. I rly would have loved for it to be a drama b/c I think I would have fallen in love more w/ the characters.

I think that if u watch it then u will enjoy it for more than just the eye-candy.

One of the best portrayal of modern bullying

This movie is heartfelt and a bit disturbing in its nature. It expressed another side or form of bullying nowadays wherein you don't really have to hurt someone physically to harm them.

To be honest the storyline is too cliché for a movie showing bullying but what I really anticipated the most is how will the main characters fought it back. Will they be using vengeance towards the perpetrator or will they resolve things on a peaceful manner? It's for you to find out. (Not a spoiler but the ending is pretty decent.) There were some parts of the movies that really doesn't makes sense for me and felt unnecessary specially the background of this transfer student who is one of the main leads on this movie.

The casts are completely new to me as I am not that into Taiwanese/Chinese movies and drama but I must say they have played their roles real good and they really set the vibes and atmosphere of high school students with their puberty attitude.

Overall, this is a good movie to spend time on. It wasn't the best of it's kind but it was really worth my time. I actually kinda wanted to remind myself about this movie from time to time.

I thought this movie was BRILLIANT!!! I wasn't expecting to be so enthralled by it when I started it - but within the first few minutes I was already glued to the screen lol - I guess it's a "predictable" story-line but that didn't bother me at all and I enjoyed it immensely!

I had so much fun watching this trio pull trick after trick - they were amazing! Kim Woo Bin was as sexy as ever in this movie <3 *I love it when guys have their hair silky smooth ^^ The acting by everyone in this was outstanding! I didn't see a single flaw. When you watch movies like these where it's about the so called "bad" people and you find yourself rooting for them - it tends to make you question your morals lol but I couldn't help but not root for them - especially since there was a pretty decent reason behind *part* of it lol

Music was good - Mainly remember the background music instrumentals and this song: "I'll Give You My Life" by Yoo Seung Woo (I've heard this song before - so I remembered it more clearly). The other song: "Can't Stop Me" was good but not as memorable lol :P Anyways the music fit the movie ^^

I would definitely re-watch this as I had a lot of fun watching it this time - I know I'll enjoy it again! I'd even try to get someone to watch it with me sometime :P

Colour me surprised! The movie was lovely.

I avoided Strobe Edge, the manga and the movie like a plague because the premise sounded like something I would want nothing to do with. But the cinematography of the movie seemed sweet (which was really really great) and my best friend wanted to give it a shot so, we watched it.

I’m really glad that we did. The premise wasn’t misleading, the story really was about tangled relationships of a group of high schoolers but the execution was nothing like I feared. The characters communicated. It was so refreshing. They were all acting like adults and communicating their problems and there weren’t a single character I disliked. I could symphatize with them and always understand the reasoning behind their actions. I really liked our heroine and her positivity. It didn’t feel fake, she felt like someone I would love to be friends with in real life. Same goes for the lovable hero, who is like a unicorn.

Also this movie was one of the rare instances where I could feel the attraction between the leads. Their romance was believable and it made me giddy. I found myself rooting for them not because they were the hero and heroine of the story, but because I really wanted them together. Most of the time we have to take the heroine’s word for her feelings towards the hero. But in this movie, I could see and feel it. I loved it so much.

The dialog in the movie was really well written. I don’t know if it was the director’s skills but the scenes were natural and felt real. It’s not only thanks to the dialog though. There were some artistic choices that helped with this sense of realism. The movie was mostly made of diegetic sounds, which are sounds that are only present in the scene itself and not an outside song playing in the background. I’m not a film buff, so the only other example I can think of is the movie Before Sunrise and its sequels. It made everything feel more grounded and real.

I feel like, the director really cared for the movie. I don’t know much about him (definitely going to check out his other works) but he could easily went the way of filming it like any other shoujo manga adaptation. I’m not saying this because I don’t respect the works of other shoujo adaptation movie directors, because I do. But I felt like, he put just an extra effort and it showed. I don’t know.

I really liked this movie, and definitely going to rewatch it in the future and if you are having second thoughts because of the premise, I suggest you to still give it a shot.

Everyone's love story

By the end of the movie, I was with a heavy heart. This was a story beautifully written, acted, and directed. It detailed the phases of a relationship that a couple goes through. A few fortunate couples make it to the end of the road, but majority of them like Mugi and Kinu do not. There are many reasons why couples break up. At the end of the day, a person chooses his or her own path that leads him/her to happiness. Mugi and Kinu's love was not any less than those couples that did make it through. They ultimately broke up because they have chosen to live a life they thought they deserved.

And it was not easy to forget that kind of love. After all, theirs was so intense, not to mention the 5 years they have spent together.

I find myself relating to both of them. And from time to time, I also think of my ex and the "what could have been'. But that's just a passing thought. After a minute, I'll forget all about it and move on with my life.

Life is like this. Love more so. You have to fight really hard to keep your love.

Kudos to our two main leads for portraying Mugi and Kinu so realistically. I said it before. This was a story beautifully written, acted, and directed. However, I will not watch this a second time.

Friendship is love too

This movie shows beautifully that human emotions are complex and the question "do I love this person" might not be a "yes - no" question at all. This is not a typical love triangle, where two people love the same person and the viewers wonder "who will win?" In here, all three protagonists have some sort of positive feeling for one another, and their quest is to understand those feelings, which is not as easy as might be expected. Is it infatuation? Is it love? Is it just friendship? Why "just" - maybe friendship is actually as big as love - or bigger?
