Do you want a super adorable hilarious show with a dark creepy psychopath subplot? Then this one's for you. This drama is thoroughly enjoyable, filled with fall off my chair laughing moments to regretting that I'm watching at night.

From the get go you know the story is going to be lots of fun. It involves Do Bong Soon, a small girl with superhuman strength. There are two sides to this story, which you get to watch build up into the climax of the drama. One side deals with her learning to deal with the strength she has, and of course, her love life involving two very tall, very beautiful dudes. The other side deals with a psychotic kidnapper who takes young girls and locks them into a dungeon. Doesn't make sense right? These two storylines eventually merge into one coherent one. The comedic timing of this show though is amazing. From the dialogue, to the effects, and even the sound effects, every aspect was perfectly done and made me die of laughter. It's definitely a fun show all around, despite the darker side theme.

The acting was absolutely done very well. I've known Park Bo Young from two of her other works, and once again she's proven her strong acting abilities here. Park Hyung Sik has definitely improved very much and despite his status as an idol, he's become a very competent actor as well. Their chemistry was off the charts and made me feel so many things. Aside from the main characters, every actor in this show was phenomenal. You can tell they put 101% of their effort into their acting and it definitely shows. Their commitment to making this the funniest drama is very evident once you watch it.

The music was very memorable. I especially loved Jung Eun Ji and Mamamoo's OSTs, but many others were great as well.

I would definitely rewatch this drama, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a super fun and adorable romance that is definitely binge-worthy. It's not too action packed, but interactions between characters were very much enjoyable. Props to the sound director as well for the perfectly placed sound effects. I loved this drama so so much and it's become a top 10. All in all, definitely worth a watch!

As soon as you start the first episode you'll be swept away by the awesome female lead, swoon worthy male lead, and the hilarious situations that ensues with the characters around them. But I always say that you cannot rate a drama only on its beginning. Though Strong Woman Do Bong Soon never started out as a perfect drama, it starts to struggle towards the end of the race.

SWDBS follows Do Bong Soon, who has a supernatural ability that gives her incredible strength and it runs in the females in her family. Combine this with Park Hyung Shik as the leading male with hilarious side characters and it seems like it will be a match made in heaven. But this drama from the beginning has always suffered from tonal problems because of its other plotline that has to do with kidnapping. With one half of the show so cute and funny, it does not blend with the other half of the show that happens to be very serious. The writer had a hard time blending comedy and thriller together and the drama starts to suffer in the end because of it. Even with these problems I still believe that you will have a great time watching this drama, especially the first half but you might become frustrated towards the latter half.

It also suffers from pacing problems and at times it will linger on scenes that do not move the plot forward. And also, the kidnapping plotline itself is just not strong. There is nothing really exciting about it because everything is really obvious. The best thing about the plot itself is the romance between the two leads because everything else is not as strong.

The cast is hands down the best thing about this drama. I came in knowing that Park Bo Young will be great. She is a really good actress and I've always felt that she has been able to add a lot of depth to the characters that she is given. Park Hyung Shik was a surprise for me. I've never watched him in a drama before but after this I know I'll be watching all of his past dramas and future ones too. As we know, a lot of idols are cast in leading roles because of their popularity and looks but Park Hyung Shik is not just a handsome idol (and he is handsome!) but a really good actor and he showcases that in this drama. He had a lot of strong scenes that surprised me and I’m already looking forward to seeing him in something new. His character Min Hyuk will make your heart swoon. If you watch this and don't like the plot, I will guarantee that you'll love his character. The way he looks at Do Bong Soon will make your heart melt.

Ji Soo will be a bit of surprise for many if you seen his past work before. Ji Soo is usually the guy to give you second male lead syndrome but he definitely is not able to do that here. Unlike others, I did not have that much of a problem with the character itself. The rest of the cast is good too. They are hilarious and it’s a joy to watch them.

I will give fair warning to people. If you get offended by some jokes then this will not be the drama for you. There is a lot of gay jokes and people weren't particularly happy with the domestic abuse either (and with good reason.) So, if you are bothered by gay jokes, I wouldn't suggest watching this because they never really let up on it either. It's not just one joke but multiple ones.

Overall, I must say for myself personally I really liked this drama and though I think it started to drag towards the end, I still really enjoyed it. It's a drama that you'll have a lot of fun with. I think if you pay attention to the leads and the hilarious moments then you'll really enjoy this drama. My best recommendation is to not pay much attention to the kidnapping plot line. I really feel like it holds the drama back from being really good. Despite the story not being strong, I think a lot of people will still enjoy this drama. I think this is one of those dramas, that you have to watch without paying too much attention to the plot and just enjoy it. Because once you start to pay attention to it, it will fall apart.

That being said, if you like a swoon worthy male lead and a badass female lead who kicks ass then you'll love this drama. If you like your story strong, tight, and with good pacing then this might not be the drama for you.

I Remember You is definitely the best Korean drama I have watched.

-Story - The story was riveting. It sucks you in from beginning to end with the main plot and then there is nice little side plots.

The show is heavily based on both morals and the perception of good and bad.

Despite being noted as a romantic thriller, I would say it's a thriller with some romance permeating through. There is no love triangle (although there is few crushes about in my opinion). The romance is slow and is not overbearing so if you were thinking that you don't want to watch a love story with some crime thrown in - this show is perfect.

The ending is well, a little open-ended which allows you I suppose to draw your own conclusions.

-Acting/Cast - I loved the cast choice in this show. I didn't realise this until I finished watching the show however. It was some of the best acting I've seen in East Asian television.

Park Bo-gum and Seo In-guk had great chemistry.

I'm not even going to lie, I struggled to dislike teen Lee Joon-young because he was too handsome, it was distracting. Do Kyung-soo played the part brilliantly.

I liked that Jang Na-ra's character Cha Ji-an was full of heart but she could be a bit of frustrating character. She does come across as a little annoying and reckless at times. I think the writing of her character was little hit and miss because I felt as if she could have been written to be a better detective - she seemed a bit clueless at times to be part of a special investigation team.

-Music - The music was great and I have listened to Remember by Dream Cloud on Youtube on numerous occasions.

-Rewatch - This is has a lot of rewatch value despite myself not every really rewatching a series. This is because there are so many bits towards the end that you do not expect that come together.

-Overall - One of the best East Asian shows I have watched.

I know this is a melodrama to heavy drama series but I have to say I laughed more than I cried watching this drama. Grim Reaper having no name and business card were my favorites, I enjoyed the scenes of Grim Reaper - Kim Shin, -Yoo Deok-hwa and Ji Eun-tak fun moments inside their house. At first i was not sure how to feel about the main leads, but their acting made me fall in love with their characters. They were able to show how love can lighten up even the hardest situations in life. I also like how bold they are in showing their feelings to each other. I love that how they feel is being seen from their faces in their acting. I love Gon Yoo's acting esp when he is fluttered :) And who would not love to watch 3 good-looking male leads and a cute leading lady.

I have always admired kdramas but have stopped watching new kdrama for a long time. DOTS awaken the interest in me to see new Kdramas again. I find it hard watching a new kdrama esp if I have not seen the actors before, I gave DOTS a try because of Song Hye Kyo, but it was bec of Song Joong Ki that made me love this drama so bad, well their chemistry has a lot to do with it as well. This is a well thought drama, the scenes, lines, characters all make sense. I got hooked after watching the first 10 minutes of the 1st episode and I cant get enough of the ending scene. People in their late 20s or early 30s would appreciate this kind of love story more. It takes a lot of focus, talent, discipline, maturity ,courage and true love, to enter and maintain a Doctor-Soldier Relationship. The main leads were honest, vocal and open to each other, it feels good to see these character being shown in a drama played by beautiful actors. Just awesome! I watched this 3 times and I can watch it again still :))

This is a difficult review to write. Here is why:
1.The show was clearly meant to be longer, but for reasons unknown, it was cut to 30 minutes. As a result, the editing isn't good and somethings do not make a lot of sense.

2.The actors clearly did their best but I think they need more experience. It didn't have that kind of effortless flow seen in other dramas

3.The costumes...were not good, nor were the sets

4.There so many plot holes....and it was very predictable

Overview:

Li Fuling/Ling'er is a young girl who is best friends with a guy, Tianjun. He is receiving education at the star court, along with another guy, Tianyi. There personalities are night and day. Tianjun is kind, honorable and respectable. Tianyi is ruthless and stoops to low means to achieve his ends. He seems like a bad guy. But there is a reason for this: Tianyi inherited the throne of wingkingdom at a young age. Worse, he was told he would never get wings (something needed to ascend the throne). His uncle, the regent, appears to want him dead. On the other hand, Tianjun's mother, the empress of humankind, is very ruthless however this means Tianjun never had to get his hands dirty...

These are the central characters in the show. Everything goes back to Ling'er, who happens to be the incarnation of the shooting stars flower goddess. Legend says that when she is united with her mortal lover (also incarnated) she will release pollen, giving the wingkind the ability to fly but unfortunately she will turn to ash.

As the story progeses, she and Tianyi fall in love. He also happens to be her incarnated lover. But because he wants her to live, he tries to put distance between them. On the other hand, because of a series of events, Tianjun descends into madness and becomes obsessed with forcing Ling'er to be by his side.

This is the story of these people. There are a number of subplots, related to the empress and Ling'er's father, a young man named Yu, and a princess of the sky kingdom.

What I liked:
Excluding memory loss, so many dramatic plot devices are used in this series. And so many people die in this series. It was also a different story. So i gave it a shot.

What I hated:
The show did not have a lot of depth. The characters were pretty 1 dimensional, the villains weren't well developed. This is because of the script, I think. The actors did their best, but need a few years to improve. It is clearly targeting a younger demographic.

What I REALLY hated:
the ending song. It has absolutely no place in this series. I also hated the poor editing.

My overall opinion:
Watch this show for something light. If you don't compare it to other shows and don't expect much it can be a fun watch.

Great drama!

Story - 10/10

I rarely give a drama a rating of 10 but this one deserved it because I enjoyed each and every episode! Really good story, a perfect Melodrama Romance to watch, it had a bit of everything, drama, revenge, romance, family drama etc.
Once you get past the few 2 or 3 episodes it gets a lot better, all the characters have their own story.
I would recommend watching a youtube mv of it as a trailer to decide weather to watch it or not

Acting/Cast - 9/10

Great acting, the leads have great chemistry together. Marcus Chang really suits this type of role, I think Eugenie Liu aka XinYu was the best actress in this drama, she hasn't been in many dramas but her acting is very good and I hope to see both of them in more dramas cast as leads together again!

Music 10/10

This drama had THE best music in a taiwanese drama I have seen so far,
I love the fact this drama is filled with Rock songs, it makes the drama even better in my opinion. One of my favourite OST is ''None of Your Business ????? by the band 831''. I like how it starts slow with the piano and then goes full on rock mode.
This song really suits Zhao Yiting's conflicted character, The lyrics are telling the way he feels, You can just imagine Zhao Yiting telling people to leave him alone as he was fine living in his closed off world while trying to exact his revenge.

Rewatch Value 10/10

I'm planning to rewatch it already lol, it was that good.

Overall 10/10

Definitely recommend this drama.

TBABM is a drama emotionally charged.

Not only because it perfectly handled comic elements with melodramatic ones, but also and mainly because it completely blindside its viewers by drawing up a initial situation and characters that can seem very cliché or lacking of originality, but it's a wrong impression : TBABM is so much more than a cliché drama, it's not simply a love story filled with misunderstanding, passion and portrayed by a love triangle.

*This drama is a poetic life's lesson.

The story itself isn't extraordinary, but the way it's skillfully written make it deeply beautiful and exceptional : hilarious at times, dramatic and heartbreaking and truly heartwarming at other times.

The whole drama is also artfully directed and the cinematography appealing (really the director's work is what made me want to keep watching it at the beginning when I was wondering If I would drop it because it takes me several couple of eps to really get into it ^^').

But the thing that really amazed me, about this drama it's its characters and the way they were interpreted : all the characters were very authentic, and relatable (well some of them not so much cough* haokun cough*) and even the ones that were less likeable, were able to reach me at some points (and that's a REAL success because I don't easily relate to characters). The acting was also really really good for all the cast.

However the characters' realism was also frustrating by moments : they were like us normal people, with they qualities/defaults and sometimes they didn't always made the good choices and it could be REALLY frustrating, and it's also true over the relationships and love lines in this drama : you can expect passion and deep emotions but not magic or "love is kind and unselfish" kind's of mood.

The drama's pace could be a little bit slow though at times, what made some eps a bit draggy and repetitive but it's not something that bothered me, overall.

I've to conclude with a special word for the OST who was stunning, and well-fitted!

This review may contain spoilers
It’s been a solid period of time since I decided to allow this confused mess of a drama sink into my nerves, and seeing how the reviews are scarce in number, I thought I’d give potential viewers a rather large piece of my mind.

If you’re here and considering watching this, I’ll assume that you at least somewhat enjoyed the show to which this is a sequel. Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me sits somewhat high on my rom-com list despite being littered with Asian drama tropes (my favorite of which has to be "cohabiting rich guy and poor girl who refuses to take his crap but sometimes takes his crap anyway because dramaland"). It was youthful, cliched, yet endearing.

This sequel, though, was absolutely terrible in comparison.

There are cliches like in the prequel, which the writers delivered as cute and gave you some giggles. And then there are cliches like in this one, which will have you laughing psychotically as you sharpen your metaphorical knives and prepare to hunt down the people who turned the plot into absolute - for lack of a better word - horseshit.

It’s important to compare this sequel with its predecessor because it is a direct continuation from where MDDNKM left off. There are many problems to be resolved, particularly the one where the relationship between the two main characters remains very ambiguous. Yet, frustratingly, the second season never delivers satisfying closure to any of the questions you may have and instead piles on dilemma after dilemma that don’t serve any real purpose other than pissing you off.

If you have disdain for any of the following cliches (contains spoilers; but who’re we kidding, this show isn’t worth watching anyway): lying ex-girlfriends, clingy third wheels latching onto the male and female main characters, a lead couple whose most effective form of communication is giving one another the cold shoulder, ridiculous birth secrets, "the girl you like is actually blood related to you", etc.; ditch this drama now. It’s pathetic how bad this all became. Every single episode of this show became the longest 20 minutes of my life and I just about wished that I would spontaneously have responsibilities to attend to so I’d be put out of the misery of sitting through them.

The acting is okay. I liked the actors way more in the first season; which might have had something to with the characters’ quirks. Some aspects of them were endearing in the first season, but rapidly became extremely annoying in this one. See reference: Qi Lu deciding that every single time Chu Xia gets pissy with him, he’ll call her stupid or some other variation instead of asking “what did I do” like any normal human being would. Gets old when it happens every episode for 20 straight episodes, boy.

Also, I’d like to mention that the editors confused the hell out of me. Why on earth would you play fun, happy background music during a scene in which two antagonists are plotting how to get rid of their rival? Whenever this happened, I half-expected a squirrel to jump out and maul them or something else that would be entertaining, but nope. It would just be a possibly suspenseful scene, ruined by a playful little jingle in the background. It seriously ruins the mood.

In a way, I consider it intelligent that none of this content was included in the first season. The quality falls so short that it’d be a real shame to drag down the fun of the first season with this trash.

tl;dr: did the director hit his head during production and decide to continue being the director?

I really enjoy this drama
I watched it because it quickly attracted my attention on an upcoming drama article. The story seem's interesting and funny : a small cute and innocent looking woman as strong as a super hero…I looked forward to see. Plus I recently saw Hwarang with Park Hyung Shik and I wanted to see more of his acting.
This drama is really funny and cute but it also has a somber part with the kidnaping investigation which is well balanced.
I love the 3 main actor they are really good and have a good chemistry.
The couple is so sweet together it's really nice to watch them.
I will probably re-watch it after some time when I want a drama that make me smile and laugh a lot.

The violence was really uncomfortable to watch & it is nearly impossible to empathise with any of the characters. I think that was the intended point according to reviews I've read but not sure of the purpose for this. Also I read that it was supposed to comment on Japanese society but unsure what exactly said commentary may be! Maybe the odd glimpse during the shopping district fight scene regarding the voyeuristic nature of society or the overall disparity of youth. But even so; I'm really unsure if that is it or as to what else it may be.

There's no reason given for any of the characters motivations either. I'm guessing Suda's character is just chaos in general & to feel superior, but why? Nothing is even hinted as to why he's so unsatisfied & the same applies to Taira, he's just someone who beats on anyone he can. Because? Well we never actually find out. Nana's character is just sort of dragged into things; but she's not likeable either & again we barely discover anything about her.

Basically it's just a movie with violence for no rhyme or reason!

Acting seemed good with everyone putting their all into their respective roles; even Komatsu Nana which I find questionable at the best of times. But besides that, there's absolutely zero I could take from this other than the feeling like I wasted my time!

I found this to be an extremely uncomfortable & headache-inducing viewing experience! I especially had trouble with the score/soundtrack. It is frenetic & an assault on the ears but I feel like it suits the intended style of the movie so it has that going for it!

Watch at your own risk.

STORY: The details cover it well. The story-telling is fast-paced, uneven, and disjointed. If it had a proper movie length, maybe they could have done a whole lot more. There are some cute moments, lots of moments with no dialog, an in-movie summary just before the end which, according to the length of this video, was silly; seriously, we just watched those scenes a few minutes ago and now you're wasting precious screen time showing us them again?

ACTING/CAST: They're cute guys. That's about all this movie has going for it.

MUSIC: Meh.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah. Might recommend a friend see it if he's got a spare hour to kill.

OVERALL: Nothing more than cute guys and the little BL on the side.

A short review of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

A very cute, funny, romantic and really well put together drama. The story was fluffy and dark at the same time. I really liked it. It's fun to watch. There were really funny characters. Funny scenes. And a beautiful ending.
Let's not forget about the chemistry between the two leads were fire hot... *the kiss in ep 15*

I started this drama because of Park Hyung Sik. For me he stole the spot light in 'Hwarang' and when i found out that he was the lead here. I had to watch it. And I'm glad that I did. Because he was absolutely amazing. He was cute, cocky and so so sweet. But in episode 14 he just became 100 times better. He did all the right thing with his lines, his delivery and with his expressions. I loved him in here. I love him everywhere. Just look at the guy's smile!

Same goes for Park Bo Young. This is was the first time I saw her. And I loved her. She is cute and on the money with her acting. She made this character look effortless. Her acting in ep 14 was wow.
And the new guy Jang Mi Kwan! Loved that physo killer.

The music was beautiful.

It's a beautiful drama. And you will love it. It's really funny. And really sweet but not over the top. It has a weird balance to it. That will make you love it. If you are into RomCom then this is your drama. And Park Hyung Sik looks awesome in here!
