Why are there so many negative comments about Nightwatchman's Journal? Comments on how long it took them to become…
I haven't watched yet the big-number episode historical dramas (my first biggie drama is Endless Love currently airing, you could call it a historical one among other genres, but in modern Korean times), but they're in my plans, they just require lots of time and attention and Xmas for example is a good period for that; or before that, if i start starving for historical dramas i'll definitely start one of the biggies, Empress Ki or Gu Family Book or something like them, i wanna start Secret Door too but i'm into so many dramas this period. My problem with Night Watchman's Journal is that since it is a 20-episode drama it could have had more side-action or something. Since the last 2 episodes got back on track for me, i dare say i expect too much from the last 4 ones.

I think the King (Rins Father) is alive.
She sang a lullaby for him once with wet eyes, the old night watchman Sang Heon has bowed to her and in the last episode when she became vengeful for a while by grabbing from the neck one of the prime minister's faithful soldiers while he was searching at Rin's place for the blood-written letter of Rin's mother, that soldier was the man who killed Rin's mother. These spirits are vengeful because they had an unjust death and they can torment those who killed them (like handmaiden Kim was causing migraine to the king because he had told lies about her leading her being killed etc). From the last episode, Jeong Seung ghost (not the eunuch ghost, the other one) recognized her as well i think. In crucial moments concerning Rin she seemed too concerned as well.

The form of a little girl i think it is to prevent Rin from getting into trouble with prime minister.

It's Rin's mother. In her childhood form probably, or just a random girl shape.

I'll speak for myself. In this case, the only fact that is straight is my personal opinion on this drama, references to other dramas have really nothing to do with this specific series. It doesn't matter to me how many episodes it took to other dramas to unfold the specific flow of a character since here everything's about Night Watchman's Journal. Since i'm watching this drama and i'm not dropping it and i personally insist on myself that i should keep watching it until the end to form an overall opinion on it gives me every right to express my opinion. If i feel expressing what i think feels negative in the flow of this drama, i will definitely say it, if something goes well, i will definitely praise it. I won't bash the drama just for the shake of it, after all i find the last 2 episodes (15&16) really good and if it keeps up this way and even better it will be good for me. Just my two cents speaking about myself + not everyone has the same taste :P

Can i watch this individually without having watched the 1st season? Or should i follow the time order?
Αrigato! I'll take that into serious consideration :)

Yeah, he can stick his trauma up his ears if he doesn't feel like healing it. He just relaxed on the sofa as if he achieved the greatest goal in the history of mankind instead of apologizing xD Yes, Sawa's punishment was all these years, that's enough of a burden to bear, she deserves her cleansing. I'm still hoping for a bright ending and a drama special, i just can't believe the end is only episode ahead :(

That's what he probably is. OK, he has a soul trauma from his father cheating on his mother, he has another trauma from his mother treating him as a mama's boy, i can understand that, but he never really tried to see the truth and face it so that his life would go back to normal despite his mental regression. And even if there is a girl at his office that actually has the spiritual nerve against all terms of logic to like him, he insults her and makes her leave at a crucial point when he could start his life anew, both for him and for Sawa. When he called his mother an old rag i laughed so hard though, then he accepted that's he's a lowlife (something he actually is) that his wife is cheating on him, but he never asked himself why would poor Sawa would do that if he wouldn't make her feel so empty and woman-less! He was so mad after one of his hamsters was lost that he couldn't think straight but only accuse Sawa, this person doesn't deserve to be by her side. This drama makes me think so much -.-

Me neither, he's a hamster mama's boy unable to love anyone else but himself in a metrosexual way without even being able to support his looks xD

She definitely deserves it. And her husband can marry his hamsters and live happily ever after with them.

Title My Blooming Days Spoiler
It keeps getting sad for the Younger brother but i just don't feel his love towards Bom Yi as much as towards…
I get the same impression, he can't stand losing another woman to his older brother, i think his ego is bigger than his love towards Bom Yi and i think that because he knows her new heart belonged to the woman he couldn't be with due to his older brother it kind of relieves him and makes him feel closer to Soo Jung in a manner of speaking. So losing Bom Yi and Soo Jung's heart (for the second time in a lifetime) would be too much for him.

"You said you'd return the favor if you met her again." That was touching by actually knowing that she really did return the favor to the utmost level a human being ever could.

Other than a regular, known storyline.. This drama really lacks nothing.
That's the key part of dramas with a regular storyline that distinguishes them from mediocre dramas and makes them shine on their own despite the already used in the past storyline: the intensity and purity of emotion and the way these are being depicted on the screen and how emotionally charged is the transaction between the series and the audience.

And yes, so far it lacks nothing.

Title Plus Nine Boys Spoiler
It's so nice watching such episodes with good OST as well on rainy evenings!

Woa, it was sweet finding out that Jin Gu had changed neighborhood but still he'd accompany Se Young back home in the same bus just be with her and make sure she'd be fine on her way back home, without her knowing he had moved out of his previous apartment! "I was sincere with you all along, you just wouldn't believe me."

Dong Gu owned it, while other kids were kind of stressed and preparing their moves, he was sitting like a stardom status rock n roll star on his armchair xD What was the first song he was dancing to before the dude came up to show him a move and the Gangnam kiddo?

Lol, at the live show of Standing Egg the audience moving those sticks they were like hysterical maestros on hypothermia xD But i like how Min Gu's relationship steadily improves and surpasses barriers step by step and the bridge (which is an important place for them) scene was powerful.

And for Christ's sake, Da In stop being so cruel on Kwang Su, he doesn't deserve this after all these years and he deserves an answer for what happened in the past. I'm glad Kwang Su's not giving up on her; i really hope the child is Kwang Su's. It could be the reason for what happened in the past, that she was pregnant and she wasn't either ready for this or for marriage or both of them so she freaked out. I really hope there's a good explanation about what happened between them in the past.

"What changes a man isn't the world or time. What changes a man is the girl he loves." So true!

Now scriptwriter, make the episodes 16 again.
