Daebak. This drama was, in one word, amazing. Everything was perfect, from the storyline to the music to the cast to the romance. I don't think I've ever watched a drama that was so cute and fluffy and just filled with pure love like this one. The fact that there weren't any characters you just wanted to rip into pieces, no ridiculous plot elements, and no meddling parents is what really made this drama different. Everything was just so perfect.

To start off, Joon Hyung was the most kind, caring, and sweet boyfriend I have ever seen in a drama. He cared about Bok Joo so much and wasn't a jerk like other kdrama male leads. And Bok Joo was adorable, even though she played a weightlifter and wore some pretty nerdy clothes at times, you can still see how pretty and true to life she really is. Their chemistry together is one of the best that I've seen; no moment they were together was dull. There were so supportive of each other and they depicted a love that was very realistic and pure without any cliches like other dramas.

And there were also so many supportive characters and I loved every single one of them. Bok Joo's friends were always so supportive of her, and it really made me realize how important it is to have such amazing friends like them, and at times made me envious of Bok Joo for having such great ones. Not to mention, Joon Hyung's friend was hilarious and I loved watching his interactions with Bok Joo's friends.

I have to admit, at first, when I heard that this drama revolved around weightlifting, I had my doubts about watching this drama because personally, I don't like that style because most dramas I watched with sports themes don't turn out very well (but I decided to give it a shot bc Nam Joo Hyuk). But gosh did this drama prove me wrong. The sports theme added elements of hope and ambition that wouldn't be there otherwise. This drama just proves that not every drama has to have a complicated storyline or evil characters that get in the way, because this one had none of that and was still so amazing, and the high rating is really justified by it. I definitely hope that more dramas have pure romances and happy stories like this one!

This is a light-hearted drama not meant to be taken seriously. Seeing as I have forgotten the plot of INR1 because I kinda just skipped through it, I'm just basing this review off of this drama, and this drama alone. I'm not comparing it to the first season. INR2 is an entirely separate from INR1 in this review.

Story: So the story is good in the beginning. It keeps you wondering and guessing, what is Seok Hyun's secret, who is she going to end up with. I thought the story wasn't predictable. Even in the end, I was still confused as to whom she loved more. But the bad part about this story is the logic. It doesn't really make sense when you think about it. The second to last episode, I was so confused as to what just happened. So I came to the conclusion that you have to watch this drama without thinking about the logic. That may be a turn-off for some people, but sometimes a no-brainer drama is what you need. But when I thought about the girls in this drama, I concluded that my gender is confusing and I did get an insight as to how men feel. However I kinda wished that Jae Kyung's story got some more light. I really liked her story line and I feel it could be a drama on its own. But other wise the story line is light-hearted and not meant for serious thoughts.

Acting: I thought the acting was good. It was believe most of the time, except when the girls were too emotional and dramatic. The lead male took the spotlight in acting. Honestly the only parts where I actually teared up a bit was during his parts. He managed to show the complex emotions of his character quite well.

Music: I loved the music. Seeing as how the main character is a music producer, it makes sense that the music is good as well.

Rewatch: I really don't want to sit through this drama again because usually the second time I watch a drama I end up thinking a lot more, and I know that I will end up getting a headache if I watch it again.

Overall: It gets an eight for keeping me entertained every week and for not being all that predictable. Plus there are some fine men in this drama. Fine men, who do go shirtless. Talk about something to look at :P Again if you watched INR1 you might think differently, but I am not going to consider INR1 at all. It was cute, sweet, and fluffy. I'm not a huge fan of melos or too much drama so this was a good drama for me to watch.

This was a really entertaining story that deals with these three friends and how they decide to tackle life now that they are in the "prime" of their life. One takes the "realistic" route and decides to go to college, the other takes the route of "dreams" to pursue his passion of being a comic artist, and the third is stuck in the past, forever wanting to be the wonton woman-wooer.

The movie actually touches on a lot of internal struggles that young people face when they reach this age of "adulthood", especially for young men. And while it follows some tropes and themes of a typical Korean drama, super intense scenes do not drag out and are actually amazingly well balanced with humour that you don't often expect.

If you're a fan of ????, then you will most likely enjoy this film as well.

Also: there's a fair amount of sexual references, penis-jokes and other random sexual humour that I didn't actually expect, but was well done and was really quite entertaining.

Looking at the comments, I seem to have an unpopular opinion of this film lol. Surprisingly, I honestly really enjoyed it. I first watched this film about 3 years ago but I only got to the second song before I was thinking 'what kind of a weird ass film is this??' lol. Of course, I didn't finish it. However, for some reason, I decided to give it another shot and I am sooooo glad I did.

Before I really get into my review, in my opinion, this film's MDL description doesn't do it justice. The description actually seems to be closer to the plot of the original manga that the film it is based on, rather than the film itself. The film does have the basic outline of the manga's plot, BUT this film is a Takashi Miike film, so you shouldn't expect this story to be told in a relatively normal or straightforward way. It also should be noted, since it's not tagged on here, that this film is a musical and also a comedy. With plenty of delinquent school boy (and girl) fights.

When watching this film, I think it's important to remember the title, which in English is referred to as 'For Love's Sake' and in Japanese is called 'Ai to Makoto', which translates to 'love and sincerity' (which is not so coincidentally the names of the two main characters). Throughout this film, love is depicted in its various forms through each character - unrequited love, new love, lost love, naive love, lack of love, love, love, love, love, etc. When you think about love, one of the most popular forms of expressing it is typically in song, right? I mean, aren't most songs on the radio specifically about love? I could be reaching here, but for that reason, I believe that that is why the singing/dancing wasn't some pointless or distracting thing. Having each character express their feelings and thoughts on love through song, was actually pretty fitting. Yes, some of the songs and dances were weird but I honestly felt that that was all apart of the satire. Personally, I thought each song was hysterical, more so, than annoying.

Even when you take out the singing, this is still a pretty solid film. The overall plot was entertaining and despite it being relatively outlandish at times, it does get pretty touching towards the end. I felt that there were quite a bit of interesting and diverse characters - each character having pretty much their own background and purpose in the film. It's my belief that Ai (who, ironically, most seem to find annoying) represents that kind of naive, ideal and cheesy love that is usually depicted in shojou manga, anime, films and dramas. Makoto, on the other hand, he's violent and filled with anger and pain (mainly because of his past) and doesn't seem to have a real interest in love, but despite that, there is still a sincerity.

I believe the actors did a great job in this film. Tsumabuki Satoshi was a pleasure to watch and did a beautiful job at portraying Makoto's complex feelings. Takei Emi also did a good job as I thought she brought a perfect amount of clichéd cuteness to her character. The supporting cast as a whole were very good as well. Since it is a musical, I guess it's pretty obvious that I should talk about the music too, huh? Lol. Well, for me, the songs throughout the film were representative of each character and I felt that they did their job giving the viewer a taste of that character's personality and mindset. Some of the songs were corny and some were pretty over-the-top but they fit their character so I didn't have a problem with it. Honestly, I'd bump the soundtrack to this film if I had it (just another musical soundtrack to add to my playlist - move over West Side Story!). This film also deserves kudos for having great cinematography and set design. Each shot was beautiful and well thought out.

To summarise, I thought this film was funny and entertaining. I think there's definitely more to this film than what first meets the eyes. But hey, I've been told I have weird tastes and I do tend to overthink. But, I mean, if you like some cheesy songs and dance numbers, can suspend your disbelief for 2 hours, and just wanna laugh, then this film might be for you. It's definitely a guilty pleasure lol.

To Be With You is a fun, light drama to watch if you can handle some ridiculous or cliche scenarios and some stiff acting. I really liked the futuristic, virtual reality game aspect of the show and thought it was very well-paced with an interesting plot that kept me guessing.

The show is focused around a virtual reality game called Alpha Territory. Initially, we follow Chang Yu Qi as she enters the Alpha company and tries to become what is essentially a professional video gamer, and the development of her romance with her love interest Feng Zhou. But later the show focuses more on some corporate conspiracies that Yu Qi and Feng Zhou discover.

I really liked the corporate conspiracy plot in the show. I thought overall the show was very well-structured. It never got very boring and the drama never got extended or dragged on for too long. The conspiracy kept me guessing with a lot of characters who had questionable motives, and I found myself second-guessing whose side the characters were on, which is a good sign in and interesting plot.

The protagonist Yu Qi is one of my favorite characters. She's optimistic, strong-minded, and very true to herself. Unlike in many dramas, she doesn't act irrationally, and instead is always true to herself. I like that she is very much an equal and partner to her love interest and is able to stand up for herself. She is a very strong heroine and very easy to like. The actress who plays her, Bai Xue, has one of the best acting performances on the show and was very genuine.

Most of the other acting felt very stiff and unconvincing. I found Feng Zhou, the love interest, to be a rather boring character and the actor Ray Chang gave a pretty stiff performance. Angela, who starts out as a seemingly nice famous character but is soon revealed to have a mean streak, also has a very stiff performance and is hard to sympathize with even though the show does try to give her a redeeming backstory.

There are some ridiculous (think Meteor Garden) and cliche scenarios and characters, but overall I found To Be With You worth the watch if you are able to get past those parts of the show.

Note: This review is for the Thai version of the show.

STORY:
- I found the main story between Oat and Pop to be rather dull. It had a slow start. I thought it would start to pick up at the halfway point, when the faintest hint of romantic sparks blossomed between them, but was quickly disappointed as the story continued to bore me. I think the major downfall (for me) was that their story was more character-driven, so I felt like we were mostly meandering aimlessly along with the two boys until the finale. Not a lot happened, yet they took up 20 episodes, so the story seemed very slow and static. It felt very slice of life, which I'm not a huge fan of. Unfortunately, I didn't get super into until the last few episodes, which was when all the drama happened.
- Pree and Rambo's story, and the other hand, was the motivation I needed to finish this series to the end, tragic though it was. It was dynamic, compelling, full of drama and angst. They gave me all the feels (both good and bad), and I grew impatient waiting for their next scenes. Their story actually had a plot line, with more dynamic obstacles, and I wish they could have had their own series to really flesh out what was given.

ACTING/CAST:
- Overall pretty good. Some of the minor characters were annoying, but I thought that the main characters did a good job.
- Again, Pree and Rambo were my favorites. The MewArt hype is well-deserved. Their chemistry was amazing right from the get-go, and they delivered the most scorching scenes in the drama (if you're looking for sexy, more mature romance scenes, they'll deliver). They made me fall in love and broke my heart. I also liked that, aside from Rambo's conflict with his father, both characters were unabashedly, unconditionally gay. Not gay for you, not confused about their sexuality, not ashamed of their sexuality: just gay. There's another character who fit this mold as well, which I also enjoyed. We don't always get this in BL dramas, so when it does show up, it's a refreshing treat that I take notice of. My only complaint is that we didn't get nearly as much screen time with them as I was hoping for, but I am happy with what I got even though it wasn't entirely filled with happy times.
- O and Strong performed well in their roles too. Of the two, I preferred Strong's character, Oat, who I found to be deeper and more complex. On the surface, he seemed like a happy-go-lucky goofball who didn't take anything too seriously, but we also saw some sweet, tender moments that tugged at the heartstrings as well. He has charm and charisma that made me root for him. Pop, though, I don't know what it was, but I just couldn't get on board with him. He was dorky and quirky and did have some cute, sweet moments, but there was just something about him that was off-putting to me and made it more difficult to truly care about him. He just seemed like a bit of a prat. As for their chemistry, for most of the series it felt very one-sided and bromance-y (in part because it was). But the few reciprocal romantic moments between them, as well as Oat's affection towards Pop, were very tender and sweet.

MUSIC:
- Pretty good. I'm not a music buff so I generally don't pay much attention to this. The only thing I'll note is that during some scenes the music was really loud, almost drowning out the actors.

RE-WATCH VALUE:
- The only parts I would re-watch are those revolving around Pree and Rambo (well, the early ones at least).

Disappointing

Considering all the hype surrounding this film, I was expecting to find a top notch romantic comedy about a couple getting a second chance at love. Instead what I got was the most generic and predictable story that was at times funny but mostly plain boring. I had a really hard time connecting with the characters and, worse, understanding why they should get back together at all. Yes, relationships are difficult, love it's not enough, and those involved need to put the work but this was never properly developed through the excruciating two hours film.

The acting is okay, mostly coming from supporting characters because it can't be from the leads. I am baffled as people seems to think Jung So Min and Kang Ha Neul give great performances when I have seen them do 100 times better, in the same genre, than what they delivered in this film. Personally, I don't think they are the problem. The cast was perfectly selected for each role, I would argue this film suffers from its director or scriptwriter. Maybe both.

It makes me sad to say this but Love Reset was not worth it.

Enjoyable.

This was a nice watch for me. Here are my pros and cons:

PROS

STORY. I found it interesting and sometimes compelling, especially all the drama of Tae Hyun's back story. Da Yeol struck me as cold at first, but I appreciated his character development as the series progressed.

BREVITY. Especially now, with so many BLs being produced (including a lot of weak ones), I do appreciate a series that can get the story told without resorting to 12+ looooong episodes. Kudos to the producers.

CONS

DEVELOPMENT. There were some "huh?" moments for me: the "villain" (the guy with long hair who was bullying Da Yeol) confused me. I would have liked more from him, as I was never quite sure why he was as much of a jerk as he was. Maybe he was just a homophobe. Or maybe he himself liked one of them. Who knows? And the character of Tae Hyun's aunt (who blamed him for his sister's death!) could have been explored in deeper detail.

ENDING. The last episode was disappointing for me, but not because of a lack of a kiss (ear peck aside). What was up with "two years later," and what happened during those two years? Then we get a reconnection as a day-long date which was cute, but never developed in any meaningful way. The ending baffled me: was this another two years later? We suddenly -- with no explanation -- see Da Yeol in a military uniform, with Tae Hyun extending flowers to him from a distance. Huh?

At certain points during this series I thought I might be giving a rare 10 as a rating, because I really liked a lot of it and enjoyed the chemistry between the leads. At the end of the day, I'm giving it an 8.5.

My Ambulance widens your perspective towards love. To be completely honest, I wasn’t really expectant when I started watching the show, but surprisingly, after going through the first episode, I found this drama quite interesting.

Why? First, the show is a vision. Each scene was shot in alluring visuals. Also, it pops each important element needed to emphasize in each frame, which was pure genius.

Undeniably, the lead cast were amazing, but clearly, what made the whole show impeccable was the ensemble performance as a whole. The emotions they were showing relays so much towards their audience.

Also, another important element to point out is musical scoring. The songs they used on the show were a tremendous fit. Just as how a single song had different arrangements tailor-made for different scenes were to die for.

On that note, I saw this series a show to definitely watch. I know a lot of people didn’t like or favor how the show ended because the plot ending was quite unexpected in a romantic show, but in my opinion, it is important to give plot lines like this a chance. Also, not liking the show's ending doesn’t clearly mean it’s not a good show at all.

If not friend, why friend shaped?

This film captures the joys and sorrows of parenting when it comes to raising a special needs child. The "child" in this case is in fact a wolf that was saved as a pup. Realizing the best thing for the wolf is not raising him in the city, Li Weiyi temporarily moves to a prairie/protected sanctuary in order to rehabilitate this wolf back into wildlife, something that had not been done before. There are plenty of proud mama moments, such as teaching the wolf how to hunt and seeing just how smart he is. The biggest proud mama moment is, of course, teaching him to return to the wolves. There are a few minor flaws in the form of chaotic editing (although it was mostly chaotic good). It was filmed by an amateur director. Some scenes were probably reenacted. However, it's still very impressive considering the first few months of the story were all cut from home video footage. Also, there are some gorgeous scenic shots. Occasionally, the dialogue sounded fake or scripted. It doesn't follow the usual documentary format, so I'm hesitant to call it one. Anyway, I don't know about you, but I could watch cat and dog videos all day long. This was time well spent. No one asked, but I absolutely cried.

A fairy floss show

This is a fairy floss show. Sweet, no substance and quick to consume. This show is perfect if you are looking for a angst free romantic tv show.
What I liked about it was I just needed a quick k-drama fix without angst. I wanted fairy floss.
What I would have liked to see is the boyfriend step up his game if he didn’t like seeing someone else beside his girl. Maybe another 2 episodes would have given the writers enough space to give the fellas opportunity to make some moves on the girl.
And I really have nothing else to say about the show but apparently MyDramaList is more finicky about word count (or character count) than most lecturers as it won’t let me post without hitting the minimal character count. Unlike my lecturers MDL doesn’t care if this final paragraph has nothing to do with the drama at all.

It's worth the watch

I really like when gay guys ( or BL guys whatever) that can fight, defend themselves and be brave. It shows a good role model and steers youngers away from attaching themselves to stereotypes. I accept and love all LGBTQ+ in real life there is a rainbow of personalities within in our world. So That's my biggest plus when the main story of course is different and is intriguing but it did disappoint a lot. Not so much that it wasn't worth watching but it could have been a lot better. With out being judged I have to say Sky was a bit too emotional for me at times because the script in my opinion did not support it. I think Sun was best actor for sure with Pitch coming on strong in he middle and then lacked enough scripts scenes in the ending episodes. Bank was so-so pretty much thru out. The girls are forgettable . They could have been written out and I would not have missed them. Yes I agree it could have been better but it was enjoyable most of the time.

Unexpectedly Intense

This show was way more involved and intense than I thought it would be! If you're looking for a quick, dramatic, epic show of detective skills that aren't always on the up-and-up or a show that seems to be a little more bad than good, then maybe this show is for you!

Also, if you're a Nakamura Tomoya fan then you should check this show out. It's nice to see him in a light that seems more "on the line" of good and evil than pure good, or pure evil. The "on the line" feeling is what makes this show so intensely interesting and mesmerizing!

I do feel that this show is missing something, I can't put my finger on it but it feels a little lacking in some aspects in a couple of episodes. The dramatics aren't car chases or explosions, but somewhere in the middle of the same type of danger level. It sort of feels like "anticipation" of what's to come is building and building but the "what's to come" doesn't necessarily happen immediately... its the building and building that keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you entranced!

wow...

just finished this and wow. really hope bas and tan get to find love in season 2 because they absolutely deserve the world. anyways this is definitely the best BL i’ve ever watched. i’m a new BL fan and i still have a lot more to watch, but coming from the corny (no offense,) yet still enjoyable GMMTV BLs i have to say this is most definitely a step up. also props for finally a BL not surrounding being located in Bangkok, even though they’re going their next season. would definitely recommend watching again or if you haven’t watched yet, WATCH IT!
