I think people must see this series from bigger picture and not just judging from the crime/investigation genre point of view. Most of good japanese crime/investigation series (such as Gonzo, Strawberry Night, Lady Joker) intentionally mix different genre(s) into themself; and I think BORDER must viewed like that, too.
IMHO we will surely fail to appreciate full beauty of BORDER if we just look into its crime/investigation side.
well ... this is really good dorama with somewhat brutal ending (denotative and conotative meaning)
for me its like 9.0 - 9.5 potential but reduced to an 8 by the ending
Dropped just because of the despicable obsessive and selfish triangle in the form of Washio san, give it up already...…
IMHO, that washio - stuff is just a piece of fragment in this dorama :)
what Date want to picture and show to us is much more than that. Its like people who drop Mother because of child abuse, or drop JIN because of explicit operation scene, or drop Suzuki Sensei because of sex stuff talk. That scenes is just a small part of the big picture, dont let it affect you so much ...
But all in all, I respect your own decision and point of view. :)
-MISIA - Aitakute Ima (JIN 1 OST)
-Mr Children - SIGN (Orange Days OST)
-Taeyeon - Missing You Like Crazy (King2Hearts OST)
-Ikimono Gakari - Arigatou (Gegege no Nyobo OST)
-Mr Children - Hanabi (Code Blue 1 - 2 OST)
-Superfly - Kagayaku Tsuki no You ni (Summer Rescue OST; average drama - superb OST)
-Sweet Sorrow - No Matter How I Think About It (Alone In love OST)
especially MISIA - Aitakute Ima, arguably the best OST song ever graced jdorama world, it's very beautiful, and the ambience, lyrics, feeling ... everything support the drama very well.
and these tracks maybe not in my daily playlist (because of too cute, or too sad, too hot, or not an original asian song), but worth mentioning due to its great involvements in drama.
-hinaco. - Nakigao Smile (Mother)
-Ashida Mana/Suzuki Fuku - Maru2 Mori2 (Marumo no Okite)
-Queen - I was born to love you (PRIDE)
-Ninkyo Helper opening OST's All My Soul : probably the most firing up opening OST in history
-Earth, Wind, and Fire - Fantasy (Love Shuffle)
-Kyoko Koizumi - Shiosai no Memories (insert song Amachan)
and lastly, there are some good instrumental OST for opening/ending worth mentioning here
:)
-OST amachan
-OST Good Luck!
aw...i don't like remakes...especially when the original is so good
actually; alone in love is also an adaptation of Hisashi Nozawa's novel renai jidai
;)
but i agree, alone in love is not your typical kdrama. It's more jdorama-ish and wonderful.
It was the first time for me to watch a morning Jdrama (Asadora) and it was an amazing and unforgettable experience.…
glad you love this asadora :)
try Gegege no Nyobo (my personal best asadora) and Amachan (fun asadora) if you have some time, you'll love it. And try Yasashii Jikan for more Hokkaido scenery :D
i already watch:
-kokopoki = half decent start; but I will continue watching it; coz I believe on Okada-sensei and the veteran casts :)
-dr rintaro = decent start; will continue to watch because of its stellar casts and I think it got potential
-yokoso wagaya e = surprisingly good and interesting, will continue to watch coz im curious and intrigued
-mare = non post war and cheerful asadora, definitely watching :) (dont get me wrong, I still love war-time asadora ;) )
beside those; I plan to take a peek to tenno ryori (of course), snow mahoro, and yume o ataeru, too ...
This season is quite a season, there are some BIG projects beside asadora and taiga, like dr rintaro and tenno no ryoriban. Those two drama gather a full squad of good actors and crew, and I will very disappointed if they cant bring something special.
PS: kimura's home and remake algernon? well, I'll try if I have some spare time :p
cute yet natural commanding voice.....hope this talent wont be wasted in the future like what happen with erina,…
maybe bro lontongstrooong and realdeal have to say that in front of the board of japan's film/dramamaker. :(
I personally hope her management can give her more good project. Or small but surprisingly good one like Ginnikan ...
And of course I hope she can reach her potential.
so random but touching :')
IMHO we will surely fail to appreciate full beauty of BORDER if we just look into its crime/investigation side.
its really hard to introduce these gems to people :(
glad aoi-san back to dorama, hope haru can handle the pressure and not lose the spotlight
for me its like 9.0 - 9.5 potential but reduced to an 8 by the ending

actually there are more romances in this season :) and its good
more mystery dorama... ? jdorama cant produce more; its seems every season fill with just mystery/detective dorama (and mostly mediocre ones)
*sigh

:)
from the trailer I can smell JIN - ish epic aura :D
I hope this will good *pray
