Lunch Queen is definitely an enjoyable drama. There's just no way you can walk away from this drama without feeling pleasant.

The story is decent, but honestly, it's nothing that special. I don't even know what it is that made me genuinely enjoy it, but Lunch Queen left me with a warm, happy feeling.

Lunch Queen is just a feel-good drama. Nothing that outstanding or original about it, but you can count on it to put you in good spirits. The cast was really good and the actor's worked well off each other. The music was very nice and fit well with this drama, but I wouldn't go searching the internet for it to download. This was my second time watching this drama and I still didn't get bored, and I still have the same feelings, so I'd say the rewatch value is pretty good.

Not my favorite jdrama, but one of the good one's for sure.

This drama is great. 54 episodes but it was not boring at all, in fact, I got sad when it finished. One of the few famous series I have loved. The main problem is that, at first, the series is quite slow, and in the end, things happen too quickly.
Although it was very good, it is too long, so I wouldn't watch it again just for that reason.

I actually found this drama through youtube/instagram from a clip with the wife beating the husband and thought it was amusing and went to search for the drama.

When i found it i was quite disappointed cuz it looked low budget and i didnt recognize the actors. Because tragedy wasn't stated in the genre and the drama title had the words 大厨(chef) in it and as i am a foodie, i thought to give this drama a try.

After watching this drama i found it really interesting and all the food the FL cooked made me hungry and want to try the real thing. The story started out with the FL(Fang YiShao) being knocked out and subtituted the original bride Fang Yao and she woke up in the sedan, FL scolded FY dad and FL was curious who the husband was and if FL didn't like him she would just run away. But when she found out the husband was her saviour she stayed and started to cook and please the in-laws. Good thing the in-laws in the story is not those typically seen in other drama. Those that always hate the bride kind. The in-laws were really nice in fact too nice even until when they found out FL was a substitute she was still treated very nicely. I like the part when the couple went back to her 'own home' how she let them act as beggar using the excuse that it is their family tradition.?? too funny!

I was really surprised when there is actually crime related scenes in the drama, since i thought it would be just food and other things. But the crime scenes isn't any complicated type, you could probably guess the who the murderer is. This is one of the drama that i did not skip any scenes, it kept me laughing the whole way while watching this drama. It is really light hearted and different from other exaggerated/complicated drama. The FL and ML love progress wasn't too fast or too slow it was just right! The emperor was really different too, although he looks strict he is actually pretty funny. The scene where the emperor and ML played dice together until ML regreted asking his majesty to play dice instead of continuing to play chess?.

In conclusion i think this drama is good the ending wasn't abrupt at all it was a completed one, although the drama looks really low budget but it was really not that bad worth a shot to watch it! I totally don't regret watching it at all and if i have nothing to watch i would probably watch this again.

P.S.
This is the first time writing a review, please excuse my poor writing.

Just a bunch of nonsense

The story takes place around two highschool boys who are best friends since they are children. It starts with one of them ill and other donating his organ to his friend which succeeds in saving him. This organ now creates a cellular memory in the ill friend making him behave and get physical tendencies as well as behavioral tendencies of his best friend. This was the fantasy concept in nutshell. But the thing is did this drama affectively made series on it, a big fat NOOO!!!. The cellular memory concept lasted maybe few minutes last few episodes. It was made a concept just to fill few minutes in each episodes and nothing really contributing to the story.

Next, we have the typical love triangle. In most kdramas when it comes to love triangle at least in mid way you can see FL is leaning towards which ML and you can see why she is going to choose that ML. But in this series the FL is merely like a beautiful porcelain doll and both our ML always get wooed when they see her. But anything happens between them that actually feels like yeah a love story is happening. A big fat No again. No love story development. Just bunch of chit chats, gazing at each other scenes, nothing significant and at end FL chooses one even though there is actual no love story happened with either of ML.

I don't expect much from a web series, the quality if writing won't be as good as a Kdrama. But common, at least stick to a concept properly. 8 episodes of nothingness is this drama.

"Samee Chua Keun" is a lakhorn with a very interesting storyline, but the execution is so poor that it got painful. Just bad writing with some wayward characters and repititive tiring scenes that caused a headache.I think it was around ep 4 i realized how really slow the pace was.Bad lakhorns like these were done a while ago, and it is such a shame that the writers didn`t care enough to make this as good as they could when they had all the possible means to do it. They have great OST, handsome main-leads, and a great plot to build the story around and they had to make a miss out of it. Its just hard for me to comprehend that this is the same writers that made "Fah Mee Tawan" which is a favourite lakhorn of mine. Don`t let my negative review or rating affect you though, this lakhorn had at least some great episodes i enjoyed, and the on-screen chemistry between Euro and Pinkploy is really good.

This drama had a rough start, but it really grew on me. The truth is I loved this like it was an 8/10. It really was a gem with how refreshing it was compared to other mainstream Taiwanese dramas. This was a heartfelt story about two different girls who experience two different cultures. One girl dreams of visiting San Francisco since she was a child. The other girl always wanted to visit Taipei to get in touch with her roots and Taiwanese identity. When they finally arrive in these cities, they realize they are different from what they imagined them to be. I just love how the writers depicted the culture shock and cultural differences of both cities. I particularly loved how they portrayed Jo's internal struggle of being a Taiwanese American and having to juggle between two identities. The drama was by no means perfect though. It had a rocky start that was almost cringeworthy. It was a slow paced drama that would skip around a lot and use a substantial amount of flashback scenes as fillers. There were also a lot of pointless scenes that made me cringe. While the main cast did a solid acting job, some of the supporting actors were a little awkward. I loved this drama for the cultural representation, but the plot however, was somewhat of a downer.

Red flags everywhere, but...

Me encantó la química de ellos dos.
Buena trama, buenas actuaciones.

The show truly stands by it's title till the very end.

Initially I didn't think I would be this invested in a drama, waiting for every ep with an unaltered eagerness. But the writers truly delivered.

Whj was excellent as a gangster, but the character build up of Junmo was something to witness. I won't be surprised if JCW wins best actor for this drama because he truly aced it! It couldn't be any better, he brought EVERYTHING to the table.

As the story further unfolded, certain plots would seem predicable but I was glad to be wrong each time. Thankfully the drama didn't justify the wrongdoings, but at the same time they wanted us to know the consequences of every decision one makes, no matter the reason.

Overall: A MUST WATCH if you're into crime, thriller and suspense.
IT JUST WON'T DISAPPOINT.

I was really looking forward to this drama. I mean, REALLY REALLY looking forward to it. The trailers and teasers were so intense and made the series stand out among the rest of the 2017 dramas.
Even now, I feel wronged by my own decision to rate this drama quite high up there. I was actually quite disappointed that it didn't meet my high expectations. The story is predictable, not very unique but simply enjoyable enough for me. What I really disliked was the filming style. Now, I know what a low budget drama looks like. However, I mainly wanted to see Sung Hoon oppa's acting once again since I feel like he was born to play a prince charming/rich guy in a bubbly and cheesy romance drama.

To simply describe what this drama is like, I'd say it's "almost every romance Asian drama cliche jumbled up into a draggy but cute 13 episode cycle". Would I re-watch it? Probably not. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you are single and ready to watch a romantic story that you probably want to take part in someday.

One of the most phenomenal dramas ever. 54 episodes is a ton, and it does suffer from some pacing issues (as anything epic of this length must). That said, I couldn't seem to skip more than a minute of this drama! Every character is compelling, each episode's plot is worth watching...I got to episode 25 and somehow after that couldn't manage to stop watching! This has got to have some of the most satisfactory conclusions to plot strands ever. Believable acting, heartbreaking stories, you'll want to cry your eyes out in happiness.

Good Enough

" It's okay to not be okay " is a conceptional drama. It nailed the atmosphere and the whole gothic, fairytale, mysterious, dark and eerie. The addition of the books worked fantastically, the setting was brilliant and the clothes of the leading lady influential.

The story, however, of the drama was stretched. Looking back into it, nothing happened for some episodes, and the final result was the kind of 'easy' conclusion of the whole mother mystery. The side stories were underdeveloped and boring too. So, no, they didn't work on the story too much, as they focused on the clever dialogue and the atmosphere.

Nevertheless, even though storywise my rating would have been 5.5, I can't really rate it less than 7 because of the performances. The three main actors were breathtaking, especially in the dramatic scenes and one should only watch it for those performances only! (and no, I'm not a fan of the actors, but I can't stress enough how excellent they were! plz give them an award!!)

So, overall, seven out of ten (10/10 for the actors, 5/10 for the story)

Finished this drama today and the only thing I like about this drama are the side couples (the friends). The main couple's story annoyed me with all the misunderstandings and their plot story. :/

Also, I hate how the guy was "engaged" already, but didn't call it off with his fiance until the last episode! Like for real!!! I don't care if they were not in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, it's still wrong to do this to your engaged "fiance" if you didn't want to marry them. Never in any of the episodes I've watched did he say "no" to the engagement to Viky's parents and to Viky. He never called it off ever! And to make matters worst, he still continued the relationship with his "supposedly" engaged fiance (Viky), while courting Prim. Also, same thing with Prim! She knew he was engaged already, but continued the relationship with Phu too. Only when Viky was going to die did she realized that her having a romantic relationship with an engaged man (Phu) was wrong. It's not wrong to love, but you should have a conscience before starting a romantic relationship with someone before you get into it. I believe that what Phu should have done or the smart thing to do before courting Prim, would have been to call off the engagement with Viky first and expressed his feelings to her (Viky) instead of dragging the engagement throughout the drama. That would have solve all their damn issues they were having in their relationships to begin with. And, it would have made Viky not continue with her delusional thoughts of Phu and herself. Hey, she maybe a bit crazy person because of her Mom putting weird thoughts into her head later on in the drama, but she was actually an okay person at the beginning of the drama when she didn't go bat crazy. As for the brother, Pong (Viky's and Prim's Brother), was a jerk in the beginning, but he matured later on and took on responsibilities for his mistakes. He also accepted that he was having a child with a girl he made pregnant and man up for his actions. Gave him a high five for that. And thank goodness! He saw the true colors of his mother's delusions! The only thing I found weird/creepy was that he knocked up an underage girl (highschooler). They did say that he was older than her, which was weird.

Anyways, let me now talk about the mother of Viky and Pong. Hmm...I've got only two words that I can come up with that would describe her personality: Crazy and delusional. Like, damn! She blackmailed the father of her children so she could marry him and attempted to murder Prim and her Mother without thinking of the consequences. I can understand she wanted love, but her love is obsessive and abusive. In general, just toxic. Barami, the husband, should have called the engagement off if he didn't want to marry her. Hell! Even if his parents went bankrupt, he should have went to find other solutions instead of accepting something he was against (the engagement to Patchara, mother of Viky and Pong). So many issues with these two, I don't know how they became parents in this drama. Take some responsibility for once instead of blaming each other for their faults.

Also, the other friends were suppose to be "main leads" as well, but it felt more like they were "side leads" because they had less air time than the main couple's story. You know what's funny? I skipped almost most of the parts with the main couple, but when the side leads had a romantic scene it was less than the main couple. Like WHAT?! All this air time was only for that main couple and they only give us 5 minutes per episode on the side couples (friends)?! *sighs* This drama I wouldn't want to watch again. I only watched it because I got bored and had nothing to watched as I've seen better rom-com Thai drama's than this. Also, I'm tired of the female lead dates male lead with a fiance plot in most of these Thai drama's. I know there are some exceptions with Thai drama's without the suppose "fiance" or "girlfriend", but come on! Thai Drama's don't need cat fights to make the drama interesting. Bhuppae Sunniwat had no cat fights, welp maybe with the old Krakade (the evil one), but not the new one and the story was still interesting. That drama talked about history to make things interesting. You know what I thought this drama was going to be about? Shoes! They kept talking about it at the beginning of the story, but later on it just drifted off into space like it was never there. The writers only focused on the relationship problems with Prim and Phu's plot (and Prim's parents) throughout the whole drama. It got repetitive and boring. I found it also surprising that all three men fell for Prim at first sight, when her friends were just as awesome as she was. Prim is basically a Mary Sue. Her character had damsel in distress, reverse harem, dead mother, evil stepmother, sister engaged to the guy she liked, a poor middle class woman, and selfless character to almost EVERYONE (even towards the villains) in the story. MARY SUE screams all over her.

Even though the story line of this drama is very common to c in Kdrama it was still rly good. I enjoyed it mostly b/c of the actors/actresses. The leads were perfect. I enjoyed the chemistry that flowed between not just the main couple but the love triangle/secondary couple. There were so many back stories that kept popping up that made this drama more interesting than just the main story line. The drama made me laugh, cry (not rly, but figuratively), and made me want to watch it again. The last episode was the best, b/c I just love babies. I think if u watch this drama it will make u feel many different things & u will want to watch it till the end. I will prolly watch this drama again b/c I rly loved the acting & it made me laugh A LOT! Check it out 4 urself. Enjoy!~)

Keep Calm and Hang On....This isn't your ordinary game show within this drama. I'm going to alter this review a little differently than I normally do since this is a part of my Psychological Challenge requirements. Check it out.

How is this plot differs from other psychological dramas?

This plot involves a setting of a Giga Television produced show named 'The Quiz Show'. The show offers an alternate approach where a new contestant appears on the show each show along with the wacky host. The contestant must answer a series of questions in order to make it to the 'Dream Chance', however little as they know, the questions later involve their deepest darkest secrets where each contestant highlights one of the Seven Deadly sins. The question is 'Will one admit one's own deadly sin or will one be unable to admit it?'

First Thing I Notice About This Drama:

The opening theme song consists of Metal and Screamo Japanese music with English lyrics surprisingly. My keyword: Unique is what I'm calling this opening since many openings are bright, vibrant, and not as an attention-grabbing as this one.

Is the acting any good?

When I hear this type of question, I automatically think of the main characters within the drama. The wacky host, MC Tazaki portrays two sides of his character-the side of him who is ill-mannered, locked up, lonely, and loss of memory, and the 'host' side of him who is outrageous, abnormal, crazy, and energetic. His acting is done phenomenally which I mainly watch this show solely based on his outstanding acting.
The show's producer, Yamanobe Kengo is a dark character where he portrays a sadistic, evil side as well as an insecure, jealous man. His body in one of the episode blow me away! On the other hand, his acting is brilliant. No doubt, both of the main characters portrayed their roles well.

Are there any twists within the drama? Is it bloody or gruesome?

There is barely any scenes with blood involved. Most of it is well hidden and shows some blood in a scene or two. Nothing is too major. In most psychological dramas that I've watched, there are always twists presented. To answer this, yes, there is a twist. Unluckily, I was not able to solve the story itself before the drama started unraveling the story. I did pick up a clues here and there. Not enough for me to figure the ending.

Overall, I recommend this drama to anyone who is a fan of game shows, psychological, suspense, and adores 'twist' types of dramas. I had tremendous amounts of fun figuring out each contestant's darkest secret and whether they will win the prize or not.

Have fun and keep on guessing!

This show has so much more depth to it than just a "detective drama". Though I'm sorry that I probably can't say the following well, I can say that this show has so much more to it than your usual police/detective/crime/mystery/thriller show. There are so many more emotions and genuine, unique, honest traits that make this show such the amazing show it is.

First off, and possibly most importantly, is the cast. This show is filled with a cast of amazing stars, to say the least. Whether it be the main, support, or guest cast! Each moment of this show was filled to the brim with thrills, suspense, action, comedy, drama, mystery, and so much more and I believe that was in (at least halfway) due to the cast selected for each episode and for the entire show. With such a strong cast, it is very easy to see how this show has wowed so many people. However, I still think it's a little bit underrated, and that may possibly be because of the synopsis. I mean, I cannot be the only one who thought: "retirees helping a rookie detective? definitely boring or some comedy"...right? If I'm wrong, I sincerely apologize. But, trust me: The above, previous, thought is definitely wrong!

Secondly, the story in itself is something viewers see a lot within detective shows, right? However, this show is different. This show has a story that is just so completely different from the "normal" detective shows that I'm at a loss for words, and I just finished the entire series in one day; that's how amazed I am. This story is so classic, yet so new at the same time. I think that is what makes it so special. For example, while you're watching, you may think that this show definitely has no point and will somehow (maybe even sloppily, very quickly) throw together some random finale episode(s). Which is what I thought as well. However, if you pay attention very closely, you can almost see the entire plot become strung together within each episode, piece by piece. There are hints and there are fake hints, too, but if you properly pay attention to each episode the story may come in to view, or it just may become extremely confusing.

You would think I have a third, or maybe even fourth, point here but I don't. In fact, my first and second points were probably so obvious to other viewers. Trust me, this show is something special; something that does not come around very often. The acting and story were solid, very genuine and real. Each moment was so gut-wrenching, heartfelt, knowledgeable, practiced and perfected through very visible hard work, talent, and respect. Every detail was so painstakingly created with respect and pride and love for the craft from the writer(s), director, crew and staff, cast and guest(s), even the soundtrack and other behind the scenes people(s) that this show is quite literally a "masterpiece".
