Of course, this is just a so so jdorama; but I'm not regretting watch it till the final episode. Choco Shitsu, for me, is a step of trial and error to make a better romance jdorama. The skinships, the use of gadget in communication, visual editing approach (everything look more sparkling and beautiful), the modern point of view in it surely be learned/analyzed by other PD, writer, and director to make a much better romance jdorama in the future.
And now, first half of 2015, there are a little boost in number and quality in romance jdorama. I hope this will be continue :)
I hope Aimuse as Juri-chan's agency bring a PD/director/writer to contribute in this, so this drama will got some jdorama taste to make Juri's appearance more enchanting ...
I really like the King/national concept and the drama's bravery to film some sensitive issues, but I think it tackles too many genres and problems. They should prune some unnecessary plots/ moves/story maneuvers or be more consistent in style choice; and we'd got much better drama.
1.title and synopsis are somewhat misleading XD I expect to see Ae Ra as manipulating and evil woman but what I got is a selfless angel <3
2.this drama have SO many wrong ingredients (silly car accident; inconsistent writing quality etc) but somehow can compose it into an 'edible' and sometimes yummy drama moments.
Just look at the cast lists XD
Its just too surreal for today; its like an asadora or taiga that can gather all wonderful actors in one project.
I think this dorama worth watching even if you just want to see Kimutaku, Toda Erika, Juri Ueno, Kaho, Koyuki, Nakajima Yuto, and Sakai Masato all in one weekly renzoku drama
(non asadora/ taiga).
This drama touches a delicate subject: motherhood. The good, the bad, the ugly... and the beautiful part of being…
everything happened in this drama have a reason ;) There's an episode made especially to look back in rena's mother background and how she becomes like that.
We (viewer) in the end cant hate rena's mother 100%. I think every abuse case will have its own reason and situation too. We cant see the problem just from one side.
Ok I'm just at ep.1 and I don't know if I'll be able to watch this...I'm simply traumatized by what I see...
dont let pilot episode puts you off :)
people often get scared this drama will show child abuse in EVERY episode. Of course not!
Ultimately... its all your choice. :) But IMHO after look your dramalist (few jdoramas), you pick this jdorama too fast. :) Maybe after you watch and learn to love some other jdoramas, you'll be able to love this gem.
im happy that more and more people touched by this drama
:)
And, .... little trivia ... Ryota Kosawa (the writer) is far from a rom-com specialist : He is famous for his suspense dramas :D Check his other works (Legal High, Gaiji Keisatsu, Suzuki Sensei, Aibou etc), its VERY different from Date but still amazing.
overall a nice, sweet, and enjoyable drama, but tends to make small mistakes here and there ...
good stress reliever for weekends :) just dont expect anything special, except overloading charms from Ha Neul - noona <3
Orange Days is one of my rewatch routine.
This is first dorama that tells me that jdorama is more than just an ordinary asian drama: It breaths inspiration and meaning, but still very entertaining.

we need more J - K collab ...
